Rhea asks" Is Kit going to be like super super powerful? Because I'm rlly rlly rlly excited abt his powers and I'm literally picturing him being like super super powerful (more powerful than like Magnus, Tessa, Clary, Ash, Jace ect. but only once he meets full power obviously). I'm just so so excited!! Also Kit and Ty doing necromancy is going to have major consequences in TWP right? I'm so excited for all the drama when the rest of the Blackthorns find out ect."
Well, the problem with super super super powerful characters is that nothing is really much of a threat to them. You see it in superhero movies where the more the hero powers up, the more his opponent has to be like, THE GALAXY PERSONIFIED. Also it makes the small conflicts of daily life a bit silly, like if you have the power of a god, you don't spend much time worrying about catching the bus.
Not that I want to write a book about Kit being worried about catching the bus. I do like characters with power! — often because what will always remain a challenge to them is other people. Love, friendship, those always remain issues they don't have power over and can't control. Which is fun!
I suppose all that is to say Kit may well be very powerful. But he will also need to be clever, and also need to work with others as a team, if he wants to defeat the fairly enormous evil they have to face in TWP.
And yes, there are always consequences to necromancy!

MASTERLIST
When you got the call that the part on the upcoming rom-com was yours, you could barely believe it. It took you days and actually signing the contract to fully believe that was about to happen - you finally got an important part in a big movie with some big stars. After struggling with your career for years now, that was very refreshing.
You didn’t know much about the movie plot at first, just a few bits that were enough for you to know you would be the romantic interest for the protagonist, but that was about it. You didn’t know who the protagonist was going to be - you were fairly sure they hadn’t hired anyone yet - but that didn’t stop you from going out with your friends to celebrate. It was a big moment, something that could really change your career, so you held nothing back to party and have a great time.
Weeks later, you were informed your romantic interest had finally been chosen and you almost yelled from the top of your lungs when the name Elizabeth Olsen was announced. Of course you knew who she was and was so, so, so excited to work with her. As soon as her name was announced, the media started giving the movie much more attention as well and you could barely contain your excitement to get the shooting started. You got to work with a Hollywood star who made several Marvel movies and a very successful TV show, not to mention all of her other works that you were a big fan of. Not only that, but you would play a couple and you couldn’t wait until you were finally told the exact day the shooting would start.
You would have to travel to another country, but you weren’t too worried about that. London was a nice place to be for a couple of months until you guys wrapped the movie, even if you would live in a hotel for that time being. You even got to the city a day before she had to just to make sure you weren’t jet-legged before going to the set for the first time. The only thing that slightly worried you a bit was that the director had forego a table reading for the entire cast, which meant you guys would only meet on the first day of working together, something that didn’t always work out the right way.
Even so, on the first day you had to be on the set, you woke up super early to be able to have a nice breakfast and get ready, and then you called for a cab to take you to where the shooting was going to happen. Most people had no idea who you were yet, but an assistant was waiting for you to take you to the director for a quick chat before going to hair and make-up. You knew the director already - since he was obviously there for your audition - although that didn’t make you any less nervous to be standing in front of him while the man talked about what was expected of you. He gave you a brief explanation of your character and how you should behave when the cameras were rolling, then you talked about the first scene you would shoot.
“We’re only going to need you after lunch since we’re shooting a few other things this morning with Ms Olsen and other characters,” he explained. “But be here around two and we’re getting started, okay?”
You could only nod along because you would never be stupid enough to disagree with someone who had been working in the industry since before you were born. “Is there anything specific I need to do for the scene? I read the script that was sent to me, but-”
“Oh, shit,” the director interrupted you with a grunt. “Bella, did we send her the new shooting schedule?” Upon seeing your panicked face and the assistant blank stare, he only sighed and shook his head. “Fine, then we have something for you to work on. We changed the scenes we’re shooting today because one of the actors had a problem with their agenda. My assistant here will give you the new part we’re doing today, so you’ll have new things to memorize.”
And that’s how your nerves got a thousand times worse.
You had been beating yourself up for weeks, putting a lot of pressure on your shoulders to do an impeccable job, to not screw over your big opportunity and, especially, to make a good first impression. You trained your lines in front of mirrors and with a close friend several times, and now suddenly things had changed and you didn’t feel like you had enough time to work on the new scene for it to be as good as you wanted it to be. However, once again, you didn’t try to tell other people how to do their job. You just accepted the new script and locked yourself with the make-up department to study the pages while they did their work.
It took you very little time to realize what scene you were supposed to be doing that day. On your very first day, nonetheless. It was a scene where your character and Elizabeth’s character held a small conversation before kissing. You were going to be kissing Elizabeth Olsen that day and you were not even a little bit prepared for that.
“You seem nervous, honey,” one of the oldest ladies in the room said when her assistant walked off to grab something.
You hadn’t noticed you were bouncing your leg until she pointed it out, but, once you did, you quickly froze and, with wide eyes and blushing cheeks, looked at her. “I’m not.”
“Everything is going to be fine,” she said with a low chuckle, clearly not believing in you.
“Yes, but…” You took a deep breath and let your eyes go through the pages again. “This is big, you know? And I’m not. I can’t screw this over.” After looking up again, you saw the way the woman was looking through her make-up kit to find something and it made you bite your lip as if you were waiting for it to be another failure of your day. “I wish I had bumped into her in the hallways or something.”
Thankfully, the make-up artist found what she was looking for and went back to her work. “Who are you shooting with?”
She was apparently used to having people freaking out on her chair and she was nice enough, kind and gentle, so you had no problem venting out to her a little bit. “Elizabeth.”
“Oh!” A wide smile turned the woman’s lips up. “She was here earlier today, obviously! She’s a gem!”
“Really?”
“Yes! Really nice person, you really have nothing to worry about!”
You hesitated for a second, looked at the scene written on the paper again, and then sighed. “Even if we have to kiss and we never even saw each other before?”
Well, the kind lady didn’t have anything helpful to say about that and you were left with silence once her assistant returned to the room. After your make-up was done, you had an early lunch break, and you ate alone inside a room while glossing over the script like a hawk. The more time went by, the more nervous you got, to the point you were starting to feel the beginning of an anxiety attack coming to bite you in the ass. That would certainly be way worse - way worse - so you decided to take a break for real and take a walk around the studio to think about anything else.
You had half an hour before having to go to the dressing room, so you walked slowly outside, enjoying the not so warm day out while taking calm breaths. You were walking for maybe ten minutes when you saw someone walking over beside an assistant and under an umbrella towards the door. Probably returning from a lunch break herself was Elizabeth Olsen, who didn’t seem to notice you as she walked. That was a perfect opportunity to pick up with her, introduce yourself and make things less weird once you two were standing in front of a camera, but you were too far away and the only way to reach her in time was to run towards her, which was even worse.
So, with a bit of dread in your heart, you watched her going inside and disappearing from your line of sight, and you were once again hit with the thoughts from before. You weren’t actually starstruck or something like that because you were professional and could get your job done, but the fear of somehow ruining things in front of Elizabeth made things worse. She had years of experience in big roles and she was the face of the movie, the protagonist. You couldn’t screw things up on your first scene.
Obsessing over it again, you went to the dressing department while chewing a mint, and popped another two before heading out, both out of nerves and because you were afraid you might have bad breath when you were supposed to be kissing someone. It wasn’t actually kissing, of course, but that would be bad. Very bad.
By the time the director called you for another talk, you had already dried your palms at least five times on the nice pants the wardrobe people gave you. He had a few things to point out, some tips and other requests for you, and you listened attentively. So attentively indeed that you didn’t notice when Elizabeth walked on set as well.
You were shooting inside a room that was supposed to look like a cafe and you had your backs turned to it, entirely missing the other actress walking behind you to talk to someone else. Once your eyes caught her, though, you felt your heart skipping a beat before skyrocketing inside your chest. You didn’t have the opportunity to be that close to her before, but, now that you had, you couldn’t help but take in all the details. From the clothes her character was going to wear, to the light make-up she had on, to the way her hair was falling in soft waves down her back.
Your first thought was that she looked beautiful, but that wasn’t exactly news. You had eyes, you knew who Elizabeth Olsen was before, and you knew she was beautiful. Although, seeing it up close, was certainly a whole new experience. The first thing that crossed your mind was how your imagination really tricked you into thinking she was much shorter than she was, though she was wearing high heels and you weren’t. Your clothes were plainly different since you were wearing jeans, a t-shirt and sneakers, while Elizabeth was wearing a ridiculously short skirt and what you assumed was a crop top besides the heels, of course.
You almost rolled your eyes at that because the director was really trying to make it clear that those characters were opposites - just like the cliche that the opposites attract or something similarly cheesy.
Noticing you got distracted by something, the director followed your eyes and quickly spotted Elizabeth, then saying something that made your heart beat even faster than before. “Elizabeth, come here please.”
You barely had the time to prepare yourself. You tried to discreetly run a hand through your hair, although you thought better about it when you remembered you didn’t have time to go back to hair and make-up, and also held yourself higher with a sudden perfect posture. If anyone else noticed it, no one said a thing, for which you were grateful.
“You know each other, right?” The director asked once Elizabeth stopped in front of you two, but he didn’t give you enough time to answer before starting to ramble about where he wanted you to stand, and what you should do, and when to tell certain things.
You kept stealing glances at the blonde woman in front of you, feeling your face getting warmer and warmer, though there wasn’t much you could do about it. The conversation ended with the director saying you had five minutes before the shooting started and then walking away to talk with someone else, and you didn’t have much of a choice but to follow one of his assistant leads to find your place to be on set. Elizabeth seemed more familiar with things and people already, and she easily sat down at one of the chairs to wait for things to get moving.
Before you realize it, someone is making you sit across from her at the table, and your nerves hit you with full force all at once. “H-Hi. So, uh, this is not weird at all, huh?”
And, as usual, you used humor as a defense mechanism.
Luckily, it did the trick because Elizabeth actually smiled at you, even if it was mostly just polite. “Y/N, right?” She asked, though she obviously knew it was you by now. Even so, you nodded to let her know she was right. “Nice to meet you. I’m sorry we couldn’t meet before, but I just got here from where I was shooting my last job. They wanted to do a table reading, but I couldn’t make it and we were already on a tight schedule.”
Well, that explained some of the rush people seemed to be in. You couldn’t blame her for having a busy agenda, of course, even if that certainly didn’t help with your anxiety. You still offered her a gentle smile and waved a hand. “That’s okay. I mean, not ideal, but okay. I suppose there were worse scenes for us to shoot after literally knowing each other for five minutes,” you joked.
Elizabeth understood what you meant and chuckled - a low, deep sound that made your insides twist a bit and you just knew you would have to work extra hard to end up that job without a new crush on someone that was way out of your league.
You didn’t have time to dwell on that for long because the director soon asked everyone to be on their marks and, a couple of minutes later, he was yelling “action!”.
You did the best you could at that moment. Not your best, but the best you could. You were nervous, you were shaking a bit and your mind was running faster thinking about the kiss you would have to give Elizabeth later on the scene. Were the mints you ate enough? You brushed your teeth twice, but maybe you should’ve done it once more just to be sure. And you didn’t even have the time to discuss with Elizabeth how the kiss would play out. You would like to know if she had any boundaries she wouldn’t like you to cross or what to do with your hands. And, oh God, your palms were sweaty again, you couldn’t just put them on her face.
The first takes were a disaster. The director seemed so disappointed that you could barely look at him, but he was also looking pissed the more he had to cut a scene. The problem wasn’t even your lines since you hit them all at the right time, but it was hard to ignore that Elizabeth and you didn’t seem to have any chemistry. You were still weird around each other, albeit you would have to admit Elizabeth was doing most of the job while you were silently freaking out across from her.
It was a very frustrating two hours before the director decided to go for the kiss. You couldn’t help but wonder if that was his last try before giving up completely, something that you were sure once he decided to call it a day after the first and only kiss you shared with Elizabeth on screen. While you were moping on your chair, you noticed that he called Elizabeth into a corner and they were talking at each other in whispers, and you could swear you saw eyes snapping at you every once in a while, which only made things worse.
You felt like you had already ruined everything. The thing you were most afraid of, and you managed to do just that. No more opportunities in your career because you just proved to a very important director and a well-known actress that you couldn’t do your job.
Jesus fuck.
You left the set faster than anyone could stop you. You knew you were the one to blame for the terrible work you did that day and you wanted a few minutes alone to mop and collect yourself before someone knocked on the door to fire you. You didn’t have trailers though and you weren’t sure if there were any free rooms, so you ended up in hair and make-up again, thinking that you could at least remove it all before crying and ruining your mascara.
“How was it, honey?”
You almost jumped out of your skin when you heard the make-up artist’s voice coming from a corner of the room since you hadn’t noticed she was there, but you soon relaxed when you saw her kind smile directed at you. You couldn’t bring yourself to lie, not really, and maybe talking with someone would prepare you not to cry when you got fired for real, so that’s what you did.
“It was terrible,” you admitted sadly. “I ruined everything. We don’t have chemistry. Like, none at all. I’m waiting for someone to stop by to fire me right now.”
“Fire you? What for?”
She looked genuinely confused by it. “Well, it’s just, you know… They’re not going to fire her. She’s Elizabeth Olsen. She’s the reason why so many streaming platforms tried to buy this movie. They will realize they can find someone better to be her romantic interest. Maybe Aubrey Plaza, since they already did a movie together. They know each other, it will be easier for them.”
“So you think things could be fixed if you knew her better?”
“I don’t know.” You shrugged and totally missed the way the woman rolled her eyes at you while you sat down. She was finding it all amusing, even if you were on the verge of crying for ruining your career.
“You met today, didn’t you?” The woman asked and waited for you to nod. “Maybe that’s the problem. You just met.”
You thought about it for a moment, allowing her to start removing your make-up for you even if that wasn’t exactly her job, a frown permanently on your face. “You’re saying I should get to know her better.”
“Of course! Don’t worry too much, honey. It was the first day. They’re not going to fire you on the first day.”
That made sense. Now that someone else pointed it out, you could see that it was very unlikely that they would fire you after one day of shooting. Yes, it wasn’t great and they didn’t have much time to wait for you to catch up, but that only meant you had to be fast to fix things. You didn’t want to lose that gig and you certainly didn’t want to allow people to think you were bad at what you did. You were just nervous. Overly nervous because of your anxiety, that’s all. It was your first big job, you were meeting some important people, the schedule got changed last minute, and you shouldn’t have drank three cups of coffee in the morning, for sure.
You could still fix this.
You just needed to be fast.
“I’m bringing you donuts tomorrow!” You promised as you ran out of the room minutes later, but you didn’t wait for a reply - nor did you add that you would do that if you didn’t get fired.
