Right now, You’re fucking done with everything.

You’re done with Seonghwa, your boyfriend, you’re done with yourself, heck you feel like you’re done with the relationship.

Wooyoung doesn’t question you, instead he drives to your home, he does tell you that it will be okay every now and then. You wonder if your relationship with Seonghwa is in a critical position, you wonder if you would ever make up.

You do know the amswer to whose questions when you do reach your home and Wooyoung gives you a tight hug, “Don’t worry Y/N, you’ll work things out, Seonghwa loves you nd you love him, arguments happen once in a while, I just know that you guys are made for each other,” he says and you nod, wiping your tears, bidding him goodbye as well as thanking him.

Once you enter your home, you feel like the place is colder, is it because of the feeling of dread you have for when Seonghwa will return home or just because of the weather? Either way, you decide to wash up and immediately head to bed.

The past 24 hours have been odd, to say the least. Yoongi never really saw himself as someone that would intervene in the personal life of someone he knew nothing about. Being a drug dealer for as long as he’d been one came along with seeing your fair share of sketchy shit; but Yoongi had always been able to separate that from his personal life.

“I’ve dealt with these guys before, don’t worry, I know how to deal with them,” Yoongi was pulled from his thoughts by Jin, who was now seated across from him, eyes trained on the laptop in front of him.

“When you say you’ve dealt with them before, you mean…?” Yoongi’s voice trailed off slightly at the end, wanting to make sure he completely understood what Jin was talking about.

“Many people have tried to put hits out on me, and these guys are usually the ones they hire. More often than not, they’re dead before they even see me,” Jin’s eyes never left the screen as he spoke softly, the majority of his attention falling on what he was looking at rather than what he was saying.

“You don’t plan on just keeping us here until you kill all of them, do you?” Jin lips curled up slightly, a soft chuckle leaving his lips as he shook his head.

“Of course not, we’re taking out their leader and their most high-profile killer. Once they’re gone, the rest will disappear, hopefully to find better, more productive jobs,” Taehyung and Hoseok were both on their second cups of coffee, neither of them really having said anything. “Hobi, you’re the one that knows this Zeke guy the most, right?”

Hoseok straightened himself in his seat, bringing his full attention to Jin in an instant. “Uh, yeah. We used to hang out a lot before him and Y/n started going out.”

“What do I need to worry about in terms of him?” For the first time since they’d gotten downstairs, Jin looked up, his full attention now on Hoseok, waiting for his response so he knew how to move forward.

“He’s no hit man, that’s for sure. But he is obsessed with Y/n; has been since before she even knew he existed. I don’t think he’ll stop until he’s dead or in prison, and even then, prison is only stopping him until he can get out,” Jin’s face fell slightly as everyone else in the room tensed. Hoseok never liked talking about Zeke, but he was the only person that fully knew what he was capable of; so he was going to have to start.

“He’s that bad, huh?” Hoseok nodded slightly as the weight of the situation everyone was in finally settled on their shoulders; and it was a lot heavier than any of them had fully realized.

“Have you made any progress?” Jimin sighed, his fathers voice ringing through his ear piece a little louder and sooner than he would’ve liked it to.

“Can’t talk, I’m on his property,” Jimin’s voice was low as he covered his mouth in a way so that if there was anyone nearby, they wouldn’t be able to hear him.

“Fine, then I’ll talk,” Jimin rolled his eyes as he internally cursed himself, jumping from the branch of one tree to another, his landing silent as his footing was perfect. “Zeke just showed up and he won’t shut the fuck up; you have an hour to get her or I’m sending in reinforcements,” Before Jimin could protest or further explain his situation now that he’s reached higher ground, His father had hung up the phone.

The thing about being on Seokjin's property was that it was thousands of acres of mostly wooded land, and his house was very well camouflaged within that. Jimin was dancing across tree tops to try and silently move around to find it without being detected, having already spotted two heavily armed guards on the ground in the twenty minutes he’d been there.

Finding his house within an hour would be practically impossible.

Namjoon let you know there was clean clothes in the dresser and a shower in the bathroom connected to the room in case you wanted to take a shower before you got some rest; an offer you gladly took. You sat in there for almost 30 minutes, just letting the near boiling water turn your skin red before you tried to get some rest.

But nearly 3 hours later, you were still wide awake.

You found yourself completely unable to sleep, tossing and turning in the room far too big for your liking. Your thoughts are loud and never ending, a new concern or worry entering your head before the last one can even finish settling in.

You sat up with a huff, throwing the pristine white blanket off of you as you brought your knees to your chest, wrapping your arms around them and pulling them further into you. You took a few deep breaths as you took in your surroundings, attempting to ground yourself before your panic fully set in. The room you had only been in for a few hours almost looked to be staged; nothing looked like it had ever been used, like it was only there to look like a bedroom - not to actually be one.

You stood from the bed when you felt safe enough to do so, and made your way to the door. If you couldn’t sleep, you may as well help the guys figure things out.

You stood with your hand on the door knob for an unnecessary amount of time, mostly just trying to gain the courage to leave the room. You took another deep breath and closed your eyes, things always being less scary if you can’t see them, and opened the door.

Right outside the door was the more intimidating of the two men from earlier; Jungkook if you remembered his name correctly. He turned abruptly to face you when he heard your door open, only looking at you for a split second before he looked behind you, searching the room for any signs of danger.

“I-I’m sorry, I just can’t sleep. I was going to see if the guys needed any help,” You stuttered out, not expecting someone to be standing right outside the door, and still looking absolutely terrifying.

His demeanor seemed to relax significantly once you spoke, yet he still seemed tense; hands clasped behind his back and his jaw tensed. He shook his head silently as he still continued scanning the room behind you, though much less frantically now. You furrowed your brows, still waiting on him to speak, but he never does.

