BIG CHRISTMAS GIFT FOR @i-am-beckyu I HAVE UR BIG GIFT
TWs for neglect, running away, injuries, medical inaccuracies
“Wilbur, how about you tell me about your day?” Phil began as he let his two children begin to eat.
To the side, Tommy was making his food–Mac ‘n Cheese–because everyone else had eaten the food Phil–not his dad, not his father. He would never be either–had prepared. Wilbur began to talk about his day, going through everything he had done. Techno listened intently, with Phil pipping in occasionally to ask questions.
“I hung out with Tubbo today, we played Mario Kart.” Tommy whispered to no one in particular, looking over at the table. Wilbur and Phil were still talking, but Techno was staring at him. His brother got up, waving Phil’s concern away. He took a spot in front of Tommy’s pot, stirring the food.
“Techno, please, I-” His brother shushed him, pulling out a bowl and filling it with the substance. He handed it to Tommy, a peace offering. “How about we talk in your room?” He whispered when he took the bowl, gently pushing him towards the stairs.
Phil didn’t notice Tommy but watched as Techno took his dishes up the stairs. “What’s going on, Tech, you’re being weird today.” “Just going to have dinner in my room.” Phil nodded, waving him off.
Tommy had made himself comfortable before Techno came in, carefully taking a seat beside the child. “You hung out with Tubbo today?” Techno prodded, offering him a small smile. “Yeah, we played Mario Kart and I won!” Tommy smiled.
The two conversed happily for a bit before Techno noticed something in his room. “Theseus, why is there a packed bag-” “It’s for a trip.” He responded quickly. “Theseus, please, I want you to be honest. I would’ve known if there was a trip.”
“I-I want to run away.” The boy admitted sadly. “Why?”
“Phil promised he’d care for me when he adopt-ted me, but now he’s not even paying attention to m’.” The older brother paused for a moment, thinking. “How about this, we’ll leave tonight, once they’ve gone to sleep.”
“We?” “You and I. I don’t want you out there surviving on your own, and I kinda like talking to you.” Techno smiled. “Want to help me pack?” Tommy nodded happily, grabbing his bag at the instructions of Techno.
Techno helped Tommy grab other things the little boy would need, before hauling his bag into Techno’s room. The two spent an hour packing together and coming up with a plan.
First, they’d escape out of a window downstairs and run a few blocks to Tubbo’s house, where they’d stay for the night. (Tommy already texted the boy asking for permission).
After a bit–Phil knocked on Techno’s door, wishing Techno a good night–they heard the snoring of the other two and grabbed their stuff. Techno smiled, silently leading them down the stairs. He scrapped the idea of the window as that would be too complicated. He slowly opened the door, shoving Tommy out and following behind. The door was closed quietly.
Techno pulled out his flashlight, smiling at Tommy. “We’re out. Come on, onto Tubbo’s!” The eldest smiled softly, carefully leading the 6-year-old.
That’s right because Tommy was only six. That stung worse, Tommy needed love and care from his parents, but Phil just didn’t care.
Deep down Techno knew Tommy would be on his own. Techno knew Phil would care if he went missing. He’d drop Tommy off at Tubbo’s and go back. He’d make sure Tommy had his phone number in case of emergencies.
Tommy was so happy as they walked down to Tubbo’s. And slowly, knowing this would be where he had to say goodbye, he knocked on the door.
Schlatt answered swiftly, staring the two boys down. “There you two are.” Techno nodded, motioning Tommy inside. “I can’t stay, Phil will notice I’m gone. Please take care of Tommy, make sure he calls me if there are issues.” The boy smiled sadly. Schlatt looked saddened, wrapping him in a hug.
“I will. Thank you Techno, he’ll be cared for.”
In the back of his mind, he knew it was the best for his brother.
It would be three months before anyone reported Tommy missing, but Techno stood by him the entire time.
Schlatt would eventually take to homeschooling the boy, and Tubbo would introduce Ranboo. The three would become fast friends after Tubbo explained Tommy’s situation.
“9-1-1, what’s your emergency?” Wilbur began his script. “M-my friends and-and I got shot-”
He took a deep breath, pulling up his report. “Okay, can you tell me what happened?” “We-we were walking down the street and-and got mugged. My-one of my friends got shot in the arm, the-the other got shot in the foot.”
“What about you, where were you shot?” “In-in my shoulder, it’s bleeding a lot.”
“Okay, I’ll need you to calm down, are you putting pressure on the wound?” “Ranboo is.”
“Ranboo?” “They got shot in the foot.”
“Okay, just keep applying pressure, there should be an ambulance on the way. In the meantime, could I get your names?” “Ranboo got shot in the foot, Tubbo got-got shot in the arm. I-I’ve got my shoulder.”
“And what’s your name?” “T-tommy.”
Wilbur’s blood ran cold. Tommy. He hadn’t heard that name in so long. It could be him, or it could just be Tubbo making a new friend sharing the same name to cope. ‘Don’t jump to conclusions, Wilbur.’ He scowled himself.
“It’s nice to meet you, Tommy. I know you may want to fall asleep right now, but you can't, okay? It would be really bad for you to do that right now. Can you tell me about your family?” “The Wastakens have been nice.”
“Yeah? Are they your family?” “Not really, never knew my birth parents, and my adopted family didn’t care about me.” The boy on the other end rattled on. Something in Wilbur’s heart panged.
