One of the Many Differences Between Kaoru vs. Hikaru (Video Games)

Kaoru: Master of stealth kills. If he can operate only on stealth kills through a game mission, then he will do so. Will straight up reload a checkpoint to try and kill as many in-game enemies as he can without being detected. Huge completionist, great at achieving rare achievements and finding rare loot. Lives for complex stories, and while he would never say as much to Hikaru, he prefers vast single player games the best. Gets more into ‘indie’ games as he gets older and has time for them, but he always has a soft spot for horror and action games and genuinely finds them cathartic.

Hikaru: Once, he unloaded ten grenades in a row and shot at all of them to kill his surrounding enemies, himself, and the entire engine of the game he was playing.

#lmao I've been playing Rise of the Tomb Raider and Outlast lately #my sister's bf is a Kaoru and stealth kills everything #meanwhile I have overloaded my playstation 4 over four times bc I have unleashed so much chaos and fire even for standard gameplay #that I have been forcibly ejected from my games #which felt like a Hikaru experience to me #on a more...thoughtful note though and in line with quick thoughts for Kaoru #I do think Hikaru is a huge nerd for open world games #and would really like Red Dead Redemption #and a sci fi/horror preference and thus would really like BioWare games a lot #I feel like bc of how he and Kaoru were as kids to early teens and hwo they isolated themselves in their own codependency #one of the ways Hikaru and Kaoru grow for themselves #is by playing video games on their own and spec multiserver and team games #like World of WarCraft/Monster Hunter and etc. #I feel like as kids while they may have been interested in games like that they kind of turned their noses at them bc they didn't the point #with playing with other people period and esp on depending on other players to finish missions together and operating in guilds #they had each other and that was enough #so coming back to games like that #esp for HIkaru when they learn to amke friends outside of the host club in college #could be a way to open his door more #not that it would be entirely fun though bc yikes can open servers be toxic as hell at times #but it would be a good way for Hikaru to learn to manage his anger and control his outburts with strangers better too via game chats and #online forums #with a Kaoru watching over hsi shoulder so Hikaru doesn't rage out at someone lmao #(unless they deserve it) #plus I like the idea of Hikaru consciously or not #being one of those gamers who ends up helping beginners and kids get used to different games #maybe not as patiently as he should but still willing to run quests with them or gift them items he has too many of #I have a lot of thoughts and feelings about big brother!Hikaru and about him working out hsi emotions more in life okay #ohshc #hikaru hitachiin
