I try to keep my posts as objective and neutral as possible, but Loki S2 is giving me flashbacks of LoK and how it ended.
This show kicked the door open for queer representation. I've said it before: I'm an older fan. Seeking representation in the 90s and early 2000s was so so hard. It's STILL hard. But we've had many incredible victories since Korasami:

Maybe it's okay to hope. Hope is hard. It's harder to stay. I'm not expecting Disney to give us anything explicit, but every plotpoint between Loki and Mobius this season has been romantic friendship (yes, that is a thing) if not simply romance.
Perhaps, when everyone goes home one by one and the story nears its end, we can have a moment between Loki and Mobius that is just like Korra and Asami: ambiguous and explicit at once.

So going over the last episode.
We have Mobius being the one to ask Loki if he’s okay. Everyone else noticed something is weird but he’s the one that asks. And then when Loki starts being extremely weird it’s Mobius that grabs him by the shirt and is like “what the fuck?” (Except is Disney so he can’t say it).
Then Mobius is with Sylvie in that one “For you” shot that has plausible deniability.
Then afterward it’s Mobius that looks absolutely miserable. Look at Mr. stress eater is just holding a cup of coffee listlessly. B-15 checks on him but she’s so gentle like she knows his heart is broken. It’s Mobius who is depressed on the timeline while Sylvie looks fine. (In fairness to her she is not as prone to show emotions but she’s definitely seemed more upset throughout the show.)
In the end it’s a Mobius who waits and a Loki who remains. Hopefully Deadpool 3 helps- since Mobius is supposed to show up.
I also just imagine Tom calling Feige and being like- how gay can are we allowed to make this? “Okay fine we can’t say it explicitly but can we have them obviously pining for one another?”

Honestly, I don't get how people can think that Sylki won't be endgame. Are they forgetting that it's Disney? Or that the writer is a Sylki shipper? Let's be realistic. I agree that it would make zero sense, but this argument is lame, because we know Marvel doesn't care and they're capable of doing that. I wouldn't be surprised if they rushed it and pulled "actually Sylvie has been in love with him the entire time, but she's been hiding it, trying to push him away, because she thinks she doesn't deserve love. But she got over it now." Not to be rude, but I feel like everyone who believes that Sylki won't happen is delusional. I really want Lokius to happen, not Sylki, but even the idea of Sylki not happening is too good to be true. I feel like those leaks are true.
the leaks, which came from several people who claimed to have seen the entire season (and they all said the same thing), were correct about Marvel’s revealing that Mobius has 2 sons in episode five. I know it’s just a “rumor” and there’s no way to know if they really did see the entire season, but tbh I expect Marvel to pull the Sylki endgame in the finale (like how those leaks also said they would do that, getting Loki and Sylvie back together in the last episode).
if I had to guess, I’d say it’d go exactly the way you said, that Sylvie was always in love with Loki all along, but didn’t think she deserved to be loved, hence why she tried to push him away.
I would love to be wrong, but I guess we’re all finding out soon.
also I wouldn’t call anybody delusional for thinking Sylki won’t be endgame or that Lokius will be canon, unless it’s in a joking manner where I’m also making fun of myself. but in all seriousness, I don’t think anybody is ever “delusional” for having opinions about which direction the show will go based on what was actually showed so far in the series. because if this weren’t Disney, I’d say Lokius would absolutely go canon, after all those hints and everything they gave us so far. Sylki parting ways as friends and Lokius going canon as a couple are very highly unlikely, but it’s not entirely impossible either.
as for the writer, if you mean Eric Martin, dude’s a troll (and I say this with respect lol nothing against him, I’m sure he’s a good person with good sense of humor), he’s always liked both Sylki and Lokius posts because he knows fans monitor his likes and I fully believe he’s doing it on purpose just to (playfully) mess with the audience. so I wouldn’t take whatever he liked on social media as a “confirmation” of anything, not even his personal opinion about which ship he thinks is “better”.
*and even if he does personally ship Sylki, it’d still be unfair imo to assume he only made Sylki endgame solely because he personally liked the ship. if he’s a professional writer, I’d like to give him the benefit of the doubt and believe that he had other reasons behind his writing choices that had nothing to do with his personal feelings, since after all, the characters belong to Marvel, not him. so his personal preferences shouldn’t be the only factor in deciding which direction things should go. (to be clear, what I mean is: it’s perfectly okay — and it is a good thing — to write a story based on how you, the writer, personally prefer, but I don’t think he’d make Sylki endgame just because he liked it without any other reasons involved when it’s still Marvel’s show and he was hired by Marvel, not his show, if that makes sense.)

