“ If I was your hero would you be mine?” Zora suddenly asked, causing Nebra to frown. Where did that come from all of a sudden? She watched him pull a small doll out of his pocket and frowned even more, it looked nearly identical to him! It had the same hairstyle, same clothes, and even the same mask.

“ I know this ain’t a fairytale but is real life, I just wanted to ask, since every hero needs their own sometimes.” Zora muttered as he held the doll up and towards her.

“ Was this doll your hero?” Nebra found herself asking as she gently took the doll into her hands and looked it over. It was very old but was in pretty good condition. There were a few loose threads and faded colors, but that was alright, that just meant the doll had been well loved.

“ It kind of was, y’see, my dad made this for me to ‘try and get me to talk more’ since I was a pretty quiet kid.”

“ You were a quiet kid?” Nebra laughed in surprise, and Zora rolled his eyes at her.

“ Yeah laugh it up, from what Noelle told me you weren’t a very chatty child either.” Zora threw back at her with a smirk, making her blush and look away in annoyance. SHe was going to have to scold Noelle later for telling him that!

“ Anyway, this doll, and my dad, both became my heroes. My dad made me want to be a Magic Knight, and this doll made me want to be some masked hero that righted the wrongs of the world.” Zora admitted sheepishly with a chuckle. “ Sounds pretty dumb for someone like me doesn’t it?”

“ It does,” Nebra admitted with a small smile, causing the man to glare at her. “ But it also makes you sound noble and kind.”

Zora blushed a bit and looked away as she called him ‘kind’ there weren’t many people who would use that word to describe him, most would describe him as ‘disrespectful’ and a ‘prankster’. Admittedly Nebra had called him those things too in the past, but now that they had gotten to know each other her views on him had changed.

Which was how they were in their current situation, because she had developed feelings for him and decided to confess, saying that he was her hero, and that she loved him. But Zora…he wasn’t sure about that. So he decided to test her.

“ I’ll ask you again,”  He began after another minute or two of silence fell between them. “ If I was your hero, would you be mine? If I needed you at 5 o’clock in the morning would you come running? If we got into an argument and I begged you not to go, would you listen?” He asked as he turned to face her.

“ Are those requirements for us to start dating?” She asked curiously and Zora nodded, he watched her think for a moment. The silence was almost deafening as she didn’t speak for what felt like minutes, but was actually only a few seconds.

“ Then, I’ll be your hero.” She told him confidently, he blinked at her in surprise, the old Nebra would have scoffed and said ‘that’s too much work’ and then walked away. But this Nebra, she was taking his challenge head on. Which led him to believe that her feelings were genuine.

“ I can’t guarantee that I wouldn’t leave during an argument, but I would try my best.” Nebra said softly. “ If you called me at 5 o’clock in the morning, I would come running even if I was only a little annoyed. And I would do it all because I love you.”

Zora felt his heart skip a beat and his face grow red at her words, she loved him? He didn’t want to believe it, even as he saw the sincere look in her eye, but his heart…his heart made him believe her.

“ You’d better keep your promises Misty Princess,” Zora said as he began to walk past her with a grin. “ Because I’m a lot to handle after a while.”

“ Oh believe me, I know, Noelle told me just how big of a troublemaker you are. And I’m more than willing to take on that responsibility.” Nebra said with a grin of her own as she followed behind him.

She quickly ran up to him and blushed as he casually threw an arm over her shoulder. This was their ‘day one’ as an official couple, even though Solid had said it wasn’t really official until they kissed.

Yes, the Silva were productive... I am biased, obviously^^'

Nymphea and Valentina are twins, with Nymphea being the older one by three minutes. She is more like Nozel personality wise, while Valentina took more after Vanessa. They still got from the other parent, though.

It is a coincidence that they have the same initials as their parents... Nymphea and Valentina were also born on Valentine's Day^^'

Lavinia is the second child of Nozel and Vanessa, also very shy. She doesn't want to be a Magic Knight, finding more happiness in music and songs.

Cassandra was a surprise child, three years after Lavinia, but loved nonetheless. She is the wildest out of her sisters, if there is harshness in the Silva genpool, she got all of it. Cassandra also calls Yami uncle Dumpy.

Diego, Odette, Nebel and Zinnia are quadruplets. Which was a surprised to everyone. Diego and Zinnia are true wild pranksters, mini-versions of their parents, while Odette and Nebel are more calm, almost a miracle given who Nebra and Zora are.

Mathilda came many years later, as a surprise child. Nebra thought that she was done after giving birth to four babies at once, but she was very relieved that it was only one this time. Mathildas birth was also pretty fast, roughly twenty minutes.

