what do i do when i have writing block? write a drabble for reo of course, the cure for my halt and depression, a man that i need in my life
Tumblr media
reo knew this is a bad idea.
maybe if he had a little piece of mind and considered the fact that you will end up inebriated to the point where you were wiggling around like a spaghetti, leaping joyfully every short second you got. even chanting a random melody, handing him a non-existence microphone as if you were in a karaoke, 一a place he grew to love because of you一
don't get him wrong, reo loved a lot of things about you, most of seeing you carefree, like a free bird. shuffling around the street for all what you cared for the world, he couldn't feel anything but the universe thumping in his ribcage.
it was you two engagement celebration. nevertheless, he scored nothing more then be enclosed by other reeking riches bastard, he spent the whole night seething at whoever laid an eye on you. violet hues filled with cold acquisitive greed. that left him drying sober, he just couldn't drift away his eyes of you. and if it wasn't for the cockblooker 一aka his parents一 crawling his way to guests that he bet reading a newspaper would have been more fun than keeping a chat with them, he would've been spent the whole night glued to your figure.
before he knew it, you were all drunk and barely able to walk two steps straight. reo wanted any reason to leave early anyway, so he take off your shoes ever so mildly, caressing his fingers cautiously beyond the pained parts, mainly the heel to the achilles tendon. you mumbled something about the pairs suffocating you throughout the whole night. so now they were hung by his two fingers.
all what he had of despair glided into ashes the moment it was only you and him, it may be left uncharted, but reo always felt like it was only the two of you in this world, a world where he doesn't have to carry the burden of being judged, where he can spin you around without worrying about slamming flatly onto the floor, where he can slow dance with you in his arms without feeling like an idiot every time he stepped on your feet 一out of nervousness, not his fault that your face was too much of a distraction.
"heyyyy, reoo, look at me! don't i look enlightened under the sunlight." you sluggish, a hand under your chin as you posed, feeling yourself as you blow your fiancé's a kiss. reo cold feel an arrow keening throughout his heart, and somehow he still managed to gather himself to not collapse on the dirty ground.
"dearest. as much as you look astonishing as ever, this is a street light, and it's almost midnight."
your face fell off onto a sulk, flipping your thumb downward at reo. "booo, haterr." you say as you stick out your tongue at your soon to be husband beaming back playfully, he wasn't even bothered.
"I assure you, my love. no hater is willing to carry these pair of shoes. they hella stinky." says reo, shoving your pairs away as possible, even blocking his nose holes merrily. and he couldn't be happier when you gasped dramatically, slamming your palm on your chest where your poor, fragile heart shattered at such painful words.
"nonsense! i will not take such a fails accusation! these twins of mine will remain memorized forever," you say heedlessly, whirling around in circles to prove your pointlessness.
reo says something about being careful, but you keep spinning yourself until your vision becomes blurry and your eyes were drifting in different directions. you were dizzy, so dizzy your feet were betraying you, you couldn't keep your balance, and before you meet the ground, a firm arm caught you midway.
"hey! i told you to be careful," reo's hand made it way to your waist, keeping you in shape. you almost felt like a slimy baby in his grip, he wanted to scold you more, for being reckless, for smiling broadly and making him gush, for holding his soul hostage, but he was far, far a goner to be rescued.
"haha, i did it because i knew you'd catch me." your chuckles overcome him any sense of life within him, the amethyst eyes of his only sees you, only felt the wreck of yearning pouring on you, reo's heart was pinning under your spell.
"yeah?" he asked, a stupid lovesick smile on his face.
"mhm! you'd always come to catch me when i fall." you were right, he'd jog his way to the end of the world for you. to make sure your save and sound.
"always," he assures you, tightening his hand to pull you even closer that no such thing as personal space exists between him and you, your light cologne blending with his heavy one. he snuggled his nose against the skin of your neck, drinking on your scents, as if it was the only air that bloomed his lungs. it was ticklish that it made you laugh inwardly, which was a balm on his chest. presses a quick peck on your warm cheek along the way. then carrying you with one hand like a lightweight tool to him.
"let's go home my prince charming, i need to take a looong bath." you babbled, fondling him a sloppy kiss just an inch away from his lips. a little dumbfounded, he still drags you alongside with him, you were a farther goner to notice the struck expression he had glued to his face, a faint reddish hue across his cheekbones and tip-ears.
"I'm already embracing it." maybe you were too drunk to hear that, maybe he didn't say it out too loud, maybe he's too in love to care, who knows.

Wrong Number 6
one again i lied and we have probably a couple more parts after this
Morning came, and Steve had never been happy at the fact that his date wasn't lying next to him. He liked to imagine it now though, Eddie lying shirtless in bed, his curls strewn about the pillows. He wondered how far those tattoos went. He woke up around nine, but since Eddie said brunch, he let himself laze about for a bit before rolling out of bed. He had taken the soiled panties off last night, so he was bare from the waist down.
He grabbed a robe and wrapped it around himself, then went to the kitchen to start making something to eat. To his surprise, Eddie started the call. He picked up, smiling as Eddie's face filled the screen.
"Mornin' beautiful."
"Good morning. Sleep well?"
"I bet it would've been even better with you in bed", Eddie said.
Steve heard the familiar sound of a toaster popping something out. "And what are you making for brunch?"
"Pop Tarts", Eddie beamed, reaching over to put them on a plate. "And you?"
"Just a Hot Pocket", Steve said, half-honest.
"Aaaand?"
"....And some toast."
"What kind of bread, Steve?"
"...It's homemade milk bread."
"Aha! Culinare Extraordinaire strikes again!"
"Okay, but I made it days ago and it's just down to the nubbin and I thought I might as well go ahead and use it and-"
"The what?", Eddie interrupted.
"What?"
"Did you just call the end of the loaf the 'nubbin'?"
Steve's toast popped out and he began to butter it. "What do you call it?"
"What everyone else does: kiss bread."
"Alright, you gotta explain kiss bread to me", Steve said as he took his plate to the table.
Eddie was already seated with his food and some orange juice. "Because it-well the two ends...you know I don't know why, but that's what it's called. Not a nubbin."
"Well you can be wrong wherever you are. If you want to change my mind, you'll have to hop on a plane and come here."
"Speaking of...", Eddie started.
Steve raised a brow. "Are you ready to talk about it?"
"I think now is good. Last night my higher brain functions were, let's say preoccupied", Eddie smirked.
Steve crossed his legs, wondering how Eddie would feel if he knew he was currently bottomless. If he was here, what would he do? Probably feel him up under the table...God, it would break his and Robin's rule but he'd let Eddie take him right here in this kitchen if his actions were as good as his words last night.
"You still with me, Stevie?"
"Mmm, I'm thinking that I might need to invest in a few more pairs."
"Baby you could get me to commit murder with the right lingerie", Eddie admitted. The 'right' kind being any kind really. The panties had been a much appreciated surprise but anything that showed off his thick, hairy legs and that bulge would have seduced him thoroughly.
"Could I convince you to meet me somewhere? In person?", Steve asked, batting his lashes without meaning to.
"You can put those eyes of yours away, darlin'. I was already thinking of how we could meet. I really wanna see you. And touch you. All of you, not just your dick."
"Me too. So um, we could probably figure out a good, like middle ground?"
Eddie nodded and Steve was already running the numbers for taking a plane across the country and when he'd have a full weekend to do so when Eddie told him that he not only lived in the same state but in literally just the next town over.
"Eddie...are you telling me that you live thirty minutes away?"
"Steve, are you telling me that my town is thirty minutes away from yours?"
"Are you telling me I could've passed by you on the street?"
"There's a lot of telling-not-telling going on here", Eddie laughed.
"Looks like I won't need a plane ticket after all."
"Not unless you're gonna shell out for a crop duster. We could make it real dramatic", Eddie said. "Picture it. You step out of the plane in a suit and fedora. I'll be standing there, the wind blowing my coat as I run into your arms."
"Sounds romantic", Steve sighed.
"Well if it's romance you want, I might have an idea of where to go..."
While Steve and Eddie hashed out the details of their meeting, Robin came in, looking for pleased for just finishing a 'walk of shame'.
"Hey Robs. Good night with your date, I presume?", Steve smiled.
"Is that the infamous Robin?", Eddie asked.
"Is that the infamous Eddie?", Robin asked right back. She went to the coffeemaker to start brewing a pot.
"I'm told I have you to thank for Steve's outfit last night", Eddie smirked.
Robin stuck her tongue out at Steve in an 'I told you so' move. "You can thank me by not going into details."
"She doesn't like details?", Eddie asked Steve.
"Only when they're gross or embarrassing", Steve answered.
"Hmm, so she wouldn't wanna hear how gorgeous you looked while you were-"
"Lalalalalaaaa! I don't hear this!", Robin sang while waiting for the coffee to be done.
"Oh but I looove hearing it. Tell me more, Eddie. How good did I look when I-"
"LA. LA. LA! If you're gonna be gross, you make my coffee! I'm taking a shower!" Robin shouted her demand while covering her ears and rushing out of the kitchen.
"Don't we know how to clear a room?", Eddie grinned.
"Looks like we won't ever be strapped for alone time."
They talked some more and by noon, Steve had a date to Eddie's axe range next weekend. And damn if the week never felt so long. Even though he was getting more Eddie than ever. They still texted at least once a day, called every other day, and even started following each other on their socials. Steve even stalked the account of Bullseye Axe Throwing just to watch the couple of promo videos that had Eddie in them.
The night before their date, they were talking on the phone, too excited to sleep.
"I can't believe I'm actually going to see you tomorrow." Steve was lounging in bed, looking at his date outfit as it hung on his closet door.
"Me neither. I'm still not totally convinced you're not just some dream made up by AI."
"I don't know whether to be flattered or offended. AI images can be downright scary."
"Take it as a compliment", Eddie said. "I get more points when you like me."
"...And you're still okay with Robin coming?", Steve asked for what must be the third time.
Eddie understood her concern. Meeting someone could be risky, no matter how much you talked. And he was the one that invited Steve to a place filled with weapons. It wasn't the most traditional date spot but Eddie had always dreamed of bringing someone there and showing them how romantic axes could be. Maybe Steve was that someone.
"Baby, I don't mind. I already told you. I'd love to meet the person who has intimate knowledge of your underwear drawer."
Steve blushed. He and Eddie hadn't really done anything since their last date, besides a couple of suggestive texts. He was sure that on Saturday night, all Eddie would have to do is shake his hand and he'd crumble.
"You know if you're good, you'll get to see it all first hand", Steve reminded him, his voice low now.
"Oh I can be good. You know I can be good."
Steve knew very well. So well that he'd touched himself to the idea this past week and after saying so to Eddie, Eddie had admitted the same.
"You shoulda called me, baby", he had said. "We could've coordinated our horniness."
Suffice to say, the anticipation for their first in real life meeting was thicker than a souffle pancake. When Saturday morning came, Steve felt like he was going to throw up. What if Eddie saw him and decided he didn't like him? They'd only seen each other through screens and Steve tried to only let his best angles be seen.
What if he didn't like....what if he didn't like his ears? Or his elbows? Or something else Steve had never even though of? What if he said the wrong thing and wasn't interesting enough?
"I can tell you're spiraling", Robin said from the couch where she was eating cereal and watching the news.
"Eddie is-"
"Just a man. A man who would be lucky to have you."
"Lucky to have me. Eddie would be lucky to have me", Steve repeated like a mantra, then sat next to Robin.
"You're a catch."
"I'm a catch."
"With an ass that won't quit."
"My ass has never taken a day off", Steve nodded to himself. "Okay. I'm good. Any cereal left?"
"Only the health stuff."
"Why do we buy that again?"
"So we can live long enough to grow old in the same retirement home", Robin reminded him.
Steve smiled. She really was his forever girl. And tonight she'd be going with him with what could be his romantic soulmate. No pressure? No pressure.