What's another ship from a different fandom that reminds you of johnlock? For me is Jon/Martin from The Magnus Archives and Booth/Brennan from Bones

OMG okay okay okay, SO MANY ships honestly, but most RECENTLY, for me, has been Loki and Mobius from the Loki Series. The ending of S2 felt SO much like Johnlock to me, but opposite in a good way?? I can't explain why, given it's Disney and I really don't want to have the same hope for Lokius' canonical future, but it's SO hard not to because they're dynamic is similar to Johnlock for me. Mobius saw the good that everyone refused to see in Loki – even Loki himself – and treated him with respect and a kindness despite everyone trying to warn Mobius off from Loki, basically was in awe with Loki, befriended him and then they became suspiciously close to each other. Loki's inevitable sacrifice for his friends utterly destroyed Mobius' raison d'être. Sound familiar?? Much like John did with Sherlock, who everyone treated with disdain, but John let Sherlock in, they became best friends who everyone thought they were more-than, and John was utterly devastated when Sherlock sacrificed himself for his friends.
It's such a beautiful dynamic, and I hope that Disney/Marvel has the balls to surface-level canonize the ship (it WAS canonized, but the general audience doesn't SEE it), given how popular it is.
So yeah, Lokius is my new Johnlock, LOL. Johnlock always has a special place in my heart, because I compare all my other ships to it <3

I think it's really rich how the Loki series showrunners like to talk about Loki's problems and emotions as if he were some moody, hormonal teenager, while currently in the show Sylvie is acting like some sullen, edgy, emo bitch-brat, hating everything and everyone, sticking safety pins in her armor and working at frickin' McDonalds. And this is supposed to be seen as cooler than Loki because her "trauma was worse and her scars are deeper", yadda yadda yadda. Like??? Do they not see their own double standard??? Do they not smell their own bullshit???
I know you aren't watching the show, and the Loki series is your least favorite subject right now, it is mine too, but every time I see something related to it I just. Want to put my fist through a wall. Everything these people have said about Loki is so wrong it's like my brain can't comprehend it. Anyway thank you for being so incredibly patient with all the Loki-related anons, including mine!
And on the subject of Sylvie's armor, I can't stand seeing her wear that design. If she is so special, being "her own person" and all, then she really should stop co-opting Loki's costume and find something else. Something that's just as, um...."original" as she is. 😒

I couldn't agree more about the double standard. It genuinely baffles me that they're so uninterested in one of the most complex characters the MCU has ever had. They clearly understand he's like a magnet for the fanbase, hence all the promo centring him, but they seem so keen to grab that complexity and turn it to shreds in order to make him more palatable, and it's like... he already has a lot of fans kissing his ass. You want more? Don't change him, just make a good series! Get the same freaking character acting the same way he's always been, put him in situations and we'll watch the damn thing even if it's not that good just to see him. What's not clicking?! 🤦‍♀️
It doesn't make sense to me. Disney+ needed the Marvel series to be profitable, and they want a bigger audience and more money. Okay, cool. But why, why do the execs think the only way to get people interested is by nerfing the characters and making them simpler? It's such a classist belief that ""people"" will only understand something if it's on its most superficial state.
It reminds me of this idiot minister in the UK who said he was worried people wouldn't be able to understand The Crown is fiction and not a documentary on the actual events in real life. At the time so many news headlines read "The citizens are so stupid, they think TV series are an accurate depiction of reality!" instead of "This minister is so stupid he thinks everyone is as dumb as him".
Sorry about that, I needed to rant too lol I don't know what Sylvie is wearing now but I suppose she will be wearing the Loki armour still. It is funny, she's not a Loki but she has to wear the suit otherwise no one would remember she's supposed to be a Loki since she doesn't act like one at all. See how Loki is wearing stupid TVA clothes and we all know who he is? But she has to wear the Loki suit.

Honestly, since this is Disney, that is 1 of the 4 most likely possibilities for the end game here. I'm an older fan. I sometimes chuckle seeing younger fans debate what queerbaiting is. Historically, a queerbaiting production never admits to queer representation in the first place. Times have changed since the 90s and early 00s. For a big profit machine like Disney, it's okay to say a character is part of the queer community so long as they never demonstrate it explicitly (that is, via action rather than words, such as a kiss with another man). Queerness can only be hinted at through lingering looks, touches that could feasibly be interpretted as touches been friends, a certain amount of regard between characters that is never directly addressed but is readily apparent through the queer lens. These hints, which mirror the queer romantic experience, particularly in repressed/oppressed environments, give the queer audience false hope, which keeps them watching, which keeps the profit engine moving without any political risk to the producer. This, by definition, is queerbaiting.
In queerbaiting, there must always be room for plausible deniability. The fact that some fans believe, "it's not queerbaiting unless something was promised or made explicit" reveals they're in their teens to mid-20s. Further, this perspective is in-fact representative of the cis-straight media experience. I have yet to meet a cis-straight fan of Legend of Korra who /didn't/ feel like Korra/Asami came out of the blue. Why? Because there is a lack of understanding queer media subtext.
To be part of the queer community is to know how to communicate and interpret via subtext by virtue of social closeting, which PERISTS regardless of the sociopolitical gains made in the last 20-30 decades. Media since Star Trek required the power of suggestion--queer coding. It cannot be made explicit within a machine that caters to a broad audience. To be explicit is to offend part of the audience, which equals profit loss and the headache of engaging in social politics (which equals time and more money). Shows like OFMD and GO have the benefit of having a smaller target audience, which means they can /afford/ to be niche in the same way comics (but not blockbustee movies!) can afford to niche. It is not worth it to Disney to receive a broad conservative ban. Disney's conservative Christian customer base is enormous. Pride Day at the park? Sure. Pride merch? Why not. An actual CHARACTER? Most likely not in this decade. Not yet. Rainbows are different from kisses.
Which leads me back to the 4 most likely possibilities for the end game:
1. A solution is found costing no lives. Mobius gives his position as the element of "order" to Loki, who now appreciates the value of order through their friendship. Loki and Sylvie become the new time lords, with Loki now representing order with some chaos and Sylvie representing chaos with some order. Mobius claims a life of his own, jet skiing. Everyone stays friends. Sylki is implied with plausible deniability for the queer community. I find this to be the most likely outcome.
2. A solution is found costing 1 of the Lokis' lives. I think Disney will shy away from this. Loki has died plenty, and they might be wary of killing off another female character based on the (rightly deserved) criticism of how Black Widow, Jane Foster, and Gamora were all handled.
3. Kill your gays. A familiar queerbaiting trope. They can only be together if one of them dies or is dying (see House/Wilson). Demonstrate the ultimate unspoken love through sacrifice. They can die for it, but never live it. This would be Mobius's fate.
4. Loki and Mobius become the new time lords. Sylvie claims a life of her own, doing whatever she wants. Everyone stays friends. No kisses. No declarations. Nothing explicit. Plausible deniability in all directions. Loki and Mobius are friends and "business partners". Loki could feasibly romantically involved with Sylvie outside of work. Loki could feasibly be romantically involved with Mobius in and outside of work. They could be a trouble, they could ask be "just friends." Every interpretation can be argued. This is probably the best possible outcome for Lokius within the realm of likelihood.
Sorry for this enormous ask!