“Oh yeah? So you live with the Wastakens now?” “Yeah. Foolish, Dream, and Tubbo are great brothers, Schlatt and Puffy are so sweet.”
“Tommy, come on bud stay awake-” He heard a voice next to them. “I’m cold.”
“Tommy, hon, stay awake, the ambulance is almost there. How about you tell me about a hobby you like?” “The piano’s f’n, my ad’pted br’th’r taught m’ how to play when he still car’d.”
“Can you play songs on the piano?” “Yeah, I learn’d a song by Dead o’ Alive for Tub’o.”
“You learned that for me?” “Tubbo, not now, we need to keep him alive, please-”
Sirens were heard from the phone, and the man let out a sigh of relief. “Okay, okay, thanks mister, the ambulance is here-Tommy, stay awake, come on!” The phone was hung up and Wilbur ripped off the headphones, needing a break. “Niki, come take my desk please, I’m taking a break.” He announced, standing up. The woman nodded, quickly running over and putting the headset on.
He stepped into the break room, getting himself a coffee. He noticed Techno and Phil sitting at the table, talking to each other, so he decided to join them.
“What’s going on over here?” He asked. “Nothing, just talking about plans for tonight. We never see you in here, something up?”
“A stressful call that made me remember Tommy. Three teenagers-” Techno’s phone began to ring, and when the other looked at it, he shot up and stepped aside. “Important call, one second.”
Phil and Wilbur were left alone to talk amongst themselves for a bit, engaging in happy conversation, until Phil got another call.
“Phil Watson, how can I help you?” He answered quickly, staring at Wilbur. He couldn’t hear what the other person was saying, but by the way his father’s emotions flashed across his face said a thousand words.
“I-okay. I-we’ll be there as soon as we can, thank you so much.” Phil hung up the phone, staring at Wilbur with tears in his eyes. “They found Tommy.”
Wilbur ran into Tommy’s room, surprised to see Techno already there. “Techno?!” “What, Wil.”
“How did you even know about this?! Phil didn’t even drive you!” “Tubbo called me so I ran. Why do you care?”
Wilbur growled before stepping closer. “They just gave us permission to come up, why have you been here with him?”
“Because I beat you two here. First come first serve.” Wilbur was sure he had quite the offended look covering his face. “Techno, what the f-”
“Wilbur, watch your tone.. We are in an ER. We don't need to stress everyone else out by yelling.” Phil hissed, before sitting down next to the hospital bed. The man stared at his son, the one who had been missing for so long.
“Where did he even go?” Phil muttered. Wilbur sat down next to him as Techno turned to the curtain and peeked through before turning back to the bed. “I wish we knew-”
“Techno! Oh g–, where are they-” Puffy began as soon as she stepped into the door before cutting herself off seeing the other two in the room. “They're all around here. Tubbo got shot in the arm, Ranboo in the foot, Tommy in his shoulder. Tubbo and Tommy are still under anesthetics, but Ranboo’s awake.” Techno informed.
“And them?” Puffy tried to hide the snarl, but Wilbur could hear it. Call it his musical talent to hear things that others couldn't. “Got called because the cops found Tommy. Should've gone to court.”
“What?” Phil pressed.
“None of your business. You have no right being here.” Dream spoke, appearing to the side of Puffy. “Wha-”
“F— you!” Wilbur shouted, shooting up in his seat. “Wilbur, sit down and calm down or you are leavin’.” Techno seethed, rubbing a thumb down Tommy’s limp hand.
The man sat down quickly, accepting the threat. “Is Schlatt able to come?” “No, he got held up at work. He honestly wanted to come.” Puffy explained as she pulled up a chair next to Techno.
“Tubbo’s right next to us and Ranboo’s across from Tubbo. Been goin’ back and forth between the three.” Techno explained. Wilbur wasn’t happy about this at all, but he didn’t want to be kicked out. He watched Foolish and Dream go behind the curtain.
“What are they doing?” Wilbur asked Phil quietly. “Probably going to check up on the other two-”
“Tubbo’s awake.” Dream whispered to the room before sliding open the curtain separating the two patients. “Wait.” Wilbur paused. Something clicked in his mind as he remembered the call from before.
“Tubbo, Ranboo, and Tommy, those were the names of the boys that called in the emergency.” He spoke. “He-he called the Wastakens his family. They knew, Phil. They knew where Tommy was this whole f—ing time!” Wilbur whisper-shouted as he let his head fall into his hands, tearing up.
Phil wrapped an arm around his shoulders, slowly leading him out of the room. “It’ll be okay, promise.” “We need them to know what they’ve done to us.” Wilbur cried out.
“We will, promise.” Phil whispered back, sitting the man in a chair.
“I’m going to go back to the room now, but it’ll be okay.” Wilbur nodded as he tried to collect himself.
- - -
Wilbur sat alone in the waiting room, scrolling through his phone. It had been so long since he had seen Tommy, the poor boy had only been…seven? No, that couldn’t be right.
“Wilbur?” Techno asked to get the attention of the man. He looked up at his brother. “What?”
“Phil wanted me to tell you everything we talked about in that room.” The brunet stiffened, putting his phone away. “Tell me, please.”