“I can’t go help?” You questioned, a little confused at his silence. Jungkook finally looks at you, his eyes looking at your concerned expression for less than a second before he looked away again. He shook his head softly, his gaze moving down to look at the ground in between the two of you

“Uhm, no,” He cleared his throat, his eyes still looking down as he continued. “You can’t go downstairs. It would be, uhm, upsetting, to have to listen to that,” Jungkook stuttered out, his voice a lot softer and gentle than you had initially expected.

“Oh… is there anything I can do besides sit in here and freak out?” You lighthearted tone made him smile slightly. You took pride in knowing that your outgoing nature was still there, even if you hadn’t used it in a while.

“I’m afraid n-” Jungkook was cut off by a loud bang, a gunshot, if you had to guess; and he reacted before you even knew what was happening.

He pushed you back into the room and closed the door silently, before he pulled you towards the closet. He let go of you and opened the door, pulled the giant dresser out of the closet effortlessly to reveal a trap door that led god knows where. He opened it up and waved you over, silently asking you to go down.

He was right behind you, pulling the dresser back into place before he rushed down the stairs.

At the bottom was a small cellar that, from what it looked like, was used as an armory. Racks and cases that covered the walls were all filled with guns, guns that Jungkook was taking off the walls.

“Here,” without looking at you, he hands you a gun with one hand, the other taking ammunition out of a box.

“You’re giving me a gun?”

“You shouldn’t need it, but just in case,” You took a deep breath before nodding and putting the gun carefully in the waistband of your jeans.

He slung a shotgun over his shoulder and put two more handguns into the waistband of his jeans, accompanying the one he already had there, along god knows how much ammo he had in a bag slung off his other shoulder.

He had one more in his hand, before he moved over to one of the walls and pushed in a brick. The wall next to the brick moved back and slid behind the wall next to it, revealing a pathway. What is this, an episode of Scooby Doo?

That was definitely less than an hour.

At most, another 45 minutes went by before Jimin noticed several large black cars driving through the woods he’d worked so hard to stealthily get into, followed by extensive gunshots filling the otherwise serene area.

Jimin now raced on the ground toward the sound of gun fire, passing the bloodied bodies of hit men he’d known and Seokjin's guards alike.

He hated to benefit off of the deaths of others, but the less skilled hit men running in guns blazing were really a good distraction for him to sneak in the back.

Sneaking in certainly shouldn’t have been the easiest, but Jimin’s gun had a silencer, so he just shot through a door knob and was in.

Where he had managed to break into, was still to be determined. This could be a completely different house on the property to throw people off, a staged home of someone completely different to make us think were in the wrong spot; maybe even a part of the same building they were in, only there was no way to get over there.

One thing Jimin had always known when it came to certain high-profile cases - especially Seokjin - is that nothing is exactly what it seems, so stay alert.

He knew that Seokjin liked to have secret rooms to hide people and things in, something they’d learned on the fifth hit someone tried to put out on him.

He made his way to the basement, every room he entered being completely empty as everyone had run off to deal with the people obviously trying to break in. His gun was drawn as he swept the basement, looking in every nook and cranny knowing that there was something down here he was missing.

He almost gave up when he tripped over a piece of carpet that wasn’t laying flat. He looked back at it, noticing a small portion of the carpeting was a different color than the rest of the room.

After scanning the room one last time to make sure no one had snuck down when he wasn’t paying attention, he put his gun in his holster before he leaned down to lift the carpet.

A trap door. Nice.

A small smile crept onto Jimin’s face before it quickly washed away. He opened the door and took his gun back out before he started down the dusty looking steps.

It took him longer than he would’ve liked to find the light, but once he did, he realized it was just an empty room. Dusty and full of cobwebs, it didn’t look like anyone had been in here for at least a decade.

But that was exactly why Jimin knew he was in the right spot.

What seemed like hours later, and several layers deeper into the labyrinth that was Seokjin’s house, Jimin felt like he was no closer to finding you than he had been when he was hiding in the trees.

But at this point it was too late to go back, not that he even knew how to get out at this point; so he kept moving.

Jimin was now in a pitch black room with no idea how big the room was, or if there was any way out. His steps were slow and careful, as he held his weapon up, ready in case anyone pops out at him.

He evidently stepped wrong, the creaky floor giving way under him; an actual trap door meant to get him stuck so that he couldn’t escape.

He landed on the cold ground with a thud, his gun flying from his hand and landing halfway across the room as he groaned, letting his now very sore body relax on the ground; though that didn't last long as he heard a gun cocking above him.

He sighed, eyes clenched shut as he slowly pushed himself off the ground, making sure his movements were slow and hands stayed visible the whole time. As he sat up though, the fear that coursed through him turned to relief.

“Y/n?” You lowered the shaky gun in your hands slightly, just enough to see the face of the man you had it pointed at.

“Jimin?”

honestly? considering 13′s general level of touchy feely (as in, touch averse in that she wants her personal space respected at all times even if she doesn’t necessarily appear to hate touching itself. She’s fine touching other people.) and how only the people she is very close to are allowed to casually grab or touch her, then the level of touching her and Yaz are at by the end is actually incredible compared to where we started? 

(she does -in emergency situations- sometimes not really pay attention if people grab her, but I mean Casually.)

I mean, sure, she’d stand shoulder to shoulder and huddle with people, and She’ll reach out to people, but instances like in Rosa where she brushes Graham’s hand off her shoulder are larger in number than just that one most notable moment. She shoos away graham and ryan’s hands in ITYA when they’re trying to stop her falling on her ass. She stops Yaz grabbing at her in the tsuranga conundrum when the Pting is approaching (and then immediately huddles yaz against a wall with her own body. That’s fine but the pawing at her is Not). By S12 these moments have stopped for the most part if only because the fam pretty much entirely stopped touching her (i presume they noticed her dislike of it). They still casually interact physically between the three of them, so it Is them reacting specifically to 13. 