Your optimism was back and you wasted no time to go find one of the assistants to ask what time you should be there tomorrow - just to be sure you were expected to be there tomorrow - and then you set on your mission to go find Elizabeth. You had no idea what to say or what you needed, but you knew you had to find her to, at the very least, try to change her perception of you.
You were lucky enough to find her alone looking at her phone while she seemingly waited for someone to show up in the hallway where she was standing, so you quickly walked towards Elizabeth and displayed your best smile - now much more relaxed and less nervous. “Hey, good I found you here!”
Green eyes - so damn green, you thought - looked up at you and Elizabeth put her phone away before crossing her arms and waiting for you to stop in front of her. “Hello.”
“I wanted to apologize for today,” you started and gave her no time to interrupt. “I know that was mostly my fault, well, all my fault actually.” You let out a self-deprecating chuckle as you raised a hand to scratch the back of your neck. “I’m sorry, I admit I was a bit nervous. I mean, we met literally minutes before having to shoot together. I’m not used to that.” You dropped your hand and, without realizing it, started to move them around while you talked. “We’re going to shoot that scene again tomorrow and I was thinking that maybe we should get to know each other so things don’t go as weird as they went today.”
Okay, Elizabeth’s eyes were very green. They were so light! And her nose was so cute, slightly turned up. And no one should be allowed to have such perfectly shaped lips like that, it should be a crime, really.
You got lost in your thoughts, you realized, and it made your cheeks go red so fast that you let out an awkward cough just to have an excuse to bring your hand to your face to try to cover it a bit. “Well, I was thinking that maybe you would like to go out with me today.”
That was not what you wanted to say. At all. Oh, fuck.
Elizabeth’s reaction would have been priceless if you weren’t the idiot standing in front of her. Her eyes widened, she took a step back, and her own face went pink. It all happened so fast that it took you a moment to recover as well.
“It's not like a date date,” you quickly said, desperately trying to fix what you did. “I mean, we will have dinner, talk, hang out for a bit, but it doesn't have to be romantic. I mean, it's not romantic!” You corrected, waving your hands around and standing there with your eyes almost falling from your face, and your heart beating way too fast again. Well, so much for trying to save your job. Now you were going to be let down under the accusation of sexual harassment or something like that. You didn’t know if keeping talking was a good or a bad idea, but you couldn’t bring yourself to stop either. “I just thought it might help us lose up a little bit, you know? Get more comfortable around each other. Our first scene together was a very… deep kiss, we didn't have much time to talk before that.”
Elizabeth didn’t say anything at first, but she also didn’t look as surprised as before, so you would count that as a small victory. You waited for her to say something while changing your weight from one leg to the other, hands awkwardly crossed in front of you while also trying not to stare at her for too long. It was the way you were incapable of not being a gay mess that got you in that situation, after all.
“So…” The other woman started eventually and you felt your breath getting stuck in your throat as you waited for the verdict. “Like a dinner?”
“Yes,” you agreed way too fast, just for you then realize it would be better if you acted a bit more like it wasn’t just dinner with a stranger. “And no. If you don’t mind, I think that acting just a little bit like it's a date might help. I could open the doors for example.” Just after you said that, you realized how dumb it sounded. You placed both hands on your waist and took a deep breath. “I will stop talking now before I dig myself a bigger hole,” you mumbled shyly.
Yes, you were now getting fired.
You would have to pray not to have the police knocking on your door either.
God, you really should’ve gone to college like your family wanted you to.
“I don't dislike your idea, but we don’t have much time,” Elizabeth took pity on you, apparently, which you weren’t sure was a good thing. “We have more scenes together to shoot tomorrow.”
Way quicker than you should, you exclaimed: “We can go out tonight!” And, after hearing how eager you sounded, you were fast to add: “If you want.”
Elizabeth didn’t look so certain that it was a good idea indeed, and you pretended not to see when she glanced at you from head to toe because it would only make you blush again - you feared your face would never return to its natural color if you kept blushing like that. “Ok,” the other woman conceded finally.
It was your turn to express how surprised you were by that answer. “Wait, really? Okay! Yeah, great!” You were rambling and, once again, you couldn’t stop. “Just spectacular!” Just spectacular? Really? You had nothing better to say? Could you keep yourself from oversharing things, please? “I will, uh, go now.” And now you were stuttering as well, good. “Just, uh, I will wait for you or I will meet you at the parking lot or…?” You trailed off, now sure you should just stop talking altogether.
“I would like to go back to the place I'm staying to change, if you don't mind,” Elizabeth said.
You wasted no time to nod eagerly at her. “Of course not! That’s perfect.” Yes, because you needed to return the clothes to the dressing department and having a shower also sounded nice. You could back to your hotel and pick something better to wear. It also gave you some time to find out where you could take her. “I can, uh, pick you up if you wish and then we can, hm, go.”
Now Elizabeth grinned at you stumbling over the words and her eyes glanced down for a moment - just enough for you to feel like you could breathe again. “Sounds nice. I have your phone from the group chat they put us in today. I will send you my location when I get there,” she promised.
You sighed in relief, not even trying to hide it. “Sure, sure. Okay.” The rambling was back. “Yes. Perfect.”
“Yes, spectacular,” Elizabeth replied with a slight teasing in her tone that made you relax instantly.
You chuckled mostly at your own awkwardness and then shook your head. “Okay, now I will go.” You pointed over your shoulder with your thumb and saw the blonde woman smile. “See you later.”
Soon - very soon - you came to the conclusion that you were insane.
There was no other explanation, really, because you really asked Elizabeth Olsen to have dinner with you. And then you proceeded to run over your mouth and say it was kind of like a date, but not a real date. You should also not forget that you not only made a fool of yourself - twice in the same day, you might add - but you also managed to make things worse than they were before.
You were certain you would be fired by the end of the week.
But that was the exact thought that made you find enough courage to keep going with your plan. There was no way you could make things worse, you were at least sure of that. So you could keep up with your initial thoughts to get to know her a little better. You might get out of that with a friend, after all.
Also, the idea of having dinner with Elizabeth was a good one. You loved her work and you could spend some time gushing about how amazing she was - something you were sure you would find no problem in doing.
With your mind set to make it all worth it, you tried to find a nice restaurant on your way to the hotel. You tried to use your phone, but your mind was racing too much and you couldn’t comprehend the several reviews from different restaurants online. You read all of them, but no word actually stuck and you barely even understood the restaurant’s names to start with.
“Hey,” you decided to say, leaning over between the seats to get closer to your driver. He seemed like a nice guy, he hadn’t tried to talk to you yet and he put on a nice playlist, so you considered it was safe to ask him. “Do you know any good restaurants in town?”
“Depends. What do you want to eat? And what’s the occasion?”
You left his car with three options in your mind, which was great because you could call them and ask if they would take your reservation. The driver told you the name of another restaurant just before he took off, having leaned on his window to be heard by you, and you raised your thumbs at him in thanks before entering the hotel. You and Elizabeth didn’t say what time you would pick her up, therefore you decided not to take too long to get ready. You showered pretty quickly and chose your clothes after just a few minutes of debating with yourself, and then you grabbed your phone to make some calls.
Two of the restaurants didn’t even pick up the call and you wondered if they were even working that night, and the third one said they didn’t have any free tables. Luck started to smile at you when you called the fourth place the driver had said and they gladly told you they would be waiting for you at any time you decided to drop by. Relieved, you decided to check their name just to be sure you wouldn’t be taking Elizabeth to a food truck around the block. It seemed like a nice enough place, just a small French bistro that you were sure would do just great.
Elizabeth reached out about two hours after you got into your hotel room and you couldn’t say you weren’t surprised that she was still on board with that. You were half expecting her to either text you saying she couldn’t make it or just disappear all night, but you were glad to see that wasn’t the case. After calling for another cab, you took one last look in the mirror to make sure you were looking somewhat good enough, and then you left to meet her.
The address she sent you wasn’t from a hotel and you soon found yourself in front of a building. You texted her to let her know you were there and, after asking the driver to wait for a minute, you exited the vehicle to wait for Elizabeth outside. She didn’t take too long to appear, opening the door and stepping out distractedly, although she immediately caught your attention.
Elizabeth was wearing a simple dark green shirt that clung to her skin perfectly and a black tiered skirt that went down to her ankles. Around her waist, a black belt complemented the look along with the high heels that you weren’t surprised to see. Her hair was pretty much the same as you had seen earlier that day, but she clearly put on some effort to do her make-up, topping it all with red lipstick that made your brain shut for a while.
You were all of a sudden feeling undressed, though you couldn’t imagine having anything in your wardrobe that would get even close to that.
“Wow,” you breathed out once she spotted you and started walking towards you. “You look… gorgeous.
“Oh, thank you.” You noticed a blush rising from her neck to her cheeks and how she raised a hand to put her hair behind her ear and you just smiled at the cute scene.
Holy crap, you didn’t even know someone could be so beautiful.
Noticing you were staring at her again, you shook your head and pointed to the car waiting for you two. “Right, so, we should, uh, go.”
The drive to the restaurant took a while and you tried to keep the conversation light because the driver could hear you two talking and it would do no good. Elizabeth kept her replies short, but she shot back you a few questions - mostly about your career and how you got into acting. She admitted not knowing much about you before they called her to be the protagonist of the current movie you were working on, but you didn’t mind about that. She seemed interested enough to learn now and that’s all that mattered. Things still felt a bit awkward, but you were going to blame that on the fact that you had to watch your words since you weren’t alone.
“I hope you don’t mind the place,” you told her after stepping out of the car. The bistro behind you was even smaller than you initially thought and it looked mostly empty, which made you start rethinking your decision to take Elizabeth there. “But I was told they have an amazing menu.”
“It looks nice,” Elizabeth replied with a small smile.
You motioned for her to walk first but, before she could open the door of the restaurant, you remembered what you said before and took large steps to beat her to it - which would certainly look ridiculous to someone looking from outside, but there wasn’t much you could do. You opened the door for her and waved your hand dramatically to indicate the way to the other woman. Elizabeth arched one eyebrow before chuckling softly and walking inside the bistro. She paused to wait for you to do the same and you were blessed with a smile when you looked at her again.
Before you could say anything, though, someone approached you to take you both to your table. After you were sitting, you allowed yourself a moment to just look around the bistro, noticing the small details and the cozy environment while Elizabeth looked over the wine charter to pick something. It was a nice place indeed, especially where you were sitting by one of the corners since you asked for privacy, and you almost wished you had tipped the driver better for that only.
“I wanted to apologize,” you said after you placed your order minutes later. Elizabeth looked at you in confusion, so you jumped to explain. “I feel like I might have made you uncomfortable with my rambling earlier. This isn’t a date and I’m sorry if I made it sound like it was. I tend to make jokes when I’m nervous, but they don’t always come out…” you nodded while trying to think about the right way to phrase it, “as I wish they did.”
“You didn’t make me uncomfortable, don’t worry,” Elizabeth told you calmly. “I understood where you were trying to get and what you were trying to say. Like I said, I don’t think this is a horrible idea. It can actually help us out.”
“Yes, that’s another thing I want to apologize for.” You scratched the back of your neck and grimaced. “I kind of ruined the shooting today.”
“You weren’t the only one there, you know?” She offered with a shrug. “Like I said, getting to know each other will help us out. Besides, we’re going to work together for two months, so I guess this is a good start.”
“Even if I put my foot in my mouth?” You wondered, although now you were feeling relaxed enough to feel all your anxiety leave your body at once. It was like you could finally be yourself without the constant fear of doing or saying something wrong.
“Let’s see how the night goes,” Elizabeth joked and you both shared a laugh at that.
Things after that went pretty well.
The wine got there before the food and you both drank while talking about work at first. It was an easy topic, sharing fun stories and anecdotes that made the other laugh, but it soon wandered away from it. You both started talking about family, friends, hobbies, dreams, plans for the future and, before you realized it, you were animatedly chatting, laughing and gesticulating as if you had never once felt nervous around Elizabeth before.
She had a cute laugh that made you want to keep saying silly things to hear it again, and an easy smile that made your heart skip a beat, and green eyes that made you never want to look away, and her voice was so smooth that you wished you could hear her for hours and hours. She was funny, but she was also smart. She talked with passion about her works, about gardening, about her family, about the books she liked to read, and about everything she loved.
Halfway through dinner, you realized you wished it was a date.
It wasn’t surprising because you knew yourself enough to know it might end up happening - Elizabeth was, after all, a very beautiful and interesting woman - but that didn’t mean it made things easier. You were there to forge a friendship with her so you could work together, not to fancy her somehow. Elizabeth was also way out of your league, you couldn’t even bring yourself to dream about anything else happening.
The conversation was happening so smoothly that neither of you realized the restaurant was about to close until one of the waitresses politely told you she would have to collect the plates, but that you could finish off the wine bottle before leaving. That was the second bottle you shared and you were feeling just too happy already, so you declined to drink the rest of it. You were sure you weren’t drunk from the alcohol but from the great time you were having, but it was better safe than sorry. Elizabeth ended up saying she wouldn’t drink it either and you decided to call it a night to allow the employees to go home instead of having to work in a mostly empty restaurant.
You called for a cab once you were outside, thankfully managing to make a car stop in front of you pretty fast, and then you opened up the back door for Elizabeth to enter. You slid behind her, telling her address to the driver, and then you kept talking silently until the car parked in front of her building. You got out first and reached out with one hand to help Elizabeth get out as well before walking her to the door.
“I had a great time,” Elizabeth said as she turned around to face you.
“So did I,” you smiled. “I don’t think I laughed this hard in a long time.”
Her giggle reached your ears, which brought you such a gleeful feeling that you just knew was not a good sign. “Me neither,” she admitted.
When you tell that story years down the road, you would blame the way Elizabeth smiled at you and the way the light made her shine like something from another world for what you said next - though you knew it was just your large mouth speaking before your brain could process the words again. “So, if I wanted to take you out on a date date, would I stand any chance?”
Elizabeth looked at you for a long time before finally replying. “Well, you certainly left a good impression tonight.” She hesitated before talking again. “I would say it made me wish it was a real date. Just a little bit,” she added with a hint of humor, holding her index finger and her thumb just a few inches apart from each other.
You laughed - mostly out of relief - and nodded. “Do you think, well, do you think you have free time later this week? I would love to take you out again.”
“I think we can make that work,” was her answer and, honestly, that’s all you needed to be sure you made the right choice that day.
The director barely recognized you two working together on the screen the next day, so much so that he pulled you both to the side to congratulate you on your performance. You said it was all Elizabeth, but she only rolled her eyes at you and hit your hibs with her elbow before you both shared a laugh. You had your first official date that same Friday at the same bistro, albeit you ordered different dishes this time.
You were officially dating a month later and, by the time you wrapped the movie, there was already some gossip going around about you two. Both Elizabeth and you decided to ignore it and not address it for a while since they were harmless gossip - not to mention that it did wonderful things to the movie’s advertising.
A year later, though, you walked holding hands at the movie premier and you couldn’t bring yourself to care that you were celebrating your first year together promoting the movie that made you meet the love of your life.