“Phil doesn’t want to press charges against the Wastakens or myself. It was warranted. I helped Tommy run away because neither of you two was paying any attention to him, and the Wastakens treated him better than you two would’ve. He was six, Wil, and neither of you cared. It took you guys three months to finally realize he went missin’, and I had to be the one to bring it up. Do you realize how f—ed up that is?”
The brunet stared up at Techno in shock as the pinket rambled. “They gave him the life we never would’ve, Wil. You need to accept that. As much as I was there for him, the Wastakens have given him more and more.” Techno finished.
“I-I don’t want to believe it, I don’t.” The man finished. “Yeah, well you need to. Phil wants you in the room soon, the doctors are giving Tommy about 5 minutes to wake up and he wants you there.”
“Okay.”
. . .
Techno was there the moment Tommy woke up. But so was Phil and Wilbur. Techno noticed how immediately Tommy shut up.
Wilbur and Phil gushed over Tommy, even when the Wastakens were forced out. Techno knew Tommy didn’t like it.
Techno held Tommy’s hand the whole time.
. . .
The day Tommy was released from the hospital, Phil made sure he came home.
Techno opted for holding his hand the entire time. He refused to leave Tommy’s side, even as Wilbur insisted on giving him gifts and making sure the other felt wanted. Even as Phil cooked Tommy a meal–Phil claimed it was Tommy’s favorite, but Techno knew he didn’t like Macaroni and Cheese.
But Phil hadn’t ever seen Tommy eating anything else, as it was the only thing anyone would provide for him. Techno made sure he always had a box or two.
Techno eventually got upset and forced Phil out of the area and immediately took over, cooking a much better meal that Tommy would be more prone to enjoy. He got to work, immediately making dough.
He shooed Phil and Wilbur away to their rooms while he got Tommy to help him make their pizza. Tommy went to work, poking the dough on the tray and then spreading the sauce. Techno put cheese on the circle and put pepperoni on his half. Tommy put pineapples and ham on his side.
“This is perfect, don’t you think?” Techno commented softly, pulling Tommy in for a half hug as they stared at the pizza in the oven. “Yeah. Wish it were just you and I though.”
“Maybe eventually. I’m already looking for an apartment, so when I’m stable enough you can join me.” The pinket spoke to his brother. Because that is what Tommy was. His brother. Not Wilbur’s brother, not Phil’s son. He was Techno’s.
The oven beeped and Techno pulled out the pizza. “Go pick a movie, runt.” The pinket smiled softly to Tommy, who nodded and ran off. He chuckled softly, cutting up their creation before Tommy came back.
“I-I don’t know where to go.”
Oh, right, Theseus hadn’t been here for eight years.
“Give me a little, I have to finish this. Or would you like cold pizza instead?” He pried with a smile. “No, sorry, I’ll wait.” Tommy panicked.
“It’s okay, don’t worry. What’s got you on edge?” “It’s been eight years since I’ve seen them, and they act like they care. I don’t want to be ignored again.” The teen admits.
Techno smiled, pulling him into a soft hug. “Don’t worry, I’ll make sure you never go through that again. If you want, we can celebrate your birthday tomorrow with just me, you, and your friends.” He smiled, before turning back to the pizza. “Yeah, I would like that.”
Techno let Tommy help him cut the pizza, dishing it up as Techno led the way to the living room. The two sat down on the couch as Techno turned on the TV. “Want to watch Up for old times sake?” The elder asked. Tommy nodded excitedly as he bit into his pizza.
The older smiled slightly and pulled Tommy close. “What’s wrong?” He asked as the movie started. “You’re normally more talkative than this.” “I don’t want to be here, Techno, they don’t like me.” Tommy admitted slowly.
“Yeah, they do suck, don’t they. But I’ll be here to make sure they don’t do anything stupid. Or move us out into an apartment with just us. One of the two.” Tommy smiled, leaning into his brother. “That’s why I like you.” The teen smiled happily.
Techno took that as a compliment.
. . .
Tomorrow came almost too quickly, but Techno was ready. He smiled as he slipped into Tommy’s room, trying not to wake up the other occupants of the house.
“Theseus, come on, let’s get up.” Techno whispered, gently nudging the other. Tommy groaned slightly as he rolled over and slowly opened his eyes. “Come on, we need to be out of here before they wake up.” The pinket smiled.
Tommy slowly sat up, trying to blink the confusion from his eyes. “How long?” “A few hours, I just needed to ensure you got a good shower. Come on.” Techno threw some clothes at the boy and led him downstairs to the guest shower.
“I’ll whip up a quick breakfast for us to have on the go.” The elder spoke as Tommy ran into the bathroom.
Techno was quick to dish them up some yogurt with granola as the teen finished up a quick shower and ran out. “Where are we going, big man?” “To go get Tubbo and Ranboo and get ice cream and go to the movies.” The older one spoke.
The two smiled together as they ate the food and then nearly ran out the door. Techno quickly started the car and drove the two off towards Tubbo’s house to pick up the two.
“I hope you’ll enjoy today, Theseus.” Techno spoke softly. “I’m sure I will, I finally get a day with you and my friends.” The teen admitted with a smug look.
Techno pulled into Tubbo’s house as the two hopped out of the truck. The pair knocked on the door, waiting for about two seconds before the door was thrown open and Tubbo jumped out to pounce on Tommy.
“Tommy! The biggest man ever! Happy birthday!” The hyper brunet spoke quickly as Ranboo attempted to pull the other off. Tommy just pulled Ranboo into the hug.