A couple of times Yaz reaches for 13 only to be pushed away in a moment of emotion. 13 can’t deal with Yaz reaching for her to stop her going to set off the bomb in the timeless children. She’s panicking and inconsolable in Once, Upon Time when Yaz tries to get through to her and comfort her both with words and a gentle hand and rebuffs both these things in her emotion. 

But then, literally the Next proper moment they get together (non holo related) 13 runs at Yaz and launches herself into a hug, and when Yaz relaxes and hugs her back. That’s their Moment. When 13 actively reaches for Yaz and when Yaz reaches back. 13 melts to it instead of backing away like a twitchy touch averse cat. 

And I guess this is a long winded way of getting here but, while I don’t disagree there wasn’t a lot of physical intimacy between the two of them in the last few episodes, I actually Do disagree with people saying that was anything new and was a response to the ship being (more) textually canon. 

Because?? They never really touched before then, either. Not in any way that really actually mattered positively beyond that hug. 

Outside the hug, imo the only really Notable physical contact they’ve had was in a negative way with 13 blatantly yanking herself out of Yaz’s grasp (TTC, O,UT). Sure, 13 grabbed her hand in It Takes You Away, but It wasn’t intimate. It was actually portrayed as something that shocked Yaz, imo, which says things by itself. 

In lotsd the close but not touching is blatantly being used to stoke the sexual tension. They still do huddle, though, and are physically close. 

And then in tpotd we get what I personally consider an embarrassment of riches, tbh? A handhold to save a life with a line that i’m reasonably sure was supposed to juxtapose a line from the master in spyfall pt2 but in a positive way instead of negative like it was with him, an inverse repeat of the glass cage scene in spyfall part one with them reaching to each other through the glass barrier but with awe instead of fear. The Bridal carry across the threshold. They are basically embracing in the scene where 13′s hand starts to glow, Yaz grabs her arm (which is, ngl, the most notable touch to me in the sequence) and 13 does not pull away, she leans in and cups her cheek. They casually touch each other, it’s in no way one sided, 13 doesn’t have to have the power here. 

So I guess, No, they didn’t touch a lot by any conventional standard, but by 13′s general standard of physical intimacy and casual touching, I think she pretty much let Yaz be all over her.

my other best experience is basically when i learn from my dearest mutuals then how not to be afraid to project ur muses' voices into their narration, which allowed me to have incredible fun with exercising different mindset and speech patterns and/or different dialects since!

RP PET PEEVES / DEALBREAKERS : uhhh this is pretty specific to my experience and quite particular — thus i hope to elaborate it well — but i highly dislike when writing partners tried crafting our threads into only benefiting / leveraging their own muse(s) rather than it being a collaborative effort for both our muses' character development. this happened to me only ... twice so far ? so it's quite rare considering i've been writing for ten years, but i'm suuuuper sensitive about this.

so for example right, what usually happens is me and my writing partner would talk about our muses and we see common ground and where we could expand on a point of conflict. both our muses then benefit from this point of thread because the narrative we've written ought to challenge their perspective, and this can be driven with angst, drama, whatever genre this can be explored in etc.

now what i'm pointing out specifically is when the writing partner would only try to have their own muse's emotions and challenges on the forefront of the plot, with no consideration to mine, which i think defeated the purpose of roleplaying in entirety because roleplaying especially is supposed to be a collaborative effort for all writers involved. but no, it's their muse's pain that's significant. it's only their suffering that outweighed everyone else's, and my character typically is became an "affirmation" or a "booster" to their muses' experience.

i have a few turn-off's but this one is definitely one of the highest.

MUSE PREFERENCES: oh maaaan, i've written characters from sooo many ranges. typically it's whoever tickled my brain at the moment <333 but lately i do realise i'm often drawn to

(1) outwardly soft-looking people (2) have crazy dedication value; sometimes absurdly loyal to a cause / person (3) most of the time they're brown-haired and/or dark-haired (4) a lot of them give earthy and/or green vibe

BEST TIME TO WRITE : when i want to 💀  and i have no idea when. usually when i'm rested enough so if i'm dead tired on friday, there's a chance i'll still be ghosting the dash on saturday. i try not to........ push myself so hard on my availability, which is why it's important i stress out how i am a low-activitiy blog, because i know that even if i push myself when i don't want to, it won't work. my brain would dead-ass refuse to cooperate.

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S) : i'm definitely flawed, which is something i like exploring with my muses, because i think i've tried so hard since i was 15 to be perfect. that isn't to say my characters and i share the same flaw, but unlike in real life, exploring my characters' area of weaknesses and how that can have its consequences is perhaps a catharsis for me since i could safely navigate it within a narrative i could ( somewhat ) control. it's freeing. writing has always been freeing in that sense.

Aries are okay. Those anger issues are real lol...Should really be careful about their aggression. I appreciate their honesty and bluntness though, Aries are pretty no bs people and will say it as it is. I think they're equally tough and sensitive - they're very emotional and will show it, but their stubborn nature will not allow them to give up and they're able to power through a lot of obstacles. But also like. It's ok to be vulnerable.

As a Cancer sun, we are...okay. Lol. I don't think we're THAT bad, but I also understand the criticism we get. I honestly didn't believe it until I dealt with another Cancer and had to listen a friend's complaints about their Cancer sun friend... I don't think we are aware of how intense we can be, especially unhealthy ones 😅. I know Scorpios are considered the intense ones, but Cancers can definitely be intense and overwhelming when not mature. The self centeredness and guilt tripping behavior is definitely true for unhealthy Cancers.

I guess I am lucky to be a Jupiter dominant bc I don't think I am intense. At least I've never been told so lol.

Leos are nice, I like them. They seem to be generous, never shy to give a lot to others. I think they're a lot nicer than most people think. Many are genuinely confident and even if they're not, they'll still put up a front. I don't think they want anyone to see them in their low moments due to their pride and need to be admired. And if they do, they're still gonna somehow look fabulous. All Leos I've observed like to express themselves with style - trendy or not, it just somehow looks cool and brings attention to them. Leos are just always known somehow.

