I’ve seen a lot of old timey jugs and plates in my life but the archaeological museum of Nessebar has by far the best Badly Drawn Medieval Animals and People pottery.
Just look at these guys!
All of them are presumed to be from the 14th century, and made locally.
That expression could mean so many things.
My favorite guy. He looks so happy! I think it is supposed to be Saint George, but that’s because I’m no expert on saints and I think those are supposed to be a sword and a shield.
We plan our lives in long, unbroken stretches that intersect our dreams the way highways connect the city dots on a road map. But in the end we learn that life is lived in the side roads, alleys, and detours.
40 min walk and I got the most delicious vegan ice cream in Nesebar, Bulgaria. The cafe is in old town, near by the archeological museum. I found the place in happy cow. Thank you @saria666 for your advice 🤗
I took vegan sugar free chocolate and lime-mint sorbet. I accidentally found another CLIO when walking in the town but it will be in another post

Ci…

A 14-year-old boy was detained for a brutal murder near Sunny Beach. The victim is a citizen of North Macedonia, killed by blows with a sharpened stake.
Yesterday, the police received a report that a man's body with visible injuries in the head area was found in a wooded area near the resort.
Burgas forensic experts and the employees of the RU-Nesebar have established that the body is that of a 49-year-old Macedonian citizen who entered Bulgaria on January 24 through the Gueshevo border crossing.
After conducting numerous operative-search activities and procedural-investigative actions, including interrogations, seizure of video recordings from security cameras in a wide perimeter, it was established that the perpetrator of the murder was a 14-year-old boy from Nessebar. He is being held on a warrant for up to 24 hours.
The same person carried out the act by striking with a sharpened stake. The reasons for the murder are under investigation.
Bulgaria is not the most vegan friendly country but it has hand down the best fruits and vegetables. They are so juicy and sweet and crispy... I bet I ate tons of melons and watermelons there but of course I was enjoying proper meals as much as I could. I decided to share my favourites + what to buy in Bulgarian stores if you can’t find vegan options in restaurants or cafes
1. Prince Cyril is my favourite place in Nesebar 💜 It is not a vegan restaurant but it has a separate page in their menu dedicated to vegan and vegetarian meals which is really rare for Bulgaria.
I took a traditional Bulgarian meal - baked bell peppers stuffed with rice, mushrooms, and vegetables
2. Different vegetables and different ways to cook them:
3. Meals from the hotel: pasta and risotto
4. Traditional soup in Bulgarian village. Look at this bowl and cup 😍
5. I did not eat all the time in restaurants or cafes. I also bought some food in stores. There are a lot of options for vegans: plant based milk, cheese, hummus
Yeah, once again Bulgaria might be not the best vegan friendly country especially if you’re not in big cities but hopefully ⬆️ is a proof you will not stay hungry in this amazing country 😌