“I’m so excited, we chose a good movie for you!” Tubbo rambled with a goofy smile as he finally let go of his victim. “Tubbo, we don’t want to spoil it.” Ranboo scolded.
“Don’t worry, he knows we’re going to the movies, but he doesn’t know what movie. Come on, we’re going somewhere else.” Techno rushed. The two nodded before running back inside and then running back out with a box each.
“We’ll open them after ice cream, come on!” Tubbo insisted, pushing the blond towards the truck. “This’ll be a really good day!” The shorter promised, sliding all the way over to make room for Ranboo to join him in the back of the vehicle.
Tommy and Techno got in up front moments later. “How do you think the other two will react? When they find out that we’re gone I mean.” Tommy asked wearily. “I’d assume Wilbur’ll call me in a panic only to have the old man calm him down. We won’t have to worry too much, I won’t tell them where we are goin’.” The eldest of the group smirked.
Tommy smiled and got comfortable in his seat as the truck began to move. The sun had come up and was now resting above the mountains.
Techno remained silent as the three teens happily chatted away.
- - -
After probably one of the best days of his life, Tommy was able to come home. Tubbo had given him a moth and minecraft spider plush–which he immediately named Clementine and Shroud respectively.
Ranboo had given him a big coloring book and a pack of pencils, claiming they were therapeutic–they were, and he was sure to make sure Ranboo knew.
Techno, who had planned out the whole day and did everything with him, still had one final surprise. A pocket knife engraved with a crown. Tommy hugged Techno so hard.
Tears were definitely shed, but quickly forgotten when they went to watch the new Spiderman movie.
And when the group got home, Tommy made sure that his friends and brother were with him as he walked through the door.
Inside, Wilbur and Phil were waiting for them, relieved smiles of their faces.
“Toms, Toms, I was so worried-” Wilbur spoke quickly before Techno interrupted him. “I’m surprised that you didn’ call me in a panic.”
“I stopped him. You doubt the abilities of your own father.” Phil smiled. Tommy flipped Phil off and made it known. Techno definitely didn’t chuckle at the motion.
“Here, Toms, we got you some gifts!” Wilbur smiled happily. Phil picked up a box and handed it to the blond teen. “Go on, it’s for you.”
Tommy glared it down a bit before he took a breath and began to unwrap it. Inside was a music disc. His favorite one. He looked up at Phil, a question in his eyes.
“I knew how much you liked this disc, so after the old one broke I bought you a new one.” The man explained.
Tommy nodded and handed it to Techno before Wilbur held out a long box. Tommy took it, quickly getting his balance after not being prepared for how heavy the thing was.
He carefully ripped part of the wrapping and looked inside before immediately turning back to Wilbur in shock. “You said you like to play the piano.” The other said with a smile.
Techno took the keyboard from Tommy. “Go on you three, I’ll have Tommy help me with these tomorrow. Enjoy the sleepover.” Techno waved them away.
The teens went upstairs to Tommy’s room, while Techno stayed downstairs with the other. “If you two do anything to him, I won’t hesitate to move us both out.” He warned, going upstairs.

Blessed, cursed, or both?
AN: I am alive, shoutout to that one anon who worried about me.
This is my gift for @glacierruler for the @sanderssidesgiftxchange
I am so sorry for the delay, my school's stupid platform registered a bunch of mine and other classmates grades incorrectly and we spent the holidays making sure it was fixed, but here it is! Hope you like it c:
Summary: After his first day in a new school sucked as much as expected, Virgil is sure his day can't get any worse, until it does. At least there were two very weird but familiar individuals to keep him from dying, even if it meant they dragged him to a confusing investigation afterwards.
CW: explosions, near death experiences, swearing.
WC: 2866
————————————————————————————————————————————
The walk home was longer than Virgil imagined. Yet again, any walk would seem to last an eternity to anyone on a new town.
Virgil's old school was perfect, as perfect as a high school could be, but at least it was perfect for him. A robotics and chemistry lab left practically all for himself was clearly the biggest appeal, but his classmates and teachers were nice too. The cafeteria food was the only thing Virgil could actually complain about.
Here, at one of the biggest cities in his country, one would believe the public schools would be quite well funded and have a lot of resources. It sounded like such a stupid mindset now that Virgil went to his earlier thoughts again.
His new school was a nightmare, almost an abandoned building. The chemistry lab, which also worked as a computer lab, was occupied by boxes full with old participation trophies and books that probably still had slurs written on their pages.
And if that wasn't ad enough already, his classmates were all dicks. No one cared enough about anyone but themselves to mind if they bumped with someone in the hallway or made them drop their books on the way to their locker.
"They're just surviving, you'll learn to do it too... eventually"
Those words kept repeating on Virgil's head, he didn't even know the name of the person decent enough to help him. Surviving... that shouldn't be an excuse for being an asshole.
Lost in his thoughts, Virgil almost didn't hear the giggles and laughs coming from the other side of the street.
Virgil looked back, spotting what appeared to be a fucking mansion, no, it was more like one of those rich neighborhoods with the clean white houses. Only it wasn't that, it was a school.
Oh great, he had fallen into the falling to crumbs public school and Olympus worthy private school stereotype hadn't he?
Virgil could actually feel the sun shinning bright above the fancy campus, despite the rest of the city being covered by storm clouds.