However...Leo men get on my nerves for some reason. I'm not sure why.

The only acceptable Leo men are ONEUS Leedo and SF9's Leo line: Jaeyoon, Dawon, and Rowoon...too many Leos in one group...also kidding, I've just had the unfortunate luck of meeting annoying ones.

Why are Virgos so anxious. Are you Virgos ok. I've never met a Virgo placement without some sort of anxiety or stomach issues. Sometimes both.

Anyway, Virgos are okay. I did not have a good experience with a Virgo sun before...and Virgo placements in general are a bit difficult to deal with for me, specifically Virgo moon 😅. SPOILERS Sumeru Archon Quest and Tighnari's Quest

First off, I really love Sumeru. The music is amazing and the colors are so nice to look at. Still so many tall climb but that's nothing new. Also, there's lots of mushrooms.

Collei is precious. She's such a sweet girl and I have yet to read the manga but Dottore is such a hoe. How dare he touch a precious bean. I'll save Tighnari for later. For now, I'm going to talk about Dori. She is shorter/younger than what I expected lol. I thought she was going to have the female "teen" size. Also having seen a lot of the other characters, I'm more torn on who I want. I still like Dori but my eyes are shifting to different characters.

Al Haitham, what the fuck you up to? Breaking agreements that's enough to earn the wrath of the rock, if Zhongli were the traveler. This man's I want now more that I saw how he look in the game. He's giving me the feelings I had when I pulled on Ayato's banner. Ngl tho, being the only character that's entirely affiliated with the Akademiya is also giving him the untrustworthy guy vibes like Tartaglia.

Dehya and Nilou, both of them I can't shake of the thoughts that they could like Dunyarzad more than a friend. Dehya's design I stared for a while before concluding that those "ears" are just her hair shaped like it much like Keqing's. Ngl, I wasn't able to pay attention much to Nilou other than the scenes of her with Dunyarzad so idk what else to think about her yet.

For Nahida/Kusanali, Sumeru doesn't deserve her or at least the sages and certain people don't. She's such a sweet and good archon. She's been around for 500 or so years and she's just been in house arrest the entire time? She's literally the nature god but isnt even allowed to be in nature.

In regards to that, I can see the Sumeru's issue is because they've yet to accept that Greater Lord Rukkhadevata is long dead and hinders letting Lesser Lord Kusanali be the "proper" archon of Sumeru. Ykno? It's something sort of similar to Liyue's issue. Sort of.

Now the Sabzerus festival, holy shit. It's inception. Well, it's really not but it was what I was saying the entire time during it lol. But the dream thing, caught me off guard cuz I never would have thought that figments of imagination when you sleep can be connected to wisdom. It's kind of smart. I like it lots.

I loved Paimon a lot more during the bit where Traveler had to leave Paimon within the wall. I dont get people who don't like Paimon. They're the best emergency food travel companion in all of Teyvat. I love it when Paimon and Traveler banter. Like in the new Voice-overs. Speaking of, Traveler having a bit more lines in during that quest made me so happy.

The jebait on Dunyarzad holy crap. Tho ngl I would be ok with her just also having died during that for the angst but the current outcome is great as well.

Again with the cutscenes. It so beautiful. What I loved the most is seeing Dunyarzad when we thought she was dead get to see the dance. The dance itself was beautiful but that scene of like being able to fulfill her dying wish was just so nice to like see and gave me like a peace of mind. Nilou dancing was indeed gracful and the effects were also a nice addition but story wise I just loved seeing the Dunyarzad bit more.

Then we have the Katheryne being a puppet reveal which was sort of expected but I never have realized or remember that she was made in Snezhnaya. That small bit surprised me. Like maybe... a spy?? Its just a thought.

Now, I can get to Tighnari and he's quest. He's somewhat a merge of Heizou and Albedo. Obviously he's his own person but for comparison ykno. I like Tighnari. He's like "I don't care if you eat that mushroom. Go ahead try it. I do have a medicine for it but I want you to learn the consequences of your actions first." He's unexpectedly more stern and collected than expected but it makes it more satisfying when he becomes soft with Collei or frustrated with the Akademiya.

In the quest, I liked him even more. I love that he's aware of how Traveler wanders off out of the mission a lot. Him calling out to me when I was about to go wander off instead of setting up camp is gold to me and also him going "You're still awake" or "You’re still here" when I try to chat with him is so good. It's not some dialogue of him describing what he plans to do but just him lowkey shooing me. Also never thought I would want a mechanical crab as a pet but here we are. The thing with Karkata is so simple and yet it was so well done anyway. I would have loved to hear more of Tighnari's time at the Akademiya though. Actually most of the characters, I would love to have to see their Act 2 in the Story Quests. Anyway, I'll be waiting for Tighnari in the standard banner so I can save the intertwined fates for the limited characters like Nahida, Al Haitham, Dori and Cyno.

Author’s Note | ngl, this concept took me a little bit to warm up to but...I kind of love it. like. our poor boy. he'd be so shaken up by you but so...enamored. you are badass and he is so fond. so so so fond. Also, yes, I had to turn it tragic.

Simon first meets you in an airport. Well. He doesn't exactly meet you. He sees you. Sees you talking to yourself for a split second from where you sit before picking up a book that was laying in your lap and opening it to a random page. He thinks it's odd, of course. But he's had plenty of strangers pick apart his own mannerisms. So, airing on the side of politeness, he ignores the way your eyes continue to trail him as he walks by.

An hour later, as Simon is waiting for his flight, a corpse is found in the men's room.

And Simon clicks the pieces together almost immediately. He knows the inconspicuous look of a person on a mission. And he can't help but wonder how you pulled it off.

He'd seen Roy complete his fair share of missions before. But Roy was a lot more...raucous. You were slick. Making just the right amount of waves so that you blend into the rest of the scenery. That's probably why the CIA keeps you around.

