note !! it's been a while since i've written hcs for a lot! aaaah just some thoughts i had today (i had a few culture shocks here and there when i met up with new friends hahahah)

~ m o n d s t a d t ~

grabbing zhongli by the hand to dance and sing in the middle of the square because mondstadters live for the festivities! he quickly learns to freestyle dance along with you, moving with the crowd and cheers and wine. (remember that Tangled scene? yes)

kaveh wasn't sure how to react the day you ordered hard liquor on your first date. sure, your freedom and love for a good drink is one of the things which made him fall for you but wow– are you really gonna down that many glasses on a date? what do you mean you're still sober?

ayato finds himself in love with the way you sing. it doesn't follow the rules of inazuman opera at all; it's much more freeing (much like how his house help sings as he does chores) and you'd tell him stories and the history of your homeland in the form of songs. no mondstadter could ever forget the songs they grew up listening to!

heizou being almost appalled by your rather... robust and reckless nature. you don't have any backup plans whenever a situation goes south, you simply hold his hand, smile, and say "we go where the wind blows!"

diluc having chopsticks as part of your dining utensils because sometimes, you're more comfortable eating with it (let's not forget often having rice on the table! he must learn the joys of garlic rice with his steak <3)

dainsleif stays by your side as you offer incense and fruits to your ancestors. he whispers quiet prayers, bows when you do, and helps you clean their altars. he finds solace in the familial piety of liyuens– it makes him wish he could honor his ancestors with the same kind of peace as you do.

kazuha getting tongue tied over the language being so similar to inazuman but also so different– why are some of the characters the same? why are the meanings different? there's a bit of miscommunication in the start, but you both find your own ways to understand each other when words fail.

we all know gorou has always wanted to climb the mountains of liyue and you made it possible! meeting him by the docks and touring him around your home nation, you made sure to pick hiking routes with the most scenic spots, even managing to tour him around the jade palace and the floating lone island.

kaeya has no idea how you sit on the floor while being comfortable. you've made him sit with you once while reading a book, after that, his bones ached for days! shaking every time he stood back up!

albedo met you in the irodori festival- he painted you for practice and spark between you started. the long distance was difficult at first, but his long letters always had a little drawing of you and you'd send back the scent of cherry blossoms. klee would also send you letters, asking you to come visit soon!

childe loves a new fighting style; like most sword users in inazuma, you followed the raiden shogun's teachings– swift, efficient, and at one with the sword. he loves how you fight and it's often how you end your dates!

cyno was almost confident that you were playing a prank the day you said you'll make him your specialty and you showed him a platter of raw seafood. it's "sashimi and ngiri" you say, and he waited for you to explain the pun of your joke. it wasn't a joke.

thoma is quite used to mondstadters and inazumans, two very different cultures, then he meets you and your sumeru upbringing! you show him how to cook foods that can be eaten with hands, and your menu is often so colorful he can't help but admire it!

itto doesn't really understand the study culture of sumeru, but he totally supports whatever it is you're talking about and tries to add in comments (his comments don't exactly make sense though...)

scaramouche, in his "path of redemption and healing", unwillingly gets involved with you as you show him around the beautiful parts of sumeru! you argue that he needs a different, better outfit with a color scheme that matches his vision. he insists that the hat stays. you tell him he looks like an aranara.

al haitham was almost concerned the day you got a heatstroke after being in the desert for no more than a few minutes. snezhnaya has prepared you for harsh weather, but never the heat. soon enough your lover is carrying around heatstroke-first aid packs just for you.

bundling up tighnari's fluffy ears before setting foot in snezhnaya because you just know the cold would practically freeze them off. his tail also gets wrapped and bundled warm in the large coats you wear, protection from the harsh snow. he says he looks like a big lummox.

dates with him could range from eating ramen on your bed while watching the latest episodes of your favorite series, to going to different places (ex. an aquarium, a restaurant, a park, yeah you get it) just because he adores seeing you dressed up in different outfits.

and for the nights the both of you just want some fresh air but are too tired to get out of the house entirely, you guys spend hours upon hours on the rooftop lying down on a futon bed, watching the stars, and content with each other's company.

BAKUGOU KATSUKI "you're such a dumbass, sweetheart. you're lucky I love you"

it's been said and reasoned that bakugou would be someone that loves hiking or mountain climbing, that it would be a hobby of his, and he has done it multiple times. meaning he would know the areas on the mountain he's gone hiking on like the back of his hand.

he would know the spot where the air would be the breeziest, the spot where you could gaze at the sky at night and have a clear view of the stars, the spot where the river is clean and safe to rest by. most importantly, he knows where the both of you could watch the sunset together in peace, basking in the comfortable silence between you two.

katsuki is a morning person. he wakes up at 4 or 5, most likely to go out on a jog. on the mornings he comes back from his run and you're asleep still in bed, he makes breakfast and coffee for the both of you. and when he's feeling extra generous, he'd wake you up with breakfast in bed.

whenever the two of you go out for example to the mall, and you're feeling more hyper than usual, you somehow end up wandering away from katsuki without him noticing just because you saw a pretty keychain at the window of a store. when he turned around because he didn't feel your hand holding his anymore, he was surprised to see you weren't there at all. he had a pretty hard time finding you that day since he forgot he couldn't call you because you gave your phone to him saying you're afraid you might accidentally leave it somewhere and forget.

after that's happened a couple of times, he learned to just carry you around (in a not so elegant way, may I add) just so you would stop wandering away from him and having him look for you everywhere.

we all know he cooks. and he's good at it, obvs. some time in your relationship, you ask (beg) him to teach you how to cook. whether you really don't know how to, or you were just looking for ways to spend more time with him. at first he thought it would be a waste of time since he could cook for the both of you anyways. his words not mine. but eventually, after some convincing, (he knew you wouldn't stop pestering him about this) he gave in and taught you how to cook.

and on the nights neither of you have the energy to make dinner, you take quick trips to any fast food restaurants that are close by. (much to katsuki's dismay)

KIRISHIMA EIJIRO "put your hand on my chest, darling. can you feel how it beats for you?"

when I saw the pic at the middle left I immediately thought of kiri. it's just idk I always thought of him as such a loveable sap.

whenever you feel sad, under the weather, or generally just upset, eijiro sets a mission to make you feel better asap. he often does that by taking it upon himself to wrap you in his arms completely. almost in a sense of shielding you from the world and anything that could possibly harm you.

he's aware of how big of a man he is physically. why wouldn't he be after so long of consistently going to the gym? despite that, he's the type to engage in play fights with you. doesn't matter if it involves pillows, tickles, or whatever else.

and obviously, with all that muscle of his, it's given that he'd win all those fights. but he doesn't. he humors you, let's you win from time to time, just so he could see that wide grin of yours when you manage to pin his arms down after hitting each other with your pillows for minutes now.

eijiro loves physical touch. being able to feel you reminds him of how this is real. it reminds him that you're there for him. and he'll always be there for you too.

therefore, he always has to be touching you. whether it be in the form of a hug, intertwined fingers, his arm around your shoulder, or just a single finger poking at you.

every time the two of you go on a date, he always brings you a gift when he picks you up. one time it was a shark stuffed toy, another time it was a slice of your favorite cake, and sometimes it was a bouquet of flowers. he would give you anything that reminds him of you and everything he knows would make you happy. heck he'd give you the world if he could.