Moving on, back to going home... wait.
Taking a couple of steps back, Virgil realized the clouds actually did seem to part above the school.
Virgil looked over at the buildings surrounding it, grey sky, then back at the school, blue sky.
Well that was definitely not norm-
BOOM
An explosion.
Sure, add an explosion almost fucking KILLING him to te worst day of his life, why not?
Almost killing him... why wasn't he dead?
As Virgil opened his eyes, he could once again see that blue sky that filled his head with so many questions, and then he looked down only to e greeted with a set of perfect white teeth.
"Do not worry innocent citizen, the great Starbolt has saved you from disaster!"
Virgil could barely see this man's, Starbolt he said? Face with the sun shining behind him and the breeze blown his hair to his eyes.
Breeze?
Looking down, way down, Virgil could barely see the floor.
"HOLLY SHIT!" Virgil could only scream. He was flying! Actually flying! Well, Starbolt was, while carrying him. This man was making Virgil fucking fly with him.
boom
Another explosion, further into the city.
"Well, have to take this one." Was the only warning Virgil got from Starbolt before being dropped who knew how many feet off the air.
This time he couldn't even scream. Virgil was really screwed up now, and the sun had once again disappeared so there weren't any shadows where he could-
And then the floor stopped getting closer, Virgil felt a new pair of arms holding him and sure enough, someone caught him.
Seriously could death stop taunting him for only five minutes?
"Hey, you're the emo kid."
Virgil looked up, at this man's face, meeting a pair of bright red eyes. He's seen those eyes before... this person was at school earlier today.
"Um... hi?"
A smile Virgil could only describe as unsettling replied to him. "Welcome to the city, you won't die if you're lucky enough to have me around, not so much if you bump into those assholes over there though." He pointed to the sky, not before slapping a fucking boulder away with his bare hand, making it break around them.
Virgil looked to where his classmate was pointing. Another person floated alongside Starbolt as they lifted people away from the explosions.
It was then when he really took a look at both of them. Starbolt wore a mainly white suit with red and golden accents. A golden "S" resembling a lightning decorated his chest, and a red cape blew with the wind as the superhero flew. The look was tied together with a red mask only covering his green eyes.
The other one, whose name Virgil didn't know, somehow matched with Starbolt while still standing out as his own person. He wore a baby blue suit with white swirls decorating it, a pink scarf acted as a mask that covered his face lower half while the ends blew behind him like Starbolt's cape, and a pair of pink ballet shoes. Taking a better look at him made Virgil realize he wasn't actually flying, but jumping higher up than humanly possible.
Virgil's thoughts were interrupted once again by his classmate's voice
"Aaand, up you go"
"Wait wha-" Virgil couldn't finish his sentence before his classmate tossed him back up in the air, only to be caught again by Starbolt.
Virgil held tightly onto the man's shoulders as they landed, a crowd formed around them as the people clapped and cheered.
"Thank you, thank you. No need to clap really." Starbolt landed and let Virgil down on the ground safely, "I can't take all the credit, right Blaze?"
Blaze landed right next to them, Virgil couldn't see his face but could still tell he was smiling. "We did a great job!" Blaze eagerly mentioned as he highfived Starbolt, "You don't need to be modest about it"
Virgil was left standing between the two heroes. There were a million questions in his head and he couldn't even get a word out. So many things happened all at once and his mind was still trying to process it.
A buzzing sound and... a voice? Came out from an earphone both heroes were wearing, but Virgil wasn't close enough to understand the words.
Without even looking at each other, as if they were connected telepatically or something, both heroes bowed to the crowd around them and took off. Virgil watched as they flew and jumped away respectively.
Great, now what?
"You survived, awesome"
"Ah!" Was the only noise Virgil could let out after his classmate surprised him once again. "Not thanks to you and your friends"
"Pff, those guys? Nah we're not together. I just make sure they don't kill half the city's population with their neglect. Starbolt thinks he was quick enough to drop you, go and save more emo teenagers and come back before you splatted on the concrete and became a puddle of blood and broken bones."
Virgil rolled his eyes, "Thanks for that image."
His classmate smiled, "Don't mention it."
"Shouldn't you be like, all dressed up and protecting your identity or whatever?" Virgil asked, as he made his way back to the sidewalk.
"It's not like anybody pays attention to us, we're invisible. The only reason you recognized me it's because we go to the same school, but you clearly don't even know my name"
Virgil stopped and turned around to look at his classmate eye to eye, deciding to ignore the fact that he had to look up to actually do that. "Can you blame me? I just moved in and your school is full of douchebags who don't care about anyone but themselves. Do you know my name?"
He shrugged, "maybe I know, maybe I don't. I'll find out, we have our ways."
"Who's we?" Asked Virgil, "you keep saying that"
His classmate grinned and pointed towards the top of a nearby building with his eyes.
Virgil followed the teen's gaze, spotting another masked figure, a much darker one. This... hero? Was wearing all black, had a bowler hat a cape that matched, only his green half phantom of the opera style mask stood out from the darkness surrounding him.
Virgil could swear they made eye contact before the figure disappeared between the clouds.
"Welp, gotta run Virge." The teen announced, causing Virgil to shift his attention back to him. "Nice keeping you from becoming a resident in hell!"
"Wait so you did..." Aaand he was gone, "...know"
Whatever, it's not like Virgil cared that much, he had other stuff to worry about.