Bad Boy/Good Girl ~ *Keisuke Baji*
Tumblr media
Summary: Everyone assumes Keisuke is a bad boy, with his motorcycle and leather jacket. But little do they know, it's the opposite in your relationship...
Pairing: Keisuke Baji X G/N!Reader
Genre: Fluffy Oneshot
Word Count: 1261
Warning: N/A
Masterlist
A/N: This is actually garbage.
The unmistakable roar of a motorcycle could be heard throughout the campus parking lot. However everyone knew exactly who it was without having to look. Even if they did have to look to see who was here, there was no mistaking that signature black leather jacket, slicked back black hair and captivating eyes that could make any girl swoon. But Keisuke didn’t want to make just any girl swoon. He only had eyes on one girl in particular.
After entering the campus parking lot, he perched on his bike, watching with mild curiosity at the people coming in and out of the building before him. He was currently waiting for a certain person to leave said building. Of course, no one around here knew that. This was the first time he was ever seen on the university campus, much less the Communications Department building, so everyone who was meandering about automatically assumed he was up to no good.
The reason for his visit to this university came soon enough, with a scowl on her face as she marched over to him. Immediately, Keisuke perked up at the sight of her, standing up quickly as the pleasant look on his face turned into a frown. She didn’t say anything, just leaned her head against his chest and sighed dramatically.
“What’s wrong?” He mumbled, his deep voice reverberating against the top of her head. In her position, she couldn’t see the light blush on his cheeks. He didn’t really like PDA as it usually left him flustered, but he didn’t have the heart to tell her to get off of him.
“I hate tests.”
“Did you get your final score back already?” Her audible wince told him all that he needed to know about how it went. He instantly wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into a warm embrace. Yeah, so much for Keisuke not liking PDA. “It’s okay, baby. I'm sure you did your best! And I know if I was taking that class, you would've scored higher than me!”
“No, it’s not okay, but it's whatever.” She sighed, standing up straighter. “I suppose I just wasn’t meant to have a good life.”
It was his turn to scowl at her words, holding her at an arm’s length away so that he could scold her properly. “Don’t say that! You have me, you know! Am I really that bad that you think your life isn't good just because I'm in it?”
She burst out laughing at his reaction before lightly punching him in the shoulder. “It was just a joke, Kei, baby! Man, you should have seen the look on your face! You looked so terrified! I know I shouldn’t laugh but you’re so funny, baby! Seriously! I’m going to die, you’re so funny!”
“I didn’t think it was all that funny, babe.” Keisuke grumbled, looking away from her and trying not to get too upset with her laughter.
Pressing a soft kiss to his cheek, she giggled at his dark blush. “Don’t look so glum, Kei. It’s Friday and you know what that means. It’s the weekend and you promised to take me to the movies this weekend! So let’s get going! I don’t want to miss anything!”
He nodded. “You’re right, I did promise you. But I don’t know if I want to take you anymore.”
She started to pout. “Why not?”
“Because you were making fun of me!” Keisuke whined with a teasing smile.
Chuckling, she pressed a couple more kisses to his cheeks. “I’m sorry, Kei, baby. I didn’t mean to laugh so hard at you. You know I love you right?”
“Yeah, I know.” He mumbled before clearing his throat, trying to get rid of his embarrassment. “Alright, I guess we can go now."
She was about to climb onto his motorcycle when he lifted up his helmet to her, making her groan. “Aww, c’mon! Do I have to? I trust you to be a safe driver!”
“Y/n, I’m just trying to protect you, like a good boyfriend. I don’t want you getting hurt! You’re too special to me.”
Scrunching up her nose, she replied. “You’re too protective of me, Kei! And you're so damn cheesy! It’s almost sickening how cute you are. And you’re always saying you don’t like being cute when you’re the epitome of adorable!”
Keisuke blushed darker before muttering, “Please, everyone knows you’re the cute one in the relationship. I’m the big, scary, bad boy. You’ve heard what people have said about me. I’m always up to no good and all of that.”
“Oh, a bad boy! Is that what you are?” She loudly laughed at his words. “Says the man who always makes me wear a helmet when we go riding on his bike because he’s afraid of me getting hurt when we both know I won’t. Says the man who always calls me his precious baby. Says the man who bought me this sweater because he was afraid I’d get too cold this fall and didn’t want me to get sick!”
“But,” Keisuke attempted to argue with her, “I thought you liked being called my precious baby? Also you look really pretty in that color and I really don’t want you to get sick! Then I have to take care of you and we both know you shouldn’t be missing any more classes than you already do.”
She sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. “You know, I could always return this sweater and get a different boyfriend, one who understands me better.”
Pouting some more, Keisuke sniffed, not looking at you. “Y/n, don’t make me sad.”
“I was just kidding again.” She teased, patting his cheek gently before letting her hand trail down his neck and rubbing his arm. She bit her lip as her imagination went wild. “You know, if you’re such a “bad boy”, I say you get some more tattoos to prove it. A sleeve would look really nice. I could even help you pick some out and I have a cousin who can do them for a reduced charge.”
He rolled his eyes with a scoff. “We’re not having this conversation again, babe.”
Leaning in, she whispered seductively in his ear, “But it would be super hot.”
“Y/n!” Keisuke squeaked, his breath hitching in his throat.
Laughing at his bright red blush, she climbed onto his bike. “C’mon! Let’s go! The movie I want to see starts in fifteen minutes and I don’t want to miss it!”
He held up the helmet again, before saying, “Helmet on or we’re not going anywhere.”
She took it begrudgingly, grumbling under her breath. As she snapped it into place, she mumbled. “You’re lucky I look good in this.”
“You always look adorable, my precious baby.” Keisuke cooed with a smirk before getting on his bike as well. He felt his heart flutter when she wrapped her arms around him. He quickly started it up and revved the engine because he knew how much she liked it.
Giggling, she shouted over the engine, “Floor it, Kei, baby! I love the feeling of the wind through my hair, even if it is covered by this ridiculous helmet.”
“No way. I don’t want you falling off or getting hurt, babe.”
With a smirk, she leaned in closer, her lips brushing his ear again, making him shiver. “I guess I’ll just have to hold on to you tighter.”
Right before they took off, he muttered, “And they say I’m the bad boy. Leave it to me to fall for a bad girl.”