ranboo tweet... uh
["This was such a good joke and I am appalled by the fact that it has not gone absolutely bonkers viral. I mean is comedy dead? I just dont understand how a regular human being can read the word "Greans" (A combination of green and jeans) followed by an image of, well, green jeans, and not absolutely evacuate themselves in laughter.
I believe this has something to do with the fact that comedy as we know it is dying. It has become too mainstream in todays media and that is the main problem. Gone are the days where silly little guys in their silly little hop hats are able to go "knock knock" and absolutely change the world. Nowadays you have to have so many things that go into a joke for it to remotely even be funny, setup, punchline the whole ordeal. Whatever happened to just a simple Practicality joke? Whatever happened to just being able to slap someone and be the headlining act?
The world is so full of so called "comedians" these days it makes me sick. All these people do is spend hours writing and practicing their act in order to try and sway an audience to have a good time listening to their words. For SHAME! Comedy used to be just two people on a stage just slapping eachother and going "knock knock" for twenty hours. Whatever happened to the good ol days where people just laughed at whatever someone said because their brain hadnt fully developed?
This is why I believe that I am going to start performing my comedy acts to a bunch of babies. An absolute hoard of newborns. I will make my jokes to them and they will laugh for they truly understand what humor should be. I will go to a hospital in that little room they have where it is very easy to switch said babies and cause a bit of a ruckus, but instead of doing that (very funny joke) I will simply perform for them and relish in their cheers and guffaws.
It is sad that one has to turn to performing to just babies in order for the world to understand the complexity of ones said humor, but alas if its what I must do its what I must do. Maybe one day we will revert back to absolute comedy anarchy, where the chicken has not yet crossed the road, but until then I will continue to strive and push forward in this dark age of comedy.
Maybe a complete reset of what we find funny is in order, maybe we have lost what humor once was for us. We obviously have considering my VERY FUNNY TWEET does not have a bazillion likes and has not spun off at least 30 million movie deals. (Please note that this joke is satire, and Ranboo stands in solidarity with the SAG-AFTRA strikes. Support actors and writers. -A message from Ranboo)
I spent time and effort making this tweet, I saw the green jeans in front of my eyes (which are very squishy) and my neurons fired and made this absolute gem of a joke. I was excited to share it with the world, I tweeted it nearly right after I saw it, excited to see what new adventures this tweet could bring me. I went to bed all cozy smiling like a child on christmas eve night, excited for the morning. When I woke I turned to check my phone instantly, my eyes racing to see the like total. What would it be? 500k? A million? I was surprised that my dms hadnt blown up with a personal message from every billionaire going "let me give you all of my money I can never make anything as good as your "Greans" tweet" but It must have been a glitch.
I was appalled to see that my tweet had only 30K??? 30K for the pinnacle of all of human achievement? A slap in the face of innovation is what it felt like. Like when that thomas edison guy ate a stolen lightbulb or something idk what he did really but I remember the person who made that lightbulb which he ate probably felt really sad and I felt really sad so I felt a deep connection with that person.
I quickly fell into a great depression, this is what all of my life had lead up to: one sad tweet. I didnt see the outside for years because of this tweet. I thought to myself "why would they do this?", "Isnt humanity supposed to be kind, supportive, and have a sense of humor when it comes to differently colored jean jokes?" (dcjj as I call them), and "Man I should probably have a burger" (I did) (very yummy) but as I ate my burger all I could taste were my TEARS as I chomped into it from the top down. It felt like I couldnt do anything right. Until thats when it hit me.
Im not the problem, EVERYONE ELSE IS! My humor isnt "bad" or "unfunny" or "makes me want to find a microwave and cause it to malfunction so I either become the hulk or die" (Please do not try this. -Another Ranboo message) It has to be that simply I am so far ahead in the world when it comes to comedy that my time has simply just not yet come! My jokes will be funny to a different generation, which will be frowned upon at first but I will quickly be welcomed with open arms, and told that I am an innovator, a true scholar of all that is funny.
And so I wait for that day. I wait for the day that people look back on my Greans tweet and realize, that without a doubt that it is the funniest thing that they have ever seen. The problem is not with my joke, the problem is with the world, and thats what makes humanity beautiful, is that it evolves, it changes, it doesnt stick to its mindset that a tweet that has the word "Greans" followed by a pair of green jeans doesnt get a BAZILLION LIKES! I wait for that day, and for those of you who are with me, I hope you wait patiently as well. Stay strong."]