KAMINARI DENKI "hey, sunshine! you're everything to me. you know that, right?"

every time the two of you go out, it's an unspoken rule in your relationship to make sure you take pictures of each other. the both of you say that it's for the memories, but the truth is that you guys just think that one another is so pretty.

denki is starting to think how ridiculous it is that he still gets flustered by how good you look whenever the two of you go on dates, considering the huge amount of times you have gone out with each other.

dates with him often include games, theme parks, arcades, and whatnot. he says it gives him the chance to show off to you how great of a boyfriend he really is whenever he wins a game or when he wins you something.

on late nights where neither of you are managing to get some sleep and are starting to get restless, you end up either at a playground or a convenience store near by. you go to a playground when both of you still have a decent amount of energy you need to get out of your system. on the other hand, you two go to a convenience store just to pick up snacks for a late movie night where you both know very well you're going to fall asleep to before 30 minutes has even gone by in the film.

there are afternoons where the both of you prefer a quiet time, and you could only be doing one of three things. you playing with denki's hair, denki writing on your hand, or you both taking a nap while having your arms around each other.

y'all def make playlists for each other

denki absolutely adores the idea of having matching outfits and clothes with you. the clothes that you both wear that pair well together makes him feel like you two make a great pair yourselves. he goes shopping with you just for the chances to find matching clothes for you both. whether it be pajamas, casual clothes, or something like the pikachu onesies he loves.

MINA ASHIDO "you're the prettiest sweetheart I've ever set my eyes on, honey"

there's something about the way mina dances that just wants you to do the same. you may not know how to dance but that doesn't matter. she guides both of your bodies through the rhythm of the music that's playing in the background, all the while both of you are looking at each other like you're the only people that matter right now.

yeah, that's how some late nights are when you're with her.

I also feel like she's the type to know how to roller skate, and she loves it. she loves the feeling of being able to freely glide on the floor without a care in the world. and since she loves it, it only makes sense that she introduces it to you.

the two of you often go on dates to the roller skating rink, and she makes sure that the both of you have so. much. fun. she's not letting the day end until both of you have jaw aching grins on your faces.

she loves loves loves having matching things with you!!! unlike denki, she doesn't only like having matching clothes with you. the two of you have matching shoes, necklaces, bracelets, hair accessories, purses, almost anything you could think of.

you know when you're supposed to be doing a deep clean in your room but then you find stuff that you completely forgot you own underneath your other stuff that's been piled up then you get distracted by it and play around with everything? yeah that's you and mina on weekends you decide to actually clean up either one of your bedrooms. any found accessory that you guys come across, you manage to put everything on.

intimate times with mina consists of doing skincare together, doing each other's makeup, and generally just making each other the prettiest you've ever felt. all while you're listening to music together.

Hope this is what you had in mind. I've been enjoying your requests way too much. I had a rough week, and it ruined my whole mood and affected my writing so I'm sorry if you don't like it.

You used to be a very independent female, you always bickered with your mate Rhys over his overprotective character, you would spend hours explaining to him that you need some space to breathe and him shouting that he just wants to keep you safe. That was until he got trapped under the mountain, you yearned for him, and guilt burned in your blood, you couldn’t understand why you kept pushing him away. Then he came back and the trauma of losing him changed you completely, you couldn’t stand being away from him even for a minute, and even if you were in the same room, you would panic if you weren’t touching him. Rhys was enjoying your new clingy self way too much. Wherever he was sitting you would crawl on his lap, when you had dinner, you would sit next to him holding his hand and during the night you would climb on him and sleep, covering him like a blanket.

You were hanging with your family at the house of wind, Nesta and Feyre were bickering about something, Amren was watching them with a smirk on her face and Mor, Cassian, Azriel and Rhysand were lost deep into conversation about the court of nightmares. You were sitting on your mate’s lap, resting your head on his shoulder as you watched everything that was happening around. Rhys was playing with your fingers as he talked. You felt safe in his arms, his warmth and the beating of his heart making you feel sleepy and before you knew it your eyes closed, and you got lost in the darkness.

“I can fly there faster than you can winnow” Cassian boomed, and Mor snorted.

Rhysand stiffened and glared at his brother.

“Keep it down, y/n is sleeping” he hissed and his grip around you hardened.

Cassian frowned but didn’t say anything. Everyone watched with soft smiles on their faces as Rhysand got up with you in his arms and walked to the balcony nodding at them goodbye. He winnowed home and carried you to your shared room, after he removed your clothes and his own, he laid on the bed and placed you on top of him, sighing at the feeling and caressing your back. He fell asleep with a smile.

Morning came and you woke up crying. You had a nightmare of losing him again. He held you in his arms while you wept, kissing your head and murmuring sweet promises about never leaving you again. You spent the whole day clinging onto him like your life depended on it and whined when you had to get ready for dinner at the house of wind. Your whines broke Rhysand’s heart and he followed you around as you got ready, his hand never leaving yours.

“Winnow or fly?” he asked.

You thought about it for a bit and grinned as you said “Fly”.

He had already summoned his wings since he knew you would choose flying, you wouldn’t miss the opportunity to be in his arms.

When you landed on the balcony, he tried to place you on your feet, but you quickly manoeuvred yourself and wrapped your legs around his waist, nesting your face in his neck. He chuckled and his one hand moved beneath your bottom, he gave your butt a squeeze making you yelp, and his other hand went to your back, rubbing soothing circles.

“Are you comfortable pretty girl?” he asked and left a soft kiss on your head. You hummed and he smiled.

He walked inside and you heard Azriel chuckling.

“Look at her” he exclaimed “so cute” and with that he came and ruffled your hair making you giggle.

Rhysand quickly turned his back on Azriel muttering “mine” for only you to hear.

“Yours” you breathed and hugged him harder.

You spent the whole evening on Rhysand’s lap, peaking your head from his neck only when you wanted to participate in the conversation.