i have a lot of feelings re: queerbaiting and marvel (that boil down to marvel is incapable of queerbaiting because they simply arent thinking of queer people in the writing room) but i agree with you 100%

You know what I hate? When readers claim there’s an ambivalent ending of a book because the author doesn’t force feed it to you.
Except sometimes the author 100% does force feed it to them and they still can’t grasp it.
I’m referring mostly to the death of characters. For example there are heated debates about whether or not Winston dies soon after the end of the 1984. As if it is not painfully obvious that’s what happens. Earlier in the book we hear about a group of men who were executed by Big Brother. It’s said they were arrested and pled guilty to a bunch of horrible crimes and were released (exactly what happened when Winston was captured). They were seen in the chestnut cafe (y’know the same one Winston frequents after being released) where a song comes on (the same one that comes on at the end of the book) and all three men are seen looking at Big Brother’s picture and crying (like Winston does when he discovers he loves Big Brother).
But even if you forget that detail there’s still the knowledge that Winston was told “we’re not going to kill you until you love Big Brother” and the last line of the book was that Winston loved Big Brother.
There’s a similar issue with possibly my favorite book of all time: Ghachar Ghochar
The last line of the book is literally someone (who has been built up as this all knowing guy) walking up to the narrator and saying something along the lines of “sir you should wash your hands, you have blood on them.” The character is referring to the actual blood from the broken glass but come on people. That mixed with the huge conversation his family had about how to kill someone the proper way. And yet when we read it in class even my professor was asking what people thought happened to the wife. Saying it was up to interpretation and there were many possible answers.
No! Just because we don’t see the light leave their eyes in scene does not mean they could be alive!!! Writers should be able to trust their readers. And readers shouldn’t be constantly worried that writers are trying to fake them out.
And you know what? I blame popular movies these days. Not to be a crank academic but like. If you see a building blow up with someone inside they should just be dead okay? I shouldn’t have to think “yeah but the writers are just trying to scare us they didn’t actually kill that character off.” But I have to think these things because now we have Loki back from the dead for the fifth or sixth time and Boba Fett got swallowed by a monster in the eighties and yet here he is with his own show.
Writers should be able to kill people off screen and not have people going “well we don’t know”
But they can’t do that because shitty companies like Disney feel the need to squeeze money out of every character while still trying to have actual stakes. So they only sort of die. They got away from the explosion just in time, or they’re just in a coma (stranger things), or they crawled out of the monster’s stomach after everyone left or it’s their clone with that person’s consciousness (Star Wars) or it’s another timeline’s version of them or he was legally dead for three days but was brought back or the heart monitor was tampered with to fake his death (marvel). This is actually terrible, terrible writing okay? Occasionally a death fake out can work but nine times out of ten it’s just stupid. Because now we have people saying “we don’t know for sure he’s dead because we never see the body and even then who knows”
Anita in Ghachar Ghochar is dead. So is Winston Smith in 1984. Both writers actively killed these characters. They did not leave it “up to interpretation” just because they didn’t show the blood spill from their head.