Stuff that kept Virgil's superhero encounter in the back of his mind the rest of the day, the next morning, and even halfway through the school day. And it would have stayed that way if it wasn't for-
"Hey VV!"
That.
Virgil gripped the sides of his lunch tray as he turned around and sure enough, there he was, same guy from yesterday.
He tried to ignore him, but it was hard considering the school's cafeteria was hardly double the size of a regular classroom. Even being at opposite sides of the room, they were still close enough to clearly notice each other.
Virgil sighed, it couldn't be worse than eating by himself. He walked over the table where his classmate was sitting, squeezing through a crowd of teenagers trying not to ruin his food.
His classmate smiled, "glad to know you haven't died since we last saw each other."
"Could tell you the same thing." Virgil replied wit a sarcastic tone, "are you going to tell me your name now or am I going to be kept in the dark forever?"
"Mmm, I don't know. I like the mystery surrounding me"
"Please, there's nothing mysterious about you Remus"
Virgil turned around as another voice interrupted them.
"Whyyy do you haaave to ruin my fuuun?" Remus complained as the third person sat next to him.
"Telling the truth is not ruining your fun dear."
That voice... "It's you, the guy who helped me yesterday."
Virgil managed to catch his attention, "I am. No need to thank me or anything."
"And don't call them a guy," Remus chimed in, "they them pronouns for this handsome please."
"Or just Janus, some people are too stubborn to care about anyones identity."
"Right, sorry." Virgil apologized.
Remus wrapped his arms around Janus, kissing his cheek multiple times in an almost aggressive way. That's when Virgil caught on, they were dating. "I can... go and leave you two alone if you want."
"Please don't" Janus put their hand between their cheek and Remus' lips. "Maybe with you here this scumbag will have some shame and stop being so publicly affectionate."
Remus grinned, "not a chance."
Janus rolled their eyes, "I'll keep him in line. Take a seat Virgil."
Virgil did as instructed, "for people who just care about surviving, it seems like everyone around him knows my name."
"I said other people don't care," Janus corrected. "We're the exception that makes the rule."
"Right, and do you know your boyfriend is going around the city showing everyone his inhuman strength?"
Remus snickered, "boyfriend is a strong word. We're barely friends with benefits"
Virgil almost chocked on his food as he swallowed, "I-I'm sorry I didn't mean to assume I just-"
"He's joking." Janus interrupted, slapping Remus' hand as if they were reprimanding a little kid.
"You know you love me"
"And to answer your question," Janus looked back at Virgil, "I know. This idiot doesn't even try to cover his identity when cleaning those so called heroes' mess"
Remus groaned, "what's the point? It's not like they ever give credit or even say thank you."
"What is up with them anyway? Starbolt and Blaze?" Virgil's curiosity couldn't be ignored anymore, he had a million questions and couldn't figure out how to even begin asking them. "I didn't realized I was moving to Gotham."
That comment got a chuckle out of Janus. "At least Batman does his job right, those bastards are faker than-"
"My virginity!" Remus interrupted.
"Sure, that works." Janus sighed and took a bite out of an apple they had grabbed earlier. "We're pretty sure it's all staged, doesn't mean they're not putting innocent people's lives at risk."
"I think the clouds hide their wires" Remus said before slurping the last of his carton juice.
Virgil couldn't help but shake his head, "that would be true if they didn't open up around them."
Janus raised an eyebrow and glanced over at Remus. "What are you talking about?"
Virgil looked up rom his food, "haven't you noticed? They attract the sun beams or something."
"Maybe because yesterday was sunny?" Remus asked, his tone made Virgil think they thought he was joking.
"No... the only moment I've seen the sun since I got him was when I was in Starbolt's arms."
The couple looked at each other, confused.
Janus stood up and walked around the table, grabbing Virgil's hand without warning and pulling him up.
"W-wait wha-"
"Shh, just come with me."
Virgil pulled his hand out of Janus' grip, "I'm not going to be dragged away by someone I barely know without an explanation."
"Fine, you don't want to be dragged." Remus spoke from behind him.
Virgil turned around in time for Remus to grab him and carry him over his shoulder.
"P-Put me down!" Virgil struggled in Remus' grip to no avail. This guy really had superhuman strength.
Virgil's demands were ignored as Remus carried him around school. He gave up by the time they arrived to the main entrance.
Janus opened one of the schools front doors, "how's the climate today?"
"I would gladly tell you if Remus would let me down so I could look outside."
"No need!" Remus turned around so Virgil could answer without having to put him down.
Virgil sighed, he might as well answer and get this over with.
He looked up, a bunch of dark storm clouds made it impossible to actually look at the sky. Thunder and lightning accompanied the heavy rain, how come they coulnd't hear all this nose from inside?
"There's a storm" Virgil answered, plain and simple. "Will you let me down now?"
Janus looked up at the sky, "you're seriously not messing with me?"
Virgil groaned, "why would I be messing with you? It's right there."
Janus looked back at Virgil, then at their partner, making a sign to step out of the school.
Remus did as Janus signed, taking Virgil out in the storm with him.
"W-w-wait no! You don't know how bad my hair gets with humidity! The last thing I need is people making fun of..."
Virgil looked over at Remus, who remained completely dry under the rain. Virgil on the other hand, was already soaking wet after just a few seconds of being carried under the rain, "what?"