“So, I was thinking about going to Rita’s, it’s been a while since the three of us spent some time together” Cassian spoke and pointed to Azriel and Rhysand. Then his eyes fell on you, and he sighed “If dear y/n decides to stop acting like a baby of course”

You froze, your eyes filled with tears, and you got up, you moved so fast that Rhysand didn’t have time to grab you.

You mumbled “sorry” and ran out, jumping off the balcony and winnowing to the river house.

You slipped into bed and cried. You were so lost in your own trauma that you didn’t think if Rhys was okay with you clinging onto him. You didn’t know how long you stayed like that until your mate’s warmth filled your body and his arms wrapped around you.

“Don’t cry sweetheart, Cassian is an asshole” he murmured in your hair.

“He is right though I’ve been unbearable since you came back” you sniffled.

“No, you haven’t. I’ve been enjoying every second of it so much that I don’t think I will be able to live without you in my arms. Please don’t stop” his voice was breaking.

“But...”

“Shh” he cut you off and you felt the familiar talons caressing the shield around your mind. You let him in, and he planted his last memory there for you to see.

You saw yourself jumping off the balcony and then the gaze turned to Cassian, and a low growl left Rhysand. You felt his fury and the dark power that flowed from him into the room.

“What the fuck was that?” Rhysand yelled and moved closer to Cassian, he grabbed the collar of the general’s shirt and pushed him against the nearby wall. Cassian paled as he watched his brother’s fury.

“Did you even stop to think for a second before this bullshit left your mouth?” Rhysand snarled, his voice lethal and filled with painful promises.

“The female you just offended lost her mate, she had to spend 50 years of her life alone, worrying about her mate’s life… and when she finally got him back, she is considered clingy because she’s afraid of losing him again?” He pushed Cassian harder against the wall. You could feel his hands trembling as he used most of his power to keep himself from punching the warlord.

“Rhys I’m sorry I was just having a rough day, I didn’t mean it” Cassian’s voice was sincere, and you believed him, you knew he loved you and he would do anything to protect you.

“Tomorrow you will come at the river house, and you will apologize to her” Rhysand said and let go of him.

He stepped out of your head and tapped on your shield, you lifted it again and turned to look at him.

“Please don’t stop yearning for my touch.” He whispered.

“I don’t think that I’ll survive without you holding me” you whispered back and rested your forehead against his own.

When I read this the first one that came to mind is Vylkas who is chaotic evil : he will murder anyone who looks at you, rubs your belly, makes any lame pregnancy jokes, or doesn't get up so you can sit down on the subway. It is his way. He would be more reluctant to take pictures because nobody gets to see your cute belly but him! If you insist, he would probably secretly murder the photographer afterwards, tbh

Idreod is deeply confused. He has no idea what to do with all of the love bubbling inside of him, which will express itself in extreme protectiveness. He will glare at anyone who looks at you and carry you around because he's convinced your feet might hurt or someone might bump into you, even if they don't. He will also be the one you catch silently staring at you from across the room with tears in his eyes. If you were able, he might actually take you back to your home planet for safety.

Pretty much all of the Orcs will be doting and protective, but mostly doting. You want a certain food? They are out climbing mountains, threatening shopkeepers, and doing whatever else it takes to cure your cravings. They're buying piles of maternity clothes so you feel comfortable and lots of little accessories like slippers, face masks, and headbands.

Hugo will be deeply, deeply turned on. Your tummy filled with his baby melts his brain, sending him lusting after you. Hugo is the pregnancy glamor shot guy ^_^ There will be photoshoots for every stage of pregnancy

Kostas would be so very, very proud of you. His little darling carrying his big baby would just drench his heart in warm fuzzies. He would very carefully research human pregnancy and try to supply all of the necessary equipment. He'd be extremely patient with your moods, as well.

Nasos would be utterly bewildered and confused, as if this wasn't a natural product of having sex. He would probably buy a ton of stuff, only about half of it actually useful and run around in a somewhat panicked state calling Kostas for advice every time something he didn't expect happens.

Severin and Cedar would be the most hands off outwardly, because they are proud of how strong and independent you are. There would be a lot more sneaking behind your back so stuff you need or want "magically appears" when and where you need it. When they get you alone though, everything would switch and they would be very eager to rub lotion on your belly and massage your ankles.

Heath would be extremely encouraging, helping you get your steps in and teach you different yoga exercises and breathing techniques. He would also be the one who brags the most about your pregnancy. At the shop, he would be keeping the little old ladies updated about the progress and how cute you look in all of your maternity clothes. He'd come home with all sorts of gifts and family secrets to help with morning sickness!

Last Twilight Ep 9 Stray Thoughts

Last week, Day and Mhok went to Aon's wedding, opting to ditch Night along the way (obviously Mhok collaborated with Night). They had a fun time on the beach, gave a pretty good kiss, and then had a really weird picking on each other moment. They changed into fantastic outfits for the wedding, danced to a Satang song, and then Day's dad appeared like a jump scare.

I'm really glad we're opening with the stuff about Night, but maybe we should not do this at someone else's wedding? Party foul.

Thai people's strong regional preferences around their cuisine are so compelling to me. So much character building goes into where people are from and what food they enjoy.

Day resenting the way Night has changed, clearly because he feels guilty, as feeling like he's losing his position to Night makes sense. He blames Night, so it's easier to funnel his resentment there.

I know we are not going to miss the opportunity to see the Last Twilight picture. Quit playing.

There's a lot going on with the dad's reveals. I was expecting Night to be the one driving, but Day eventually settling on admitting that he missed his dad and things felt off without him also really works for me. I think it's the dad owning that he is the one who messed up, especially when it comes to his wife, is what does it.

I feel like I mention this every week, but I really enjoy the quiet way Mhok listens and the way he just looks at Day.

Day obviously having issues with his vision, going quiet, asking Mhok to take him to the mountain, and then Mhok trying not to cry. They got me.

This wedding tradition of regifting the books whips extreme ass.

My goodness this little montage following the path of the book is excellent.

Oh, excellent. They have to stay at a little hotel away from prying eyes. It's time, baby.

Yes, Day, take the lead.

Alright, Cherry. I was worried about you for a second there.

Well, as soon there was a guitar there was no stopping it.

Jimmy and Sea practicing being comfortable with skinship in front of others has really paid off in this show. There is a difference between Mhok gently guiding Day and Mhok wanting to casually touch his boyfriend.

Okay, Aof, thank you for having a character say they want to do it. I approve.

It's 2024! We all verse now! That was a really tasteful scene. I got what I needed.

Cherry, that was so dramatic goddamn.

They really brought no water??