Doctor Doom, Ouroboros, & The TVA
Okay, so if my theory that the Loki series is building up to the Avengers Forever arc that means Loki and fam will be squaring off against a team of multiversal villains led by Victor von Doom -- AKA Doctor Doom. For those of you who don't know Victor von Doom is a Marvel villain most well known for his ties to the Fantastic Four. He is an evil genius and an authoritarian dictator of the country Latveria. Latveria is what Sokovia is/was called in the comics. Disney renamed it Sokovia because when Age Of Ultron was made the Fantastic Four and X-Men film rights were owned by Fox, and Disney was barred from making any references to the franchises because of copyright issues.
But anyway...
Victor is also a scientist and a tech wiz akin to Tony and Howard Stark or Hank Pym. Part of how he maintains control over Latveria is with an army of robots that function as secret police called Doom Bots. And holy motherfuck the Doom Bots are a metaphor for police brutality and corrupt brainwashed cops. How am I just now noticing that?😐
And we're off-topic.

Like last week I made a post where I talked this idea I have where Kang lied about having created Miss Minutes. I think that Miss Minutes is a program that was created by Victor von Doom in another timeline in which he and Kang knew each other. Potentially in the upcoming Fantastic Four film which is rumored to be set at some point in the 1960s.
Why would he do that?
Well, if Doom is leading a team of multiversal villains then maybe he needs someone to recruit them, right? That means those villains are variants of villains we might have already encountered in other movies. And we know that everyone who works for the TVA are variants. Which means that Kang is only killing off specific variants while allowing others to live after plucking them from various universes and timelines.
Could Doom be using Miss Minutes to manipulate Kang into deciding who lives and who dies?🤔
Circling back to our good pal Ouroboros, if you watch the first episode it becomes apparent from his interactions with Loki that OB is the only one in the TVA who hasn't had his memory erased by Kang. Why is that? Well, there could be a few reasons--
He's too valuable. Ouroboros wrote the TVA guidebook and assumably constructed most of the technology that it operates with. It's possible that he knows that tech better than Kang himself does which means wiping his memory could negatively impact the TVA.
Kang is simply not able to. Why would he not be able to? Because Ouroboros is a robot -- a piece of machinery so complex that not even Kang himself is capable of navigating it's/his inner workings.
It has also just occurred to me that Doom being tied into the Loki series would be supported by the aforementioned Fantastic Four film's 1960s setting. Cause the 1950s-60s was all about mid-century modern decor. You've all seen The Jetsons, right? If not get on that cause the decor in the TVA is extremely mid-century modern just like in The Jetsons. Which could be a hint that the creators of the TVA are from a universe where that was in vogue. In addition to being a metaphor for outdated rightwing values.
Anyway, these are just my thoughts and predictions so far. I wanted to get them out there cause if I don't then I'd be hyperfixating and driving myself crazy.

"Meet Captain America'
Okay, I have lost all my will to live with all the mini-sodes. I'm going to do the Captain America one in order. It did air in order online, which ?? Why is Captain America the only one the series cared about?
OH wait. It's because Captain America isn't part of the first Avengers team. He shows up later and the viewer has to know who he is. That's why they need us to understand his arc. I see what you did there, show.
I do want to talk about the mini-sodes more, especially "Welcome to Wakanda" and how is it such a lesser portrayal of Wakanda than the Ryan Coogler movies. (Admittedly, it's a "child-appropriate" version of the comic book canon at the time, but it's still fucked up.)
The main difference from Captain America's backstory in "Meet Captain America" than Captain America: the First Avenger is that Bucky is a kid, like he was in the comics, and not Steve's peer. They brought on kid-sidekicks to draw in younger audiences so of course they keep him as a kid on the cartoon. (Nerd note: Young Bucky is voiced by Scott Menville, who you might recognize is also Robin on Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go. So really a classic Teen Sidekick voice.
We also see that Nathaniel Richards, aka Kang the Conqueror is sort of the narrator of Captain America's story. Although they also add an old-timey newsreel type opening, which is odd. Seems unnecessary to do two frame stories. Anyway, Kang is looking back into the past and apparently he's watching stupid newsreel footage instead of actually seeing through time, which he can do.
Kang's storyline has a lot to do with Steve in the EMHU . In the MCU we only so far know him as a villain of Loki and Ant-man (Scott Lang version). Though we know from marketing announcements he will eventually face the Avengers as a team.
Of course Kang in the MCU has to be involved with breaking the "multiverse" open now that Disney own all the rights to all the Marvel characters, including the X-Men and Fantastic Four.
This series, since it's a different medium, already had access to the X-Men and the Fantastic Four. We see Wolverine in a World War II flashback in this episode. (Which some people hoped Fox would allow when Captain America: the First Avenger came out, but they did not. It would have been cool to see Bucky, Steve and Logan just hanging out.)
However, since this is and Avengers show and not a Marvel Universe Show, Wolverine (the only X-Man to be part of the Avengers in this show), and the Fantastic Four only really show up sparingly.
I do wonder if the MCU will, at some point, be force to break the universe in pieces a bit. Some people only the the X-Men books in the comics and maybe major team ups. Can they do something like that in the movies? Find a way to make each franchise feel different from the others? Make mainstream audiences chose their heroes the way nerds always do every Wednesday?
(An example, make the X-Men films the darker and more adult stories, the Avengers series occupies this middle zone of big popcorn everyone comes out, and the Fantastic Four franchise is a more kid-friendly, younger audience?)
Under the cut I compare this more to Captain America: the First Avenger
Skinny Steve, scientists, Bucky and the Howling Commandos, Red Skull, group fight. That is pretty much the same structure as Captain America: the First Avenger.
Except CATFA needs to have a romance with Peggy Carter. The cartoons aren't entirely "ew cooties romance" as it could be. But here it finds no female relationship as important as the one to Bucky. (And I do think the MCU initially took that approach of a young boy that doesn't care about girls telling the story. And then they were a bit surprised female viewers of the films cared what happened to Peggy. Like the comics at the time just has Gail and there's very little we know about her.
(Like Kevin Feige was like, "wait the women have to be important in the flashbacks before the important stuff too?" Shit, give Peggy and show and the only way we can make Carol important enough to male viewers is to say she existed before. She's an old hero like Cap and Namor and Wolverine. ??? )
(Is being a hero during World War II the greatest honor we can bestow on our mainstream heroes? Wonder Woman, Cap, Wolverine, all have that element.)
I shouldn't get high and watch these cartoons??? What does it mean that they didn't give it to Isaiah Bradley in the show?