The quadruplets are very protective of their baby sister, but baby Mathilda is going to be more a problem child than Diego, Zinnia and her parents together^^'

Eis is the first born of Solid and Rosette. He almost gave his parents and the midwives a scare because he didn't cried immediately when he was born.

Nanthilde is his sister, born four years later. Since she learned how to read, she had a soft spot for riddles and mysteries.

Both Eis and Nanthilde are very kind, like their mother. As much as their father was a brat in his youth, as much they are well-behaved. Solid is actually relieved they don't come too much after him personality wise.

Loreleï is the only daughter of Asta and Noelle. She was born a few days after Eis, which made them best friends since they were babies. Like her cousin Lavinia, she also doesn't want to become a Magic Knight, despite having her mother's amount of magic power.

Her brothers are much younger than her. Airgid is as wild as Asta with Noelles pride, a bit of a brat, but with a heart of of gold.

Nemo is the youngest, wild like his brother but kinder.

Fun fact, both Noelle and Asta were awful at giving names, even for their own children. Nozessa, Zobra and Sosette had to help them on that topic... which wasn't an easy task, but funny.

Nymphea has long silver hair like her father's, wavy like her mother's and Vanessas amethyst purple eyes, she has Silver magic. Valentina has the same eyes as her twin, but long straight hair like her grandmother, in a paler shade of Vanessas rosewood color, her magic is Tapestry. Lavinia has her mother's hair color, but the silky and thick structure of her father's (she wears them in two braids), she also has Nozels metallic lilac eyes, she got Vanessas Thread magic. Cassandra has silver hair, but very wild, a bit of mix of her parents and lavender purple eyes, her magic is Swords... given her wildness, it can be a stress factor for Nozel, one only Vanessa can calm him from.

Diego has his father strong red hair and also his deep blue eyes, looking like a mini-Zora, he has Spark magic. Odette has her mother's silver hair color, very wavy almost curly and like Diego, the eyes of her father, her magic is Cloud. Nebel's hair got a color mixed from his parents, with Nebra's gene a bit stronger, a pale pink, long and straight, his eyes are also a mix of his parents, a strong purple and like his name suggests, he got his mother's Mist magic. Zinnia has also pink hair, but unlike Nebel, her's are a stronger pink and are Wilde like Nebras, she also got her mother's magenta eyes, add to all of this Smoke magic. Mathilda has her father's red hair, pretty wild as well, and her mother's magenta eyes (a heavy contrast) and she got Water magic.

Eis has his mother's straight white blonde hair, which he wears short, his father blue eyes and like his name suggests, his magic is Ice. Nanthilde has curly hair, silver like Solid and Rosettes pale grey eyes (which got her the nickname Most Silver Silva), she got her mother's glass magic.

All of Astelle's children have water-based affinities (personal headcanon that Astas condition is not hereditary). Loreleï has her mother's straight long silver hair (unlike Noelle, she has her hair down most of the time) and her father's bright green eyes, her magic is Snow. Airgid has Astas wild ash blonde hair but wears it shoulder length and Noelles magenta eyes, he has Water magic like his mother. Nemo has silver hair but the same hairstyle like his father and also his mother's magenta eyes, his magic is Mist.

Chapter nine is finally here, sorry it took longer than usual I wanted to make sure this chapter was on the longer side

Grey was getting ready for her double date. She was nervous this would be her first date and she still can’t get over the fact she asked gauche to join her. She had asked him when she and Vanessa had bumped into him and his sister, she had unconsciously built up the courage to ask him out. At the time she felt embarrassed but now she is feeling a bit happy and nervous, this is everything she could have hoped for, not to mention that Zora and Nebra would be there so it won’t be awkward. Although Zora and Nebra will be there, and why they did love her, Grey is sure they will tease her and Gauche. Not to mention this would be Zora’s second time meeting Gauche, and after their first meeting Grey was sure Zora wasn’t too fond of the brunette, so she is hoping Nebra will be able to help keep Zora calm.

Knock Knock Knock

‘That must be Gauche’ Grey thought to herself, she looked at her blue dress and jacket, both of which she had bought with Vanessa, if all went well she would thank the pink haired women. Grey opened the door and was greeted by Gauche wearing jeans and a purple button up shirt. Grey blushed a bit thinking the man looked handsome in his attire, and Gauche thought she looked beautiful in her attire as well.

“Um, Hi Grey” Gauche scratched the back of his head nervously, this was his first date so of course he was nervous.