"Huh" Janus' face couldn't hide their surprise. They pulled Remus and Virgil back into the building.
Remus finally let Virgil down.
"What was that about? He's not only super strong but also waterproof?" Virgil squeezed the water from his sleeves and tried to fix his hair as he complained.
"He's not. There wasn't any storm outside, I thought you were joking but looking at you now... something else is going on here."
"No shit Sherlock" Virgil rubbed his face, accidentally smearing his eyeshadow.
Remus sighed, "you treat this like joke, but it's something serious. If sunbeams were following those assholes around that means they have something to do with this!"
Virgil shrugged, "why does that concern me? You and your mr. Black cape friend are the ones cleaning their mess, not me."
The three teens were getting annoyed at this point.
"It concerns you because you're the only one who can see what's happening" Janus explained.
"And that is not my fault. Go and ask anybody else if they can see the fucking storm becase I'm not getting myself involved in this craziness!" The lights flickered as Virgil lost control. He took a deep breath, he needed to calm down and just let everything go before anything suspicious happened and he had to flee again.
Janus looked up at the lights, then back as Virgil. This guy was nervous about something. "Look, we're not going to deep dive into why you have this ability if you don't want us to but we need your help."
Virgil crossed his arms, looking at his classmates as he analyzed his situation.
"It's up to you, but remember I can keep carrying you anywhere we want" Remus shrugged.
Virgil sighed, "and then you'll leave me alone?"
Janus nodded, "we will."
"Fine then," Virgil caved in. "What do you want me to do?"

It’s 11:59pm
It seems my late night writes are romance ones…
Her hands brushed against his skin. The touch leaving his skin ablaze. It burned at the slightest touch, but left him just as deathly cold from the loss of contact. Her hand so soft and gentle; he wanted nothing but to hold her close and tight. But the feeling disappeared just as quickly, as she slipped her hand into his. A gentle squeeze from her sent shivers down his spine. A sign of reassurance that she was here and would never leave.
What does this say about me🙃

G/t idea:
What if G/t aliens. Like the aliens are either tiny or giant sized
YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH I WANNA DO THIS
I'm not sure if anyone has noticed but there's a 5th series on my master post called "Men are from Mars" and I am SO excited to write it. It's likely not going to be near as long as anything else I've been writing (maybe 10-30 chapters max). It was originally going to be just a short, but the idea felt so fun and goofy that I'm absolutely dying to write it.
Basic premise : Group of Aliens on a "Boys trip" get stranded on earth, intercepted by a group of women out on their own annual "girls trip"
It's gonna be very silly, pretty campy, and all around fun. It's basically to both poke fun at but also appreciate the ridiculousness of the scifi alien romance genre- so expect some silliness.
It's a back burner plot for right now, but given it should be fairly quick to complete I'm thinking of aiming to drop it sometime in the summer

Guess we need the Ranboo and smile fic now- /j
I know you said /j but,,
TWs: fear :/ (not poggers)
Oreo: C!Ranboo
Whisp: C!Dream (altered)
Bee: C!Tubbo
Theseus/Tom: C!Tommy
Oreo knew Whisp’s rules.
Never go outside, water would hurt them and it’s everywhere.
Never speak with others, they’ll try and convince you to go outside.
Never be seen without a mask.
Most importantly, if someone with a mask with an X appeared, hide and don’t come out until Whisp can make them go away.
They hated the rules, and yet, he couldn’t bring themself to break them. Something about those rules instilled fear in their heart of the world around them: they didn’t want to be hurt.
Unfortunately, Whisp was away on one of his day trips. They don’t leave often, probably once every two months, always bringing Oreo something back to add to his collection.
They weren’t without entertainment either, he had plenty of things to do. They had television, books, papers and pencils, and a comm that could directly message Whisp if he needed anything.
But they were bored. They wanted something else, something new. He pulled out their comm and messaged Whisp, ‘plz bring new movies’, to which he got an immediate response of, ‘course, anything specific’.
They responded, ‘nothing really, just no horror’ before there was a knock at the door.
Oreo stood up and wandered towards the door, looking out the peephole. Two teenagers, one with blond hair and red horns, and the other with brown hair and ram horns.
“Hello?” They asked quietly. “Hey! We wondered if you wanted to come outside and play with us!” The blond teen responded.
“I-I’m not allowed outside.” He answered back. The brunette gasped. “Why not?! It’s a great day! This is horrible, no one should be stuck inside all day!” They finished.
“Yeah, come on big man, it’ll be fun! It’s not like there’s anything out here that’ll kill you!” The blond continued.
They thought about it momentarily before opening the lock at the top and the door. “O-okay. And for the record, I am no man.” He answered, taking a cautious step outside.
The two seemed ecstatic as they ran out onto the lawn. Oreo slowly followed, taking in all of his surroundings before making his way down the steps and shivering as they felt something cold go through their body.
They smiled, quickly forgetting about the mask that they were told to wear at all times. “It’s so pretty.” He muttered, approaching the two. “Wow! You’re so tall!” The brunette announced, skipping around them.
“Huh, I guess I am.” They returned. “Come on, let’s go play around! I think there’s a park nearby. It’s got those new water things too!” The blond announced, pointing in the direction they were going to walk.
“I’m not allowed to go near water.” He announced. The blond turned to them immediately. “You have some weird f—ing rules man, like who the f— bans water? Not very poggers.”
