★ Jesse Aquato is basically an adopted older brother to Raz and has a close bond with him after learning that they are both psychic and adore True Psychic Tales. While they do have different favorite characters and different options on the Psychonauts, they respect each other highly.

★ Jesse didn’t really want to be involved with the acts 24/7 but instead became the ringleader and kept tabs on the management. It was much easier than having to be forced to commit some reckless acts.       - They’re still flexible.

★ Jesse still has Reuben and even brought him along during Psychonauts 1/2. With Agent Vodello’s help, Rueben is now classified as an emotional support animal.

★ Their specialty is antikemenokinesis—nosokinesis. While they are able to create stuff in reality, it’s very difficult for them to create things like gold and air crafts. Depends on the value and material, depending on the difficulty.

★ They developed PTSD during their childhood after being corrupted by a known psychic illness known as the withering. The hallucinations and the endless fear of forgetting everything around them as they withered away were too much for them.

i finished a first draft of the nosokinetic/nosokinesis book (see oc blog) this passed year and i spent months and months on it and it really helped me get through some grieving processes... i also finished a pilot screenplay for me and ren's witchoverse ocs/wip project which was very fun to do!! so i'd say those, i think.

Differences Between Mutations

So my Giant Masterpost of Mutations has gained some traction, and because I'm a total nerd I'd like to talk about why certain mutations are categorized as their own thing, why some mutations are considered sub-sects of another, and why some mutations aren't differentiated.

Why isn't Reicinokinesis (the ability to self-combust and then reconstruct one's self) not considered a sub-category of Regenerative Healing?

While you could of course categorize it under Regenerative Healing, the reason I didn't is because the focus with Reicinokinesis is more on the blowing up part. With healing, it's not so much what is done to you as how your body reacts, while in this case it's your body literally combusting and reassembling.

Why aren't Photokinesis or Magnekinesis listed as sub categories of Electromagnekinesis?

Technically neither magnekinesis nor photokinesis are represented on the electromagnetic spectrum ("but Iri" i hear you say, "isn't photokinesis control over the visible light spectrum?" well, im so glad you asked, imaginary person. we used to think it was! but studies show photokinetics actually draw from heat, UV light, and the visible light spectrum when using their mutation!) so I count them as seperate. But they do function similarly.

What is the difference between Bio-Picnokinesis (also known as Intagiblity) and Picnokinesis?

Intangiblity is focused soley on organic matter, while picnokinesis either incorporates both organic and inorganic, or simply inorganic matter.

Why isn't Inclinkinesis (shape-shifting) seperated into animal and humanoid categories?

Imma be real with you: I do not have a good answer for this. For some reason we usually just lump all shapeshifters together. Why? Idk ask Hank McCoy bro

Why are Vitakinesis, Toxikinesis, and Nosokinesis all seperate categories? Aren't they basically the same thing?

This is similar to the whole Reicinokinesis/Regen Healing thing. It's all about where you place your focus. So while a vitakinetic can cause someone to become sick, they do it by decreasing/disrupting life systems, while a nosokinetic would be interacting specifically with the processes that make someone sick (disease, etc). Likewise with toxikinetics vs. nosokinetics. It's less about the end result and more about how they got there.

Aren't all psonic (e.g Hypnokinesis, Mnemokinesis, Oneirokinesis, etc) a form of telepathy?

I mean....yes? Kinda? I would say the reason for the difference is telepathy is thought of (heh) as manipulate of conscious thought, while other psonic mutations manipulate different brain functions. Also the fact that most mutants with these mutations wouldn't be thrilled to be called knock-off telepaths lol

Are there specific kinds of atmokinesis?

To put it simply: yes! True weather-specific atmokinesis is fairly rare; most people who find they can only control rain or tornados for example find that with practice that control extends to all weather phenomena. But there are definitely mutants who can manipulate certain kinds of weather exclusively.

Name: Allister Charles Nosos

Godly Parent: Apollo, god of healing, music, poetry, and disease.

Mortal Parent: Cassidy Nosos, a famous British doctor known for experimenting on her own body while she had cancer and inventing several successful cancer treatments in the process.

Description: Allister is one of more interesting OCs when it comes to looks. He has poliosis, heterochromia and vitiligo (and no I’m not sure if someone can actually have all 3 of these at once but it’s a demigod OC let me do what I want). His poliosis gives him streaks of white hair in his messy, woke-up-like-this sandy-blonde hair. His vitiligo gives him patches of pale ivory in his warm ivory skin. His heterochromia makes (from looking at him) his left eye cornflower blue and his right eye dark brown. He has a faint British accent and sometimes resorts to British slang (such as calling other people rubbish, cheeky, or mate), if he’s comfortable enough. He has a large button nose and pointy natural lips. He also has a black mole/beauty mark under the far corner (away from the nose) under his brown eye. He has a rectangle, straight body shape, with just faintest beginnings of muscle. But for the most part, he’s just thin and slender even if he’s average height.