Because as soon as Simon lands in the States, heading off to a federal building where he'll be given protection for his journey, he finally meets you.

"Simon, this is Agent Y/N. They will be seeing you through your trip to Austria."

Your smile is subdued; strictly professional as you shake his hand. He's been contracted out to do some work for a lab in Vienna. And he realizes how screwed he is. The job itself is easy. But spending three full months with you in Austria? He's no stranger to mingling with morally dubious characters, but if you didn't make his knees weak, this would be far easier.

His mouth dries up when you say that you're pleased to be working with him.

The whole trip starts off cordially. 

You hold his hand in public and play it off as if he's your partner. The idea makes butterflies flutter in his stomach. God, he wishes that he could actually call you his.

The problem is that he can't tell when you're acting. When you smile and laugh during dinner, he has no clue if it's real. And if the hand holding is fake, then why do your palms get all sweaty? Why do you hang off of him like it means anything at all?

He starts to hate it. Starts to peel you off of him the second you and him are out of sight of people.

"You don't have to do that." he mumbles as you both step into the elevator of his building. Simon hates that the floor he works on is so high up. It allows you to argue back.

"Who said I had to?"

"What?"

You glance up at the fluorescent elevator lights, wondering if you should actually say it. Would it be overstepping some line? You've got ten more floors left until you're at his. Might as well give him something to think about besides that lab work.

"What if I wanted to?"

Simon is frozen as you stand on your toes to kiss his cheek. "Didn't have to do that. But I wanted to."

You'd known many people who had been allured by you. But Simon was by far your favorite. He was just so new to everything. So pure and undesiring of anything aside from your attention and affection.

He kisses your cheek every single morning, drapes his jacket around you when you shiver in public, and lets you listen to his iPod with him on the morning train to work.

And when you think you see the shadow of some assailant out of the corner of your eye, Simon catches it. He simply smiles comfortingly, cheeks perking up as he rubs slow circles on your knee. It calms you considerably. Keeps you alert but diminishes your anxiety, which only sharpens your focus. 

At night, when it's just you and him, lying in bed, he can't help but notice the little scars littering your flesh. Probably from past missions. This life isn't easy on the mind or the body. And while he isn't surprised to see them and doesn't want you to have to think of the incidents that gave you them, he wants to acknowledge them. So he traces over them, and draws little stars, amending the old wounds in his own head.

It's difficult not to love him immediately after that. This isn't just simple fun anymore. But you've known this fluttery feeling a few times before. In this line of work, those feelings mean nothing except for the pain they offer. It's better for both of you if you stepped away.

As the weeks pass during the final month, you distance yourself from him. You don't even pretend to be a couple in public anymore. Don't let him huddle into your side during the night. You always keep a few inches between yourself and him. Close enough to do your job, but far enough away that Simon wonders what he's done wrong.

By the last day of the Austria trip, you barely look at him. Barely acknowledge him as you take care of the luggage and board the plane. It's only when you leave that he sees the facade fall away just a little.

You extend your hand to shake his. Just like when he first met you. "It was an honor working with you, Simon." your voice cracks saying his name and your hand is just as clammy as he remembers, grasping his a little tighter than you should. He doesn't even get a chance to say goodbye to you before you let go and turn, leaving him hanging like a scarecrow.

Just like you did at that airport, you fade into the scenery of the airport. Still, your being lingers with him. And he's not sure if he'll ever feel you truly leave.

Since you said any AUs... what about a 'nothing bad happens' Pokemon AU? I'm unsure if you did one of these already. People don't die/murdered, sure there might not be 'perfect' lives (Like Zenitsu still being an orphan/adopted, Inosuke growing up in the wild, etc) but Tanjiro and Ayame do still have their families. Still in the same professions, but their families want them to be happy and go on a ~adventure~ Cue Pokemon shenanigans, meet the Gym leaders(hashiras), and fight evil organizations(demons).

a pokemon au!!!!! much like anyone my age, i too have had my pokemon phase. that being said, the only pokemon game i ever played extensively was pokemon red, and i haven't watched a pokemon episode in over a decade. so...... the pokemon i assign everyone will most likely be first gen. bc that's who i am as a person.

Pokemon!AU

- i love the idea that ayame and tanjirou still remain as blacksmith and charcoal burner ngl

- u would expect both kids to choose charmander as their starter pokemon but nope! well, tanjirou does end up with a charmander, but ayame surprisingly chooses a squirtle

- or maybe not so surprising. akihiko had chosen the same.

- but ayame finds a vulpix all alone not far from okutama and ends up catching it. she has both of them out of their pokeballs, so she kinda has two companions that accompany her on the journey

- do gym leaders take apprentices? probably not, but ayame ends up taking a shine to kyoujurou anyway and he has a ninetales, so he helps her with training her vulpix a lot. she jokingly calls him shishou at first, but then it kinda stuck

- ayame and tanjirou set off on their journey at different times but end up meeting in asakusa anyway

- i can totally see zenitsu with a pikachu, but like ash's where they don't really get along at first. eventually their relationship kinda evolves into a "i'm the only one allowed to bully them" kind of thing.

- yes, zenitsu has an all electric team. his adoptive grandfather is a former gym leader after all!

- does nezuko end up joining tanjirou on his journey? yeah sure why not. she loves fighting pokemon, although her starter pokemon is actually a poliwag. keep working hard with ur poliwag, nezuko-chan!

- much like nezuko, inosuke also prefers fighting pokemon, although his best friend is actually a cubone that he didn't fight. they just found each other in the mountains and decided to stick together. i guess because they both have masks????

- tanjirou... hm. it's hard to say what his team configuration is. there is, of course, charmander. but he also has a dratini, a pidgeotto that he evolved from a pidgey, and a growlithe. he caught an eevee in asakusa with ayame and his evolved into a vaporeon

- ayame's evolved into a flareon. she loves her flareon, but she was kinda hoping for a vaporeon too... not that she would ever admit it outloud.

