Not to post analysis of an old long-canceled show but the way names/titles are so important in Pushing Daisies and we literally never learn Ned’s full name is so interesting. We know Emerson Cod, we know Olive Snook, we Charlotte Charles. Or Chuck, or Dead Girl, or Lonely Tourist Charlotte Charles (so many names on this girl fr) yet we literally never learn Ned’s full name. He’s just Ned, or The Piemaker. And of course “The Piemaker” is what he likes to be, it’s what reminds him of his mother, of the part of his livelihood he chose and loves. But whatever name his father gave him, we never hear. All we know is a nickname, and that’s just so interesting to me
