Dr. Reginald Bushroot had been a patient man, at one point in his life. Probably before he’d gotten mutated into a half-plant, half-duck monstrosity, but that was neither here nor there. This was not the Negaduck he was familiar with, but all the same, he’d found his way to reggie’s hiding place...

And, when he’d tried to defend himself from the intrusion, he’d had the gall to stab him! Right in the stomach. It hurt, of course- pain didn’t stop just because you couldn’t technically die to normal means.

What it did do, though, was make the scientist who did his best to adhere to pacifism angrier than he normally got. Grasping the other duck’s coat, he huffed out a bit as through cracks in the old greenhouse floor, thick vines began to creep out, moving as though to entangle the intruder’s legs.

“You know, if you really were Negaduck, I’m pretty sure I’d be mulch by now. But even though you’re not him, I don’t think you’re any better for this city than he is, so maybe you should be the one who ends up fertilizer instead!”