Only criticism of MOM.. It punishes people who don't have Disney+..
I personally wasn't but i found a way to watch Wanda Vision so i wasn't lost. My brother on the other hand was completely lost and was not invested in Wanda having kids. Last time he checked Wanda was a good guy and so the sudden switch to badguy again was weird. He didn't enjoy the film as much cause Wanda's motivation was unclear.
If movies need context through other means, like a series, before hand it alienates an entire audience that just watches the movies and not the series.
If there were a movie that features Yelena and Kate in the future, it comepletely alienates the people who have never watched Hawkeye.
I never watched Loki. Will that hinder me from enjoying anything in the future? I never watched Falcon and the winter soldier, Will that hinder me from enjoying these characters any further?
Movies should be able to stand alone within its own rules and bounds. MCU Movies in particular already has its audience moving in a set canon within the movies it puts out. Breaking from that really does set a lot of problems for those people who'd rather spend 10 bucks for a ticket every now and then, vs a subsciption to a service they might not even use.
"Well, if you were a real fan you'd invest in -" Yeah, that's the problem. I don't have Disney+ available in my country. I have to watch these series elsewhere and frankly i don't have the time for all of it. Furthermore, not everyone has the money to spend on a subscription. 8 bucks a month adds up quickly expecially when you're not a really big Disney fan and did it for the MCU alone.
What i'm trying to say is that they should find a way to introduce all these things to the audience. Wanda having kids was a shocker to those who never watched Wandavision. Find some way to introduce plot points from Wandavision to better let the subject stick. Have a few scenes of Wanda suffering with nightmares or something that tied in to Wandavision. Have her getting pregnant and loosing the boys or something.. This doesn't bridge the gap for lost time but it does give Wanda a motive.
We wouldn't care for the context as much, if we knew why character is emotionally invested enough to be doing what she's doing. The things they did were okay but clearly a lot of people were lost as to why we should be invested in the boys. Wanda cares for these boys but we don't know why. They just suddenly exist.

I love the idea of loki being in the mcu forever, just in different forms like their female form, kid form, cat, or literally any form. Kinda like a crack fic where no matter where they are, loki is always there
But the way they did nothing to solve his trauma, give him peace, let him use his full potential and didn't even give him braids smh.
I want tom hiddleston's loki to be replaced by various lokis but only after his problems are solved...
I guess it's wishful thinking :`(
they can't kill loki because i refuse to believe he's dead.
they've also shaken the characterization jar enough for me to claim it is schrodinger's loki.
trauma? sorry, what trauma? he has control issues. inherently evil cause of destruction of worlds etc. etc. that's just who he is. he just can't help himself.
can't solve problems you don't have 👉🧠
considering the current direction of the mcu yeah, probably :')

The reader is taller than him, dominant and has piercings, and peter comes out to the avengers as bi and tells them that he has a boyfriend. They're sceptical first but then they see peter sitting on readers lap and them being affectionate and sweet and laughing at jokes they make.

"But what if it's not! What if they yell, or they hate me, or Mr. Stark wants to never see me again, or-"
You quickly grab your boyfriend's hands to stop him from talking. "Babe, none of that will happen," you say calmly, with a gentle tone. "Do you know why? It's because they're decent people who adore you, Pete, just like I do."
"You think so?" Peter asks nervously, blushing from the compliment from his partner.
"I know so," you reply, a gentle smile gracing your face.