Honestly, the whole running plot earlier in the show is paying off hard on this mountain climb. They've done athletic things together, so there's earned trust here that reads well.

Oh, whew. Mhok brought water.

Oof, they're priming us for mom drama.

I got so overwhelmed during the mountain climbing scene. Aof, please stop tormenting your crews with these scenes.

Queers yelling at vistas or the sky will never get old for me.

Sea has a great voice for this scene on the mountain, actually.

Damn, they got me again.

Well, that was an excellent episode and also a good preview. I'm actually looking forward to seeing Mhok quit because he can't be Day's caregiver with this between them. I really like the way the intimacy has been paced in this show and how earned so much of it has all felt. This is a really good show.

since it's my birthday I'm sharing what I have (ROUGHLY) written down so far for my ot3 video analysis' section on the long way down job (if you haven't been able to figure it out yet, that's one of my favorite episodes)

Here we are seeing the aftereffects of the San Lorenzo Job in real time in the relationships between the characters. It seems as though Hardison is feeling off-balance in his relationship dynamic with Parker, who we we remember confessed her feelings and willingness to pursue a relationship with Hardison at the end of the Big Bang Job (note, there weren’t many relationship developments that happened between them in the San Lorenzo Job for obvious reasons- i.e. they were actively trying not to die). Hardison, who has been living that slow-burn life for the past three years is obviously ecstatic that this is happening, but it seems as though there is a disconnect between his expectations and reality of the relationship. NOTE: One of the wonderful things about Hardison is that he doesn’t expect anything from Parker- he wants her as she is in whatever way he can have her. When I’m talking about expectations, I’m saying that he doesn’t know how to act with this new relationship development- he doesn’t know where the ‘lines’ are of Parker’s comfortability and what she is ready for, which is leaving him a bit confused and unsure of how to act.

For example, he goes in to hug her but she either doesn’t notice, doesn’t compute what he’s trying to do, or isn’t up for that level of physical affection at the current moment. She high-fives him instead

[significance of eliot 'don't touch me bro' spencer not only giving hardison a hug but INITIATING IT because parker didn't take his open arms as an invitation. talk about how much lighter he looks after the events of the san lorenzo job- it's almost like a literal weight has been lifted off his chest]

It’s easy to see the Parker-Hardison dynamics in this episode, but don’t miss how there is also significant development in the relationship between Parker and Eliot. Parker and Eliot are paired off for most of this episode climbing the mountain to try to recover the incriminating notebook from the dead mountaineer. They work efficiently in tandem, literally keeping even pace with one another.

[talk about heart-wrenching cave scenes here]

And when they’re free, this closeness and ability to be on the same wavelength is displayed when they are confronted by the gunman looking to destroy the evidence. He grabs Parker and points a gun to her head, demanding that Eliot hand over the notebook. She yells at him to not hand it over, but in actuality, she is distracting the gunman from noticing her sliding the dead man’s cellphone with an incriminating video into his pocket. Eliot plays along and into the bit, throwing the notebook over to get Parker back.

[talk about hardison being so happy to hear parker (and eliot) over the comms. talk about how he isn't expecting a hug and is resigned (if not content) to do a high five and is floored when parker practically jumps into his arms. where she knows it's safe and warm.]

Neil held cold metal in the palm of his hand, his fingers trembling over the shiny object. God, he thought, let them know it’s for the better.

Let Todd know that he never found another person that understood him as greatly and as openly as he did. Let him know that he is proud of him for changing so much in such little time. He doesn’t need him anymore, Neil thought. Now, he can fade away while someone else steps into the spotlight. It was always for the better.

Let Charlie know that he loved him because he could not always understand, and yet he tried. That they were kids together, and in a few months, Charlie will be older than Neil ever got to be. He deserves it. He deserves to be older, to be independent, to love freely and carelessly like he has always wanted. If Neil’s absence could push him forward and stop him from caring about how his friend felt, he knew it was for the better.

Let Mr. Keating know that his impact was far greater than he could ever imagine. His influence encouraged Neil to scale mountains. In the end, though, there is always a choice; to glide on wax wings or painstakingly climb back down. That, in death, he flew.

Let you know that he loved you. That he always loved you. That your whispered words were ichor to his ears, your touch a saccharine balm to the parts of him that ached the most. If he thought about it, he thought that in the entirety of his life, he would never find someone who made him shiver in the exact way that you did. He wants more than anything to tell you that everything he did is for you. You deserve better. Know it’s for the better, because the loss of him will surely open up your future to the same unearthly love that you brought to him.

Let his parents know that he will no longer be a problem.

Let the dead poets know that he is soaring.

Let everyone on the godforsaken planet he is leaving know that this is what happens when the sun’s heat caresses the skin on his back.

Let them know that everything is for the better.

The Ghouls and how they feel about you cuddling the Copia Plush

Ps. I've only ever written for Dew before so, I apologize if they seem out of character. And if things are repetitive, it's 3am and I'm so tired.

Warnings: there are slight sexual undertones for Rain but that's it

Dew

How he feels: Dew gets severely jealous. This demon will hide the plush when you're not home--places like up the chimney, under the bed, in the cabinet behind the food you haven't touched for months. He's tempted to destroy it, but he knows it means a lot to you, so he'll just keep on hiding it. For now.

How he deals: When Dew finds you cuddling the plush, he growls a little bit and huffs around. He throws a little demon temper tantrum until you put the plushie away and pull him into your arms instead. Even then, his tail still swats and hits the bed, hard, showing he's still angry regardless of his purring.

Mountain

How he feels: Mountain couldn't really care less. He doesn't mind the plush at all, albeit it's a tad bit creepy and he hates to wake up at 3am to see it staring at him when all your tossing and turning shifts it his way. He smiles at your enthusiasm though, silently basking in the joy it brings you.

How he deals: when he finds you cuddling with the plushie, Mountain can't help but break out in a confused smile. What is happening? "Is that.. Copia?" You'd nod, ready to hear what he's about to say but he just chuckles and shakes his head. "You're adorable. I'm next for a cuddle session, though."

Cirrus

How she feels: This woman thinks it's absolutely adorable that you cuddle a plushie version of her boss. She knows how much he and she and the band mean to you, so she doesn't say anything against it. Even if it is a bit silly to see, she loves how happy you are regardless.

How she deals: When she walks in on you cuddling the plushie for the first time, she had to leave the room to avoid blushing so hard. It was such a sweet scene, your eyes were closed and you had a small smile on your face. She felt her ears turn pink as she walked back into the room just to watch you as you slept and hugged the little red monster closer to your chest.