late to the unpopular opinion party but!!.
i think the way people act as though aaron is some kind of monster for not seeing how much andrew cares about him is excessive. i get where they’re coming from but taking a second and putting yourself in aaron’s shoes makes his whole deal a lot more understandable.
we all know through killing tilda, andrew was killing aaron’s abuser, but i think an abuser being a loved one in the past makes everything a lot more complicated and aaron had every right to be upset and grieve. and if i were aaron, being locked in a bathroom would not sit right with me no matter how well intentioned it might have been.
as readers we see a lot of how much andrew cares for aaron and i get that it’s easy to be annoyed at how aaron seemingly doesn’t understand how much he does but it seems unfair to dismiss how hard andrews actions really were on aaron even if they ended up dramatically helping aaron in the lo by run.
BIG agree. I've seen it a lot where people seem to get like? insulted? that Aaron kind of resents Andrew for how he's treated but look at it from the eyes of. literally anyone who's not Andrew. even Neil seems to sympathize with it (and certainly understands it) he just deals with it bluntly because the way he sees it, we don't have time for any of the twins' negative feelings. and a good amount of fans seem to take that at face value which to me just shows a complete lack of comprehension depth. like they expect Aaron to be all !!yay!! because "his abuser has been killed" as if. that's all.
and THE THING IS TOO is that. i think killing Tilda was forgivable. i think the bathroom trauma was forgivable. because what Aaron wanted more than anything was a relationship with his brother, and he could've come to terms with the sacrifices that had to be made IF he actually got what he wanted in the end. if Andrew had given Aaron time to grieve and collect himself and then they allowed themselves to develop as brothers, i think they would've had a very different relationship by the time tfc kicked off. but Andrew doesn't work like that and instead of recognizing what Aaron was going through he gets resentful and angry and locks up against Aaron.
and STILL Aaron would've taken anything Andrew was willing to offer. but all Andrew seems to have is cold shoulders and snide comments about dead mothers. one of the most heartbreaking lines to me is that "how was i supposed to know you cared you wouldn't even talk to me unless i said something first". like?? HOW is he supposed to think Andrew gives a shit about him when that's what he's working with?? and HOW can you hold that against him? stg it's like he's in the wrong for not being able to read Andrew's mind tf

Obligatory sorry if you're fed up with GO2 asks!
I'm a new fan of the show (like, a few weeks after season 2 came out a friend lent me their Prime acc to binge watch everything) and haven't read the book at all but!
It's like in S1 Crowley and Aziraphale exist in the world and in S2 the world exists for them kind of,, in S1 the point of view shifted almost constantly and at the end the plotlines converged together in a cathartic moment for all of our beloved characters, but in S2 it's just,, present Aziracrow and past Aziracrow,, which is fine, I liked that they showcased the way they were and are with each other but it would've been better if there were less of these moments.
Talking about these, I saw that a lot of people on Tumblr were excited to see Crowley as an angel and it could've been good but. I don't get why Aziraphale HAD to be here, or more like HAD to interact with him and remember/recognize him later, and I'm not really thrilled about the fact that Crowley is implied to be someone important! It just feels like Crowley and Aziraphale aren't equals anymore ; Crowley Always Knows Best he admittedly was someone pretty important in heaven before and he feels more Holier Than Thou than the literal angel he's with?? I get that he Fell so he already knows for sure that Heaven is corrupt but,, I don't know, I feel like Aziraphale lost agency and just Can't Do Anything Right anymore! (And Crowley Can't Do Anything Wrong anymore either??)
I found the flashbacks for ineffable bureaucracy quite adorable but it was all too sudden! It feels the Gabriel mystery just wasn't progressing at all during the season and at the last minute, ta-dahh here's an exposition dumb on what happened, no build-up for the now canon pairing. Not a big fan of amnesia in general but even less when the amnesic character just gets everything back for a dramatic reveal scene, maybe I would have felt like things actually happened in this season if Gabriel was slowly able to access some memories. We could have had the build-up of him and Beelzebub planning on escaping together in the flashbacks! (And I mean, I get that there was the fly and the song but,, It didn't really affect Gabriel/Jim so it doesn't feel,,, enough?)
I was completely indifferent to Maggie and Nina. Also could've worked better as a separate POV from Aziracrow. I just didn't get enough scenes to care for them or feel any chemistry. Nina was already in a relationship, and Maggie was just crushing on her. They didn't really get together at the end but they're involved enough in the idea of them getting together in the future to give Crowley love advice and for Maggie to wait for Nina. I just don't really get it? If the goal was Maggie and Nina getting together, then they needed more time and scenes. If the goal was that they would not get together because Aziraphale and Crowley were trying to force them to be, then why saying that they "only needed a little push," that Maggie is "willing to wait for Nina," why both give love advice to a guy they barely know when they barely know each other too?
Anyways, I really liked the show (and am still eager for a potential S3)! But I feel like Neil Gaiman's writing is missing a similar style to Terry's (though obviously I wouldn't know what his writing is like since I. Haven't read the book nor other books from this/both of these actually authors), and important reoccurring characters besides Aziraphale and Crowley.
Yes, I agree with a lot of your points! And it's very interesting for me to hear that we share a lot of the same opinions although coming from different places -- being an older book fan and being a newer show-only fan. "S1 Crowley and Aziraphale exist in the world and in S2 the world exists for them" is exactly right, and similar to what I complained about not liking them "being the main characters". And I completely agree with that even if we see Angel!Crowley, Aziraphale doesn't have to be there, and also not liking that Crowley was somebody important before. And yeah, I've said it before but the Gabriel mystery and even the Nina/Maggie romance have potential, but ends up falling flat. Thank you for the ask! Apology accepted.

𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐋 𝐌𝐘 𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄
xiii. the fun day out (1.2k written)
warnings. mentions of absent parents
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"remember how we used to do this a lot back in the states?" jongseong speaks through a bite of his homemade kimbap. you were mid sip of your bubble tea when he speaks up so he waits for you to finish chewing on the pearls.
jongseong had planned a picnic for your 'fun day out' and it brought you back to the good old days before adulthood hit you like a truck.
"yeah, i miss it. eomma used to take us almost every weekend," you smile, thinking back on the memory of jongseong's mother taking you guys out for picnics when you were younger.
that's how close you and jongseong's family are. his mother would take care of you and your brother when your parents would so very often travel for work.
even on weekends where they were home, you'd much rather be at your best friend's place. his house felt more home than yours ever did.
on days where your brother couldn't play with you, you would take it upon yourself to walk the three houses down to your best friend's house, ring the doorbell that you could barely reach at the age of 9, and wait patiently for anyone to open up the big gates to let you in.
any normal adult would've been concerned at how often you and your brother were left alone at home. just because your brother was already a teenager, doesn't mean he was capable of taking care of the both of you by himself.
maybe that's why mrs. park took it upon herself to constantly check up on you two. maybe it's why she'd gotten so attached, treating you both like her children when your very own parents couldn't. it's why you two were more comfortable calling her 'eomma' rather than your own biological mother.
so maybe that's why when jongseong had come knocking on your door one fine day in 2015, you were apprehensive.
there was never a reason for him to do so. it's not like he ever willingly wanted to go over nor was he ever welcomed. your parents were never fond of him or his family. they didn't like how mrs. park would hover around as if they weren't doing a good enough job in taking care of you and your brother. (they weren't.)
ignoring the pointed look your mother sent the boy, you allowed him to pull you out before closing the door behind you two. "what's wrong, jay? you never come over," you had asked him after seeing the broken expression on the then 13 year old boy's face.
"we're moving back to korea," he breathed out but all you could hear was the sound of your heart smashing into pieces.
"moving back? jay, what are you talking about?" it wasn't a hard statement to comprehend but being in denial of your best friend leaving you made it seem like it was the most complicated thing you've ever heard in your 12 years of living.
maybe it's because of how young you two were but looking back on it, you couldn't help but laugh at how dramatic you were.
"eomma and appa wants to move back. my grandmother is sick and they want to be closer in case anything happens," he explained, trying to keep his emotions in check. you were on the brink of crying already and he couldn't let himself do the same. he had always been the tougher one between you two.
"y/n, please don't cry. i promise i'll keep in touch," he pulled you close as your body wracked with an onslaught of sobs and tears. "i promise we'll still be friends. i'll even download twitter for you like you've always wanted me to. we'll keep in touch there, okay?"
he then pulled away, keeping both hands on your shoulders to observe your tear-stained face. he chuckled at how adorable you looked, all pouty and sniffling. "now come, let's hang out. let's hang out every day until i have to leave," he then slung an arm around your shoulder and walked you both in the direction of his house.
"eomma misses you, by the way. she told me when i called her last night," jongseong says as he steals your bubble tea and takes a sip. he doesn't tell you that the reason he called her was to ask for her kimbap recipe that you loved so much.
"i miss her too! we really have to go back someday and visit her," you told him. he smiles at this. he loves how close you and his mother are. nothing else mattered to him as long as the two most important women in his life got along.
"i still remember how happy she was when i brought you back home after your first day here," he laughs as he settles down with his head on your lap. you lean back against the tree bark, thankful that your best friend had picked the perfect spot to lay your picnic mat.
"she really was! never felt a hug as comforting as the one she gave me that day," you run your hand through jongseong's soft hair. he looked really good blonde. you didn't think he would actually dye it that colour when you made a passing comment about it. but you guessed your opinion meant a lot to him.
"hey! i give comforting hugs too!" he pouted and you couldn't help chuckling at how cute he looked. he only ever showed this side of him when you two were alone. "you do, jjongie. runs in the family, i guess." you ruffle his hair and he playfully pushes your hand away.
"i just can't believe you didn't tell me you moved. like, we talked every week but you didn't even tell me the most important thing," he says as he brings your hand back to his hair, wordlessly asking you to continue playing with it.
this feels strangely intimate and you can't lie and say you weren't affected at all. but it's just your best friend. this was normal between you two. but it never fails to make you nervous every time.
"to be fair, we only ever talk at the end of the week to catch up. moving back was a sudden decision my parents made and i was still gonna tell you at the end of that week. i didn't think i'd see you at the school i was enrolled in," you laugh at the memory.
how crazy is that? you two lost each other just to find each other again. the universe somehow brought you two back together once again.
"i'm glad you did. i would've missed you like crazy. i don't know how i survived three years only talking to you at the end of every week," jongseong jokes, popping a piece of fruit into his mouth.
"yeah, now you can't go three hours without texting me. you do know i don't need an update whenever you need to go pee, right?" you tease.
it's true that he does text you way too much, but not once has it ever bothered you. you love how comfortable he is with you and you love having someone to be comfortable with, too.
he was and has always been your comfort person. and you're glad to know you were his too.
"yeah and i don't need mingyu edits sent to me every three hours but we don't always get what we want so suck it," he sticks a tongue out at you before sitting up. "now let's pack up. i heard there's nice trail to walk on around here somewhere,"