Peter was stood in the elevator, his foot anxiously tapping on the slightly metallic flooring. He lets out a long, deep breath, trying to control his anxiety.
The doors then open, on the penthouse of the Avengers Tower (formerly Stark Tower). Peter steps out and looks around the common room.
All of the Avengers were sat on the sofas and little chairs, lounging around and watching a Disney movie. Peter was amused slightly as he saw that Bucky was sat on Sam's lap as a joke (Peter could tell he just wanted to sit there-).
Peter then quietly clears his throat. It wasn't the best idea, as the movie was playing quite loudly, so nobody could hear him. He takes a deep breath and then loudly cough.
Everyone in the room jumps, even causing Tony to make his popcorn go flying. Everyone looks over at the teen, who nervously rubs his arm.
"Oh hey, Pete," Tony says, picking up a handful of his popcorn that had landed on his lap. "What're you doing here? It's not Friday yet."
"Sorry about scaring you all," Peter says quickly. He then replies to his mentor saying, "Yeah, sorry about coming earlier than expected Mr. Stark, but I wanted to talk to you. To you all."
"What is it, son?" Steve asks, smiling gently at the teen (no, Peter isn't actually his son, Steve's just old). Peter stays looking awkward and nervous, so he encourages, "It's okay, we're here for whatever it is, Peter."
"I'm bisexual," Peter blurts out. The room goes silent. He then quietly mumbles, "And I have a boyfriend."
Peter grips at his arm tightly waiting for some type of reaction, the silence dragging on.
"No," is the first thing said after minutes of silence. Unsurprisingly, it was Steve who had said this. Peter had kind of expected him and Bucky to react slightly badly towards this as they were from a different time period where they didn't accept gay people.
Peter then feels hope as he sees Tony going to say something. However it is shattered when the words 'I'm sorry Pete, but bisexuality isn't a thing' come out of his mentors mouth.
"What?" Peter whimpers, taking a step back in surprise and hurt.
"Tony, that's a bit harsh," Natasha says, glaring at the man. She then looks at Peter with a straight face and states, "However, that doesn't mean that you are Bisexual. You're just confused and need to find the right girl for you."
Peter shakes his head and turns back around to leave the penthouse, ignoring the calls from the avengers, especially the shouts and demands to come back and to stop being stupid.

Peter was sat in your lap, crying into your shoulder. You were gently shushing him and smoothing his hair, whispering in his ear it was okay.
"I'm really sorry, Petey, I pushed you into this-"
"It's not your fault," Peter replies, sniffling as he wiped his nose.
"And it's not yours either," you reply, gently poking his chest to prove your point. "They were wrong to say that and do that to you, I'm glad I was here waiting for you so you could come to me. Otherwise, I don't know what would have happened."
Peter nods and sniffles, wiping his nose with his hand. You chuckle softly and grab a tissue from your pocket (what? Peter cried a lot, you liked to be prepared!) and hand it to him with a smile. He smiles back at you and blows his nose.
"Better, Dumbo?" You ask, teasing him with the name.
Peter giggles and says, "Better, n/n."
You grin and then say, "uh oh, I see someone coming.." Peter looks at you confused, but you simply raise your hands slowly. Peter pales slightly before squealing and trying to get away from you as you start tickling his sides. He laughs and giggles, kicking and squirming on your lap. "Tickle monster!"
After a few minutes, Peter's sad tears had turned into tears of laughter. So you stopped and smirked at him as he was still laughing and blushing from the tickle 'fight'.
You lean down and kiss his nose, which makes him blush gently. then you start kissing all over his face, making him a blushing mess.
"Ksh, mission complete boys, ksh," you state, pretending you had a Walkie talkie, making Peter giggle at you and move up to cuddle up to you. You grin and gently smooth his back.
"And who are you?" A male voice says, interrupting the peaceful atmosphere between the two.
You look up and glare at the group who had approached you. The Avengers. The ones who hurt your boyfriend.
"What do you want?"
"We heard from security there was a random guy sat here, so we came to see who you were, and then we saw you touching up Peter," Clint says, glaring at you.
"Excuse me?" You state, shocked at what he had said, as you had hardly even touched your boyfriend, only holding his head and hugging him.
"Who. Are. You?" Bucky says, getting angry.
"I'm Y/n L/n, aka, Peter's boyfriend," you growl. You then hold Peter gently as you pull him closer, feeling extra protective over him as everyone starts yelling their complaints and how much they disagreed.
"What on Midgard is going on here?" You hear a booming voice call out.
Both you and Peter look over first. You see that the owner of the voice was Thor Odinson, next to him was stood a very pissed looking Loki.
"I think we both know what is happening here, brother," Loki replies, a muscle in their forehead spasming, almost comically. You would have found it amusing if not for the situation at hand.
Tony replies to Thor's question, ignoring Loki had said anything, "Peter is apparently 'Bisexual' and this random guy is his 'boyfriend'. I'm thinking he's a hydra agents and has brainwashed-"
"Enough!" Thor yells, glaring at Tony and the group. "How dare you make rude comments about these poor boys! Bisexuality is a common thing among Asgardians, Loki himself is one! Bisexuality is common amongst many things, even the animals on your own planet are bisexual, gay or any of the other LGBTQ community! You should not slander such a group, especially as they are such a huge quantity of the population, and not only of this planet or your species!"
The room was silent, even you included.
Loki walks over to Peter and gently pat's his head, their face soft and a gentle smile was placed upon their lips. "You are the Peter child, yes?" The brunette nods at the god, who smiles more in return. "Here is a little secret of my own that I've been keeping from everyone, that I shall share. It will mean that I'm joining you in, as Midgardians say, 'coming out'."
Loki then turns to the group and says, "I have something to say too. I, myself, am genderfluid. And I identify as a female today."
The room is silent again.
"I have a sister!" Thor says excitedly, picking Loki up and twirling her around. Loki smiles, happy Thor had accepted her.
"Woah, that's so cool, Ms. Loki!" Peter squeals, smiling brightly. "Oh wait, do you still want to be called that?"
"Yes, Loki is perfectly fine, child" she replies, smiling back.