Lewis Hamilton fic
Y/n and Lewis have just had a baby that was born on lh birthday and just them in the hospital doing fluffy skin to skin contact etc
I couldn't ask for anything better- lewis hamilton
Tumblr media
summary: lewis being the best dad since he found out you were pregnant and him having a special birthday by having his first big moment with your baby. pairing: lewis hamilton x reader warnings: none - just lewis being incredibly sweet, I can't 😭 words count: 1.0 k Author’s note: hey anon, i really loved and enjoyed writing your idea! thanks for you request and hope you like it❤
Tumblr media
Since you found out you were pregnant, you couldn't have been happier and excited to tell Lewis about it; however, you were a little insecure about telling him because even though the two of you have been together for several years now and have talked about starting a family, you didn't know if it was the right time.
Fortunately, and to your no surprise, Lewis took it as incredible news and one of the happiest moments of your life, you were both so happy for the little life you had created and now, was growing inside of you.
Due to Lewis' busy schedule, it was sometimes impossible for him to attend your doctor's appointments, and although he somehow felt bad that he couldn't be there, you assured him that it was no problem.
At one of the many appointments - where Lewis was able to attend - the doctor asked if you would like to know the gender of your baby, obviously you didn't hesitate.
It was a boy.
From that moment on, Lewis was more than happy. As soon as the race weekend was over, Lewis immediately took a flight to get home as soon as possible to you, "his safe place" - he always told that to you and your belly - he loved spending time with you lying down, watching movies, caressing your belly and always talking to him, since he read an article that said your baby could hear voices, recognise them and remember them - even being in your belly - to make a stronger connection with your baby, he started to do it often and even more when he saw a response from your baby boy.
"Hi baby, I just got back from a race and guess what? George and I got a podium together. This one's for you and mommy" he spoke to your belly as he lay on your lap and you stroked his braids.
Just as he started talking, you immediately felt a kick.
" Love, did you feel that?" he asked excitedly "our baby just kicked my face".
And you both looked at each other with tears in your eyes. You loved these moments with your little family.
Finally, the end of the season came, and you were both thankful that you would now be spending more time together.
Before you were pregnant, every holiday that Lewis had, you would take the opportunity to go to the beach, skiing, and camping; however, this time being pregnant and in the last few weeks of your pregnancy, you had decided to stay home in case your baby decided to be born.
Lewis' birthday was only a week away, so you started thinking about what you could do or what you could give him.
Finally, you decided that you would have a small dinner with just family and close friends, something very intimate.
The birthday came and with your now, big belly you decided to cook something to bring him breakfast in bed, Roscoe followed you into the kitchen.
"Let's get daddy his breakfast, baby?" You spoke to him as you carried the tray and headed into the room, to which Roscoe barked.
"Buddy, wake up daddy," you ordered him and he obeyed.
He climbed into bed and started barking and licking his face while you started singing.
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday to the best man and next father in the world".
"Oh baby, thank you so much" Lewis started to wake up and spoke in a husky voice.  How you loved listening to him.
"Here you go, some breakfast" you put the tray on his lap and leaned in to give him a peck.
"You wouldn't have bothered, it's the other way around. I would have to do it to you, our baby will be born at some point" he said as he hugged you around the waist and caressed your belly.
"Don't worry out, this is your.... "You suddenly stopped because you felt a sudden cramp in your stomach.
"y/n, love, are you okay?" he looked out at you with concern.
"lewis, I think our baby decided to be born today" you replied groaning in pain and shocked.
You quickly made your way to the hospital, where Lewis was by your side, holding your hand and welcoming your baby boy, Theodore, on his birthday, January 7, 2023.
While you were resting, the nurses brought your baby into the room.
"Sir, it's important to mention that we suggest you to have skin-to-skin contact with the baby to get your first interaction with the baby to build a connection with him. It also helps to calm his crying, keep him warm, would you like to do that?"
"Of course I would," Lewis quickly responded.
The nurses instructed him to take off his shirt and so, they passed him your little baby, pressing him to his chest.
"Hi baby, it's daddy do you remember me? I always talked to you when you were in mommy's belly," he couldn't help but shed tears.
"I want to say that you are the best gift I have ever been given in my whole life. I'm so grateful to mummy for bringing you to life, she is amazing and I know you will love her as much as I do.
You are the best thing that ever happened to me"
You finally woke up and the first thing you saw when you opened your eyes, was that beautiful scene. The love of your life with your baby boy.
You immediately started crying, you're so happy.
"Look who woke up Theo, mum. She's so tired, she did an amazing job." He said as he walked over to you.
" Darling, thank you so much for everything. Theo has definitely been the best gift. You guys are the best and I couldn't ask for anything better."
"Lew, thank you too. I couldn't have picked a better man to be the father of my children."

To add on the age debate again.
Tbh I think that being uncomfortable with actors ages is pointless because if they are over 18 and doing more adult scenes they can do what they want. I haven’t seen the casting for Nikki but I assume he’s over 18. The problem is when shows like Skins hire 16-17 year olds to do more explicit scenes and make the actors uncomfortable and to the extreme of the 1994 movie with Kristen Dunst at 10 kissing a 30 year old Brad Pitt. Also you didn’t make me feel belittled it’s mainly when other people brush off concerns because ‘it’s in the book’ argument. I would not care if they changed Armand to 19-20 because yes he’s young but legally an adult! Sometimes it’s hard to portray these relationships on screen.
I’m very excited for devil’s minion and it’s probably my favourite pairing in the books. I think that the main concern started for me when I saw a post about Old Man Daniel’s sex life and emphasising Armand being frozen at 17 physically and those comments do feel maybe unsettling? I’m fine with age gap relationships we know that Armand is mentally mature from living over 500 years.
I also think this stems from a tiktok I saw discussing the obsession of young/old porn in Japan and the danger of those barely legal videos. Obviously Anne Rice wasn’t writing the books because she’s some huge creep… She wanted complex characters and relationships but the vampires don’t really have sex in the books the blood stuff is intimacy and companionship. The show is its own entity and having the vampires have sex it kind of changes things and I think that it’s a better idea to age them up slightly just so there’s no real underage problem like you said.
Aging Daniel up was a show thing though, and I personally like it a lot.
But yes, Anne did not write the books to emphasize this... though often a lot of her stance on "underage" bleeds through. Anne Rice wasn't exactly the most unproblematic author, there is a lot that can be said here.
However, the way the show has done it feels very fitting to me. None of them are too young to touch these subjects, and yes... Joseph Potter is older than 18 :)))
I think he will be a great Nicki.
As per Devil's Minion, I for one cannot wait to see it on screen, and to get a version that literally spans decades?! That's amazing, imho. There is so much "food" coming up *laughs*