- ayame's team configuration is very obviously water/fire. she wanted it to be more water, but fire pokemon are drawn to her. tanjirou always jokes it's because she's a blacksmith's daughter. she has a seel, a vulpix, a squirtle, and a ponyta. the only pokemon she has that comes as a total surprise is her gastly.

- kanao has a clefairy!!! and also an oddish that kanae helped her find. i can see her team configuration as a fairy/poison type.

- genya...... genya and a mankey. his mankey is the sweetest mankey ever and it's even funnier when genya has resting bitch face. he also has a slowpoke and a staryu, and it was both those pokemon that caught ayame's attention when they met

- who would be team rocket for these kids????? like... i know akaza and douma for sure. oh i guess that would fit. maybe they're just obsessed with tanyame's eevees turned flareon/vaporeon

- i can see nezuko as a man-made half ghoul the way kaneki was turned, which still leads to tanjirou being very concerned and overprotective of her

- the higuchis... ghouls. yeah. akihiko joins aogiri tree and ayame has her loyalties with anteiku. obviously their parents die at the hands of the ccg and it's all very tragic. she has four younger siblings to look after and it's very stressful for her

- ayame and tanjirou used to be neighbours, until her parents were killed and she was moved with her siblings under the protection of anteiku

- that being said, i guess the rengokus would be ghouls too, bc of course kyoujurou needs to look after ayame. and hey!!!! free younger sisters!!!!!! (that's not how it works, kyoujurou - )

- it does mean that tanjirou has to work very hard with the ccg, bc it's the only way he can keep up with his half ghoul sister and his full ghoul kinda childhood friend

- maybe there's some sort of trainee program for ccg hopefuls and that's where he meets zenitsu and inosuke

- inosuke... could be half ghoul ig. but like the way the quinx squad are half ghouls

- i think most of the hashiras would be ghouls actually. the only exceptions would be sanemi and obanai

- genya is also a half ghoul though, but bc of experimentation bullshit that killed the rest of his siblings. that just means that sanemi is even more protective of genya - almost like a guard dog

- listen i could go on forever abt a tokyo ghoul au u have no idea

- anyway! kagune! the higuchis are ukaku-types, while nezuko has a bikaku type. inosuke is koukaku-type, and he can make two jagged blades from his forearms - they're shorter than most that will fully wrap around the arm, but that also means he can move faster because of it.

- the kochou sisters are rinkaku-types, although kanao's is actually an ukaku-type like the higuchis. the rengokus are bikaku-types, although their ideal form - so to speak - is a nine-tailed form (i'm pushing the rengoku nine-tails agenda idc). himejima is koukaku-type, same as genya, which is why genya trains with himejima almost exclusively. muichirou is rinkaku-type as well, same as giyuu. they work terribly together though. it's mostly personality incompatibility issues. tengen is ukaku-type, which means ayame also trains with him a lot - and neither of them are happy about it. mitsuri is a koukaku-type! and bc of her muscle density, she's also faster than most koukaku-types (obanai thinks that's so cool of her)

- i can see the idiots squad coming together c of a rogue ghoul that's making it seem like the attacks are from anteiku. very very dangerous for her sisters, and tanjirou just ends up coming along bc nezuko insists that they help her. also bc that's kinda his first case in the ccg training program, so zenitsu and inosuke stumble along the investigation as well.

Unfortunately, she was separated from them quite a bit, but was given a similar overall training to Hiiro. It was never expected for her to be the leader, but well, not many things went as planned for this generation.

-So when the two of them left, it was lonely for her. There already weren't many people of her age, and having the two people who truly cared for her in any meaningful way leave—Needless to say, it was difficult.

-Their first time together was before Rinne left for good, right before the time Niki picked him up. It was her curiosity that started it, and Rinne was hesitant, all things considered. It’s not that he didn’t want it, it’s just that this sort of thing was wrong, you know? They didn’t do anything particularly exotic or anything, maybe just a handjob or maybe she’d suck him off in the morning, but that was about it.

-It wasn’t long before Hiiro would catch them in the act. After all, she wasn’t exactly subtle about it. It was a casual thing for her, and it’s not like any of the townspeople would say anything about it—Even if it was wrong, it wasn’t their place.

Hello Puppets Headcanons

A/N: This is what happened when I'm bored with access to Tumblr. Did them for Nick Nack, Riley Ruckus [they're the two I ended up with interps of because I highkey related] and my OCs Bella and Ashley. This is for post-game human versions.

Nick Nack:

If you say his show was bad he'll cry. ...He might also cry if you say it's good, ngl-

He's the youngest.

He gets a little nervous if someone uses his full first name because he thinks they're pissed off at him. [Coughing, well done, Mortimer]

He still wears makeup. And kills it. He taught Ashley how to cover her scars, actually.

I'm thinking bi or pan? All I know is he is DEFINITEEETTTTLLLYY Not straight.

Him and Riley still bicker. They usually don't get into physical fights because Bella is around to stop them actually beating each other up.

He still shares a room with Bella because I was nice and gave both of them abandonment issues and separation anxiety.

This bitch will take any excuse to put on a show and drag everyone he can into it.

He annoys Riley for fun sometimes.

Despite being the youngest he's still protective even if he's scared of Riley when she's mad. /lh

He has an 'art mode'. If he's drawing you're not going to get his attention unless you throw something at him.

Riley Ruckus:

If she ever 'met' Handiunit [yes, the computer from Sister Location], she would break it.

Oldest aside from Mortimer. And since Mortimer got his shit wrecked [he dead] she pretty much takes his place as the oldest of the group now.

Her science experiments all keep turning into various degrees of jackass stunt. It's worse when Ashley helps her, somehow.