MAG 86 here we goooo
Ok so I actually listened to this like a few days ago but I never got round to looking at the transcript but HERE I AM
God this is the blanket never did anything one
He says tucked in so fucking menacingly like Jesus Christ man
TIM MY LOVE
I can't get that one post out of my head that says how Tim was the furthest from being taken by the Eye cause he keeps tripping up on pronunciations and stuff in statements that other archival staff wouldnt honestly it's such a genius take
Oh shit this is getting really long I'll add in a read more
God I love how he's rebelling in every sense, he's doing the bare minimum, he's literally warning people away from it
It's kind of interesting the way he always thought the statement stuff was stupid but in the whole of season one and a lot of season two he managed to hide his distaste pretty well, like even when he lashed out at Jon about the Prentiss incident, he still didn't say that the statements were stupid, but he's saying it behind his back - maybe some part of him knew that Jon needed the statements to work and some part of him still felt for him enough to not point that out
He's kinda dramatic with it as well but I feel like in more of a self aware way than jon
You can feel his distaste honestly the statement just sounds wrong coming from him, which is interesting cause I didn't think that about when Martin did it
So he's mad at the fact that he put effort into a job that he wasn't even that comfortable with in the first place and now he's trapped in? Not about the monsters??
Jesus Christ Tim being a bit of a dick to melanie
HE BLAMES MARTIN????? Damn bro you weren't there how could you tell he didn't do it properly??
I think he's mad at himself for not being there and deflecting it on to martin
She likes that it's quiet!!! That's cute
Martin's not big on change AH neurodivergent vibes
All the archival staff are literally queer and neurodivergent you can't change my mind
Also the fact that he thinks that's the biggest reason why martin doesn't want Melanie around, not the Horrors and the same reason as Tim
I think Tim is refusing to think that Martin might see the situation in the same way as him because if he does then it means Tim's way of dealing might not be the best way and that's an unacceptable thought to him
Suspicious and resentful - my man is self aware I think he knows the way his path is going (hurtling towards destruction) but is too stuck shaking his fist at god to try and get out or he's sort of known his whole life that this is where he was supposed to end up, a terrible fate created by his own two hands that dug their own way down to rock bottom and he's just so tired of trying to do anything about it that he's just accepted it
SASHA OH GOD
Wow seeing firsthand the effects of the stranger, the way neither Tim nor Melanie can remember the real Sasha, but Tim has to live with the fact that he didn't notice and Melanie has to live with the fact that she did, but can't prove it
WHO AM I EVEN SAD FOR
AUGH I THOUGHT SOMEONE MADE THAT UP I DIDNT KNOW IT WAS CANON OH GOD
He lost his FRIEND and he DIDN'T REALISE and he STILL DOESN'T KNOW THE WHOLE TRUTH AUGH
Oh I wonder why he left the tape running? I'd think he would've forgotten to turn it off but if so I feel like he'd have that shocked moment of remembering which he didn't
Maybe he wanted proof of the conversation? Maybe it was a warning to anyone listening to the tapes? See firsthand how terrible it is at the Magnus Institute so you don't work here? I dunno
Ha I had to ask my lovely mutual @melandrops to explain what a marker was
Oh god honestly this statement fucked me up I completely understand why people hate it I hate it
I was so scared of the dark as a kid and the idea of being reduced to that state of lack of awareness and vulnerability is actually terrifying
Also the dude dying in the blanket???? Ew ew ew
Love the fact that tma doesn't just go with a oh shit I forgot a torch so it was pitch black kinda horror but the I brought a torch, I even brought spare batteries but it still did nothing which in my opinion is even scarier
Oh god her whispering the blanket never did anything that was horrifying
Melanie was actually so good at giving the statement girl really got into it
I was also talking to @melandrops about archivist!Melanie cause I think that would be really interesting... she'd definitely bring a more proactive vibe to the role...
It's interesting to think that Melanie and Jon hated each other at first sort of because they're so alike? It's like the we are made of the same stuff (derogatory)
Love how she just checks out the dead guy
The way she's denying it even though she's literally had paranormal experiences before that's so Jon core she would be a great archivist
JON????
Oh shit I just realised he's labelled as Archivist...when did that happen??
That's so funny he's like bitch maybe I do have reason to kill you
Hmm nice touch of Melanie being like do you guys not want me cause I'm a girl?? Is this misogyny??? Good guess but unfortunately it's worse
It's quite nice that Jon's trying to save her even though the meetings about helping him and her quitting would mean he'd lose the one informant he might have in the institute
Shot in the leg by a ghost in India????
Ha Tim hates you and Martin's probably being watched
Love how Tim's hatred for Jon is so visceral and known that they don't even bother watching him
I bet Elias would delight in knowing about Martin's little crush on Jon and how Jon actually hated him in season one and then how their relationship progresses he'd thrive on the drama and the angst the little bastard
Ok ok it's good that he's on the right track, he guesses it was elias
Wait the whole murder was on tape... WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT TAPE??? DID ELIAS TAKE IT??? COULD IT BE USED AS EVIDENCE???
YES MELANIE IS BEING CAUGHT UP (info style) BUT ALSO NO MELANIE IS BEING CAUGHT UP (web style)

I don't know if I ever talked about this on here before but it's been on my mind from time to time and that is the idea that Wataru one time catches a really bad cold so he just avoids Eichi for the time being (Because Hey. Maybe. If you're sick with a bacterial disease that spreads really easily. Maybe try not to pass it on to the guy with the autoimmune disorder. Just a thought.) But he doesn't tell anyone about it because he's The Hibiki Wataru he doesn't get sick.
So the only ones who know about this are his roommates because it's kind of hard to hide this from people you share a room with especially if you stay cooped up in your room a lot to try not to infect others with your cold and also a runny red nose and a sore throat aren't really a good look on someone that's not the biggest fan of open vulnerability. (If you ask yourself why he would stay in his dorm I have no idea either my guess is the guy just doesn't have anywhere else to go on short notice it's not like he has a flat outside of ES or something so as long as I don't have that figured out he'll have to stay in the dorms)
And yeah no back to point do the gist of the thing is Eichi notices that Wataru tries to stay away from him and he does not know why and it makes him sad and kind of angry and because he's Eichi of course he wonders if it was something he did or if it was just Wataru finally realising that Eichi just isn't what he deserves or whatever else self depreciating things could cross your mind in a situation like this.
So basically then he goes to the first person he would think of to know if he did anything wrong in regards to Wataru: Rei. Rei is mildly confused but reassures him Wataru didn't say anything in that regard.
And this entire scenario just boils down to Eichi wondering why Wataru is avoiding him and thinking it's his fault so he goes around asking everyone he could expect a proper answer from without thinking to ask Wataru himself because a) he's avoiding him. Why would he risk making things worse? And b) it's stupider and funnier this way and this entire scenario is just me laughing at their communication or lack thereof completely ignoring the underlying issues that would've caused it. And I know this is dumb and stupid because everyone else in ensquare would need to be an idiot for this to work so I'm ignoring that bit as well and just regarding it as something that would be funny in theory but would never happen. Or actually youcan set this entire scenario at Yumenosaki and then it could make perfect sense this seems exactly like the kind of stuff to happen to dramatic highschoolers

Man, thinking about Dragonball's capsule tech, makes me wish Toriyama hadn't gone all powerscale-y on everything like he did. Like, even more than I already did.
I can imagine a version of the series where Bulma stays relevant, carrying around entire labs and workshops in her pocket, building weapons and augmentations for the group. Portable gravity rooms and exo-suits. Scouters for characters who can't sense ki. A version of the story where, like One Piece, Toriyama planned out the ending from the very start, and built consistently towards that with Buu, foreshadowing the whole time.
Like, I love Dragonball don't get me wrong, but it introduces some cool ideas and characters and then lets them stagnate. The original fighters from OG Dragonball should've been keeping up with the Saiyans to varying degrees. Bulma is Goku's first friend and now she's relegated to background support for the Saiyans, specifically Goku and Vegeta, most of the time. Gohan's missed potential as end of series protagonist stepping into Goku's shoes is well worn territory for a reason. Not that it's not good for Gohan as an individual that he got to retire from fighting and become a scholar, just that it's bad for the structure of the story as a whole that it gets set up that way, and then despite all the talk of passing the torch to future generations with Gohan, Goten, and Trunks, Goku and Vegeta swoop in at the last minute to steal the show, relatively speaking anyway, it's a long series, "last minute" is literal 10s of episodes.
Bulma and the earthlings, besides Mr. Satan, basically have no effect on the plot whatsoever after a certain point, but they should be getting transformations and new techniques too, always striving to keep up with Goku...until he's gone and then it becomes a way for them to carry on part of his legacy. Tien vs. Semi-Perfect Cell at least should serve as a wake up call and push the gang to catch up with all the Saiyans.
It even seems like he was setting something like that up in the Namek Saga by sending them all to King Kai's, where they too should be learning his techniques and catching up to Goku. Watching things unfold on Namek, maybe they adopt King Kai's techniques, and develop their own complimentary moves. Tien could improve the split-form technique and make it not divide his strength by modifying the Kaio-ken, as a literal off the top of my head idea.
Having them more or less be on Goku's level and STILL getting their shit kicked in by the androids, and having them play a greater role in the ensuing conflict would've made things that much more tense and dramatic. You could still have Tien's badass moment against Cell, a way to really hammer home how much danger they're all in if it's taking someone on par with Goku this much effort just to hold him in place and he's only in his SECOND form. It makes the Vegeta and Trunks leaving the hyperbolic time chamber all that much more a big deal because we're seeing just how much stronger than Super Saiyan the ascended form really is, by having the comparison to the fighters more or less on Goku's level.
Just...I dunno. I've looked for fanfics and fan comics that work to make Dragonball a little more cohesive and consistent, but I haven't really found anything.
Anyway, I digressed a lot here, my initial intent was to just talk about how fucking cool Capsule tech is, both conceptually, and in the ways that it could serve the worldbuilding and aesthetics if we were informed by the narrative of Bulma's loadout and limitations, make it more relevant to planning and fight strategy. Watching a reaction to Super, she pulls out a warehouse with a lab in it in Trunks' future and it got me thinking of how cool it'd be if she'd been able to do that sort of on the fly preparation on Namek y'know? Have someone who relies on tech rather than Ki to fight and get around factor into dealing with Frieza and his forces, outfitting Gohan and Krillin, and eventually Vegeta with armor and tools to help them overcome the power difference between them and Frieza's army, as an idea.