“H-Hi Gauche” Grey greeted back shyly.

“You look stunning today”

“S-So do you”

It got awkward now, neither of them knew what to do. All of a sudden Gauche held out hand for Grey who took it coyly. As they walked to the car Gauche opened the door for her, remembering what Sister Teresa told him to do for a lady. They drove to the restaurant the Purple Peacock, it was owned by Dorothy Unsworth, a close friend of Yami. That was one of the main reasons when Zora asked her where she wanted to go eat she chose there, because if anything were to happen she knew there would be people she could trust. Arriving there Gauche got out of the car and opened the door for her like a true gentleman, they then entered the restaurant where they heard a familiar voice.

“Grey, you made it” they heard Zora say, they both turned and saw Zora and his girlfriend Nebra silva sitting in a booth.

“Hi to you too Zora” Grey greeted her brother, who had gotten up to go hug her. “Hello Nebra, It’s good to see you again”

“I can same too you Grey” The silver haired women said with a smile, but she then noticed Gauche “oh, and you must be Grey’s date” Nebra asked, causing both Grey and Gauche to blush, and Zora to glare at Gauche, now just noticing the brunette’s existence.

“Um, hello I’m Gauche Adlai, and yes I’m Grey’s date” he said slightly embarrassed.

“Pleasure to meet the man who swept Grey off her feet” Nebra teased them. “Why don’t you two take a seat, and Grey before you say anything the food is on me”

“But Nebr-”

“Ah ah ah, It’s fine Grey” Nebra assured her. Grey never liked people wasting their money on her, she didn’t like it when Zora did it when they first started hanging out, and she definitely doesn’t like it when Nebra does it. Despite Nebra saying she was financially stable didn’t mean Grey didn’t feel guilty, and she always swore (much to Nebra insistence not to) Grey always promised to pay her back some way somehow, since Nebra wouldn’t accept any cash Grey offered her. As Grey and Gauche sat down and looked at the menu to order, Zora whether he realized or not had sat closer to Grey in a protective way, which didn’t go unnoticed by Nebra. She nudged his shoulder so that he would stop. Once they had all ordered their food the table got quite awkward, being that Grey and Gauche didn’t know what to say, Zora seemingly hating Gauche’s guts, and Nebra trying to hold the double date together.

“So how’s life going Grey?” Nebra asked, trying to ease the tension.

“Well everything so far has gone…alright” Grey responded, remembering the mission.

“Really, did something happen?” Nebra noticed the tone of the response and got a bit concerned.

“U-Um, just a bad day at work” Grey tried to not mention seeing her ex’s brother, especially not when Gauche is here.

“I understand that, I’ve had my fair share of terrible days” Nebra sighed, she then laid her head on Zora’s shoulder. “But then I get to spend time with this prankster”

Zora smiled and gave her a small kiss on her forehead before turning back to Grey and Gauche.

“That’s very sweet” Grey smiled, the thought of that sounded incredible to her. Being able to come home after a long tiring day and resting with the person you love sounds like a dream to her.

“So Grey, how long have you and Gauche known each other, Co-worker wise, before you two started dating?” Nebra asked.

“Oh, um I believe for two years, right?” She looked at Gauche for confirmation.

“Give or take, though this is our first date” Gauche blushed, responding though he never expected to go out on a date with Grey, so far he must admit he was enjoying it. Though Zora seemed to have it out for him, he could tell from their first meeting and now that Zora hated his guts, just because he was having a date with Grey.

“So Gauche, what do you do? I understand since you are co-workers with Grey you must do something close to her department right?” Zora asked, the question catching both Grey and Gauche off guard. Grey’s alibi is that she worked at the Blue roses that is run by Charlotte Roselei, another close friend of Yami. But would they buy that he works there?

“I work for the marketing department” Gauche said in a calm demeanor, he knew her alibi and with his quick thinking thought of a position that would be believable and one he could use later on if need be.

“Oh really, well you seem like you would be good at marketing” Nebra responded, obviously seeming very believable. Even Zora thought it did make sense, as much as he hates to admit it.

“So what made you want to date Grey huh?” Zora asked with venom in his voice.

“Zora?” Grey asked, concerned.

“Because…” Gauche stopped, he asked her out because Marie wanted a sister, but is that what he told himself so as to not face his feelings? The longer he took the worse it looked, and more furious Zora got.

“Hey, why don’t you talk?”

“Zora please” Grey pleaded, she started feeling bad once Gauche stopped talking but Zora trying to aggravate him made her feel worse.