Rain

How he feels: Rain would rather a little version of his boss wasn't on the bed he likes to do... hellish things to you on... but as long as the copia plush is not in the bed when he wants to pounce, he's fine with it being there. He's jealous, yes. Will he admit it? Never. He would also much rather you have a plushie of himself...

How he deals: When he first sees you and the copia plush, he walks straight past you and to the dresser. Then does a double take-- "What is that?" You answer him innocently, hugging the plushie closer as you close your eyes. "Did I let you get that lonely? I'm sorry baby... wait, why didn't you get one of me?"

Swiss

How he feels: Anything you enjoy, he enjoys. He's called the multi-ghoul for a reason, and he's up for anything! Especially adding an extra special little guy to your cuddle sessions. He thinks it's sweet you have a reminder in the safety of your bed of his band, even if it isn't specifically him in your bed.

How he deals: The first time he sees you cuddling with the plush, he audibly "awe"s, and puts his hands up to his face dramatically. "You're so damn cute, look at that thing." He sits down beside you on the bed and brushes some hair from your face, leaning down to kiss your forehead before turning to the plush. "Don't go stealing my partner, boss."

Cumulus

How she feels: She thinks the plushie is mighty cute, and will occasionally borrow it for a cuddle session if you're away--mainly because it reminds her of you. And it smells like you since it's your comfort toy. She has no problem with you cuddling him, she thinks it's quite adorable.

How she deals: First time the ghoulette finds you cuddling copia plush? Her tail wags happily and she climbs in bed with you. Her long nails make work combing through your hair, helping you relax. She's such a sweetheart, she melts at the blissful expression you wear as you sleep with the lil guy in your arms.

Aether

How he feels: Aether... yeah, he already has one. But now there are two and you're cuddling with both? He's happy that you like it, and he's even happier that there's a new addition to the overflowing plushie collection he has!

How he deals: He jumps in bed, and big spoons the three of ya. His tail wraps around you and he hides his face in the nape of your neck, wrapping his hands around to hold you AND the two copia plushies in his arms. Is he purring? He's purring <3

Sunshine

How she feels: Sunshine is... indifferent? She doesn't mind one way or another, but she definitely doesn't think it's cute. It's... certainly interesting. And the fact that you cuddle and sleep with him is a little silly, she'll admit. She thinks it's sweet that you show enough interest in her band, especially one of her good friends and boss-- Copia.

How she deals: She wouldn't be caught dead cuddling the thing, but she absolutely tucks it in when she leaves for the day. What? It makes you feel nice when you get home! When she first finds you cuddling it, she's a bit confused as to what ball of bright red yarn you were holding, but seeing how ecstatic you were to have gotten him, she just smiled and gave you a kiss. "Well, I mean, if you like him..."

— quiet days were arisu's favourites. those in which the clouds swirled in a perfect way to cloud the sky and lower the temperature. the cold days when, as usual, he didn't have much to do, apart from lying with you in his bed and curling up comfortably in the silk sheets, feeling your body heat enveloping him in a sense of peace and comfort. his arms wrapped gently around your waist, not wanting to let go and trying to pull you closer to his body if possible. hiding his head in the crook of your neck, and inhaling your sweet floral aroma, leaving it impregnated in his clothes and in his memories. the sweet way he smiles against you as he buries his nose in your hair. listening to you speak between whispers as you tell him about your day. soon, your voice relaxes him so much that he allows himself to sleep a little, letting himself be carried away between your presence that calms him down and your sweet voice that lulls him to sleep. without a doubt, he would prefer these days over any other plan that comes to mind. definitely, these days are even more enjoyable now that he has you.

— chishiya is a quiet person, and you noticed that from the day you met him. he is very closed with respect to his emotions, and many times it is difficult for him to express out loud what he really thinks. however, being a fairly observant person and having known him for so long, it's not difficult for you to know when he's having a bad day and needs your presence to feel better (even if he denies it). his shifts at the hospital were getting heavier, and you knew better than anyone the injustices he had to endure. however, even though he doesn't say so, his actions show how good it is for him to come home and find you at home waiting for him. the moment when he arrives and throws himself into your arms without having to say anything to know that it is one of those days. the way your arms wrap protectively around his body, feeling a sigh of comfort leave his lips, and his hands wrap around your waist. cook him his favorite food and listen to him vent about what is bothering him. understand him, and without having to speak show him that you are there for him and that you care, your presence being enough to make him happy.

— before meeting you, usagi always believed that the only person capable of understanding and accepting her as she was, were the mountains. however, when you entered her life and she had the opportunity to open her heart to you, and, unlike the rest, you really cared for her without any ulterior motive, she knew that you were different. although it seems like something pretty common, climbing mountains for her is something she only enjoys doing in the company of someone she feels comfortable with. although it was a bit difficult because you were afraid of heights, usagi convinced you to go with her to a climb and she told you that she would protect you no matter what happens. trusting her, you accepted, and even though it was a little scary, you can't deny that you enjoyed doing it with her. from the top of the mountains, everything looks simply majestic. and usagi, she can't help but look at you with heart eyes, wondering how she was so lucky to end up with someone as wonderful as you, someone with whom she could share everything she felt without feeling judged. someone to trust and someone who feels like she finally accepts and loves her no matter what.

— things with kuina were painfully slow. from the moment she first saw you, kuina was head over heels for you, and everyone could tell just by the way she looked at you or how she treated you. the complicit smiles, the sweet looks, and the undeniable sweet words. falling in love with her, it was not complicated at all. but it was difficult to decipher if it was reciprocal. even though kuina was dying to tell you everything she felt, she was afraid that you wouldn't be ready to hear it. and yet, that night, under the cool breeze of night, and the moonlight surrounded by the twinkle of stars, it felt natural, as if it had been meant to happen forever. the familiar way your hands found their place on her face, and the way her lips seemed to fit perfectly with yours, joining them in a tender, sweet kiss. a kiss that could say more than a thousand words. and the moment you kissed her back, she understood that it was your answer. she understood that her feelings were reciprocated, and she couldn't avoid smiling during the kiss, feeling a horde of butterflies in her stomach, letting herself be intoxicated by your sweet presence and your undeniable love for her.

Lookism characters go on a trip to the mountains, pt. 2!

Jake & Samuel & Sinu

-Sinu was the one who insisted they go on a trip. He said it was “a bonding experience”.

-Samuel was not amused. Jake was secretly laughing at him.

-Sinu gets the most ridiculous clothes you can wear to the mountain trip. He wears a white t-shirt with checkered shirt on the top of it and very short, pink shorts. On top of all that he also gets checkered bandana that’s supposed to keep the hair of of his eyes. When Samuel sees him, he hides his face in his hands and rethinks all of his life choices that led him to this moment. Jake tells Sinu he looks great and he means it.

