Some little doodles from a chat tonight with buddies, just delving more into DC's mother's side of the family. Nimble and Shooting Star grew up pretty close, but drifted apart as they got older and started pursuing their careers. Now they both have adult children and have been trying to make time to catch up a little.

Blizzard and DC were always distant, even as colts. DC not able to keep up to his talented cousin, and Blizzard being envious of how everything in DC's life had seemingly been practically handed to him. As adults they don't really know each other, and haven't had any real desire to.

Frosty Fluff is an absolute delight of a pony. Makes the best snow for jumping in, always with that perfect satisfying crunch. Nimble was smitten right away, but it took a few years of friendship before she considered an actual date with the guy.

Hello again! Can't keep me out of the ask box forever! I'm a slippery lil' buggar. Anyhoo! I was just wondering, for those who have missed bits and pieces (me included) what does our Tales Of Gartha main cast look like? Who is part of it, and where can I- I mean... everyone who may be interested, go to see their beautiful faces in art form?

You know, I can share their turn-arounds here. I don't think I've ever shared the art here. Just over on my youtube.

This is Sunniva. He's our main character, and despite his current lack of wings, he's a moth. His species is something called a Fable, which is Gartha's form of fairy. They're all based off of moths, specifically, and he's based off of an owl-eyed moth.

This is Ery's old turn-around, but honestly, this one needs to be updated at this point. Her booty needs to be BIGGER and her forehead needs to be smaller. Also her little curl should be a little bigger.

But this is Ery's ACTUAL canon. She was just supposed to be like an easter egg in Star Palace, but she became pivotal to who Mirage was as a character.

Then there are her adopted children, the twins:

So this is Charade. He's far more quiet, likes to just sit and read, and do research. He's for sure a mama's boy. He loves spending time with Ery and really looks up to her.

And this is Nimble, his little whore brother. Nimble comes across as SUPER gay, but is actually the only straight character in the cast. He loves BIG women. Like, twice his height with the ability to crush his head between her warrior thighs? ABSOLUTELY, sign him the fuck up.

Muscular women, squishy, women, doesn't matter. He just loves women who could break him in half. Give him a warrior woman any day of the week.

Both of the twins were losely based off of the characters from NiGHTS into Dreams (because lol funny jester) and also Cirque Du Soleil outfits. Charade's cloak, and Nimble's outfit in general are based on Cirque outfits.

This is Ery's cat. This over 9 foot tall mechanical monstrosity is Ery's cat. His name is Slink.

There is another character, but she might actually be cut from the final production because things have shifted to the point where her character just straight up might not be necessary anymore.

Which means the cast is a bit of a sausage fest. lol

OC named Nimble -- a low-level dungeon enemy in an abandoned custom MMO game server that managed to masquerade as a tutorial/quest NPC, hoping that players will one day visit. Ends up tricking an explorer of dead worlds into doing some quests for him, but with every mission completed his form changes...along with many other things.

Eventually I wanna actually model him like he'd be ingame! The less polygonal doodles are testing how he'd look once he gets helped into the real world. It takes him a bit to learn how real gravity works.

What are the governments of Gartha like? Feudalism, Oligarchy, Aristocracy? Anarchy We know that both Night & Day kingdoms have a monarchy in place, but how to the citizens feel about that? Will the sudden stop in shift of night and day give them the opportunity to overthrough the bourgeoisie and establish a new form of government founded on the ashes of the former?

Also: Who will take the throne, Charade or Nimble?

OKAY SO, Feudalism is probably the closest thing to what Gartha has. But if I'm being fully honest, the entire society is broken.

There's something I can't fully admit because spoilers, and that bleeds into some of these details. Like... I literally cannot answer MOST of this question because it would spoil like, a good majority of the lore in general.

Even when it comes down to how the citizens feel about it. I can't even really talk about that until after chapter 1 (maybe 2) comes out.

All I can say is: It's not what you think it is.

As for the twins, I believe I made Nimble older by a couple of minutes. I suddenly can't remember for some reason. He sure acts like the younger brother, for sure. Charade is the most competent and responsible, so it would be better for him to have full control over the throne. However, Nimble is far more charismatic and has a better way with people in general. So he would best be suited as the King's advisor.

Together, they can balance each other out.

Though I wont say if that will actually happen or not. Just looking at them from a character basis.
