An essential yet forgotten piece of the puzzle is that humans are not those fancy lithium ion batteries that automatically stop charging when they're full. If you do keep "charging," to stick with the analogy, then your battery will weaken.

It is not an introvert's dream to live a life of isolation- for days, weeks, perhaps even years, it might be, but sooner or later they will grow lonely and depressed, yet more and more anxious around others should they try to visit. They must go out of their comfort zone to maintain their mental health.

Social needs, like most other human traits, are not binary. They never were.