"Bella, however, was straight chamomile for your soul, warm and calming with just enough sweetness that always left you wanting a little bit more..."
Pairing: Bella x Reader (referred to as "You")
Word Count: 3600ish
Warnings: mild language, adult themes & fluffy thoughts :)
(Takes place during filming of TLoU2)
Your first two weeks on the job had been pretty inconsequential, which you desperately appreciated since it was your first time working in this particular setting. You had been working for the studio for a few years now, but, being on location and having a more hands on approach with a huge production was all new to you. When the email about the job found its way to your inbox, you knew that this was exactly the opportunity you had been waiting for. Ever since the world opened up again two years ago, you had been searching for something a bit more exciting. You were happy enough with your job but being the assistant to the assistant of some big wig in the legal department hadn't always been the most stimulating or rewarding. There was also the rather unimpressive matter of your love life.  That had definitely been put on the backburner over the last couple of years, not that it ever truly had been on fire so to speak. So, since there was nothing holding you back, you had come to the conclusion that a new adventure and a fresh take on life was just the thing that would solve all your problems.
You were the first employee to reply to the inquiry and was quickly approved for the position. You figured there wasn't  a lot of interest in leaving the warm and pleasant southern California winter for whatever awaited in Vancouver, but you knew it would be exactly what you needed, plus you got to buy cute new  boots. The studio was loaning you out to help with the overwhelming scale of the show's production. You would be helping out the Assistant Director as basically a second, 2nd AD. You had to laugh, here you were trying to escape the whole helping out the assistant gig but you couldn't deny the change of scenery. The job itself wasn't very stressful which allowed you to fully adjust mentally. Your duties included handing out the next day's call sheets and shepherding the cast to and from set. This meant you got to drive a golf cart sometime if the location was far enough away from base camp and you couldn't lie, that made you feel pretty important.
So here you were, two weeks in and making some good professional connections. The crew had been very welcoming to you and you were a little surprised at how friendly and personable the cast had been right off the bat. You knew that people had the tendency to become like family on a set and you had heard about this particular group of cast and crew being extremely close, so it was really cool that everyone had opened their arms to you. Everyone always had something to say to you and you would reciprocate with generic friendly banter while escorting them at the start and end of the day.
You were mostly in charge of the principal cast as well as some of the supporting cast and extras. You were admittedly a bit nervous at meeting the "Big Three" but your nerves were quickly put to ease. Pedro and Gabriel would joke and ask you about your favorite movies and music and constantly kept you on your toes. It was nice to feel so included but they were like a double shot of espresso directly into your veins and their jovial whims were sometimes a lot to take in that early or late in the day. Bella, however, was straight camomille for your soul, warm and calming with just enough sweetness that always left you wanting a little bit more. They were obviously friendly but there was an air of mystery that surrounded Bella and you honestly found that very refreshing, it made it easier for you to focus on your job without having to worry about sounding cool or impressive with your small talk. You knew that you came off quiet and shy, it was something you were trying to work on. You wanted to crack open your shell more with everyone, you knew it was important to be open with coworkers, but remaining professional and keeping things light and simple was something that was important to you too. It was a fine line and you certainly knew how to awkwardly tread it.
Before you knew it, those two weeks had suddenly turned into six, leading you to completely understand the concept of production time moving differently than real time. It felt like only six seconds had passed but also as if you all had been together for six years. Each day was as new and exciting as the very first, yet you had now settled into a comfortable routine that made you feel confident and purposeful in your role on set. For example, you knew when you picked Pedro up from base camp that he would need 27 shots of espresso over ice, despite the average temperature being 45 degrees, as well as a full recap of the show you were binging at his recommendation. And thanks to Gabriel, you had learned more about hockey then you ever thought was possible and always checked the stats from the  previous day's games to throw at him as you handed over his coffee. And with Bella, well, they were a bit trickier than the others. You always handed them their drinks with the biggest of smiles which they would return immediately along with friendly interaction. No, that wasn't the complicated part. The thing was that Bella had started to take the time to ask about you. All the big and important things that kinda scared you. When they tried to get you to open up and expose a deeper part of yourself,, that shy and insecure creature would take over your brain. Friendships or any kind of connection with someone was hard for you. You knew from experience that being vulnerable and deep with someone would only end up with some sort of betrayal or heartache. That is why you found it easier to try and not get too close to anyone and just keep your work mode activated at all times. The last thing you wanted was for Bella to think you were rude and when they smiled and their eyes seemed to burn into your soul, you began to find it harder and harder to ignore their intrigue.
Over the next week you found yourself trying to  let go more when you were with Bella and to not be so concerned about what they might think of you. And soon It was almost involuntary, you didn't even have to try, everything was becoming more natural between you two. Bella was absolutely the easiest person to talk to that you had ever met. They always had the most insane eye contact with you as you spoke, and it made you a little excited, almost as if Bella thought you were the most interesting person in the world. Questions and answers were given back and forth with smiles, laughter and the occasional, "No way, me too!" and it really felt nice to laugh like that again and to feel a connection with someone. Soon the desire for the journeys to and from set to last longer were starting to occupy a good portion of your heart.
The sun was dripping through the leaves and warming the cold ground as production wrapped for lunch. You couldn’t believe that another two weeks had passed as you deeply inhaled the fresh air around you. It had been nice to get away from the city for a bit, taking in the beauty of the Vancouver forests. It was a small location shoot this week, "Ellie's Big Birthday Adventure" as it was cited on the call sheets. The crew numbers were down  and the only cast that was needed was Pedro and Bella. The air was different out here and there seemed to be a rejuvenated sense of childlike wonder amongst the cast and crew. You were constantly  running around trying to keep an eye on your "kids'' as you and the crew affectionately referred to Pedro and Bella. It had been much easier in the city when everyone had a designated trailer to hangout and wait for you in but now you found yourself pulling them away from bug collecting and rock skipping whenever they were needed. Despite the ever changing runaround with them, you fell asleep every night with the biggest of smiles, you were loving every moment of it.
As you were exiting the Craft service tent you noticed Pedro, Bella and another crew member waving you over. You nodded at them acknowledging the invitation and settled down on a spare seat between Bella and a camera operator. Normally you didn't join the others during their breaks, you usually tucked yourself away in one of the crew trailers with your headphones in and your eyes closed if you weren't running around collecting updated sheets or checking in with other actors. However here, bounded by the trees, there wasn't anywhere else you would rather be.
"We're finding out what everyone's favorite field trip was when they were in school." Pedro stated after you had exchanged a communal wave to the group. You laughed softly as you popped open your drink can, you never got tired of the random conversations.
"Mine was when my high school drama class went to the Pantages Theatre and saw Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. So. Good." Pedro continued, "and Bellie's was..."
"Beatrix Potter's house, Year 4, Mrs. Anderson's class," Bella said as they shot a finger gun in your direction. "I still have the Tom Kitten magnet on the fridge at home."
"Niagara Falls," the camera operator added matter of factly pulling open a bag of chips.
"All very cool," you said, shifting slightly in your seat trying to think of your answer. "Ok, well my favorite field trip was probably the time we went to this big history museum in the middle of the city," You paused for a moment, the thought not lost on you that the facade of the "Wyoming Museum of Science and History"
was peaking through the trees.
"There's just something super magical about museums when you're a little kid," Bella said
"Right?!" you agreed, "I don't know, I'm still pretty obsessed with them to be honest," you began rambling without realizing, "They are actually a really good place for a date, ya know, it's pretty low pressure but still way fun. The fact that you have to talk kinda quietly and be close to each other is a bit sexy. Oh, and I think it's really fun trying to impress each other with random facts and, yeah..." you trail off as if lost in a memory.
"Is this coming from experience?" Pedro gently said, snapping you back to reality.
"Yeah… that's probably a story for another time..." you said, falling silent and hoping that another time would never come. You really didn't feel like sharing your past relationship failures to everyone and you continued to sit there wishing someone would talk about something else.    After a moment or two of silence you heard, "Did you know that I went to a postcard museum once? Yeah, it was nothing to write home about..." they said in their most deadpan delivery. You bit your lip as a giggle tumbled out and joined the rest of the laughter amongst the group. You glanced over at Bella so thankful that they had sensed exactly what you had needed.
The following day shooting wasn't due to happen until later in the afternoon and a few people were getting together to go on a hike to Twin Falls Bridge. The air was much colder than usual that morning so you doubled up on your layers. It seemed like everyone from production was huddled together outside and you quickly joined them as Bella pulled you into the group.
"Hi!" Bella beamed with their brilliant smile and
"Hey Roo! Nice camera," you pointed out, knowing full well that they took photos of everything.  You had gotten into the habit of calling Bella, "BellaRoo” or just “Roo” and you definitely noticed them smirking whenever you used the nickname, almost as if they were proud of the fact that they had the honor of earning one. Bella shrugged, "You know me, always documenting the pretty things," They pointed the camera in your direction as you hid your face with your hands, the flush in your cheeks warming your chilled skin.
"Oh god! That was so bad."
"Yeah, it really wasn't my best," Bella laughed in agreement. The hike was beautiful but you were so unbelievably cold. You realized that your shivering must have been more profound than you thought when Bella bounded over to you holding out a jacket.
"I'm totally not ok with you freezing to death," they smirked coyly.
"Oh is that so?" you said playing along, "Afraid you'll have to find someone else to bring you all your drinks or something?"
"Yeah something like that," Bella tossed you the jacket, "and plus all the paperwork is just so annoying."
“Are you sure? Aren't you going to freeze now?”
“I’m a hundred percent sure,” they smiled, “And Pedro will probably be over here in 30 seconds offering me his jacket anyway,” they added with a slight chuckle.
“Ok, well thank you,”you chuckled. You savored the soft scent of honey and citrus that lingered on the collar as you let its warmth encase your body, “I’ll wash it tonight and get it back to you tomorrow. I promise” you added as you fiddled with the zipper and realized your hands were officially numb.
“You can keep it. You know, so I don't have to find someone to replace your ass…” Bella said as they reached down and hooked the zipper into place and slid it up for you. They then proceeded to cup your hands in theirs and brought them to their lips, and gently used their warm breath to relieve your discomfort.
“Really? But it’s this your favorite jacket? I mean I see you wear it all the time.” You stated, doing your best to sound normal  even though every fiber of your being had exploded into a million pieces at the intimacy of the moment.
“I like it on you,” they said in between breaths,, “Cuz, you know it uh, it goes with your...” Bella stammered and dropped your hands as they took a step back, “...your uh, your face.” they awkwardly gestured at your face. You couldn’t tell if Bella was actually nervous or if they were just being funny with you. Either way, you felt somewhat relieved when you saw Pedro running up the trail unzipping his jacket, any awkward tension between you two was instantly swept away by your laughter and Bella’s “I told you so” look.
You were happy to be back at base camp, a week out in nature was so nice but you had missed the coziness of the community in the city. You and Bella had put together a scrapbook full of plants and polaroid's from the past week and you couldn't help but smile at the photos, losing yourself in the memories before heading out the door for the day.
Tumblr media
You took your usual walk from the production apartments to base camp stopping by the local coffee shop to pick up the kid’s assorted drinks. As you rounded the final corner and crossed the security barricade you felt your phone buzzing in your pocket. You glanced down at your watch and saw the message from the AD, scenes had been moved around and they would be needing Bella  in hair and makeup sooner than planned. You stopped by the crew trailer, tossed your bag into your locker and texted Bella.
Tumblr media
You made your way over to Bella’s trailer and sat on the steps to wait for them. You really did not enjoy when schedules were moved around at the last minute, the anxiety of reaching out and locating the required parities and potentially ruining their plans was not a fun aspect of the job. However you were glad it was Bella today, nothing ever seemed to truly inconvenience them, plus seeing them first thing in the morning always seemed to make the morning light shine a bit brighter.  You didn't have to wait long, Bella showed up right when they said they would.
“Hi hi hi!” they exclaimed as they rushed past you up the steps and disappeared in the trailer for four seconds to drop their bag off before jumping back down, “Let’s go!” they said, grabbing their coffee with a smile as you quickly radioed over to the MUAH team to let them know Bella was on the way. On your walk over you passed by the breakfast spread that was being laid out and you snagged a couple pieces of toast and handed one over to Bella.
“Thanks! Hey did you know in ancient Rome they used to drop a piece of toast into their wine for good health?”
“What?” you replied somewhat thrown off at the randomness of their question.
“Yeah! That’s why we call it “raising a toast”.” they said excitedly, their face eagerly waiting for your response.
“Ohhh no way! That’s pretty cool actually,” you smiled at Bella, “when did you become an expert in obscure historical facts?”
“Oh, you know, I'm just full of interesting facts, can't help it, I was just born that way.” that cheeky grin appearing instantly across their face.
“Ok what else you got then? Since you’re such a natural,” You smirked, egging Bella on.
“Australia is wider than the moon.” they replied instantly and matter of factly.
You nodded your head while trying your best to hold back a smile, “ Your family must be so proud of this God given talent.” Bella just shrugged and threw their hands up as entered hair and makeup and disappeared with a quick wave.
You were going over the rest of the day’s schedule with the AD when lunch was called and everyone scattered like ants in all directions to spend their time in various ways. After grabbing a snack you found some secluded chairs and popped your buds in your ears and selected your goto playlist. You were so zoned out that it startled you when a cassette tape landed in your lap. You paused your  music as you looked over to see Bella crashing down in the seat next to you out of breath.
“You are ok?!”
“Yeah, I just ran from my trailer and back to get that.” they said, pointing to the tape, “I made it for you and I wanted you to have it for the weekend.”
“Um, what? You made me an actual mixed tape? I'm sorry, I was unaware that it was 1987!” you said in amusement as you glanced down at the insert covered in Bella’s handwriting and doodles.
“Oh stop it!” Bella laughed as they hit your leg in jest. “Pedro showed me how to do it! And I know they have a tape player in those ancient production flats so you have no excuse. It's just some songs that I think are vitally important for you to experience.”
“Well if it's of vital importance I will not let you down.” You promised as you slid the tape safely into the pocket of your jacket.
“Good,” Bella replied happily as they tucked their legs up on the chair and opened their water. It felt good just having Bella around. The way they seemed to calm the air yet electrify it at the same time was something that you wished you could bottle and take with you everywhere, just to have the sense of them around at all times.
“And thank you Roo, nobody’s ever made anything for me before, it's really cool.”
“Really?! I find that hard to believe,”
“Oh no its absolutely the truth! To be honest, no one ever really stuck it out long enough to care I guess. After all the trying and failing that I've done, I've realized that the common factor in it all has been me and that I must just be hard to love. I’ve grown to accept the fact that I'm destined to be alone,” you glanced over at Bella who was looking at you with those eyes that seemed to know your pain and offer you comfort all at the same time, “Ah, don't look at me like that, its fine, I’m fine, I swear,” you chuckled awkwardly, “Some people just aren't special in that kind of way i guess.”
"That's bullshit! There is totally someone out there for you and they will end up proving to everyone who made you feel unloved that they were so fucking wrong." Bella's eyes seemed to darken as they started intently into yours. You could tell that they were being serious with their words, something you only really noticed when they were working through stuff with Pedro. Just then the AD's voice bellowed out that principal actors were needed back for makeup checks.
"And who knows, maybe they're going to be a lot easier to find than you think." Bella softly smiled as they handed you their water and slowly backed away into the crowd that was forming. "You're fucking special. In the best way. Don't forget that!" Bella shouted and smiled as they disappeared into the swarm of people. A smile burst onto your face and you quickly buried your face in your hands knowing that you were turning red despite the amused laughter. Why were they so good at this? Allowing a person to be seen and to feel understood. The feeling that was pulling in your chest was somewhat new to you, and it felt like something stronger than gravity.

mlm charlie walker hc's!!
(some nsfw sprinkled in, as well as homophobia mentioned once, very lightly)
Tumblr media
charlie had never dated a man (or anyone), or even really thought of it before you. so meeting you for the first time left him VERY conflicted. he had lived his whole life under the impression that he was straight, he had never thought or felt any other way, so why was it different because of you?
but despite that, he didn't try to distance himself or anything like most people would, he actually wanted to be closer. hangout with you more, talk to you more, even just look at you more to try to figure out what draws him to you so much. there's just something about you that he finds so.. enthralling. he did doubt his feelings at one point, thinking that he only thought of you as this really really cool guy he wanted to spend time with.
at some point, he decided to really put some thought into it. he wouldn't mind it, hugging you, kissing you, listening to you talking about whatever you felt like. the other way around, too. soon enough, he began to think about you all the time. even fantasizing about you when he'd touch himself.
once he had finally, truly decided to be honest with himself, he faced his next problem. what if you were straight? what if he read everything all wrong, like the way you'd compliment his hair or taste in movies. were you just being polite? because of this, he decided to (discreetly) ask around. by asking around, i mean stalking you on social media to see if any of your celebrity crushes were men or to see if you had explicitly stated that you liked men.
no matter what he finds, he's clearly not gonna make the first move. so, once you finally do, he's pretty much jumping with excitement (which he does in fact do once he gets home). the whole first date, whatever it is you're doing together, his internally screaming at himself to not fuck up.
but once you finally decide to make it official? a lot of his worries go away. he's more excited then nervous, wondering what this new relationship has in store.
something he found out quickly though? being the little spoon is way better than hugging a pillow all night long and pretending that it's you. especially if you play with his hair and squeeze him nice and tight.
and when he first started liking you, he wondered what his friends would think about it. they all turned out to be way more supportive than he initially thought, except trevor.. you can't tell me that he's not one of the most bigoted people around (no offence to nico tortorella though, i fear him).
anywho, obviously, movie dates!! at a theatre or your home, he doesn't care at all. at home, your nice and snuggled up on the couch with some popcorn, candy, soda or hot chocolate (it depends on the season). he loves being all wrapped up in blankets, hugging onto you while watching classic horror films together. and at some point, you ended up falling asleep with your limbs tangled together and a couple pieces of popcorn scattered on the ground (the bowl got tipped over 💔)
nsfw
now, when it comes to sex, he doesn't know what he's doing. at all. no clue how to suck dick. kind of scared of being penetrated. he would try it once, and definitely wouldn't enjoy it. so he'd prefer fucking you.
help him out with sucking your cock, take it slow with him. he'll figure out his way around it, you both learn how good he is with his tongue. he'd be sucking the tip of your cock, his tongue swirling around it and his big eyes looking up at you. he just wants to make you feel good, and once he gets the hang of it, trust me, he makes you feel good.
also! you go to movie theaters together often, you always get seats in the back. if your sure enough that you wont bother anybody, you, very quietly, give each other hand jobs. not once have you gotten caught. but charlie does really struggle to stay quiet.