Okay so there has been justified confusion in the comment section. I did not mean to appear biphobic with this post.
The thing is the following, correct me if I'm wrong, but in the past Disney and other studios have repeatedly wiggled their way out of making two same sex characters kiss/get together on screen and that's something that's been bothering me.
Bisexuals are still valid when they date people of the opposite sex THAT SHOULD GO WITHOUT SAYING and everyone who thinks otherwise can I unfollow me right now and not come back to this blog ever.
Loki and Sylvie are still queer and have a queer relationship.
I worded this poorly, I hope my original intentions are clear now. When you create a meme you only have so many words before the template is filled with them and while that's not an excuse, please take it as an explanation for my badly written sentences. English is not my native language and I've tried to make the best of it.
If I have upset anyone with this I am very sorry, please believe me when I tell you that this was not intended.
As an asexual myself I know what it's like to hear people talk shit about your sexuality and it would be absolutely hypocritical of me to do the same.

I said this on my twitter, but gonna say this here too. Also I am not speaking for everyone who is genderfluid, just putting my personal thoughts/feelings into the matter. Also this isn't a post open to debate with me over the topic. I honestly don't have the energy for that right now over everything that's been going on. But I needed to speak up about the issues and have the word spread too so others will try to listen, understand, and hopefully help too.

If you love/support Loki so much in marvel like you say you do. Then you would be speaking up about the clear genderfluid erasure and fluidphobia shown in the series and about him.
Genderfluid people like me, our voices are being either ignored or talked over by people who aren't genderfluid, who believe they have the right to say how we should and shouldn't be feeling. When it comes to us talking about our feelings over what happened, or stating the clear problems that need to be talked about and not ignored in the series. And I get it...some of y'all just don't care for irl genderfluid people, so you wonder 'lmao why should it matter or I say anything?'.
Well...You care about Loki though right? You care they don't get done dirty once again by marvel, which happens too often. Right?
If so...now's the perfect time to show how much you care about and love Loki. Their gender identity literally got erased pretty much in the series. And no, don't give me that 'season 2 can fix it though' excuse. No, the damage has been done, and it easily could of been avoided if the Loki production team, marvel, disney, all of them in general. Just hired someone genderfluid to consult to for advice on how to show genderfluidity right in the show.
We need to speak up on how bad marvel messed up on this, so it won't happen again in the future...Else...They are gonna feck up a lot of other lgbt+ characters down the line when they get introduced. And continue to get away with it because not enough people are voicing their feelings on the matter on why their actions are not okay.