“Look at him he doesn’t even know why, he should know by now, I’ll be damned if you date someone who can’t answer a simple question!” The tense was thick and Grey for one couldn’t handle it, she got up just as Gauche snapped out of it.

“Grey?” He asked

“I-I’m going to see what’s taking our drinks so long, o-okay” She told them, Knowing the distress they caused her none of them said anything in resistance. She walked to the bar and asked for their drinks, and while there she sighed feeling terrible like she caused this.

“Why so sad sis?” An all too familiar voice asked. Grey looked next to her to find Vanica Zogratis staring at her with her one crimson eye, Grey felt so much terror. Vanica out of all of them scared her the most second only to him, Vanica would always torture her either mentally or physically and at the end of the day would still call her sister like some sick joke. Grey couldn’t do anything but quickly walk back from Vanica, she knew vanica wasn’t dumb and she wouldn’t attack Grey in public, she was a hunter she would wait for her prey to be alone. So Grey had to get to a safe place. The base that was her safe haven, but that would mean leaving Zora and Nebra in the middle of their double date, Grey was conflicted should she leave for her own safety? Or should she stay for the sake of the date, but is she willing to put them in danger? In the end she made her decision. Grey ran to the table and grabbed Gauche’s arm.

“W-We have to leave”

“What, why Grey?” Gauche asked concerned, Zora and Nebra were worried as well.

“B-Because I just remembered we have to do something at work”

“But it’s ten o’clock?” Zora asked suspiciously.

“Y-Yeah, well our boss is big on getting work done” She laughed nervously before dragging Gauche back to the car.

“H-Hey, Grey what’s going on?” Gauche asked as they could hear Zora asking where they were going.

“No time to explain, just drive to the base!” Grey said finally able to freak out.

Gauche then saw a woman with black hair and an eye patch walk out the restaurant, looking around till her eyes landed on Grey, whose face turned pale. Gauche understood the situation and immediately started the car and drove off rapidly. Vanica watched as her sister and who seemed to be her partner drove away.

“Oh how fun” She said in a borderline seductive yet blood thirsty voice. She got in her car and chased after them at high speeds, meanwhile Gordon had witnessed it all and told Dorothy who soon contacted Yami. All the while the chase continued.

“Come on come on we’re almost there” Grey said as she looked back using the mirrors, she was panicking and it showed.

“Grey we’ll make it trust me okay, I don’t know who that woman is but I assure you, I won’t let her hurt you” Gauche told her, It helped her calm down a bit but Gauche didn’t know what Vanica was unlike she did. If Vanica caught them, it would be a fate worse than death.

“Gauche the exit!” Grey screamed, just in time too because once they turned it caught Vanica off guard and she was going too fast and couldn’t turn in time. She crashed into a tree and sat there motionless as Grey and Gauche got away and made it to the base safely.

“H-Haha HAHAHAHA!!!” Vanica laughed maniacally as blood dripped down her face from her forehead ‘That damn bitch!’ She thought as she pulled out her phone and dialed her brother.

Zenon answered the phone while he was talking to Dante.

“Vanica, did you retrieve her?” Zenon asked.

“No the blue hair skank got away, and I’m afraid where she went won’t be an easy place to break into” She told them, Zenon was frustrated but couldn’t hold a candle to Dante’s fury.

“Gather the disciples,” Dante said with authority. “I’ll retrieve her myself” He said, and Zenon knew better than to fight him on the subject so as soon as he hung up ok Vanica, ensuring someone would go get her, he walked to gather the troops.

All the while Dante looked out the window.

“My love, I’ll remind you just how much I love you”

I ship neither. I can't see zora getting close to someone of a high class outside the bulls let alone get in relationship with them, this concept does not work in my head because this is zora, and the few fics I read for both pairs didn't work for me so, uh, I think I'll just go with the one whose family I'm the most invested in...

neither of them remembers the other's name and neither of them plans to remember it, instead they go with nicknames.

I see them as one of those rumored maybe couples who never get together but will cross each other's paths once every 3-4 months.

in the far future zora will build his own school, peasant-only (but is open to anyone suffers from discrimination), while kirsch will build his own, royal/noble-only, the two schools are bitter rivals.

Zora x Nebra:

insulting each other? this is their love language.

nebra is in love with zora's fashion sense and keeps asking his advice for what to wear in this party or that festival, his response often starts along the lines of "bitch open your eyes I only wear this shit so people like you hate me!" - then proceeds to give her the most horrendous advice and the madwoman actually loves it!

neither of them is capable to live with the other and abandons his life, so they only meet each other in neutral places like the black bulls' base and keep reminding the other that, yeah, we'll only do this 'till one of us find a fitting partner.