hello! so i’m wondering if i’m sending this in correctly but i’m just gonna trust that i am. so literally august 30th i had a realization that there is no 3d vs 4d. i am not a human just doing what they have to do nor are things required of me because there is only consciousness (or self? not going to trip over the wording) and then all early morning, i’m talking about up until 5 AM, i read all of the submissions in the understanding concepts tag and boy oh boy. so many bombs were dropped and i just? i had to laugh when i read some of my old diary entries; my gosh i was so cute and deep into it. i realized that i was being Vanessa and actively trying to become someone else and obviously this doesn’t work. realizing that it’s not about changing the dream but to realize you are dreaming in the first place; to become lucid. then i realized what i could apply this to and it just hit me like a ton of bricks.
so as a shifter (you know the whole “reality shifting” thing), something i regularly do is “make scripts”. it’s quite fun to start from scratch and make all kinds of backgrounds with different families and just coming from different walks of life. even if i script something “undesirable” i never care too much about it because i see it for what it is—i know it’s not as deep and if i don’t like it, i can just change the script. so then i thought, “hey, what if Vanessa is a script too?” and i really started to think: “Why not treat Vanessa the same way you treat other scripts; other versions of yourself?” because i will literally come up with a story (as the observer, just picking a new character) and this character could have the hardest life and the most prominent obstacles and i feel absolutely no way about it, just a “yeah, i think that would be cool to experience.” and all i’m thinking is like, “bro..then what makes Vanessa so different from these scripts? from these people you make with these backstories? and then discard when you don’t care for ‘em anymore?”
and that, that’s something i’m just probing. along with letting Vanessa think every thought and feel everything; she’s perfect and she’s in her own little movie playing her part as she was designed to. I, as the observer, would send poor Vanessa on a goose chase of trying to realize things when she’s just like, “what do you mean it’s not real? i’m in it! and i see it, and i feel it! and this happened!” like if you were to step into a movie and told the characters about the problem not being real, they would look at you like you were crazy. they don’t have that luxury, but I do—because i’m not the characters, I AM.
sorry for the ramble, i am just like a kid in a candy store. i just wanna disbelieve i was ever Vanessa, and i am excited to do that. thank you!
Thank you for sharing your thought process, I'm sure it will help other Vanessas too. I know exactly what you mean. This is what can make LOA a struggle because it's basically telling people who don't understand what their true self is, to deny the ego's reality while identifying AS ego and that often results in a LOT of mental confusion and torture (and no actual desired results because all that effort is the opposite of our true being which is effortless) - GOSH ego is trying to tell itself that something isn't real when it so very obviously is because ego is part of the world! It's like stepping into any fictional world and telling the characters they're not real - but to them, it IS real, it's the only world they know of.
Keep disbelieving and see what happens :)

Could I request for a fluff of bf jaehyun making his s/o jealous as a joke and s/o gets her revenge by making him jealous too? Hehe
Jealous | Jaehyun
Genre: romance, fluff
Paring: Boyfriend!Jaehyun x Reader
Word Count: 1700
A/N:  Hi! Thank you for requesting! I literally had so much fun writing this so I hope you enjoy it! <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sitting on the couch and watching a movie with your boyfriend, Jaehyun, was a typical Friday night for the both of you. It gave you both a chance to finally relax and unwind at the end of a long week. This week, a new movie just came out on Netflix, in which your biggest celebrity crush plays a role in. Jaehyun is almost always down to watch anything, so he didn’t ask any questions before getting into the movie. But about five minutes in, he knew that they were the sole reason why you wanted to watch it.
But as a good boyfriend, he’s totally fine with your little celebrity crushes and will watch or listen to anything they are in, as long as it means he gets to spend time with you. But an hour into the movie, he decides he can’t take it anymore. This movie might be the worst thing his eyes have ever had the disadvantage of seeing.
“Y/n. This movie is so bad, can we please watch or do anything else?” Jaehyun says, pausing the movie and sitting up to look at you.
“It’s not bad! You just haven’t given it a proper chance yet, it’s probably just about to get good.”
“We are an hour in!”
You don’t have anything to say to support your argument. You know it’s bad, and the only thing keeping your attention is how good they look. “Ok, It’s not their best movie.”
“No. And It’s good that you can admit that, that means we are making progress.”
You can’t help but laugh at that. “Ok but listen, what if I meet them one day and they ask me if I watched this movie? I obviously have to say yes so that means that we have to finish it babe.” You say with your best puppy dog eyes.
Your attempts at being cute makes Jaehyun laugh, which is not what you were going for, but he agrees to finish the movie so it’s fine.
While the movie finished, Jaehyun’s mind wandered. You crushes have never been a problem with him. He’s not the insecure type but as he loses another hour of his life to bad cinema, he decides that it would be fun to give you a little taste of your own medicine as a joke.
When next Friday rolls around he tells you that he has a movie in mind for you two to watch. Throughout the week he has been subtly mentioning Vivienne Foster, an actress around his age that he finds attractive but has never really gave any mind to. Until he was trying to find the perfect person to make you jealous of for his little joke.
The movie starts and you are pretty excited about it. It came out about a year ago and got good reviews, but you just never got around to actually watching it. About thirty minutes into the movie, Vivienne appears on the screen and immediately your mind starts connecting the dots, but you think your being silly because he isn’t the type to want to watch something based on who’s in it.
You continue watching the movie until a scene come on where she is walking in slow motion in a tight black dress. You hear Jaehyun whisper next to you, “woah!”
You pause the movie and look at him. “Woah? What do you mean woah??” You say, not really mad but confused because Jaehyun never acts like that.
“Oh did I say that out loud?” He says with a smirk, seeing you jealous is surprisingly very entertaining for him.
“Are you really trying to make me jealous? Because it’s not working.”
“Ok then let’s keep watching.”
“Ok.” You say as you cross your arms after you hit the play button. You couldn’t help yourself from looking over at Jaehyun every once in a while just to see his reactions. You knew he was playing a game but seeing him like this was making you feel some type of way.
Eventually Jaehyun could tell that you were watching him more than the movie, so he stopped it.
“Why’d you stop it? I was enjoying it.” You say, trying to be unbothered.
“Uh-huh, well even if my attempts at trying to make you jealous ‘failed’, I’m tired of pretending like I have eyes for any other person besides you.”
“Your sweet words won’t make me forget this Jaehyun.”
“Maybe these will?” He says as he pelts you with a thousand little kisses.
“No they won’t” You say giggling.
You were actually going to let it go. It was just a little joke and he made it up to you the next day with flowers and some cupcakes from your favorite bakery. But then your ex texted you out of nowhere telling you that he’s in town and would love to catch up at ‘delight cafe’. The same cafe that Jaehyun goes to every weekday to get a cup of coffee.
Who are you to say no to the perfect opportunity for revenge when it presents itself?
Jake was your second ever boyfriend from high school. You two ended things on good terms and have remained friends, which you’re really happy about because he’s a good person, just not your person.
You had even introduced Jaehyun to Jake a while ago, but they didn’t exactly hit it off like you hoped they would. Jake just happens to be very touchy, he’s like that with everyone he knows, and of course, Jaehyun wasn’t too fond of that. It’s actually the only time you had ever seen him even a little bit jealous, which is why this is perfect.
You text Jake and say that Tuesday is a good day for you to meet up.
At around eleven on Tuesday you start to head over to the delight cafe. Jake’s hotel is a not too far away but you are still able to get there first. You order an Americano and find the perfect table to sit at, where Jaehyun will notice you and Jake sitting there right away.
A twinge of guilt washes over you as you wait for Jake to come. After all, his joke was not that serious, and you weren’t even mad, but it’s kinda too late to back out now.
Jake arrives five minutes later and he comes over to you before he orders and gives you a hug. “Oh my god, I can’t believe I haven’t seen you in so long, you look great y/n!”
“Thank you, so do you!”
He goes back towards the entrance so that he can order and when he comes back with his coffee, he sits directly in front of you. You two have the usual small talk of two old friends that haven’t seen each other in forever.
“Hey, you know that tattoo design that I showed you when we were like sixteen?”
“Did you finally get it?”
“Well I changed it a bit but the basic outline is still the same. Do you want to see it?” Jake says as he raises the sleeve of his left arm.
“You actually got it! It looks so good.” You say as you subconsciously reach over to his arm and start to lightly trace the tattoo while admiring it.
You were so engrossed in his tattoo that you didn’t notice Jaehyun walk into the cafe. And you didn’t notice Jaehyun notice you sitting down, caressing another mans arm. And you also didn’t notice Jaehyun walk over to you until he was standing right beside you.
His presence makes you to jump which causes you to fling your coffee right out of your hand, making a mess on the floor.
“Hey babe.” Jaehyun says, clearly not happy.
“Hi Jae! I was just-” You were about to explain everything because this looks way worse than what you were intending. But then Jaehyun sits down next to you, puts his arm around you and gives you the biggest kiss that lasted way too long. He keeps his arm around you, gives you another quick kiss before finally acknowledging Jake with a simple nod.
“Jaehyun right?” Jake says trying his best to diffuse a very awkward encounter.
“Yeah, nice to see you again Jake. Is there a reason why my girlfriend had her hands all over you?”
“Oh! I was just showing off my tattoo.” Jake says while lifting up his sleeve again to show Jaehyun.
Jaehyun doesn’t say anything, he just nods, which is very unlike him. You had never seen Jaehyun like this and you really didn’t know how to act. Thinking about it now, you didn’t know what you were expecting to happen trying to make Jaehyun jealous but now all you wanted to do was get out of this situation as quickly as possible.
Luckily, Jake was thinking the exact same thing. He cleaned up your coffee for you, probably to busy himself, but when he was done, he came up with an excuse to leave. You knew his excuse was a complete lie but you were very thankful for it. Jaehyun watched Jake until he was completely out of sight.
“Did I give you the reaction you were hoping for?” Jaehyun says smiling.
“You knew what I was trying to do? Why did you have to make it so awkward?” You say playfully hitting Jaehyun.
“You’re the one that created the situation. What was I supposed to do, feel up his biceps too?”
You can’t help but smile at him, “You didn’t have it all figured out right away, you were jealous for at least a few minutes.”
“Nah, I know how obsessed you are with me so I figured it out pretty quickly. Plus nobody could ever compare to me so I know there’s nothing to be jealous of.”
“Nobody can compare to you?”
“No, and nobody can compare to you either ok? You’re my girl and I love you.”
“I love you too.”
“I know.” Jaehyun says matter-of-factly as he kisses you on your temple.
“We should probably apologize to Jake.”
“He deserved it.”
“He didn’t do anything Jae!”
“I know, but I just don’t like him.”