-Not that Samuel has anything to say in the matter of clothing. If Sinu wears the most ridiculous outfit, Samuel gets the most impractical. He wears a suit. Sinu makes fun of him for it and openly laughs at his choice of clothes, which results in Samuel insulting him right back. Jake also sneaks in some gentle teasing, small comments when Samuel is being too negative about their trip.

-Jake wears the clothes he normally puts on during a workout. He also gets a mountain backpack with three bottles of water, first aid kit, sandwiches and all kinds of snacks and a at least three maps of the mountain area (two of them as a backup if something happened to the others). He is only one that comes seriously prepared to spend a day in mountains.

-They go up the hardest mountain trial, all of them wanting the trip to be as exciting as it can, even Samuel.

-Sinu is the one who enjoys the views the most. He likes to take everything in and stops many times to observe the picture in front of him. He also takes a ton of nature photos. Because of that, they have to stop many times and wait for him to finish taking photos or just taking the vies in. Jake has no problem with it, but when it takes too long Samuel gets annoyed and tells him to hurry it up.

-Jake is mostly indifferent to the sights and just likes Sinu’s reactions to everything, glad that Sinu is having fun. What he enjoys the most is the challenge of the climb.

-Samuel doesn’t show it, but is impressed by the sights and starts to enjoy the trip after seeing some of the more impressive one’s.

-Samuel grumbles, sarcastically comments and complains the for a half of the way to the top. Jake gets annoyed at him few times and one time, they almost start to fight each other, but Sinu stops them. He bonks them both in the head and starts to serenade about the beauty of the nature and how they should enjoy it when they have a chance. It lasts 15 minutes. After he finishes, Jake and Samuel look at each other and with a silent nod promise themselves to not fight for the rest of the trip if it means not getting similar mind numbingly boring tirade again. After that, Samuel tones down his remarks and Jake tries to overlook the few that slip out.

-When they get to the top, they are all in good mood, happy with their accomplishment. Jake and Sinu are laughing and looking around and even Samuel cracks up a smile. The atmosphere is very calm and tranquil.

-They spend three hours sitting there on the top, talking and enjoying the snacks and sandwiches Jake brought. They simply have fun in each others company.

-They take a photo there, with all three of them together. Jake on the left, looking straight at the camera with a wide, happy smile. Sinu in the middle, full on laughing and slinging his hands around Samuel’s and Jake’s shoulders. Samuel on the right with a tiny, almost unnoticeable, but truly honest and content smile.

-Not long after that, they go down the mountain, mostly not talking and just hanging out in a comfortable silence.

-They get to the bus and Sinu falls asleep on the way back. Samuel sighs and chooses to ignore it but Jake smiles and shuffles Sinu so his head would rest on his arm and so his neck wouldn’t get sore. Samuel snorts at it but doesn’t comment. He spends the rest of the way back looking through his phone and the things he missed when he was without a signal.

-Even years later the trip is one of the most cherished memories of both Jake and Samuel, not that either of them would ever admit it.

-They all still have the photo they took on that mountain. Jake has his hidden in his coat’s pocket, with a few copies hidden in his desk as backup. Sinu’s one is still his old room, hanging on the wall, all framed up. Samuel keeps his hidden in one of his hideouts that nobody but him knows about. He goes there and stares at it sometimes, thinking of the times when everything was simpler.

On a lush, green plain where the warm sun glows, were some objects having their fun and relaxation. The time at the plain took a break when they found a cold and tall mountain up on the horizon. They made their way towards the mountain, out of the warmth they're used to live on.

The cold snow made a crunch everytime a foot stepped on it. There were conifer trees topped with more snow, and the mountain was still far away.

The trees were cleared out and they've reached a field of white, when they've heard a voice.

"Look who's there! Are you climbing up the mountain?"

The looked around and there was a snowman made of two snowballs, a big one for the body and small one for the head, eyes, nose, a mouth and buttons made of coal, arms made of twigs, and a dashing black top hat resting comfortably on its head.

"I'm sure you are." Says the snowman. "I'm Chilly."

"Gosh. Need a blanket?" Tape laughed with a humour that clings on to her like her sticky tape.

"Aw, don't be silly. My name is Chilly. And if you're climbing up this mountain, may it be yours!"

Who do we have here? 22 objects on their way to the top?

Birthday Card

A yellow birthday card. Birthday Card is full of excitement and always look forward for the next birthday, including hers. She would die if she's ripped into two.

Buoy

A red floating buoy. Buoy ensures the safety of anyone and keeps a good eye out for his team.

Cash Register

A cash register with buttons and a drawer. He has left his cash out of his drawer inside him when he had gone out on his journey up the mountain.

Dime

A white coin. She is nothing related to Nickel, or Coiny, or Penny. Dime has gone around looking for an object show that looks forward to have her in, and there she is. Sometimes she treats the objects as objects instead of characters.

Encyclopedia

A blue book. He just knows everything because his everything is inside him.

Ice Cream

A blue cup of vanilla ice cream. Ice Cream cares for his teammates when they have trouble or they're feeling down. The cold would save him from melting, so his only death threat is if his ice cream falls out of his cup.

Jelly

A jar of grape jam. She isn't too careful with her surroundings. Jelly would die if she shatters.

Jotter Book

A teal (jotter) book. He reflects what he has done and writes them in the pages inside him.

Lamp

A purple table lamp. Lamp is usually wide awake because each half of her takes turns to sleep.

Lapis

A neatly-cut piece of lapis lazuli. One of Ruby's 35 sisters.

Magnifying Glass

A magnifying glass. Inquisitive, Magnifying Glass always asks questions wherever she goes.

Microwave

A white microwave with buttons and a digital face. Microwave is glad to be someone useful and always care for others. His inside heats up when doing strenuous exercise. He would die if he blows up.

Nine of Hearts

A 9 of hearts playing card. She can do magic with her hands which other objects couldn't do. She is not related to Ace from PPT2.

Nut

An iron hex-nut. Nut may be small but he's a strong fellow, with arms (and his own body) of steel.

Orange Pop

A bottle of orange soda. He doesn't really care about anyone else. If he gets mad, the soda in him bubbles more and more. And just like Jelly, he would die if he shatters.

Potato

A brown potato. Potato is a klutz and doesn't know what he sees. He would die if he's mashed, chopped into two, or blown up.

Reflector

A yellow sign board. Whatever light that comes to her, Reflector brings up with the best ideas for the team.

Skiffle Board

A brown and blue washboard. Skiffle Board grew up out in the outback and made melodius tunes with a country band of other instruments.