Hi! I was the one complaining about Bird Harrow. It's been bugging me enough I rewatched the first couple of episodes. From a writing perspective, they introduce the Soulfang Serpent! It's only purpose is to do a body-swap! This scene serves other purposes, so it could just be a prop, but the snake comes back later. It serves to show Viren is kinda cutthroat about his goals (theoretically condemning another person do die in place in Harrow) and Harrow is a Paladin (Boy Scout) about stuff.
It's pretty good characterization! It shows Viren really likes his plans, especially because they're His Plans (which kind of makes it weird later when he's just super down for Avaros' plans. I know it's spelled wrong but I'm not looking it up. Moving on). He's an egomaniac, and Harrow carries guilt over the events that happened, and sees his impending doom as an atonement, though is still planning to put up a fight because it's his duty. Great, good. Next Episode!
Tumblr media
Viren's still got the snake! Argument ensues! it's the one they had last episode, to remind everyone of their dynamic.
Tumblr media
Bird alights on shoulder! This was a deliberate choice! for a reason! You don't just set this up because it's Dramatic!
Tumblr media
Viren appears, sans snake. So at this point, we have two options. Either the animators made a... not necessarily a continuity blunder, but a real interesting choice, OR it's missing for a reason. (I'm being heavy-handed with this but I'm annoyed at the wiki) Yadda yadda, the "Invincible" Moonshadow elves apparently narrowly succeed in their assassination attempt. Suggesting that if Harrow had actually been allowed to fight they probably would've been fine, actually.
Tumblr media
But he doesn't Fight. He doesn't emerge from his quarters at all! Really weird for a dude unwilling to sacrifice people merely to save his own life! Gosh, something must have happened in there! But What could it be????
anyway, next episode.
Tumblr media
awesome armor aunt is introduced.
AND THEN THIS SHOT.
Tumblr media
Viren doesn't care about this bird. There's no reason to cage the bird. The bird does not appear to have a cage, prior to this. It's an incredibly distinctive element they spent a lot of work on that, as far as I can tell, does not appear again. And most importantly. They never show Harrow's Body. Which is kind of an odd choice, if he wasn't a bird. Since if he wasn't a bird, it would be a dramatic shot! Nevermind the Dramatic Fight he could have had with the assassin! If he was a bird, well, you'd probably not want to show the king fighting like a bird in a man's body just for the dignity of it, and also showing his corpse would muddle the VERY OBVIOUS IMAGERY YOU'VE SET UP TO THIS POINT THAT THE MAN IS GONNA GET BIRD'D! Deep Breath. At SDCC 2019 creator Justin Richmond said that Harrow was killed by the elven assassins. This enters the realm of speculation, but unless he's just outright lying (which is... boring) it would indicate to me that this idea was cut at some point after most of these shots were finished, and it would be too expensive to remake them. So... most of the connective tissue was left, kicked under the rug as best as they could, afforded little other choice. Because the alternative is that they're incredibly, fundamentally unskilled at visual storytelling, which frankly, seems wild. The show is very, deeply flawed, but they do consistently demonstrate proficiency in the shots chosen for other threads in this opening plot. So many choices are done carefully and deliberately, that to fumble this one Major thing? Seems nutty. And it's really disappointing because Ezran coming home and chatting with Dad Bird and unravelling Viren's plot is Way more compelling than anything else they actually did do in the show. Come to think of it, maybe it's when they decided to have Aravos as the/a big bad. idk. Viren's dealing with Asarov to seem mildly-to-fairly inconsistent with his characterization in these early scenes. and not in a way that demonstrates any kind of meaningful arc.
Rant over. Thanks for listening. I doubt we'll ever get a good answer to this.
This was a highly entertaining read, np! I felt the same way when I rewatched the beginning of the show dsnjkavkas. Those first few episodes are directed much better than the rest of the show, and you're right, it's so weird if they are really meaningless. There is also a shot at the end of the season showing the bird escaping the cage, and then we NEVER SEE IT AGAIN. It shows up again only in Viren's imagination in s5. SO WHAT WAS ALL THIS FOR HUH. But honestly the show LOVES to introduce concepts and then drop them, so I wouldn't even be surprised if they just did it for the vibes and making it seem like a Cool Mature Fantasy Thing where the villain keeps the dead hero's animal companion in a cage instead of any proper writing reason.

