~ Have you wondered how big an act of faith you perform every single night, as you fall asleep in the arms of darkness, trusting life to awaken you each morning, back to light? ~ @anvidoshi

~ 'quiet enjoyment' ~ ~ the art of deriving deep joy from life's moments tenderly, without feeling the need to talk about it.~ . e.g: a small, steady smile as you breathe in the fresh morning air, humming softly as you prepare coffee, feeling content while you create, sitting down with a loved one in shared silence. 🌼 . . ~ you owe yourself the love you crave for ~ . since we were children, we've been conditioned to see love as some thing outside of ourselves. We associate it with a soulmate, friends or family. . hence, to feel loved has always been a waiting game for someone's care and attention. To feel nourished, an external dependency. . often, we forget we are love-incarnates ourselves. We are independent lighthouses of love and are fully capable to provide ourselves with the detailed care we crave and need. . healthy companionship with ourselves or others can never exist if we keep seeking the love we need from an external resource and expect it consistently. . if we can just reconnect to that sweet spot which tells you what you need from time to time and ask ourselves how we can provide the same, love becomes an active force in our day-to-day living. . it stops being a dormant, passive energy that only springs up with external association. . loving ourselves isn't a choice, really. Come to think of it, it is a very primal need on which rests the very core of our being. . here's to hoping we look at ourselves a little differently today.🌼

~ This teaching, among the many that make this heart soar, comes from my spiritual teacher, my Guru. . I hope we each turn inwards and I hope we find the inherent, never-fading, gorgeous, priceless treasure of our own self.  . Here's to experiencing we are our own home.~

~ Today, I want to share something very dear to my heart, something that's become my Golden Mantra of sorts. I recently learnt and experienced that whenever you feel you're at a dead-end, lost or have 10% of clarity on a subject: . a) Pray: Take that 10% clarity and go ahead with it rather than wait for the remaining 90%. With that 10%, head to the Universe or to whichever divine energy you believe in and ask for help. Pray: about your worries, your hopes, your want for guidance and rest all of it on the Universe. Let it be there for you. . b) Act: Once you've teamed up with the Universe, pinpoint areas where you can start taking immediate action. What is the work you need to put in and in which areas? Prayer is one half of the Divine Teamwork, taking action is the next. It solidifies your hope and makes you feel actively responsible for your path. It makes you feel like a thriving part of it rather than a passive onlooker. . c) Surrender: Once you've acted in the best way you could, however minimal your actions might feel at times, surrender the outcome to the universe. Trust the divine plan and trust its timing. It is never wrong. Let go of your mind's need to control the result and trust the universe's splendid, ever-caring magic. . . P.S: Most often than not, we are the only ones in our way. Let's open our hearts to help (both divine and human), and let's learn to get out of our own way. 🌼 ~ . . ~ notes from everyday ~

~ May I live today as it comes.~ . May I surrender my expectations of how it "should be", with all my "what ifs" and "buts".✨ . May I be present to this day, with an open mind and a loving heart.✨

~ You can pour love into the world from where you are, here and now. ~ . Not needing to wait till you are 'perfect', till all of your ideas have fallen into place, you can breathe into your purpose, as you are today. . To fill yourself first before filling others, to love yourself first before loving others, to heal yourself first, before you heal others, that is all this journey asks.

~ When we have a constantly active inner critic that thrives on self-hate, try as hard as we may, it becomes extremely difficult to move towards positive self-growth. . The negative self-talk from such an inner critic instantly demotivates you and since that's all we hear, we begin to see ourselves solely from the eyes of this critic. . This propels us to second-guess the nourishing choices we've decided to make and stops us from taking regular action to back these choices, hence causing us to stay in this same toxic loop of self-caused pain.  . If we get down to the root of this, we realize, that in order to back ourselves up, we need to trust ourselves. Due to loop patterns of self-destructive behavior (both conscious + unconscious), without knowing it, over time, we lose trust in our self and our power to make healthy choices. . The way out, I've realised over this past year, is to back the promises you make to yourself by regular, consistent actions.  . This weakens the negative self-talk the inner critic often thrives on and suddenly, there opens a tiny space where you start seeing yourself minus this toxic lens of self-hate (which is the primary cause of self-hurt and self-sabotage).  . Slowly, by backing the words + choices we tell & make for ourselves with regular, positive actions, we invite buds of self-trust to bloom once more.

~ it's okay to bloom at your own pace ~  . Blooming isn't a competition. It doesn't have a predefined pace. . Often, our social media feeds may make us feel "slow" about our personal growth but may we know that the obstacles and curves in our path are only known to us. . Nobody else can determine your healing or its pace. Nobody else has a say in how you grow and what your growth should look like. . The courage it takes to show up day after day, isn't a visible thing. It happens only within. . So the next time we get tempted to compare our '3' to somebody's '20', may we stop ourselves and acknowledge the beauty of our own inner journey. 🌼