Yes, Loki series director Kate Herron knows about your fan theory about the show, the analysis you posted to social media. No, she won’t tell you what she thinks about it, or whether you were right.
“I follow all the conversations on Twitter,” Herron told Polygon in an interview shortly after Loki’s season 1 finale. “I don’t always weigh in on them, because I made the show, so they don’t want me weighing in like, ‘Actually, guys…’ I think that’s the whole point of art — it should be up for debate and discussion.”
[Ed. note: Spoilers ahead for season 1 of Loki.]
Loki has been a hit for streaming service Disney Plus — episode 6 of the show, the final installment for this season, was reportedly watched by more households than any of the platform’s MCU finales to date. The series has been a popular source of fan conjecture and argument, with one particularly big rolling conversation focusing on whether the budding romantic relationship between trickster Asgardian Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and his alternate-universe counterpart Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) is a form of incest.
Herron is willing to speak up about that one. “My interpretation of it is that they’re both Lokis, but they aren’t the same person,” she says. “I don’t see them as being like brother and sister. They have completely different backgrounds […] and I think that’s really important to her character. They sort of have the same role in terms of the universe and destiny, but they won’t make the same decisions.”
Herron says thematically, Loki falling for Sylvie is an exploration of “self-love,” but only in the sense that it’s Loki learning to understand his own motives and integrity. “[The show is] looking at the self and asking ‘What makes us us?’” Herron says. “I mean, look at all the Lokis across the show, they’re all completely different. I think there’s something beautiful about his romantic relationship with Sylvie, but they’re not interchangeable.”
Directing the final kiss between the two characters was a complicated process because it had to communicate something about each of them over the course of just a few seconds. Herron says the primary goal was creating a safe, comfortable environment for Hiddleston and Di Martino, and after that, she had to think about how to bring across Loki and Sylvie’s conflicting goals in that moment.
“It’s an interesting one, right?” she says. “Emotionally, from Sylvie’s perspective, I think it’s a goodbye. But it’s still a buildup of all these feelings. They’ve both grown through each other over the last few episodes. It was important to me that it didn’t feel like a trick, like she was deceiving him. She is obviously doing that, on one hand, but I don’t feel the kiss is any less genuine. I think she’s in a bad place, but her feelings are true.”
Herron says directing Hiddleston in the scene mostly came down to discussing the speech Loki gives Sylvie before the kiss. “That was really important, showing this new place for Loki,” Herron says. “In the first episode, he’s like, ‘I want the throne, I want to rule,’ and by episode 6, he isn’t focused on that selfish want. He just wants her to be okay.”
Loki writer and producer Eric Martin recently tweeted that he wished the show had been able to focus more time on two of its secondary characters, Owen Wilson’s Time Variance Authority agent Mobius M. Mobius, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw’s Ravonna Renslayer. “I wanted to explore her more deeply and really see their relationship,” he says, “But covid got in the way and we just didn’t have time.”
Asked if Loki and Sylvie’s relationship suffered from similar necessary edits, Herron says it’s true that the show’s creators and audience still don’t know everything Sylvie went through to make her so different from the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s original version of Loki. “We’ve seen her as a child, but she’s lived for thousands and thousands of years, in apocalypses on the run,” she says. “I think there’s so much more to delve into with Sylvie […] You’re filling in the blanks. You see [her on the planet] Lamentis, and it’s horrific. And you’re like, “Well, what kind of person would she be, growing up in apocalypses? What kind of personality would that give her?”
Herron says Sylvie’s backstory actually reminds her of the 1995 movie Jumanji, where a young boy is sucked into a magical board game in 1969, and emerges 26 years later as a full-grown man, played by with typical manic energy by Robin Williams. “It’s such a weird reference, but…” she says. “He’s a little boy when he ends up captive in that game, and when he comes out, it’s obviously been a life experience. With Sylvie, it’s similar. She was a child when she had to go on the run, so she’s had a very difficult life. I would love to see more of it. As Eric said, she’s a rich character, there’s so much to be explored.”
Herron says, though, that during her time on the show, material about Sylvie was added rather than cut — specifically, those scenes of her as a child, being kidnapped by the TVA. “This was before my time, but I know in the writers’ room, there were lots of avenues exploring Sylvie on the run and what her life was like,” Herron says. “I wouldn’t want to speak more to those, because I wasn’t there when they were being discussed. But something wasn’t in there that was important to me — I felt we should see her [history] in the TVA. Me and the team were talking about how it made complete sense, because episode 4 is all about twisting the idea that the TVA might be good on its head. And so that’s something that came in later, once I joined, was seeing her as a child. I think we needed to see that, not to understand her completely, but to get an idea of her motivations, why she’s so angry at this place.”
Talking more broadly about the series finale, Herron says the last few episodes weren’t as heavily referential as the first episodes, which she intended as “a love letter to sci-fi.” While early images like the TVA’s interrogation rooms had specific visual references from past science fiction, episode 6’s locations were drawn more from collaborations with the crew.
“The idea of the physical timeline being circular, our storyboard artists came up with that,” Herron says. “I had in the scripts, ‘We move through space to the end of time,” and then me and [storyboard artist Darrin Denlinger] discussed how we could play with the idea of time, while also adding MCU nods. He was like, ‘What if the timeline is circular?’ I think that’s such a striking image, like the Citadel at the End of Time is the needle on a record player. I just thought that was such a cool image, but it wasn’t necessarily taken from anything.”
Episode 6 focuses heavily on the mysterious figure He Who Remains and his citadel, a space she says was largely conceived by production designer Kasra Farahani. “I remember he brought in the art of the Citadel, and I thought it was beautiful,” Herron says. “He said, ‘The Citadel has been carved from an actual meteorite,’ which I thought was such an inspired idea. And He Who Remains’ office is the only finished portion of it.”
She says there are only a few direct homages in episode 6, including the zoom shot through space, which directly referenced a similar sequence in Robert Zemeckis’ 1997 film Contact.
“And then I have my Teletubbies reference for episode 5,” Herron says. “I wanted the Void to feel like an overgrown garden, like a kind of forgotten place. And I realized I’d pitched it as the British countryside. I remember trying to explain it to ILM, who did the visual effects, and saying, ‘Oh, you know, it’s like the Teletubbies. It’s just rolling hills, but they go on forever.’ That actually was quite a helpful reference in the end, which is funny.”
Asked for her favorite set memory from shooting the season, Herron says it comes down to Tom Hiddleston starting a mania for physical exertion before takes. “Sometimes he runs around set to get himself in the right mindset before he performs,” she says. “He does pushups. You know, you’re going into an action scene, you want to look like you’ve just been running. And it became infectious across all the cast. We’ve got so much footage of — I think Jack [Veal] ended up doing it, who plays Kid Loki. I’ve got [shots of] him and Sophia doing pushups and squats, just to get ready. It was so funny watching that echo across all the cast. I think all of them ended up doing those exercises with him at some point. It was so funny.”
“That might be my favorite set story, but it’s honestly, not a sweet one,” she adds. “I would say my favorite thing is his enthusiasm. He’s a very kind empathetic person. We were filming this in quite tough circumstances, a lot of people were far from home and isolating, and he brought this warmth and energy and joy to the set every day. And I think that made everyone feel very safe and very bonded. I’m forever grateful to him for doing that.”