how to pierce your ears at home 101
[ shikanoin heizou x s/o ]
summary: you should've known better to give this man a set of earrings as a birthday gift without a piercing appointment itself.
notes: i got my ears pierced like this when i was younger and my aunt did it for me but fuck did i got scared when my friend had me pierce their own ears by myself :'> also happy birthday you lil guy, hope you guys get the butter joke lmao im so funny aha | m.list
words: 1292 | warnings: "boo" is used for s/o, descriptive steps of how to pierce your ears at home but not including the needle through the earlobe part, a lil speck of blood but it's safe i swear, a lil suggestive at the end depending on how you take it???
Tumblr media
"this is stupid."
"yet here we are," heizou pointed out, looking at you with a smug smile through the mirror.
how in the world did you find yourself in this situation? here you are, the two of you are crammed into heizou's dorm bathroom.
well, a certain little minx had, for some reason, convinced you to accompany him when he's going to get his ears pierced. and by accompany, he meant for you to pierce his ears.
by yourself.
he had dragged his swivel chair into the relatively small space, scooting as close as possible to the sink with a lighter, two packs of ice on the counter and a very intimidating long needle right next to it. on the other side is a bottle of disinfectant, cotton balls, a clean cork and pair of earrings that you had given him for his birthday.
honestly, if you had known that gifting him his first set of earrings would result in him asking you to pierce his ears yourself and not in a parlor, then you would've included a scheduled appointment with the earrings itself. expensive, but it's worth avoiding this scenario.
you haven't even done anything to start and yet your fingers are already shaking.
"this is unhygienic and highly dangerous."
"oh come on," he leans his head back to look at you, lips pulled into a pout. "what could go wrong? you're just going to pierce my ears, that's all~."
"oh, a lot can go wrong," exasperated, you flicked the tip of his ear—you rolled your eyes when he whined. so dramatic, your finger barely touched his ear.
"first of all, i am not trained to pierce shit."
"—did you just call my ear 'shit'?"
"second, like i said, i am not a professional and could be doing this all wrong. heck, i might scare myself and mess shit up."
"—you mean, mess my ears up."
"third and lastly, you can get an infection if i mess shit up and things can go way worse after that," you put an emphasis on the word 'shit' out of pettiness.
"hey, hey, hey," a hand comes up to your cheek, lightly pinching the apple of your cheek before caressing it with his thumb. "it'll be fine, if it goes wrong then the hospital is one ride away—"
"that doesn't make me feel better."
"ehehe," he sheepishly grins, looking more boyish below you from your peripheral vision. "i trust you, boo."
"i still don't feel better."
"don't worry, i'll talk you through it, mkay? i watched kazuha do the same thing to his own ears, so we're not completely clueless y'know."
you scoffed, tugging his earlobe lightly, "then maybe you should've asked him to pierce your ears if he knows how to."
"aww come on," pouting, he takes your hand and places it on his puffed cheek. "i wanted my honey butter sugar boo to do it for me~."
"never call me that name again. ever."
"i won't if you pierce my ears, deal?"
"you're insufferable and a menace."
"i'm going to take that as a yes, and yes, i am your insufferable menace."
the victorious grin on his stupidly attractive face is practically telling you that you're not escaping this predicament or winning any defensive argument. one way or another, he's going to get his way, so there's really no point in trying to avoid the inevitable.
"i'm sorry but also not sorry if i mess this up."
"don't worry, boo, i'll still love you."
shaking off the warm feeling on your cheeks, you grab ice packs from the counter and press both of it around his earlobe, his hands coming up to keep them there while you sort through everything. heizou had disinfected everything he laid out on the counter, even going as far as to sanitizing the whole sink counter itself when you voiced your concerns earlier.
"so, uh, i just… light the needle up?"
"uh huh, kazuha said it'll be easier to get the needle through if you hold it above the flame for a bit."
you can feel your spine tingle with cold sweat at the mental image. you're not exactly sure if you should be glad that heizou isn't completely doing this on his own, but at the same time, you think you'll be a little traumatized after this.
grabbing the lighter with shaking hands, you held the tip of the needle just above the flame, looking back to see heizou rubbing alcohol around his earlobe.
"alright, i'm ready as i'll ever be!"
"i'm not," you grumbled, ignoring the way he chuckled.
the sooner you get this done, the sooner you can get out and never do this again.
so with a deep breath, you shut the lighter and placed the cork right behind his earlobe, inching the needle closer.
if you're lucky enough, maybe you won't pass out in the process.
Tumblr media
fortunately, you did not pass out.
although you did feel a little light headed after piercing the second ear and when you saw a little bit of blood, heizou had been calm enough to reassure you through it.
he's damn glad you were too busy staring at his ears to notice his tightly shut eyes and the small tremble of his lips when he felt the needle.
but alas! after disinfecting his earlobe for the nth time—he swore you're more scared than he was for any potential infection, which is also understandable—you finally finished the whole process and the set of earrings are now in place.
"never ask me to do this again, ever."
"hmm, i don't know about that," he grins, laughing when you swat his hand away before he could even touch his ears.
"don't, you'll hurt yourself. worse, you'll get it infected yourself," you chided.
"okay okay, geez," he snickered.
rolling your eyes, you turn to the counter and start cleaning the sink, throwing away the cotton balls you've used and setting everything aside. you only heard him rolling his chair away a little before feeling his hands tug at your waist backwards.
"i—hey!"
he, not so gently, pulled you on his lap, hugging your waist and hooking his chin on your shoulder.
"thank you for doing this for me baby," his voice is right next to your ear, whispering in a quiet and sultry voice, his arms tightening around your waist. you felt his cold lips touch your neck, little kisses traveling to your jaw and up to your undeniably warm cheeks. you can feel his smile against your skin when he feels the warmth through his lips.
"you little shit."
you felt the low chuckle he made against your back, sending your soul up above the highest point of celestia with how your skin tingled with goosebumps. slightly, you shuffled on his lap to cover up your embarrassment.
"couldn't have done this without you boo~."
"i'm pretty sure you can."
"but you won't let me, would you?" you can hear the pout on his face but you know him better, he's having fun teasing you like this. "if you weren't here to help, i might have done the whole process incorrectly."
"can we please at least get out of your small bathroom? it's a little stuffy here."
you swiftly inserted, blaming the cramped room for the sudden rise in temperature.
"anything for my boo~," chiming whispers in your ear, he places one last kiss right behind your ears, humming softly but refusing to let go of your waist. "hmm, on second thought, we can stay here for a little longer. want to keep you close for a few more minutes." (read: hours)
you're pretty sure you won't be alive to see the light outside his bathroom after he has his fun.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians two-episode premiere thoughts:
Oh boy, I never thought I'd be talking about this. Mostly because Percy Jackson, like Harry Potter, has always been so sacred to me. I'm very much that Emma quote, if you will; If I loved you less, I might be able to talk about it more. Percy Jackson is the first series I ever read and completed, as it was the first I ever had any access to where I was.
Needless to say then, I couldn't fully process the fact that we were getting the show until about a week before its release. It just seemed so implausible. The only Percy I've ever known is the movie version (and I do love the movies, as they introduced me to Percy Jackson in the first place and I think they're a lot of fun) and the book version. Even now, I don't think I've completely processed that we have something new, but I do think I'm ready to talk about it. So without further ado, here are my thoughts on the two-episode premiere:
(Note: I don't see how one could possibly spoil this series as it's been out for forever and I honestly think you've had your chance to read it and find out what happens, but I will keep my thoughts on the show's details hidden below as it did have a few changes that I understand you wouldn't want spoiled.)
I cannot possibly fathom anyone more perfect for Percy Jackson than Walker Scobell. The first thing I noticed about this version is that it's a little more... serious, I guess, than the book? The book has a lighter atmosphere, while this one kind of has more of the Lord of the Rings' dramatic and emotional score. Not a bad thing at all! Just something I noticed. However, I will say that Walker gives the show that breath of fresh air and lightheartedness that Percy Jackson is. Does that make sense? Most of the comedy came from him, most of the heart came from him, and already, I can see him (if we hopefully get a fifth season for the fifth book) being a leader that others look to for comfort and reassurance. I have a mountain of one-liners from him in mind that were just so Percy Jackson, I'm just so thankful that we got who I firmly believe is Percy Jackson, through and through.
I also really, really love the updates to Sally Jackson in this version. I mean, I always loved Sally, don't get me wrong, but if we were told that this Sally could make it without her son to protect her, I believe it. In the book, Sally says that she needs to learn to take care of herself, but in this one, I can see her doing that already. She's a bit tougher, speaks a little louder, but I love it. It shows where Percy would've gotten his courage from, and I don't see this Sally ever meekly asking Gabe for anything. Speaking of which...
The changes to Gabe are pretty funny and honestly? Kind of welcome. The Gabe from the movie and the Gabe in the book are implied to have hit Sally before, and are pretty abusive. Again, nothing wrong with that because he gets his comeuppance, but it feels refreshing to have this kind of change where he's just loud and unlikeable, but he's not terribly vile or anything. It makes a difference, and I like it better. I can't see Sally turning him to stone with Medusa's head though, he's not quite so bad as to deserve that (unless we find out later that he has been hitting Sally, which I doubt it, he doesn't seem the type here and she doesn't seem the type to take it), so I do wonder what changes will come of it.
An Olivia Rodrigo song? Really? Don't get me wrong, I love Olivia's songs, and the book features Hilary Duff's So Yesterday, so it's not exactly new to include pop songs, but they said they were going to give the show a timeless feel. Olivia Rodrigo feels pretty... dated. And out of left field, to be honest, since I think it was the first song they gave us with lyrics. And not so very befitting, to be honest. When I think Percy Jackson, I think... I don't know, Imagine Dragons? Arrows to Athens? Even 30 Seconds to Mars? Or maybe that's because those were the songs that were out and popular at the time of the books' release, so those are the tribute videos I saw all the time and the songs I associate with the books. I don't know.
One nitpick, just one: did anyone notice when Percy came at Nancy and she ended up in the fountain? Did anyone else also think that Percy can move and control water, not people, and yet Nancy went flying into the fountain like Percy had moved her instead? I'm just going to imagine that the water grabbed her ankles and pulled her in, even though we didn't get to see it. (Yes, I'm going to be that person for a split second 😂)
I don't know how this'll go over with other people, but... I think, so far, I like Show Annabeth more than Book Annabeth. BEFORE YOU START TO RANT AT ME, HEAR ME OUT. I hated Book Annabeth when I first read the books. I thought she was rude and mean, I didn't like how she constantly hit Percy and called him stupid, but it was supposed to be cute somehow? And I couldn't stand her loyalty to Luke. I ultimately understand why, but the way she kept getting mad at Percy, who hadn't known him as long, for stating the horrible things he'd done and what he was planning? GIRL. He's just stating the FACTS here! I thought she was selfish and horrible, to be honest. I've read those books a hundred times, and not until my most recent reread, a year or so ago, did I start to tolerate her better. This Annabeth? It's too early to form an opinion, and we didn't get much of her, but from what we did get? I don't know, she just seems... kinder? All Book Annabeth cared about was getting her way, but Show Annabeth seems to actually feel sorry for what she has to put Percy through. On that note...
This is going to sound weird, but so far, SO FAR, I can actually see Percy and Annabeth as a couple in the future. Why? Because Show Annabeth is quieter. She's more calculating, she's more observant. Book Annabeth was the same way, but I guess because the book isn't from her perspective, she's constantly talking about her observations and what she notices and thinks, and she just comes off as loud as Percy. Which made it all the more annoying when she mocked him for every word he said. (Side rant: ESPECIALLY BECAUSE HE NEVER REALLY SAID ANYTHING THAT STUPID, BUT SHE ALWAYS TALKED TO HIM LIKE EVERY LETTER TO COME OUT OF HIS MOUTH WAS THE DUMBEST THING SHE'D EVER HEARD! HERMIONE SNAPPED AT PEOPLE FOR STUPID THINGS TOO, BUT SHE STILL GAVE HER FRIENDS THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT AND ENCOURAGED THEM TO STUDY BECAUSE SHE BELIEVED THEY COULD DO BETTER THAN THEY WERE DOING, NOT LIKE SHE THOUGHT THEY WERE HOPELESS AND HAD TO PUT UP WITH THEM, UNLIKE SOME PEOPLE!) My point is that this Annabeth is a little bit opposite to Percy. She's quiet and observant, constantly strategizing, while Percy is louder and jumps right into things. I love that juxtaposition, and... honestly? Full disclosure... I don't like Book Percy and Annabeth as a couple. I don't think she deserves him, I don't really see what he sees in her, I hate the way she's constantly hitting him and mocking him and getting angry at him because she's not brave enough to just tell him how she feels. Meanwhile here? I actually think they'd be pretty cute together. I get why he would be flustered around her, I get what he'd see in her.
I love that detail of Grover getting Percy kicked out for his own protection. I understood why in the book Percy had been unwilling to see Grover after he'd left (he was fairly freaking him out), but betraying him? It just made so much more sense why Percy wouldn't want to be near him afterwards, and I really love that detail. Speaking of which, I really love Grover. In the book, it did sometimes (just for a bit) feel like Grover looked at Percy as a job. He had to keep him safe, he had to accompany him on his quest, he had to make a good impression on the Cloven Elders. Here? Yes, he has a job, but he also genuinely loves his friend. He also genuinely cares, and wants to help Percy just because it's Percy. I also LOVE that detail about the Mytho Magic cards being training. Brilliant little easter egg there. I just... I genuinely feel like we lucked out SO much with this cast, and this trio especially. They were the ones to worry about, and I don't think we could've gotten better.
Again, the tiniest nitpick, I do wish we'd gotten that, "Kneel to Percy Jackson, Son of the Sea God!" thing. It would've looked so cool, but I feel like it was... just the teeniest bit rushed. It's okay, it still looked cool, and I still love that we get some differences between the book and show, but I also just think it would've looked super epic.
I cried, I laughed, I didn't know what to expect, to be honest. Like I said, Percy Jackson means more to me than I can possibly put into words. But I felt everything with this that I felt in the book, and we haven't even started the quest! Everything from Percy's conversation with his mom at camp through the fire, to when he says, "I'm Sally Jackson's son!" to his training, to the fight in Capture the Flag. Everything was brilliant, I have no words. With those three in the lead, I truly think we're in safe hands.

