Firstly, fuck @netflix.

Secondly, I know we’re all crushed about the show being cancelled. I know for a lot of us this is genuinely painful. And that’s because of all the good Julie and the Phantoms has brought to us. All the new friends, the amazing music, the real emotions, the incredible writing and artwork from this fandom, a viewing experience that is truly like no other. We’ve seen ourselves in these characters, invested over a year of our time in them and the rest of the show, and do you know what?

We had fun.

That’s what we’re going to focus on, okay? Because the last two years have treated us like shit but Julie and the Phantoms has been a light in all that darkness. And even though we aren’t getting a second season, that doesn’t need to take away from the great times we had, the great memories we’ve created, and the great friends we’ve made. Not to mention the careers it’s launched for amazing previously undiscovered talents like Madison Reyes.

So yeah, fuck Netflix. But don’t forget that season one is still there and it is one of the best things in our lives.

everyone take a moment and think about the fact that

julie and the phantoms has now won awards from the television academy. a little netflix original show that has only had one singular season and has a target audience of younger people and is a musical has won mtv awards, telltale awards, and literal daytime emmys associated with the television academy.

this show, no matter how it's treated by netflix, is truly a marvel. no matter how frustrated we are, at least others see the beauty in this amazing project and the wonderful people who put their hearts and souls into it!!!

One thing I want from season 2 (which there will be, pls, let us have it) is the band getting more and more popular and having labels and managers and agents come after them and Julie getting her due but also the band shenanigans of trying to hide the fact that ¾ of the band are dead.

Does Julie just say they only speak Swedish? Do the labels get a translator and for a hot second everyone thinks the best plan is to learn Swedish? I have to know.