I don't care that it's canon she hates Scout, I say that they should commit accidentally destructive chaos acts together. [Looking right at your interp, Grace. /lh]

She has threatened to beat Nick up when he annoyed her "at work" before, but so far has not acted on it. She's secretly the protective kind of "Only I'm allowed to beat up the annoying fucker" sister.

If someone asks her about science, she will ramble. She's probably some form of neurodivergent and she kinda shuts herself up because Mortimer used to snap at her to shut up a lot.

She is very attached to Rosco. [Thankfully not LITERALLY like she was in the first game]

She has scars on her mouth, which she still uses her creepy smile mask to cover a lot of the time.

She's an absolute nerd. She may or may not know lord of the rings is a work of fiction now, but she's still a fan.

She stresses herself out a lot. Like, usually not that bad, but sometimes to the point where she Can't Function.

She doesn't sleep, honestly. Most of the time she just "sleeps" where she passed out the night before. She knows two things, coffee and spite.

She's the opposite of Nick. Emotionally constipated as hell, probably because she's used to having her emotions exploited by Mortimer.

Easily irritated. Still has anger issues.

Bella The Ballerina [OC]:

She still dances, surprisingly she's still a natural dancer even though she can't walk more than 5 steps without falling over something.

She's the "middle child", she was created before Nick but after Riley.

On the show "Mortimer's Handeemen" she acted as the supportive sister figure, she is still this now.

Mortimer, seeing no point to her as she had no need to possess a host and therefore refused, and she refused to play his "games", deems her as weak and useless. He had no problem with calling her this.

Her eyes, like Riley's, are mismatched - however, rather than "natural" heterochromia, one of her eyes is blue while the other brown because she got into a physical altercation with Mortimer over his abuse towards the others and he straight up ripped one out and it needed to be replaced.

She sings more than she used to, as she isn't as self-conscious about her voice. This and This are her favourite songs to sing, aswell as Ballora's Song from Sister Location.

She has scars all over her human body - which are from various cracks and scrapes she got from Mortimer when she was a marionette.

She once got tangled in her own stage curtain and accidentally ripped it down. She's never living it down.

She's pretty much the mediator between Nick and Riley.

Still quiet, but she talks more to her family and Michael [Another of Grace's horror interps]

Distrustful of people she doesn't know

Ashley Anderson/Host [OC]:

Player character from the original hello puppets. Two words: Jackass Energy.

She originally was scared absolutely shitless of the puppets, now she's adopted them all and wants to throw Mortimer out of a window.

She has scars - on her mouth/lips and one on her wrist where Scout was previously stitched to her arm. She uses makeup [thanks to Nick] and bracelets to cover them, but most of the time she's fine with showing them now.

She acts like an idiot, but she's not so much stupid as she doesn't think things through before she acts.

She has parental trauma. Not sure what type but I know they weren't good - she doesn't talk about it.

She uses her wrench for a lot of things: building, tinkering, making gaps she can't fit through wider, threatening to shove up asses, and hitting people she doesn't like.

She has the energies of all of Jackass, Markiplier, Jay Merrick, Ash Williams, Wanda Maximoff but specifically in WandaVision in mom mode, and this streamer, all at once.

Honestly, I think her and Scout probably have one of those dumbass-slightly-less-of-a-dumbass friendships [Looking at Grace's interp and pointing /lh /aff]

She's a huge fan of the Boris Shuster novels

She's also a gamer. You know I had to do this to her at some point. /lh [She ended up introducing the *former* puppets to video games and...it didn't go well because everyone got introduced to a little thing called Riley having gamer rage.]

She has NO filter. None. She thinks something? She will say it. Doesn't matter if it's inappropriate, stupid or full of swear words, it's comin' out.

Okay more suicidal Tim au thoughts (sorry!!)

There’s def an high element of infantilization to the way the batfam treats Tim and the way they encourage him to view himself.

so I’m the same anon as autistic Tim, lol, so like, I view him as autistic. Just a disclaimer

Anyway his whole life has had to be masking a LOT— I mean, everything he was most of the time was a role he was playing in order to be good, or useful. I think that’s a massive defining trait of his character— above anything else, he needs to be useful. I don’t think he views himself as having anything to offer outside of the practical sense, and he craves attention and validation.

So I think the batfam very much view his masking as this terrible thing that the world inflicted on their poor Timmy (nevermind that it was them doing it half the time)

Bruce and Dick vaguely remember a Timmy who was sweet and shy and got a little jumpy and fidgety when he was excited, how he’d bite his lip and bounce his leg to keep from rambling

And they hate themselves, because they hadn’t appreciated it at the time

And then they look at the Tim right before the fall— alone, serious, exhausted most of the time. And they view this now as him being seriously ‘sick’.

In their view it kind of culminates in him leading The teen Titans and young justice, because they in hindsight view leadership roles as forcing this responsibility and masking onto their delicate Timmy.

They’re basically like— this video of teen superheroes is NOT cute. Timmy’s only behave in this serious, assertive manner when they are deeply stressed. Please take this down!

I think Tim also tends naturally to age regress sometimes, either when he’s very stressed or he feels very safe. This is something that he was very ashamed of and took every measure to tamp down on, punishing himself. The batfam takes this ‘self-punishing’ behavior very seriously, refusing to allow Tim to ever be embarrassed or ashamed.

This is an aspect partially of their entitlement when it comes to Tim and his complete lack of autonomy. He lacks ownership over even the most basic things about himself— both his body and his emotions are the treasured, carefully nurtured possessions of his family. They want him to be completely dependent and *trusting* of them. So of course he should never be ashamed or self-conscious or embarassed of anything, because that indicates that he doesn’t really trust them.

So if Tim begins to go under, to do something childish, to stim, especially in a strange way, they wholeheartedly encourage it. They’ll get upset if he tries to stop himself halfway through, and they learn to recognize when he’s internally battling with himself over an urge.

They don’t want him to be nervous or self-conscious over wanting *anything*. He just needs to tell his brothers or sister or daddy. They’ll give him what he needs, and they love him completely.