Oreo paused. “I don’t think poggers is a word-” “Did you write the dictionary? Pretty sure you didn’t.” The blond returned. “Names Theseus, call me Tom for short.” The blond finished, holding out his hand.
He took Theseus’ hand, the other shaking it. “I’m Oreo.” They answered. “I’m Bee!” The brunette answered, wrapping the other in a hug.
“Let’s go to the park you two.” Tom continued, pulling Oreo along. Bee followed along closely, rambling about bombs or something else. He hoped it wasn’t bombs.
Tom led them to the park, immediately running towards one of the water guns that was on a swivel as Bee ran up to the other. Oreo didn’t approach the water and instead insisted on sitting on a nearby bench, where he could watch the two play around.
Bee and Tom were happily running around, trying to get each other drenched in the liquid. They smiled as Tom scanned the area, looking for Bee, he hoped.
After a moment of Tom looking around, the boy pointed the water gun at them.
Oreo panicked, raising their arms to protect their face from the small amount of water that would hit him. They panicked as their arms began to burn, moving quickly. The water didn’t stop coming as they jumped the bench, running as far away as he could from the spray. They held up their arms, cringing at the slightly red skin that had sparked from the water.
Their arms continued to burn as the water bubbled against their skin. He tried to wave it off as best they could before Bee ran over, followed by Tom. “Oreo, are you okaY- OH MY G–!” Bee shouted, getting a good look at the offended area. “Holy s—, Tom, give me your bandana.” Bee instructed, balling up the sleeves of his sweater in his fists and rubbing away the water. Tom quickly untied the blue cloth from his neck and handed it over to Bee, who took it and tied it tightly around the burn on one of their arms.
“So that rule exists for a reason, good to note.” Tom muttered, digging into his pocket for his phone. “Is there something else we can use for a wrap?” Bee asked. Tom shook his head.
“My mask-oh I forgot that at home…” They muttered awkwardly. “Oh s— is that going to end up being some weird and obscure allergy like the water thing?” Oreo shook their head.
“Not really, I’ve gone days without wearing it. I’m just not supposed to be seen without it-” “OREO!” They turned their head to spot someone in a bright green hoodie running towards them. Whisp.
“Oreo, no, what are you doing outside, come on, let’s get you back-” The man hurried, beginning to push the tallest away. “Hey! You can’t do that, they need to go outside!” Tom argued, stepping in front of them.
“Normally yes, but it’s not safe. Come on Oreo-” Whisp strained before Bee pulled him off. “Why can’t I be outside, Whisp?” They asked.
“There isn’t much time, I saw him, he’s going to come get you.” Whisp hurried. “...who?”
“Fourth rule, the man with the X on his mask. He’s been hunting down the remains of the Ender Kingdom and is unfortunately a god, meaning I can’t stop him without help. I already had a friend get in contact with the only other god I know.” Whisp rushed, frantically looking around.
“Okay, since you three aren’t budging, if you go to my house I’ll buy the three of you ice cream when this is over.” Bee began to drag Oreo quickly. “This is the last time we ever break any rules.” They commented.
“Maybe other rules, but not these.” Tom commented quickly, leading the way. Oreo glanced back, panicking as he stared into the distance, finding a bright figure that Whisp was standing in front of defensively. “He’s here-” Oreo panicked, grabbing their two new friends, and within moments they appeared at the front door.
“What the f— just-” Tom began before Oreo interrupted. “Not now, just get inside-” Oreo began, pushing the two inside as Whisp was thrown just in front of the house. The enderman ran inside and closed the door, locking it before joining their friends in watching out the window.
The man with the X mask began walking towards the house before hitting an invisible wall that buzzed with light before shocking the stranger. The strange man was thrown to the floor as Whisp got up and began attacking them with a strange sword.
The three watched as the window’s vision was filled with bright green light, beaming down from the sky. The light cleared as a new man appeared on the grass. They wore a fancy purple and gold cloak that seemed to flow in the imaginary wind. The masked man seemed to panic, backing up as the new stranger approached them.
The new stranger stopped just in front of the masked man, raising an arm. “Parasite.” rang through their minds before a green blast covered the masked man, bright enough to temporarily blind anyone watching.
Once Oreo’s eyes were cleared, the masked man was gone, the only thing remaining was the mask that the cloaked stranger had lifted to look at. Bee quickly unlocked the door and ran out, followed by Tom, who stood watching on the edge of the porch as a sort of guard for Oreo.
Bee shouted something for Tom to hear, who turned to the enderman. “You’re allowed to come outside now.” He smiled.
They moved slowly with Tom, who refused to leave their side as they met up with Bee and the other two figures outside.
“What happened? That was some serious light show s—.” Tom commented as Oreo moved awkwardly. “Didn’t miss much, lots of lights. Just gotta send xer soul off to Lady Death and everything’ll be fine. Have fun you four.” The cloaked stranger smiled before vanishing.
“Who was that?” Oreo asked. “That was the god of Time.”
“What the f—.”

I think I’ve just had my first non gt fanfic idea.
It’s gonna take some hashing out for plot reasons, but how do we feel about about a Kristen centred fic?
This will probably take me ages to write but I think it would be a really good fic! Would be fantasy old time world, found family and finally be putting my romance writing into effect! So now think that gives an idea to where it could lead.
