So, uh, for Princess Bee, I was asking myself if the NextGen kids had, like, a Mr.Pigeon? &, uh, I accidentally came up with an OC - Lila's minion/hench person/assistant/love interest?, the Akuma Ratatouille, a food and rat themed supervillain. Real name either Chester Fester, or Norm Al Dude. Personality a mix between Doofenschmirtz & Mr. Crocker. Ineffectual (most of the time) but persistent. Has a love for fermented foods. Has two pet rats, Whiskers & Morning Glory.

Remy Bones! Listen, more Hauntley fam! More foodies! A cook with terrible secrets and who is trapped in an immortality they never wanted! There’s *pats his head* so much room for exploration with this guy! And also actually I think he should be Stanley Tucci.

Izzy Hawthorne! The weight of family obligation/ambition, the wanting to help! Perhaps... perhaps another member of the firefighter fam? 

Clio (of Hesiod) Just shining some light on another of the Muses who hasn’t already been listed. Someone else hunting for Merlin’s artefacts? An amazing historian? Part of a weird secret order organisation? Whats not to love! 

Erato (of Hesiod) Think how much chaos and angst and drama could be caused by having a muse who can inspire and affect love and affection! Could you imagine? And the inner turmoil of having that power and never knowing if someone genuinely felt love for you? 

Dr Doofenschmirtz! Not just for all of the excellent reasons already laid out by our resident Doofenschmirtz afficionado Anya, but also because A - MORE chaotic ‘baddies’ they bring utter joy to the RP with the chaos and the shenanigans and the complicated social and familial relationships. B - because I have a very specific pitch for Norm (Yes the robot) that I would want to pitch to anyone bringing in Doof, hmu ;)

Phoebus - who doesn’t love a tortured soul! One with a crusade, a mission, an all-consuming thirst for justice! (Who is he chasing who is he trying to bring down, ooooh could be neat, no?) How about a ... Bradley James? Or a William Moseley?

Maximus! - Is this because I think it would be hilarious to see more of Sheriff Clayton and how he would handle his officers and how his officers would handle him? You bet your arse it is! How does one handle being a police officer in a town like Swynlake, would he get sucked in by Clayton, would he grow tired of the politics of it all? Much room to explore!

David Kawena! I seriously considered David when I was looking at getting a third character. A half-merman! Amazing! Hardworking, chill, supportive, all things we LOVE in a man. Plus his fancy hair and his nice butt. 

Cornelia Hale! Plant magic makes my eyes go <3 <3 She has been my crush since day 1 as a kid, and I love every part of her. Her passion, her hard-headedness, her selfishness, her unashamed femininity. 

Hook. Who doesn’t LOVE a retelling of Captain Hook (where are my OUAT people at eh?!). But listen, him washing up with amnesia? It’s so spicy! Who might he have met before and not remember? How DID he get there? What stories might he weave for himself about who he was and maybe in his version he was always the hero not the villain? How would that collide with reality at different points.

So according to the IMDb

there’s a goof in the Phineas and Ferb episode “A Real Boy” where the kids get in the ride that they built, but in the next scene despite the ride not opening again Buford has disappeared and doesn't reappear for the rest of the episode. But I propose that it is not a goof and that Buford can just Do That

I'm reminded of a gag from Phineas and Ferb, where Doofenschmirtz had no problem whatsoever with a car radio being thrown, but had to stop Norm from throwing a crowbar because it is significantly easier for a child to get their hands on and throw a crowbar than it is for them to remove a radio from a car's dashboard and yeet it.

I'm suddenly wondering what kind of violence would be dubbed "too easy to imitate" in a fantasy or action/adventure world...

Yeah like.

In some senses I get it. Imitable behavior and all that.

But also like. Seeing things like that don't matter to a child brain. It doesn't matter if the character on the tv throws a radio or a crowbar. If a child is going to throw something at someone they're going to throw it regardless.

Adults in the child's life should be teaching them what behavior is okay. Don't throw things unless it's approved(like a dodgeball or something). Don't play with fire. Don't use an umbrella to jump off the roof.

If the child is too young to learn that they shouldn't do that, then they are likely too young to be left unsupervised in the first place.

July Toon Spectacular 1: Robot

And thus the July Toon Spectacular begins!

We start our foray into my past with a little Disney Channel show called Phineas and Ferb. Phineas and Ferb, a delightful cartoon about two genius tween boys, entranced me and my little brother for months. We would watch the episodes and then try and recreate our favorite creations. Norm was always a favorite of mine. He was born out of the mind of Dr. Doofenschmirtz to attack the enemy of the platypus (man) and weaken Perry. Of course, Norm ended up downgraded to a lab assistant in later episodes. You can’t help but love Norm. He just wants to appease his creator and do the best he can. And that’s why Norm is my choice for Robot.