If he wants to curl up against their lap, or suck fingers or Jason’s pecs, or to be smooshed on all sides, they never want him to hesitate to act or tell them. That’s what they’re there for, after all. They love it when he’s giggly and high-voiced and stupid, when he is just their little baby boy inside.

This shame and responsibility and seriousness is all viewed as the result of outside ‘contaminants’, as the reason they have to hide Tim away from the dangerous outside world.

They basically want a full time cglre dynamic ngl.

Of course, there’s times when Tim is more lucid or ‘big’ than others, and they know that, but they demand that he never force himself to be even a little bit big when he doesn’t absolutely want to.

And as I said, a lot of these aspects of infantilization are imposed or enforced, regardless of whether Timmy wants them or is comfortable. Dick insists on regularly bottle-feeding Tim his juice or milk or water. He’ll say it’s ‘less messy’, and so that his ‘neck isn’t tired’, whatever that fucking means. Tim’s like, I can just use a straw, and Dick is like ‘no :)’ .

They carefully curate what media he’s allowed to consume or how they act around him, but it’s all distorted to this weird fantasy dynamic.

We’ve discussed how in the suicidal Tim au, the batfam grows a lot closer, and I think this would lead to casual incest/sexual behavior between members that aren’t necessarily just Tim and others. It’s viewed as normal and healthy, and to be fair, they are vigilantes, so what’s normal for them has always been skewed.

But this leads to Bruce being totally okay with Tim watching Dick and Jason make out heavily and Jack each other off on the other end of the same couch (Bruce is just sitting in a nearby armchair, reading the paper) but he scolds Jason heavily when a ‘*fuck*’ slips out under his breath.

How dare he use that kind of language around his younger brother! And Dick would reach over, his whole thang still out and swinging, to place his hands over Tim’s precious ears.

Just this weird dichotomy where Tim is only allowed to watch certain PG films or movies and not to hear swears, but full on sex is okay AS LONG as it’s between members of his family.

This doesn’t apply to other sexual stuff tho— of a TV show or movie has a sex scene, that’s an instant veto. To them, sex is only something that Tim should see and experience within the context of his family, like everything else. Besides, they’ll view sex in media as ‘degrading’ , like a Christian mom about even the lightest of kink. It’s always too rough, too impersonal— sex is something loving to be experienced in his family, and they don’t want him getting the wrong ideas.

This of course is all informed by the fact that most of them are some degree of delusional. It comes to the point where some of them (ie Dick and Bruce) genuinely don’t aknowledge any of Tim’s life before the fall, and maybe even construct a fake history in which he’s just a sickly, lovely boy who’s always been cared for by his family. Obviously Tim knows and has experienced a bunch of fucked-up stuff, whether it be regarding sex or violence, but they refuse to acknowledge this. To them, every hint of sexuality in a movie that isn’t Cinderella chastely kissing Prince Charming is his impressionable young minds first exposure to these sordid concepts.

I think all of this is the origin of some of their weirder kinks, like Dick’s previously discussed and very real piss and period kinks. In Dicks mind, the idea of Tim waking him up to tell him he wet the bed is thrilling and arousing because it indicates a lack of control on autonomy on Tim’s part, and a complete trust, that Tim wasn’t embarassed or scared to tell him. That even the most abstract concept of fear is something that is never warranted in reaction to his big brother, Dick.

this view of sexuality is that it’s something to be expressed and enjoyed between trusting members of a family, but it’s ultimately just one more aspect of their love, and not the main focus. They don’t view themselves as having a ‘kink lifestyle’. There’s no line dividing the sexual and non-sexual because it’s all considered platonic in a sense.

This is also why I personally believe Bruce would actually not encourage Tim to call him ‘daddy’ for sexual reasons, because he would view it as a word that has been corrupted by this overtly-sexual context of the larger world and culture.

Like obviously if Tim regresses and calls him daddy he’s not going to be upset or correct him, and he def likes being Tim’s ‘dad’ and having it be acknowledged, but he dislikes the implication that their relationship is primarily or inherently sexual, instead of that just being one aspect of the ways they love each other.

What title do I think Bruce would be SO into? ‘Papa’. It’s perfect. It’s incredibly informal, it’s bursting with affection, it’s versatile and fits in sexual and non-sexual situations. He’s Tim’s papa. Don’t worry, baby, Papa will take care of that. Papa loves you. Do you want Papa to cut that for you, Timmy?

ANON I LOVE YOUR MIND!!!!! i fully believe there would be rapid infantilization in the scenario after tim's "fall". they'd handle tim with kid gloves at first but then their treatment of him would shift and change because they're so determined to have tim in this clean, sterilized environment free of where he could be influenced by anything on the outside. because it was 'outside' forces that drove him to do what he did (but the call is coming from inside the house).

them bottle feeding tim, carefully curating the media he consumes, baby talking him and even forcing regression on him.

it makes it all so delightfully twisted because the situation is all so fucked for everyone involved. they're all in such horrible distress and it all goes unaddressed and in many ways they all make each other sicker and worse. and tim is probably the only one of them that can see how wrong things are bit he's essentially getting psychologically tortured and in many ways some things about his captivity are being made appealing. because they speak to him softly, touch him gently. he even gets used to being fucked even when his mind is young and confused about what's happening to him.

damian assures him it's okay because he's been practicing being gentle so he doesn't need dick or jason to supervise him anymore.

like tim's mind is getting twisted by all of them around him and even as he sinks deeper into this delusion he still can't deny part of him feels like there's something...off.

but that feeling doesn't last and isn't strong enough to make him do anything about it.

honestly speaking i don't think they ever snap out of it and no one reaches out to them and sees what's happening proving the point that they really only have each other.

it's bittersweet to people on the outside because they can see the twistedness and how much they need help but if they were "helped" they'd be miserable. at least like this they're happpy.

and isn't that...preferable?