18 + an oc of your choice >:^)
seeing this prompt hit me so hard with inspiration i just had to sit down and write it all right away. fair warning i finished it at 2am.
had this scene idea sitting in my head for a week but couldn't get it out in any way so hehehe thank u <3
this is happening on Earth btw! a few months before Hope's departure 🤧
truth Background: A colleague had given Tobias meeting minutes from one of the meetings between her team lead and the boss of the project, showing that they have begun testing the product they're developing on humans, despite how many times Tobias has told them not to do that. He decided to have a talk with the boss (bad decision really tbh). Warnings: mentions of testing unfinished chemical product on humans, death mention
Tumblr media
"Can we talk?"
"Tobias, what a surprise. Do come in," Sam sipped his coffee. "I just finished reading your latest report. Has anyone ever told you how pretty your handwriting is?"
"Uh, thank you, I guess," Tobias closed the door. "I hope you have actually read the reports, though, and didn't only stare at my handwriting."
"I have." He picked up the folder in front of him. "Your team's progress hasn't been as good as I hoped.
Tobias sighed. "I told you from the start that this is a hard thing to make, Sam. No one has ever done this before, and we're working with practically no background information." How many times have they had this conversation? He was starting to feel like a broken vinyl. "To make sure we're on the right track, we need the computer to test it out. And it takes time."
"Computers are slow, aren't they?" Sam was flipping through the folder, picking out some pages and placing them into a small, uneven pile. Finally he stopped and showed the page. "It says here it takes it at least a day to compute results. I'm surprised your smart little head hasn't thought of alternatives."
Of course he would say that. "I guess this means we both know why I'm here. Cancel the tests."
"My friend, we both also know who is the boss here, and who is a mere lead scientist who's sticking his nose into wrong places." He rose up from his chair and pointed at the whiteboard. "This is how late we will be if we only use your, how did you say in your little paper here, 'humane' testing methods. Two years, that's a lot!" He shook his head dramatically and pointed at the second graph. "Now this! We won't be late at all in this scenario. And all thanks to the tests I and Rosalind have decided to do."
"Does your scenario also include the casualty estimates resulting from your tests? I told you several times that there is no way what we're doing is ready for human testing, or anything else really. You're putting so many people in danger, all for what, staying on schedule?"
"Scientific breakthroughs often require victims."
"Breakthro-" Tobias stopped to take a deep breath, but clearly it did not help him calm down. "What the fuck is wrong with you? Are you even hearing yourself? No one will want to use your fucking product if they know how many people you killed with your damn ambitions!"
"Bold of you to assume anyone other than us workers here will know anything. I have a team to make sure of that." Sam walked closer to Tobias and continued, "And they work really well, Toby. You should calm down and think about this."
"Really well, huh? Scare me all you want, Samuel, and use your little team to hide your tracks. The truth will still come out in one way or another."
"Truth. You're so obsessed with your truth and justice." Sam sighed and grabbed him by his shoulders. "I say this genuinely. I adore your determination. Wish you would've used it for something more practical, though. Like helping us."
"Practical? There's nothing practical in putting people in unnecessary danger!"
"Don't be ridiculous. What's practical is letting us do what we are doing, and doing your own job." Sam leaned down to match his eye level. "But since you can't do that, I'm afraid there's no other option. You're fired."

chapter 7: strawberry milk
Tumblr media
rina stocked the fridge of the convenience store, looking back at the clock every 5 seconds. as if the hands would magically turn fast like they do on tv shows. but no, she had to work diligently as time moved as slow as humanly possible. that was until she heard the bell.
she jumped to her feet, rushing to greet him. well, it was the time he usually came. the slow hour.
"rina!" it was haemin. rina couldn't hide her disappointment as her shoulders immediately dropped. "well damn. i know i'm not jennie or anything, but show some excitement. i came to hang out with you."
"sorry, i just thought you were-"
"strawberry." haemin cut her off. "where has he been anyway. you haven't mentioned him for weeks."
"well, i mean i don't know. i don't even know him like that." rina went back to work. "just not that into him anymore i guess."
"i don't know who you're trying to fool, but it's not me." haemin walked in front of her. "are you seeing him?"
"if i was, i think i would've told you."
ring
"stay here." rina new exactly who had just walked through the door.
"rina, hi."
"shhh."
"what's wrong, why are we whispering." hao mocked her dire state.
"haemin, she's at the counter." rina grabbed his hand and pulled him into the back room.
"is there a customer?" haemin shouted from the counter.
"no, it was just a package!"
"oh, so i'm a package now?" hao laughed.
"shut up." she hit his arm. "you're not wearing a mask this time. are you asking to be found out?"
"well sorry, mom." he held his hands up. "i was just too lazy to put it on. it's not too busy around here anyway."
"now look where you are now."
"lesson learned."
"rina, where are you? can i eat this for free?" her voice growing closer, trying to show what she wanted to eat.
she pushed him down behind a box. "can i get a heads up before i'm dragged around like a rag doll. this seems to be a habit for you."
"was someone talking?" haemin said from the door.
"nah, i was just talking to myself about this uh.." she tried to look for an item "ramyeon. yeah its close to expiring."
"weird, but okay. i'm gonna eat these chips." haemin didn't ask any further questions.
rina looked down at hao, who was now sipping strawberry milk. "hey, you didn't pay for that."
"think of it as compensation for this."
she sat down next to him on the cold hard floor.
"you know its kinda funny that you're drinking strawberry milk."
"why?" hao raided his brow.
"this may sound creepy, but haemin and i call you strawberry. its like a secret code name."
"you guys must talk about me a lot. for me to have a code name and all." hao was amused by this. it made him satisfied that she was being more open.
"honestly, before i knew you were you i did just a little. now that i don't anymore she suspects something crazy."
"and what is that?"
"you're my secret boyfriend that i'm hiding from her." it pained rina to admit this to him. she looked away to avoid his smug smile.
"i mean that's not that far off. she'd make a good detective." he shrugged.
"did i miss a chapter? cause she seems quite off." she had no clue where his sudden directness had come from, but she can't deny that she likes it.
"is this what rejection feels like?" he gasped dramatically holding his chest.
"you see, it seems you skipped a couple crucial steps."
with him, it was so easy. it felt like she had known him forever. old rina would've been shaking with excitement, but this rina? she had gotten used to being this close to him. she became the one in control. well actually she's still working on that, but it's coming along.
"okay. rina i like you." he turned to her and held her hand. "more than just a friend."
"hao, i didn't peg you as the cheesy type." she scrunched up her face. "but i do like you too, more than just a friend."
he stared at her. you know, the stare. he began to lean in. cupping her cheeks, brushing his thumb over her bottom lip.
"rina, where did you go?" they both went wide eyed. she was most definitely looking around the stock room for her. she jumped up blocking hao from her view while he crawled to the other side of the boxes.
"what are you hiding, rina?" haemin could see through the ridiculous cover ups and her jumpy state.
"what are you talking about? i'm literally working."
"if you were working, you'd know that you're overtime. you never go overtime." her accusatory tone making rina more and more nervous.
why am i even hiding this from her again?
"i can't get carried away?"
haemin began looking around the stock room for evidence of what she was accusing her of hiding.
"you're crazy." rina tried to hide her panicked state with a chuckle.
while haemin looked on the other side of the back room, rina took hao behind a shelf.
"will you stop being crazy? i gotta lock up tonight."
"i'm 85% sure that you're hiding strawberry in here." she crossed her arms.
"come on, haemin. let's go. i seriously have to lock up." rina grew tired of her dramatic act quickly.
haemin accepted the defeat and gave up
but there was one minor mishap:
hao's phone rang from behind the shelf.

Statement of Gertrude Robinson, regarding her childhood encounter with an Entity, given October 5th, 2007.

