My small contributes to the @beybladeweek2021, Day 1 and 2!

I chose the themes Childhood and Friendship/Beach/Summer. I was going to scan them, but I figured that “fuck it, pencils never end up nice in the scanner either way” so... I sketch much faster in pencil than on my tablet, and since I am currently writing my master’s thesis, I am short of time to do anything else.

Childhood

Baby Sergei is still a tol boi, and has four little angels devils to protect. Not an easy task, considering where they are (I am not good at doing backgrounds, but ya know). Also, Boris and Yuriy won’t let go of each other even when they’re asleep.

Friendship/Beach/Summer

The boys are bigger, free and ready for a day in the sun... well, gingers be gingers. And yes, I firmly believe that Boris would wear that tank top. Sergei still takes care of his little devils.

I’ll see if I can do anything more before the week is over!

The Beyblade fics were all old ones I’ve reposted from ff.n. I still have a few more that I should really get around to posting.... Supernatural I’ve pretty much given up on though I do have a few wips I may finish still. I fully intend to write a lot more VLD and Batfam in the future though.

Let me say it’s like I was slapped back into 2005 with that first person tag being on there. But I mean I’d write this. It leaves a lot of room for things to go really wrong, be hilarious and also cute.

7. How many WIPs do you have currently running on AO3? Any you don’t plan on finishing?

I have 5. Falling in Love (But In Swedish) and A Roomba By Any Other Name are both actively getting worked on so they are not in danger. Clumsy First Love I have the next chapter like 90% written and I’m just too much of a disaster. I should really just hunker down and finish it. ;-; As for I Can’t Get bi Without You I really want to finish it but like it’s hard when the only people that seem to be enjoying it are me and Rose. And it should be enough that we love it but sometimes finding that motivation is just UGH. And then Seize The Moment... yah dead in the water. I wanted to finish it but at this point I’m so disillusioned with the spn fandom and lack of support I got on my fanfics that I have very little motivation to touch it ever again. It makes me sad but just... yah no.

OKAAAAAYYYY so this is my first chapter of my first published work. I started writing this way back IN 2013 (?!?!!) and I will update it whenever I can. Every thread is not tied together yet.

Note: There is (among others) an OC named Novak in this story, but it is NOT a self-insert story. I took the nickname around the same time I started writing Catalyst, but the character is a completely different person than me. Also, every OC will make sense for the plot, I swear it. A contribute to the @beybladeweek2021

Summary:

For the first time since the events of the World Championship in Russia, a new tournament in being held in Moscow. The teams are told that this will be a different kind of tournament, where the main goal is to celebrate friendships and cultural differences among them.

Kai is not happy to be back in Russia. He has recently testified against his grandfather Voltaire and Boris Balkov and is awaiting the outcome of the trial. He knows that he’s in grave danger of being dragged back to the Abbey, where Yuriy and his team still remains. If that happens, Kai is not sure if he will make it out alive again.

When a new team joins the tournament, Kai is forced to face and rethink his past as well as his future. The Joined Hands Tournament will be different indeed!

Does anyone know if Beyblade Rising will be available as... you know, printed volumes, in English? I have tried to Google it, to no use.

And, yes, I know that I can read it online, but the collector/bibliophile in me REALLY craves physical manga volumes on my bookshelf.

August 2nd - Happy Birthday, Kai Hiwatari!

Canonly, our dear Kai turns thirty (30!) yo today, how sick is that? (Aoki Takao stated his birthday to August 2nd 1988, you do the math)

So, as a way to celebrate this date, I cracked open my beloved external harddrive and dug deep into the treasure crate. Four-five years ago, while living with @greentaleteller, I did some homecooked Bakuten Shoot Beyblade memes inbetween homework and nervous breakdowns. 

And what better time to bring them up, than on my favorite Beyblade characters’ birthday?  Kai, whadd’ya say?

I just signed up for 2018′s Mini BeyArMaMo-challenge!!! 

Yes, it’s true! Since I currently take a part-time manga class, I figured it will be good training for me.