Sugar Cube

A small, white sugar cube. She's cute being itty-bitty but also pretty sensitive. She would die if she was melted or smashed.

Tape

A yellow tape dispenser. Tape is just full of sticky jokes.

Yo-yo

A yellow and green yo-yo. Yo-yo is self-cenetred and thinks he's cool. He may be self-centered but he also cares for a people he's close to.

Zipper

A red zipper. Objects can enter him but they wouldn't know where he'll take them.

Magnifying Glass, full of curiosity, came forward and approached Chilly.

"Why only one of us? How will it be decided?"

"How will it be decided?" Responded Chilly. "You'll see."

Chilly went off and returned with feeders for each contestant hanging on his twig arms. The feeders have sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and peanuts stuck on them.

"The first few challenges are team games."

"These feeders will decide the teams. Hang them in the woods and it will attract either a bird or squirrel. So everyone, take one from my twig arms!"

Everyone took a feeder, hurried into the woods and hung them on branches of the conifer trees.

Dime's feeder fell off the tree and onto her face. A moment later, a bluejay went hopping and fluttering around her face.

"Ow- ouch! Ah! STOP!"

At another part of the forest, Orange Pop waited for something to nibble on the seeds. A squirrel popped out of a hole in the tree. Another came out, then another, and then another. When the feeder went empty, the squirrels jumped onto Orange Pop's bottle cap.

"GAAAAAH!!"

Orange Pop ran out of the forest and back onto the snowy field where Chilly laid two carpets on the snow.

"If you got a squirrel on your feeder, get on the green carpet. And get on the blue carpet if you got a bird."

Soon, the carpets were almost full.

Sugar Cube came in with a squirrel taking a nap on her head.

Magnifying Glass arrived with a red-chested robin perched on her hand.

Jelly was the last to arrive, sorting everyone into two sides.

"Is everyone here?" Asked Chilly.

"Great. The ones' feeders which attracted a squirrel and are now standing on this green carpet, welcome to

The Land Team."

"And for those's feeders which lured a bird and are standing on the blue carpet, you are on

The Sky Team."

They all began walking up a steady slope up the mountain.

Later at night, the objects got to the campsite. They tucked into the sleeping bags around a campfire for each team.

"Goodnight Yo-yo." Began Reflector.

Yo-yo responded. "Nighty-night."

"Goodnight Lapis, goodnight Sugar Cube."

Lapis hugged Sugar Cube to keep her much warmer in the cold.

"Goodnight Tape." Whispered Magnifying Glass.

And Tape replied. "Goodnight. Catch 'ya tomorrow."

The objects fell asleep, the fires glowed and crackled, the cold wind blew, and a day is coming to an end.

here is the first post i made on this - that list was specifically longer fics, so i'll go with shorter ones for this one :) and remember that i do not understand social interactions and rules and etc etc so i dont wanna tag anyone outright just in case it crosses any boundaries.

mountain ridge camp for boys by @/timetogoslumming - starting strong on a GOD DAMN LIE because this one is not short at all but i love it so very much. it could legit be an original story (i'd read the fuck out of a graphic novel of this) it's so well written, the plot is so well set up, etc etc etc its perfect. it hits all my favourite notes - davey going from an outsider to finding his place and feeling like he belongs, jack being a pining idiot, misunderstandings, realistically confusing teenager feelings, etc, etc. i haven't read it in it's entirety for a while but man it makes me happy. sometimes when i'm in my feels i'll pull up the scene where davey very gently handles a ribbon snake. it makes me happy

as you've always been by @/weisenbachfelded - another stunning lie on my part because this is 43,000 words!! ahh friends to fwb to strangers to lovers my beloved. jack and davey re-meet each other after years of separation on a flight - they learn about each others successes and the feelings they'd misinterpreted throughout their friendship. it's so Yearning, so very soft, and not quite as angsty as you'd think. it really does capture that bittersweetness of re-meeting a person you used to know, but also that lingering hope that oh, you do still know this person. and they still know you. it's just such a kind and gentle reading experience.

i pull the trigger (with my eyes closed) by @/we-are-inevitable (MASSIVE trigger warning for murder and suicide) - look man. i have spoken a lot about davey's patented inability to maintain a work-life balance and well. i'd really be letting the team down if i didn't recommend this fic.

i really love this fic as an incredible answer to the question 'just how far does davey's dedication to his family go?'. because davey as a character would give anything for his family, he's doing everything to keep them afloat, he's stressed, he's terrified, he knows he can never repay them for all they've done for him but he needs to try because what kind of son is he if he doesn't? this fic takes all that and goes beyond with it. davey's ruthless dedication to his family juxtaposed against his almost painful love for jack, and how those two things working against each other destroy him. it's intense. there's really no way for me to do this justice in just words alone so i highly recommend you read it (if you're comfortable!) and experience it yourself.

it's so easy (too easy) to love you by @/livesincerely - everyone and their fucking mother knows livesincerely's fics but i love this one so very very much. jack and davey being so in love it's second nature. it's everything to me. it's the perfect little pick-me-up when you've had a long and lonely day.

we'll climb mountains together by @/reluctantcoppercrowd - my favourite javid fic of all god damn time. the progression is perfect, the yearning is palpable, the character interactions and friendships are absolutely flawless, davey as a character is PERFECT (YES he is an awkward anxious autismo YES he is a badass who will kick your goddamn teeth in in the name of Justice NO he will not recognize that he did it at all nor will he accept praise for it THANK YOU), the conflicts are realistic (not only for the time period but the characters themselves process their thoughts feelings and anxieties in realistic ways), the time and effort put into good worldbuilding is PHENOMENAL, and the conclusion feels not only satisfactory, but EARNED. it is truly my favourite javid fic of all time forever and always. it's also not short at all. i'm sorry for the lies anon but i cant help it if things are just Good.

I might not be paralysed but I have a condition that often doesn’t allow me to put any weight on my right foot and sometimes I feel weak and shameful about it so it’s kind of comforting to read that.

I usually tend to write gn!reader so more people can read it, hope it's okay! :) I also decided to add some more characters as well (since I was feeling like it.) Didn't really proof read this so lets hope its alright!!

While Yae Miko might tease you at times, she'd make sure to never hurt you with her comments. The Grand Narukami shrine is located on top of a huge mountain, truly unfortunate since you couldn't climb all those stairs, but she'd make a point to visit the Yae publishing house more often, if not only to visit you right after. Yae would bring you snacks from the vendors she passes and share them with you during her visits. Often rambles about the work at the shrine and her authors, tends to have the latest gossip as well. ''Oh, come on, don't be so nervous. You tell me all about you, and I'll tell you all about me. Deal?''

