imagine if jesus was like actually you’re right i SHOULD be washing my hands before eating i just. forgot. and then when christianity spread through europe and beyond they kept the idea of religious hand washing. maybe expanded it even. imagine how many fewer people would’ve died maybe just from having slightly better hygiene.
Tumblr is like "isn't it weird that Christians never think about this fairly obvious implication of their own theology?", then proceeds to independently re-invent an eight-hundred-year-old heresy that caused three separate wars.
Warhammer fandom elsewhere on the internet: *nerd bros with memes from 2011 and vaguely weird vibes talking about which primarchs could beat up which*
Warhammer fans on Tumblr: Omg. my guy. My dude. My little humfus blumfus. My skroinky paloinky. My blorbo. Littlest of meow meows. *points towards Deathkiller Skullscream the Vile, Lord of the infamous warband the Boneflayers from Planet Murder, whose least significant warcrimes involve torturing civilians to distill hard drugs out of their neural tissue (its more potent if they die screaming) and owning an entire planet as his own personal torture chamber which he goes to to unwind after a hard day of orphan murdering and slave trading*
If we start from the assumption that neurotypicals are “normal,” and autistics are “disordered,” then poor connections between neurotypicals and autistics inevitably get blamed on some “defect” or “deficit” in autistics. If an autistic person can’t understand a neurotypical, it’s because autistics have empathy deficits and impaired communication skills; if a neurotypical can’t understand an autistic person, it’s because autistics have empathy deficits and poor communication skills. All the frictions and failures of connection between the two groups, and all the difficulties autistics run into in neurotypical society, all get blamed on autism. But when our vision is no longer clouded by the illusion of “normal,” we can recognize this double standard for what it is, recognize it as just another manifestation of the sort of privilege and power that dominant majorities so often wield over minorities of any sort.

In good faith, you could tell Tate Reeves how nutrition helps children, you could talk about Jesus feeding the masses with loaves and fishes, and Tate would not care.
Tates' religion is of cruelty and suffering. Tate knows vulnerable children and their parents are not his donors or members of his country club circle. His racism is his design.
The problem with studying Catholic heresies is that they literally made a hobby out of inventing fully realised heretical theologies in order to accuse each other of subscribing to them. Basically every single one comes with a big asterisk noting that it's unclear whether anyone ever actually believed this, or whether some random theologian just made up a guy to get mad at – and the worst part is that you absolutely cannot tell just from looking at them, because the heresies we do have evidence of actual practice for are, if anything, even weirder. Like, the guys who thought Jesus was a hologram were 100% real, so you can't rule anything out!
For the past two months I've been reading quite a few 40k books.
I saw it all, read it all, not many things suprise me anymore.
BUT
For the love of god everyone just self sensors when it comes to the word fuck.
In First and only they say feth.
In 13th Legion they say frag.
Just say fuck. Just say it, are you afraid your mom will put you on time out if you say it.
Let's ignore the gang rape scene in Inquisition War.
Let's ignore the detailed scenes of being devoured alive by tyranids Deathwing had.
Let's even ignore the mountains of corpses every book has by the end.
No
Saying the word fuck is just taking it too far. Doesn't matter that 4 seconds ago someone died by being disemboweled and we got the juciest details of their guts spilling out.