Okay, hear me out:
youtube
So this episode / song from MLP. If you're familiar with it, you know that the premise is the Mane Six are off having a wonderfully successful friendship retreat and reflecting on how happy they are for their friendships with each other, but meanwhile, Starlight and Trixie are back home in a lot of trouble because Starlight has been literally bottling up her frustrations with Trixie all day until they're accidentally released, infecting a trio of nearby ponies and causing them to act on that anger and frustration in Starlight's place. The Mane Six end up failing their retreat because they were so distracted talking about how perfect their friendships are, and Starlight ends up only able to get the trio who are attacking Trixie under control by expressing her frustrations herself. Moral of the episode is friendships aren't perfect and it's better to talk about problems than ignore them and let them fester until they're out of control, yada yada, anyway.
Trolls.
Specifically, Poppy and Viva, and the Brozone Bros. I think it goes without saying that Poppy and Viva would fit into the Mane Six's roles. They're both the types to think their bond as sisters is just perfect and nothing can go wrong, especially after all they went through during Band Together. They've moved past their issues, and now everything is going to be perfect until the end of time! Simple as that! Except, obviously, life isn't that simple.
Meanwhile, the Bros taking on Starlight and Trixie's storyline. Now, one thing I didn't mention earlier is that one of Starlight's main motivations for bottling up her emotions is that she's scared of losing her closest friend because of them. I think this applies perfectly to the Bros, because, after the events of Band Together, they're all probably on edge and worried about being the one to accidentally start another fight and cause them to split up all over again. As such, really any of the brothers could take on Starlight's role for that reason alone. But there's one other factor that makes me tend towards one specific brother to take on that role--and no, it's not Branch.
The thing with Branch, along with JD, Clay, and Bruce, is that they're all very open about their frustrations. The three older brothers are at each other's throats constantly once they're all together in the movie, and Branch doesn't hesitate to tell them all off and storm out when they've hurt him. The only brother who we haven't really seen act on anger, and as a matter of fact is seen trying to dissipate the other brothers' fights, is Floyd.
Floyd is the sensitive one. He's the quiet, shy, sweet one. He's understanding, he's never angry, he's always going to be the voice of reason. His very role in the band/family is to bottle up his emotions.
Speaking from experience, there's only so long you can keep up that kind of facade before you're just going to snap under the pressure of it all and lose your shit.
So, yeah. Floyd takes on Starlight's role, getting progressively more and more annoyed with his brothers but trying to keep it under wraps, only to ultimately, inevitably fail. Honestly, while it might make more sense for one of the three older brothers to take on Trixie's role, and he the one person his anger is ultimately directed towards, I honestly like the idea better of that role belonging to Branch. After all, Floyd and Branch are meant to get along the best of the brothers--but that certainly doesn't mean they won't have their issues, too. And maybe Branch is too excited to have his favorite brother back to be willing to acknowledge those problems right now, resulting in Floyd's annoyance with him.
Tl;dr: Just let Floyd lose his shit. Just this once, let him blow off some steam. He deserves it, as a treat.

Regression
Contain +warning: Mentions a SFW ONLY (DO NOT SEXUALIZE THIS POST) caregiver age regression dynamic.
A/N: I was extremely tired while writing this, I am also not a great writer. These are my headcannons on how each of the brothers would react to MCs' age regression. These are all my headcannons. It's not proofread, + probably bad writing, plus my first post, lol
*MC struggles with age regression, but when they do show signs of sleeping into it, the boys are there to make MC as comfortable as possible*
Lucifer
-He is use to being in charge so taking care of MC isn't super difficult
-He enjoys the title of caregiver as opposed to other names
-Lucifer adores playing with MCs hair it relaxes him just being in the moment with MC
-Claims he doesn't but actually loves MCs favorite cartoon (he has a reputation to think of lmao)
-Will constantly reassure MC that they are amazing and that he loves them
Mammon
-Insist he must be referred to as "King Mammon the great", but will melt at any title MC calls him
-Refers to MC as his favorite tiny human when they are regressed
-Mammon gets a little caught up and buys a bunch of regression gear the moment he find out (100% got in trouble with lucifer for it)
-Mammon loves cartoons on his own but watching them with MC makes him 10 times happier
-He feels safe to let himself relax completely while caring for MC
-Loves to play cars, or even dolls with MC as long as they're happy
Leviathan
-Keep like a million blankets of different textures and softness, as well as suffies to ensure MC is comfortable
-Plays "little kid" games with MC, typically easy going animal games and gets excited when MC points out their favorite animal
-Constantly panics that he doesn't have everything to properly care for MC
-Blushes to death when MC says they love him, and refers to him as the best caregiver ever
-Likes to snuggle with MC and watch cartoons together or slice of life anime
-Will keep helpful regression items in a special spot/storage so MC has everything they need
Asmodeus
-Asmoeus definitely knew what regression was before MC told him about it, and loved the idea of being a caregiver
-Asmo definitely bought a few pacifiers in different styles in case MC was an age regressor
-Loves playing dress up with MC especially when they are regressed
-1000000% loves playing with dolls whether human or animal ones he loves the drama him and MC come up with
-Asmo loves to watch Disney movies with MC (Asmo has a soft spot for princess movies obviously lol)
-Asmo will also make sure all of MCs stuffies get a kiss goodnight and wishes them sweet dreams
-Asmo will also keep a cool nightlight just incase MC gets scared of the dark
-Asmo has no preferred nickname he enjoys both femme and masculine ones as long as MC feels comfortable

Satan
-Satan didn't understand Regression at first and was very confused by it but since it was MC he was willing to try it out
-1 million percent reads bedtime stories to MC with lots of big gestures and voices to make the story come to life
-He reads into they both fall asleep leaving the book on his chest while snuggling MC
-Satan buys children books of all kinds, mainly ones with pictures or kids first chapter books, which he keeps on a special self
-Definitely refers to MC as his little kitten viewing them as cute and soft as a kitten
Beelzebub
-Beelzebub is use to caring for Belphegor so helping MC regression is not a problem for him
-Beel loves to make MC's comfort meals while making himself a portion too
-Will always try and make hot chocolate even if its just for himself
-Would offer to drink out of a sippy cup/bottle if it would make MC more comfortable regress in front of him
-He 100000% says here comes the airplane
-Beel loves to snuggle with MC especially if they regress close to bed time
-Beel will softly hum to himself when he thinks MC has fallen asleep to enjoy the moment
-Beel likes the title bubba
- Would honestly play any game MC wants out color with them although he will always bring it back to food
Belphegor
-Struggles a bit to get use to caring for MC, but tries his best for MC
-Keeps a blanket for MC that matches his own
-Loves when MC regresses near bedtime, means double the snuggles and the easier it is to fall asleep together
-Keeps small snacks like gummies near his bed for MC to snack on

Sometimes it really jumps out at me that oh wow I am trans and wow cis people really are cis (and trans women really do be women) Because like.
I heard Amanda Bynes had a ton of dysphoria having to dress up and be treated as a boy for she's the man which was like oh wow ok yeah i guess i can see how for someone who is not a guy being treated as one even for an acting role would be dysphoric. And like despite all the failings of that movie middle schooler me saw that movie and was like that is the dream. Pretend to be a boy. Amazing.
And all the movies where the teen girls stuff theirs bras and the "bosoms!" bit from Anne of green gables that I was always just ???? Why would you??? But apparently they really do want bigger chests and are excited for them. That women who get masectomies for cancer get reconstructive surgery to give them their chests back because a flat chest gives them dysphoria.
And like. There was someone at choir who just like vehemently rejected the suggestion of wearing the tux/"men's option" when I mentioned it as an alternative to the dress she didn't like. And like. It was the same reaction I have to the suggestion to wear a dress.
And all the hellish aspects of puberty I went through the transfemme friends excitedly talk about getting and wanting because those are desirable gender affirming things for them.
And just. The whole "the only trans people are trans women" narrative from before I knew there were other options was just yeah I'm with the guys on this one why would someone want to be a woman, (and like, the problem is those guys don't want to be women either so it runs into the same brain wall of can't fathom someone making that choice) but I can totally imagine actually wanting to be a guy. And how like, when approaching the concept with cis people you gotta frame it as them being the gender they are because they don't want to be another one and can find it really hard to imagine wanting to be (aka if you're running into a wall with cis men who are only aware of trans women bring up trans men, because they absolutely get dysphoria of being mistaken for a girl and misgendered as a girl. Like so much of toxic masculinity is weaponised misgendering).
But it's like. Ah yes the fact so many things I find incredibly dysphoric others find gender affirming and the reverse also being true is always just a little world tilting bc oh wow right not everyone hates/loves this gender thing, but also like nice confirmation that if there was any doubt of me being trans that no in fact your experiences are not considered the default normal and that is very much a trans thing.
Also tangent associated thought like. There is a whole "woman dressed as a man and lived as a man for xyz reason but wasn't actually a trans man/masc" which like ok I can accept that there are women who for brief periods dressed as men in order to achieve some goal or something but like... seeing how cis people respond to being miagendered that is causes dysphoria even short term and knowing as a trans person how hellish dysphoria is like... why isn't that an aspect in any of these discussions (and if it is why have i not heard it yet)? Like dressing as and being treated as a gender you are not for years or decades or the entire rest of your life is hell. So why would someone willingly do that? Like obviously we can't ask the historical figures that and we shouldn't say whether or not they experienced dysphoria from dressing either way (unless there's like actual documented proof) but like idk. This kind of just occurred to me and now I'm like. A) the default assumption always seems to be this is a cis woman presending to be a man unless we have explicit proof to the contrary and even then ignore that to say she's a woman but then B) how have I basically never heard any reports on how these "cis women" hated being misgendered (like I'm sure there were some and I would love if we could find these reports bc it would really help highlight the difference between dressing up as a man bc women couldn't xyz and trans man dressed as a man and when found out used the excuse of only pretended to be a man for xyz to avoid being punished for you know being trans)

I'm thinking about Bob' Burgers again
I've been thinking about Linda and Bob Belcher a lot lately. Bob's Burgers is my favorite show and I've noticed that everyone who watches the show shares most of the same opinions on things (almost all of them positive, very few being negative) but one thing I've seen quite a few people say is that Bob and Linda aren't good parents. They say Bob doesn't care about anything except the restaurant and Linda favors Gene and is the typical "boy mom" and as a kid whose parents are those exact things I have thoughts about it.
At no point in the show does Bob ever put anything over the well-being of his family, but he does it in subtle ways. We obviously know the restaurant is his dream, but from the movie, you can tell he cares more about it being a source of livelihood for his family, keeping a roof over their heads, and keeping them safe. He did not hesitate to follow Linda into the Mole Hill when he saw the kids' bikes. once he realized he might be taking their childhood from them like his dad did at his restaurant he didn't hesitate to fire them so they could go live their lives and have a good childhood and he didn't hesitate to go get them from the weird old people's pot farm. That episode where Gene has a bully and he tries his hardest to help him out without hesitation. The Thomas Edison episode where they think Tina's hurt and he got to her the fastest despite being portrayed as someone who hates physical activity and never does it. The stone the witch game he plays with the kids where they're throwing pillows at him and jumping all over him while he's reading and smiling so huge because he just loves having his kids around. He got his legs waxed to help Tina through her fear! It wasn't "you're too young" or "that's a stupid thing to worry about" it was "it's your body and this is your worry and also I don't know how shaving works so I'll help you through waxing"
And Linda? Linda so very obviously loves Gene but I don't think she favors him or has that toxic boy mom mentality. When Gene started dating Courtney she was so excited for him to have a new person in his life who could see how cool he was. But when Louise fell into the crime hole? The only thing she cared about was her kids safety. When Tina and Bob told her they got into that accident in the parking lot with Jimmy Pestos car and her first reaction was to scream in terror and concern for her daughter. She loves everything her kids do, she supports them in all their ventures and runs into danger for them at the drop of a dime. Her kids feel safe enough to come to her when they have problems. She brought Louise to the mother-daughter seminar because she couldn't understand why Louise didn't love her and she just wanted to be able to spend time with her and bond with her and once she found the right way to do it she put in the most effort. She sacrificed her valentine's day with Bob to help Tina after she got her heart broken. She's able to bond so easily with Gene because they love all the same things, they're basically the same person, but that doesn't mean that he's her favorite. It means they like the same things and are both more open with physical and verbal affection. Tina and Louise aren't like that and she respects them and that quality and she adapts to it and loves them the way they need and like to be shown love.
My point is that Bob and Linda are top tier parents and are tied for best tv parents with Gomez and Morticia Addams. They still make mistakes but they love their kids and each other and they're like the most functional fictional family I've ever seen, despite being chaotic and weird. There will be no Belcher slander on this blog or like ever

