Restocks and new products ordered! Thank you to all who made me SELL OUT of my king salmonid keychains so fast!!!!! I cannot believe that I actually sold out of an item that fast, so I have reordered more. But, the manu I use only had the frosted acrylic for a limited time, so when I get them, they will still be green, but will be clear acrylic instead!!

I have also ordered stickers of my Celebi and Jirachi designs, along with sticker restock of my Smoliv (with a freshened up design!!). Smoliv is also receiving the acrylic charm treatment by being turned into a phone charm!

What forces cause game dev to crunch harder than most other forms of software development?

When I started writing, I had one answer to this question. The more I thought about it, however, the more I realized that I don't think think we actually do crunch harder than other forms of software development. Sure, we work a ton of hours during crunch time - I've got too many battle scars of my own to ever deny that. But I think that you're taking too narrow a view of "form of software development" and should instead consider "maturity of product". Here's what I mean.

Consider the kind of software development that doesn't crunch. It's usually the old, established, boring software - banking, inventory, web development, often long time services that have been running for a long time with long-term established clients. These are very well-known quantities, with well-understood requirements. The urgency of delivering new features is not super high, because those clients are likely deeply engaged within the ecosystem already. It costs too much for them to take their business elsewhere, so they'll probably continue to do business with you.

Compare this to a tech startup that lacks this kind of long-term product service. They have no long-term established clients with a strong business relationship. In such a case, I would expect to see a ragtag group of developers crunching all the time no matter what kind of software they're trying to build in order to get a viable product and establish a userbase/clientele. Startups expect to hustle as much as they can in hopes of securing funding, launching the product, and hoping to get rich along the way.

If you consider the game industry, we have both - the long term, long-running established games usually crunch less because things are known quantities for them. They know who their customers are, they know what they're making, and they're pretty good at making it. Building regular content updates to a long-running game is really minimally crunchy. Conversely, new games and new products - especially the first title from new studios - necessitate spending a lot of time figuring out what they are trying to be and who they are for, which often necessitates startup-like crunch conditions to get it done on schedule.

The image included is an example of my personality vials, including straw flower that I pick myself, and straw flower fluff! With this one plant, I can make *so many of these.* But guess what? That’s not all I have available as micro trinkets! I also have available to me:

Bones

Stones

Crystals

Sand

Other small plants (micro clover, lawn ivy, etc.)

Preserved insects/crawlies

Furs, whiskers, and hairs

Seeds

Best part?

All of this is sourced fairly, safely, and without harm to any animals! All the things I find are already in their condition, I just clean them up!

Personality Vial Prices:

They vary but base prices are $15 for a large and $10 for a small

The base vials include one of what you’d like.

Extras vary depending on what you’d like, so please don’t be shy and ask away! I can also get my hands on things if I don’t have them, all I need is the money for it on top of your order!

Shipments/Orders:

Orders will be taken through CashApp, PayPal, or Venmo

Half now and half upon completion

Depending on S&H prices I may ask for extra money, but this will mainly happen with orders from across/out of country orders. Those of you who aren’t close, shop wisely! The more you spend on items the more reasonable the ratio of S&H will be to your order price!

All orders are set to be done within a week, but may vary.

I do have to travel to obtain some of the items! The prices I give are to cover gas costs, material costs, and labor!

Please be aware of allergies if ordering for someone! Ask them first! Some people are allergic to different things to the point they can end up in the hospital!

Now at IPR: Hoss

Hoss is an adventure compatible with the Mothership® Sci-Fi Horror RPG.

Hoss fought for steelworkers' rights on his planet eventually getting the ruling corp, Sovereign Bliss, to agree to build a large refinery on one of the derrick towns. When Sovereign kept taking ever more significant cuts of the refinery's business, eventually shutting it down, the steelworkers struck. Apparently taking advantage of the situation, the entire derrick was destroyed in a large blast- killing thousands. Hoss was there to get people back on their feet. Hoss kicked Sovereign out. Hoss planted the bomb and framed Sovereign.

13 years later, a vital piece of evidence linking Hoss to the bombing has gone missing. One of the other union leaders' children has infiltrated his organization to avenge their mother who was killed in the blast. Sovereign Bliss is trying to find a way to take Hoss down. Hoss can feel his grip on the planet slipping, what will he do to keep hold of it?