GERTRUDE: This was Elias's suggestion, for reference. I doubt he would be able to do anything about it if I decided not to record this, but perhaps it may help. It's been a while since I... went back.
A sigh. Paper rustles in the background.
GERTRUDE: Ah, but no need to be dramatic. I suppose this would happen eventually, and better to get it over with. Ahem, statement of Gertrude Robinson, regarding her childhood encounter with an Entity, given October 5th, 2007. Statement begins.
She clears her throat.
GERTRUDE: It may be a shock to hear I was a child once. Sometimes that surprises me as well, to think I was once as innocent as a lamb before slaughter, blissfully unaware of what was really happening in the world. Normally I don't see any point in reminiscing about the past, but what I wouldn’t give to have that same curious energy again.
I wasn't a sheltered child- quite the opposite, in fact. My  family was... unreliable, so I spent plenty of time outside my crowded home, running through the bustling streets of my hometown and talking my way into places I wouldn't normally be allowed into.
She chuckles, her voice thoughtful.
GERTRUDE: I used to have a lot of friends, back when I was younger. I made plenty, and earned myself a good reputation. There was a boy named George, I think. Another named Jamey. And a girl who called herself Brook.
Her voice lifts, as if she's unsure.
GERTRUDE: You would've thought we were inseparable, following each other around and constantly getting ourselves in trouble. We ended up in tough situations more than once, but stood up for each other no matter what. And yet... it didn't take much to pull us apart.
A pause, then another sigh.
GERTRUDE: It was George's fault, really. I still haven't quite forgiven him. He was never the brightest type, normally requiring our help more than we needed his. Not that we didn't love having him around- he was the face of our little group. Always cracking jokes and giving us things to do on rainy days. It's... not fair that he was the first. But I should count myself lucky, shouldn’t I?
A sharp intake of breath. She clears her throat again.
GERTRUDE: It started off as the four of us. George, Jamey, Brook, and me. My hometown was quite religious and had an abundance of churches scattered about- and a handful of those had been scheduled for demolition or reconstruction. It was our little thing, to sneak our way inside and chase each other through the dusty yet beautiful halls. I was never a religious girl, yet I still found something enchanting about the concept of God. To think there was a man who could make people feel so loved and lost at the same time… it was incredible to me.
On one of our later expeditions, the church was dark enough that it was hard to navigate without a light, and George suggested we play hide and seek. We said yes, obviously, and I was given the role of  ‘IT’. We thought it was only us playing.
I counted for 60 seconds. Then, I turned, and ran down the hall. I caused quite a racket, throwing each door open, raising my flashlight across the room, then slamming it shut and continuing forward.
I couldn’t find any of them within the first few minutes. That should’ve warned me that something was wrong, because I had become adept at this sort of thing. You see, the more you get to know someone, the more slight details you learn about them. Jamey enjoyed spaces that were clean and dust-free. Brook liked smaller spaces she could squeeze into and cover it up. George… he needed space. A lot of it. Compact areas terrified him, and more then once I’ve seen him panic and get himself stuck. Looking back… it was obvious. So, so obvious.
A long pause. She sniffs, then clears her throat.
GERTRUDE: Around 5 minutes later, I grew frustrated. Young Gertrude was used to being ahead of everyone, and giving up was never a strong suit of mine. It was nearly midnight.  At the 10 minute mark, I was ready to forfeit. Perhaps I should’ve.
I was at the organ on the second floor when I heard the noise. A soft, quiet chanting, almost enthralling with its rhythm. I had brushed it off as a trick of the mind earlier, but up there it was impossible to ignore. But I wasn’t scared, not at all. I was always eager, ready to jump headfirst into danger or adventure. A fatal flaw, nowadays.
So I followed the noise. I followed it to the balcony, where a dim light was filling the room. I hid near the benches, and peeked down. Unfortunately I… I will never forget what I saw.
The pews were filled with people, the source of the noise. They were wearing casual clothes, looking extremely out of place in the church, like they had just been going on a regular day before coming here late at night. They were all facing the front, where a pit was dug where the pedestal would normally be. The hole was pitch black, with the soil crumbling away at the edges and a hissing noise from below it.
A note from the Archivist: This was quite obviously a failed attempt at a ritual of the Buried. Now, I’ve already tried follow-ups and don’t see any point in delving deeper, because I’ve reached my fair share of dead ends. What’s in the past stays in the past. End note.
GERTRUDE: George was standing above it, his head raised and his eyes half-closed. He looked… calm, despite the people watching him with uncanny intensity. He looked around, seemingly unsure of what he should do but content with whatever might happen.
I managed to get his eye contact, trying to gesture for him to leave or fight back. But his eyes seared into my brain, and my chest tightened, unable to pull my gaze away.
I didn’t know what to do, frozen with fear and curiosity at the same time. We stared at each other for what seemed like an eternity, but then he nodded - thoughtfully, almost. The other… observers turned their heads all at once, looking up at me. They didn’t move, didn’t try to stop me. George nodded at me, his mouth pulled into a bittersweet smile. I… I should’ve stopped him. Because then he jumped.
Her voice cracks, which she quickly tries to cover up with a cough.
GERTRUDE: But there was no chance. I stood up in shock, watching his body fall into the pit like prey being thrown to an animal. I didn’t stick around to hear the thump of his body hitting the ground- perhaps there wasn’t even a bottom in it. I tried to flee, and that’s when the church began to crumble around me.
I hid under the organ bench, trying to stop myself from screaming. I watched as the people in the pews welcomed the debris with open arms, even as it crushed them into a bloody mess. Looking back, whatever ‘ascension’ I’m sure they were planning, it was obvious that they would never find it in the state they were left in.
The ceiling had crumbled around, trapping me and pinning me down. I remember the… well, helplessness I felt, unable to even flex my fingers or twitch a limb. Though I wasn’t severely injured, it was nearly impossible to get out of. It was pitch black, and I knew there was a chance I could run out of oxygen if there was that much debris.
A lesson I’ve learned many times is that panic never helps a situation. Either it goes your way, or it doesn’t. And when it’s the latter, you make it work for you no matter what. Everything must be bent in your favor, so you’re the one who comes out alive. I apologize in advance, Elias.
So that’s what I did. It required a quite painful dislocation of my shoulder to roll back under the organ bench, then painstakingly pulling the debris with my broken nails under the bench until I could see a glimmer of light, then bruising as I pushed myself through the small exit.
I spent too long searching for George. Brook and Jamey were nowhere to be found, and their bodies would not be pulled out of the wreckage for some time.
A stifled cough. She takes a deep breath.
GERTRUDE: As for the cultists, I would assume they were attempting a draft of the ‘Sunken Sky’. Obviously it failed. As for why, I’m not quite sure, but I do not wish to visit that town again. I left for a reason, and there is no chance I will be returning.
She sighs loudly.
GERTRUDE: If it wasn’t obvious, afterwards I managed to get away and move to London a few years later. When I learned of a research center that could possibly explain what had happened when I was younger, I went there immediately. I mean no offense, but we were extremely unorganized and weren’t much help. It was very easy to get hired and sort this place out.
Papers shuffle.
GERTRUDE: Elias, I hope you’re happy. Statement ends.

How do you think RKC would interact with a non grima robin
Oh this is an EXTREMELY good question thank you for asking. I've done some thinking on the topic, since I'm trying to stumble my way through writing a fic that, among other things, answers this question.
I think RKC would have a lot of very complicated and contradictory feelings about seeing Robin again, and I think his reaction would vary depending on what timeline he's coming from.
My allergy to brevity struck again and this ended up getting long, so, have a read more.
---
We know from his dialogue that RKC misses Robin terribly, enough so that I'm certain he's fully separated Robin and Grima into different people in his mind. He wants really badly to hold onto how much he loved Robin. But at the same time, this is the face and voice responsible for destroying everything and making him a monster. I can't help but think he would, at some point over the years of being the Risen King, start to believe he was wrong to trust Robin in the first place.
The other thing to consider too is that RKC can theoretically come to be in either the original timeline or a future past esque one, and that the timeline you pick for him changes things pretty dramatically. But because I've done the most thinking on OG timeline RKC, that's who I'm going with here. In the OG timeline things progressed a lot slower—easily 10 to 15 years slower than in the main timeline, due to the fact that Chrom had to have time to raise Lucina a bit and teach her something about wielding a sword—so RKC would have died older, Robin would've Grima'd older, and they'd have known each other a lot better and probably been a lot closer.
---
An OG timeline RKC encounters a much younger Robin, and it's like seeing a ghost. He doesn't see Grima as much as he sees the memories he has of laughing with and fighting alongside them, so long ago it feels like lifetimes. But he knows what they're fated to turn into—an event which he very much blames himself for. All that love and longing is so tangled up in the pain of betrayal and years of trauma that he wants, very badly, to hate them.
I think, because Chrom tends to turn painful feelings into anger and because of the years of conditioning that violence is his only choice, that this Chrom's first impulse is violence. Slay the dragon and save his world and his younger self the pain of failure. Or maybe just get revenge on the only Grima he can hurt. But his second impulse is longing so potent to hear Robin's voice again that it makes his stilled heart ache far worse than he can bear, so absent any possibility of Grima forcing his hand, he fails in the attempt. Or maybe even before he can make the attempt. He breaks, he drops the sword. He yells at Robin to go.
And given how Robin would feel about all this—with all the horror and self-loathing the very sight of RKC would cause them, especially if this is a Robin who's already aware of their heritage—I think it would be very messy at first. The very existence of each is deeply painful to the other. And there's honestly a decent chance they just don't want to be around each other because it hurts too much.
But the Chrobin lover in me is betting on the other possibility. I think Robin's desperate need to find some way to avert this, and Chrom's terrible want to just be around them again no matter how guilty he'd feel about it, would draw them together in the end. A lot of disagreements on whose fault this all is or whether anything can be done to change things in Robin's world, a lot of clumsy accidentally hurting each other in various ways. But ultimately, they're both trying to heal each other's futures. It's awkward, it's complicated, it's messy, but its kindness.
Please imagine Robin holding Chrom's cold, clawed hands—hands which he's so convinced can only ever be weapons—and quietly begging to know where they went wrong, so they can avoid that mistake when the time comes. Imagine it and feel Emotions with me, anon.