Ugh all the Evermore/Midnights/Joever discourse this morning has been excellent and set my brain on fire and I love discussing all the themes and motifs etc. In her music!
The Evermore marriage stuff is really sitting with me today. I know the music is only a glimpse into a moment and isn’t an eyewitness account of facts but rather an exploration of feelings etc. But to be parasocial for a minute, it just really is fascinating how the topic of marriage/commitment is referenced almost giddily on Lover (I’d marry you with paper rings/the bridge of Lover/Wedding imagery in It’s Nice to Have A Friend).
Then on folklore, it’s like shit finally gets serious: one single thread of gold tied me to you (I have stated numerous times how much I’m obsessed with that line and implications), I want to give you my wild and a child, but is it enough if I could never give you peace? It’s like on Lover, the idea is exciting and new (ahem like when us plebes get engaged, not that I’m saying that’s what happened to them), then folklore a year later is when realizations set in when you’re starting to actually plan for that life. It’s no longer a hypothetical “one day” when that day is barreling towards you at a breakneck pace. She’s overjoyed by the idea of getting married on Lover, but understands on folklore that wedding =/= marriage/commitment, that there are very serious, very real implications in the act, and they’re also very scary. She wants to build a family with this person, but the implications of what that life will entail for them both are overwhelming. This is what I want, but is it fair of me to do so? (Obviously, the answer we believed at the time was, yes, because presumably her partner wanted it, too.)
Evermore like many of you pointed out paints marriage/commitment significantly darker, even under the guise of fictional characters. Marriage traps the protagonist in Ivy, it kills Este in No Body, No Crime, it scares the protagonist and breaks the heart of the subject in Champagne Problems, it crushes the spirit of the narrator of Tolerate It and Happiness, it’s elusive for the characters in Tis The Damn Season… It almost feels like she’s playing out the worst case scenarios of the fears from Peace through these songs. Am I going to get hurt? Am I going to hurt someone else? Are we falling into a trap of our own making? Are we bound to destroying each other like so many of those who came before us?
Obviously there’s no way to know how much of this was based on diaristic elements vs. what truly was inspired by the movies, shows and books she was consuming as she said at the time. However, to jump on the parasocial train for a minute, it then makes me wonder… If the question on Folklore was, is it enough if I could never give you peace? The characters in Evermore seem to indicate, no, it actually may not, and these are the different reasons why. Was it because she was scared from her own past experiences? (E.g. her previous relationships, her parents’ divorce, her best friend going through a divorce at that very moment, etc.) Or was her partner now giving her reason to doubt the commitment she so happily declared in Lover coming to pass?
Of course, with Renegade coming out the following year, it seems like there’s another piece of the puzzle in the commitment/marriage motifs: Are you really going to talk about timing in times like these? Is it your anxiety that’s stopping you from giving me everything, or do you just not want to? That’s a lot more damning. (In the sense of, painting the picture. Not damning in terms of judging people with struggles, just being clear!) She’s been working through her own fears and concerns through Folklore and Evermore and the conclusion she seems to have drawn is, yes, it’s still worth it, but now it seems perhaps her partner isn’t. The “or do you just not want to?” Always gave me pause, because it’s a moment of brutal honesty, wondering if her partner just isn’t ready, or doesn’t want to be, full stop. It’s clear that she’s ready for the next step (e.g. “is it insensitive of me to tell you to get your shit together so I can love you?”), but he appears to not be.
So it seems that at some point post-Lover but particularly post-Folklore, something has given her reason to feel anxious about marriage and what it entails. It could be her own experiences absolutely, but the lines in Renegade imply a little, er, direct input in the matter as well. She wasn’t the first renegade to need somebody (and get help), and now she’s holding her hand out to her partner to help him do the same so they can move forward on the plans they’ve been building since Lover. But the song leaves the resolution up in the air.
Then by the time we get to Midnights, the topic has a lot more shades of grey. There’s the obvious “All they keep asking me is if I’m going to be your bride/The only kind of girl they see is a one night or a wife,” in Lavender Haze, and to this day I still don’t think she’s rejecting the concept of marriage with that, but what she is saying is that it’s a sore point because she’s sick of being reduced to her marital status in the media. At the time, I assumed the frustration over the marital status was because (rightly) it’s infruriating for women to always be reduced to who they are married to and the children they produce, especially one as singularly successful on her own as Taylor is. Now, we can also assume with the benefit of hindsight (and Tree’s takedown of DeuxMoi) that it was also a very sore subject for her on a personal level, perhaps because it was looking more likely that she wasn’t going to be anyone’s bride anytime soon. Then You’re Losing Me later spells it out, that marriage was on the table, but seems like it was almost weaponized. I still think her spitting out “I wouldn’t marry me either,” isn’t coming from a place of self-loathing or insecurity, but an argument used against her about their future plans. It’s scathing and devastating in how it targets one of her deepest hurts, calling back right to how the album opened.
If I had to guess based on the albums, the trajectory of the topic goes I can’t wait to marry you -> The closer we get to it the more scared I am that I may destroy this -> Is this going to destroy us? -> Actually you may be the one destroying us.
(It does seem like there’s an obvious shift between folklore and evermore, and not to get too dark, but like many of you I wonder if the success of Folklore precipitated the fears and anxieties and hurt she sings about on Evermore, iykwim. Which becomes abundantly clear by Midnights.)
I don’t want to get ahead of myself, but I’m just feeling soooooo tingly about how these themes are going to be explored on TTPD, because I almost can’t see how they won’t be given what a big part of her life it was for years. I know she doesn’t owe us anything but… Taylor, we just want to talk.

Do you think it's okay that Tom now says he always wants to be in Spider-Man? The way he says he owes everything to Spider-Man, as if he had no career before or outside of this project, is so strange - what do you think of that? It seems to me that there is too much hatred on the Internet - both from fans and from critics towards Tom, even his team and loved ones are not even trying to convince him that he is important and talented outside of Spider-Man.
I mean, obviously Tom loves the Spiderman role very much. There's even an old video of his circulating around with him talking about how he would love to play Spiderman one day when he gets older lol 😆
youtube
So I'm happy that he loves to play the character.🥰
But you're right, it seems a very far cry different vibe from him saying in the past that if he's still playing Spiderman in his 30s, then there's a problem rofl 🤣 Sooo idk what happened lol 👀
Maybe Sony and Disney/Marvel showed him some negotiation contracts with a LOT of zeros on it lol 🤣🤭
I don't think it's realistic that Tom will ALWAYS play Spiderman though.... But hey, Michael Keaton just reprised his role as Batman in the Flash movie last year, and he's gotta be close to his 70s by now lol, so I guess anything is possible! 🤣
It seems to me that there is too much hatred on the Internet - both from fans and from critics towards Tom, even his team and loved ones are not even trying to convince him that he is important and talented outside of Spider-Man.
Ummm....I think that's a stretch. 🥴
Obviously, the Spiderman role has afforded Tom with a lot of money, fame, and just time to take off and do whatever he wants without the pressure of needing to book another role to stay afloat.
While I'm not sure he owes his ENTIRE career to playing Spiderman 🤔, he's obviously very grateful for the role, and feels indebted to those who helped out become a reality for him. Despite the annoyance that I'm sure an increase in fame has caused Tom, I'm sure for him, in his mind, the benefits have outweighed the cons, and plus, he for to meet the love of his life, his wifey gf Zendaya, on the set of that film. 😁🥰 Of COURSE it's going to be very special for him. 😊
The people close to Tom are very supportive of him and whatever he wants to do in life and in his career! 😊
He already said that he had some other "burgeoning projects" he's excited about in the bag, so where fans are getting the impression that he's only going to be playing Spiderman for the rest of his life is confusing to me. 🥴
But you're right, that this is a very different msg than the ones he's had prior. Maybe he was just trying to make Sony sweat a little bit and give an "I couldn't care less" vibe before lol 😆 Maybe it worked haha 😆

Books I Read for My SFF Class Rated from Worst to Best
clearly this is the most objective list ever obviously (jk this is based on how much I got from reading the text to how useful it was in context)
also while this syllabus included movies and tv shows, I am focusing on the books cause this is a book blog
19. Islands at the End of the World by Austin Aslan- The worst of the worst. Contains racist ideology and a magic system that makes no sense. This is a book clearly written by a white outsider about Hawai'i. I am also far too old for dystopias. One upside is that there were no random romances and it was about familial love.
18. Survive the Dome by Kosoko Jackson- Despite agreeing with the ideology of this book, this was truly a horrible reading experience. Poorly written, annoying and bland characters, and very inconsistent.
17. Blazewrath Games by - You wouldn't guess that a book that's essentially The World Cup with Dragons could be boring, but you'd be wrong. Nothing significant in this text rip.
16. Peter Pan by J M Barrie- Unfortunately, this book makes sense being included in this context of children's SFF so I can’t say it shouldn't be included, but this book was agonizing to read. Beautiful writing. And yet, some of the most racist and sexist content I have ever read in my life!
15. Charlotte's Web by EB White- Pretty painless to read and interesting to discuss in the context of sff literature cause uh, not generally a book I would categorize as such. I didn’t think our discussions were particularly notable and I would have preferred another text.
14. The Marrow Thieves by Cherie Dimaline- *sighs* There are some incredibly important concepts in this text but woof. Again, I am too old for dystopias but unexpectedly I had a real problem with the way women were written in this.
13. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L Frank Baum- Again, this is helpful in context of a children's fantasy class and it was fun to read in context as a Wicked fan. If I didn't know it from related media, this would be super forgettable.
12. Bunnicula by Deborah Howe and James Howe- Fun, and a fantastic audio but there wasn't much to talk about here in our class but there's potential. Very funny.
11. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by JK Rowling- I am dreading the class on this but I am very excited for the critical readings and it was exciting to re examine the text as an adult with the knowledge I have now. I do think that we could have done a magic school section with books responding to HP instead. Again, interesting in the context of the genre.
10. The Devil's Arithmetic by Jane Yolen- One of my classmates had a lot of issues with the portrayal of Judaism in this text, so ideally this would be replaced with a text written by an author who did more research.
9. Feed by MT Anderson- I did NOT like this but incredibly relevant and scary to think this was written about 20 years ago. Good for the syllabus, not good for me!
8. The Hobbit by JRR Tolkien- I didn't mind listening to this and it was another sensible inclusion. Occasionally boring but I'm supportive.
7. Haroun and the Sea of Stories by - I liked the perspective this book provided and it was a pretty fun read. I think this would work best as a readaloud text. It was also beneficial to read a book written by an author who wasn't American or British for comparison to the other texts.
6. A Wrinkle in Time by - Another classic that makes a lot of sense in its inclusion in the syllabus. Sparked really good conversations about the definition of genre. I enjoyed resisting this text as well, incredibly nostalgic for me.
5. Labyrinth Lost by Zoraida Cordova- A lot of fun! I love portal fantasies and this had a classic adventure but didn't feel trite at all. I actually enjoyed the love triangle and will consider reading the books later in the series.
4. American Born Chinese by Gene Luan Yang- This was a difficult book to read but it was incredibly rewarding. I had to sit with it a lot to process and I think the author asks really interesting questions. I would recommend this to most people.
3. Family Lore by Elizabeth Acevedo- Shockingly, the adult novel ranks 3 on my list. .. hmmm . . this was largely both because I loved it and hated many of the other books. Absolutely stunning as a novel, engaging, and downright magical. I love books centering family and slowly finding how much I enjoy multigenerational novels. However, it is interesting considering this class is about children's lit. . . I would highly recommend this to readers who want a story that isn't afraid to challenge normal.
2. Kindred (graphic novel) by Octavia Butler- I love Kindred and if this was the novel and not the graphic, it would be #1. An amazing book that does not stray from intense topics and makes history very accessible. The only time travel book I love. I adored presenting on this book and still believe Kindred is one of the best books I have read. Such a good inclusion on this syllabus.
1. Nimona by ND Stevenson- NIMONA MY BELOVED what is there to say. This is perfect for this class. It is certainly marketed to young adults, and uses elements of scifi and fantasy masterfully. Challenges conventions of the genre, asks the age old question of who is a monster and who is human. . .beautiful found family. . .funny as hell. Perfect.