Personality: Allister’s a fun, party guy. He’s funny, he’s popular, he makes jokes, he popular with people for knowing how to entertain. He loves having fun, partying, entertaining others, and expressing himself. He loves chatting with people, showing off his talents, and soaking up attention. He makes every outing a party. He’s a definite chaotic good. However, despite his very extroverted and openness, he is the type to laugh off and joke away any conversations about his emotions and trauma. Kind of like Leo, except when he does it it’s much more obvious that he’s being affected by it and very uncomfortable about it. He’s also very aware when people talk about his various body conditions in a bad, bullying-type way. He’s the type of emotional-observant hypocritical person to help others with their trauma and emotions but immediately runs away in the other direction when the conversation turns to him. This can lead him to literally avoiding other people and obviously ignore them. When he does get forcibly into a corner by his friends and people who care about him to talk about his trauma, he tends to freeze up and try not to get too vulnerable and emotional because he very much cares about what other people think of him. I know a lot about his personality and have it fleshed out so well compared to other OCs because I tend to do that and have first-hand experience.

Abilities:

Nosokinesis: Allister has the ability to control and manipulate diseases, thanks to Apollo’s domain over plagues and diseases. The worst he can do on command in an instant is give someone the common cold. But when his emotions get pent up, especially hopelessness and vulrenability, his body instinctively lets out waves of disease as an outlet. The more pent-up and ignored his pain is, the worst the waves are. Most make people instantly nauseous and unconscious around him, but some can also induce watery eyes and horrible itching. The waves manifest themselves in sickly, pale shades of browns and greens.

Allister can imitate voices very well and successfully pull off almost any accent. He’s a good singer as well.

He can play acoustic guitar well.

Trivia:

- Even though he has a straight body and heterochromia, he is anything but straight.

- Everyone thinks he’s good at flirting when he’s secretly shit at it.

- When he first came to camp, half of the campers got hay fever and everybody thinks it was a coincidence when really, Allister was really fucking nervous the first day there.

- When Allister gets pissed at someone, the next day that said someone “coincidently” gets sick. Everybody thinks a Hecate kid is working with him to curse people, so he told Jessica (a Hecate girl) about his nosokinesis and they’ve been keeping up the charade so good so far.

- He gets a bit envious of Will’s relationship with Nico and regularly asks him how did he get a boyfriend.

- If Allister gets scared or nervous, he jumps into his natural British accent and tends to start swearing several British curses that no one can understand, not because of the accent, but because they make no fucking sense (except to Erin, who will always nod along and grin as he does it but will never elaborate to others).

- He has an enormous crush on his best friend Oliver (will be introduced later).

- He will also resort to his British accent when he’s flustered.

- He has a thing for men with dark hair and/or dark skin.

- He and Walter (will be introduced later as well) are known as the ‘residential gay men’ of the camp and are often mistaken as actual relatives because they hang out so much together, talk about men, and are practically inseparable brothers.

- Allister, as a dare, has tried drag out once.

- He uses Carmex chapstick.

- He has a weird love for biscuits and no, not biscuits as in British cookies, but like, KFC or Bob Evans biscuits, especially when they have melted butter on them and freshly made.

- He has a 80s—90s rock vintage grunge and hype beast mixed aesthetic.

Backstory: Allister had a rough childhood. It wasn’t nearly as bad as half of my OCs, but still pretty. As for him. His mother was very strict and controlling. She tried to shape him into a bit like her, kind of—polished, sophisticated, distinguished and polite. Even though she has Sight, she ignored the monsters that tried to kill her son everyday, and instead of sending him to Camp Half-Blood early, because his powers were obviously very strong and attracting monsters left or right, she ignored her child’s episodes of nosokinesis and taught him everything on medicine and sicknesses, because she wanted him to grow up into a doctor like her. It wasn’t like she hates Allister—she loves him. She wanted the best for him, which is why she was so strict. Her love, care, and methods were flawed however, and Allister ran away a few months before his 13th birthday when he ran into a satyr. The satyr took him to Camp Half-Blood, and on the way there, he ran into to Medea, who briefly tolerated him for because she sensed a dark, deadly power in him (his nosokinesis) and taught him how to somewhat control it through his emotions. He met Oliver a year or so after he came to Camp Half-Blood and has been crushing over him and mostly hiding his abilities ever since.