Ganyu is a hard-working woman in need of a break. She'd offer to take you on a stroll in your wheelchair/to carry you when your legs would give up on you, but please tell her to lie in the grass with you! She'll have interesting stories to tell and would love to hear about your stories as well! ''This puts my mind at ease. I hope you enjoyed today as much as I did.''

Raiden Ei had been meditating in her plane of Euthymia for a good while!! You shouldn't be surprised when she invites you for a visit there! If you do happen to go outside with her, Ei will follow you around to help you when needed. With the two of you going around the city streets you're bound to get many goodies for free! ''Shall I let someone fetch some desserts for us? Hmm? You usually don't eat desserts in the morning?''

Shenhe loves that you accept her the way she is and can't help but enjoy every minute you spend with her, (even if she rarely mentions it out loud). She's very strong and would opt to carry you to each corner of Liyue if you need it. Shenhe might not be the most talkative person but you surely will feel safe and protected while she's around you. ''I wouldn't mind carrying you for a while longer. If you happen to feel fatigued we can take a break as well.''

As the 11th harbinger it's no surprise that Childe is stronger than most people. He wouldn't be seen pushing your wheelchair across the streets of Liyue harbor because he keeps insisting on carrying you. He always finds a way to bump into hillicurls to fights them with you in his arms. Childe might not be the best option if you want a quiet afternoon-- but you'd always be safe when he's around you. ''Morning, comrade! Ready to go on another adventure? Don't be surprised if we happen to come across another hillicurl camp. They have been everywhere nowadays.''

Albedo would be the one to invent all kinds of inventions to make your life easier. Upgrades to your wheelchair or crutches if you have the ability to walk with support, he can make it all. He comes down to make these inventions in the Knights of Favonious HQ. Tends to steal you away by asking you to test something new he made. You can assume that he will carry you up and down (at least once) from Dragonspine. ''Oh, this? It's a sketch I made a few days ago. You want to see more? Perhaps I should sketch you sometime.''

Manga With Me: MHA Pocket Theory

A Walk in the Forest

⚠️ Spoiler Warning: Discusses chapters through 322. No major plot points just some sweet, sweet character development.

I didn't go down this rabbit hole until @amardahlia commented on this post and now everyone has to think about this as well.

This scene has popped up in the manga many times as a recollection of the relationship that Bakugo and Deku had as children but it wasn't until I looked back to source the actual chapters that I realized that they have something in common. This is a memory held by Bakugo.

Why is that important? Well, chronologically, as pointed out by @amardahlia, the memory shows the two of them getting further and further apart even though we know that their relationship actually improves over time.

Historically, When Bakugo recalls upon this memory, it's never framing up their childhood "friendship". More to say, "this guy could never keep up with me when we were younger," than "this was a fond memory". In fact, it's typically what he recalls as he's puzzled by Deku's burgeoning strength and power as it is eclipsing his own. This scene is an indication of their rivalry or competition in Bakugo's mind. Never one to wait around for the weak, look at how Deku trails behind Bakugo. It's not even apparent what they're doing or where they're going. All Bakugo knows is that he leads the charge.

We've also seen that Bakugo's interpretation of past events between the two of them tends to be heavily skewed by an egocentrism steeped in insecurity (and maybe self-loathing). In one of the core memories that they both share, he mistakes Deku's genuine concern for condescension, equating the need for help with weakness. This sours the relationship and Bakugo constantly assumes he's being looked down upon or being made fun in instances where Deku is trying to connect to him.

I wouldn't be surprised if the reason they're getting further and further apart as the gap in their relationship is built is because, even though Bakugo reaches a level of respect and understanding with Midoriya, he can't help but still compare himself to him either. He recalls them being further and further apart to his own detriment. Now, instead of reveling in their power disparity, he's now constantly thinking about how far behind him Deku started and, subsequently how quickly he's been powering up. I believe that remembering it inversely in this way illustrates a growing unease and dissatisfaction with himself despite the positive change in their relationship.

Ultimately, all roads point back to Bakugo, obsessed with being victorious (his name reinforces this), constantly grappling with the idea that his strength may not be enough. He may not be enough. I reflect on this a bit here. For all his bluster and bravado, Bakugo is just wracked in self-doubt and insecurity and while this consumed him early on and reinforced an unhealthy dynamic between he and Deku, he's come a long way in mitigating that.

Prediction

This is also hopefully a good enough apology to @hxneyrosie who was having a good day before I opened my mouth on the internet.

I think that, by series end, we're going to find the reason why Bakugo refers back to this specific memory. Personally, I think that they're lost in the woods. I think Bakugo, with his predilection for mountain climbing/hiking, may have gotten them lost in the first place. But I also think that, as Deku's concern and fear around the situation grew, Bakugo kept his cool just like a hero would (despite also being scared) and led them out of that forest. He may have even comforted Deku which is how he initially began associating the need for help with weakness in the first place. Like, in his mind, "not only could he not keep up but he needed me," and that was another 1 in the Win Column for Bakugo. This would also presumably explain how, later, when Deku reached out in concern, he worried that Deku was looking down on him. Because when the roles were reversed that's exactly what he did.

Chapter 9: Deku vs Kacchan

Context - While the chapter starts with Deku talking about growing up in the same neighborhood, this scene in particular is actually a part of Bakugo looking back on Deku being a mere pebble along his path to becoming a hero. The quotes I removed were, "Your quirks so cool, Kacchan. Hope I get mine soon." to which Bakugo responds, "Whatever you get, no way it'll beat mine."

Chapter 117: A Talk About Your Quirk

Context - POV is ambiguous but I think the distortion of this memory comes as Bakugo's rage is simmering. He walks in silence in response to Deku's prompt while he's preparing to confront him. He's confirming his sneaking suspicion about the origin of Deku's sudden quirk development while also low-key reconciling his guilt from the events at Kamino Ward and it's all a bit much to bare. The recent turn of events challenges Bakugo's sense of self right as they hit a critical breaking point in their relationship. In his mind, the memory is at odds where Bakugo finds himself at a steady decline while Deku has begun to usurp that which he feels entitled to. Even the visual leading up to this moment of Bakugo leading Deku is just - 🫠

Chapter 275: Encounter, Part 2

Context - Heading to the first Shiggy Showdown, Bakugo chases after Deku to act as support under the guise of getting even after ending All Might's career. He recalls this memory while contemplating Deku's growth and his determination (and difficulty) to keep from falling behind. In fact, this visual precedes him taking a decisive leap ahead of Deku just to show himself that he can keep pace. This fight with Shigaraki ultimately ends with Bakugo being impaled when his body moved all on its own to protect Deku.