Zora x Rebecca vs. Zora x Nebra(?)

Ah, two girls who never met zora in canon... obviously I'll go with the one who has a simple life and loving family and deserves as much love as zora!! I like rebecca, let's go with this ship, I want them both to have a happy ending and peaceful future.

rebecca's siblings adore zora so much, her youngest one even sees him as parental figure and calls him 'dad' (and zora freaks out every time because holy shit).

rebecca has her own restaurant and zora visits her on regular basis to help her around and teach her new recipes, thinks of coffee shop vibes with slow burn (rebecca stopped looking for guys because none is willing to accept her siblings and they’ll always come first).

if they ever had kids, they'll have one girl and that's when zora will drop the mask, retire magic knights heroism, and create a school to teach the new generation (co-lead with another bull).

Hiya anon! Of course you may, I chose Nebra to be the one afraid of storms and Zora being the one to comfort her because I thought it would be cute 😅 but I hope you enjoy~!

Nebra quietly snuggled into her husband's chest as they sat in bed and listened to it rain, well, rain was an understatement. It was more like a fierce storm was raging outside. There were a few cracks of lightning and roars of thunder and when a gust of wind swept through the raindrops hit the window beside their bed.

Nebra wasn’t one to usually be afraid of storms, but this one was making her oddly nervous. As another crack of lightning flashed through the sky, Nebra couldn’t help but inhale sharply, anticipating the loud thunder that would follow shortly behind.

But before the thunder roared, she felt her husband's warm and comforting arms wrap around her in a tight embrace. She looked up at him and saw him staring down at her, his eyes asking if she was okay, and she nodded.

Zora kissed the top of her head and his hands rubbed her arms comfortingly as another bit of thunder and lightning rang through the sky.

“ I had no idea you were scared of storms,” Zora muttered against her hair.

“ I’m not normally, it’s just…this one has me nervous, is all,” Nebra muttered as she closed her eyes and nuzzled her face against his chest and closed her eyes tightly.

Zora nodded in understanding as he placed another kiss on the top of her head.

“ It’ll be over soon, I think I heard some of the others say it would end around midnight or so?” Zora told her softly, and she just nodded against his chest as another low rumble rang out.

“ I hope you’re right because I don’t think my nerves can take much more.” Nebra tried to joke but ended up failing.

“ Do you want me to tell you a story?” Zora asked with a curious tone. “ It’s an interesting one,” He added, and Nebra frowned a bit but nodded.

Zora cleared his throat a bit before he began to tell her a story about a young princess, who had a bad attitude, but underneath she had a heart of gold. And a young rogue who enjoyed his pranks but was truly kind. Nebra couldn’t help but chuckle, it was so obvious that it was a story about the two of them, but she didn’t mind. She closed her eyes as she listened to him tell his tale, and eventually, she ended up falling asleep, listening to the soothing voice of her husband and the soft sound of the rain hitting their bedroom window.

I'm not sure I can really imagine my personal perceptions of Zora and Nebra really getting along with each other seeing as they are so different as people and have such wildly different priorities and values, but if they did manage to come to appreciate, respect, and even admire their differences (as they do in some of the great fics I've had the pleasure to read about them 😊), then I could definitely support the ship. I can also see how the banter they might have would be fun and entertaining. I just personally don't have much of an opinion on it or any clear ideas on how it would happen or what their interactions with each other would be like, so I'd say I'm pretty neutral on this one personally, but I do see the appeal. ^^

Finral x Vanessa is a favorite pairing of mine for sure, though I also love them in a purely platonic sense as well. I did the big write up about them here, but to summarize, the Finral and Vanessa dynamic whether romantic or platonic has always been one of my favorite things in all of Black Clover. They just know each other so well, are so good for each other, and just care for each other so much and so deeply as friends. They're basically platonic soulmates in my opinion. For that reason, there is definitely a part of me that doesn't want to change the dynamic at all and doesn't want it to go to a romantic place. It is so beautiful and so healthy just as friendship and the world needs more examples of healthy, deep, and platonic relationships (and male-female friendships especially!), but... on the other hand, I'll admit imagining their friendship taking a more romantic turn someday is a huge guilty pleasure for me.

I'm usually not much into romance in fiction or in real life, but best friends to lovers (when it's done well) can really get to me, and in this particular case, I think, after everything Vanessa and Finral have both been through and suffered in their lives, it's just nice to imagine that they get to have a happy future and a relationship that's comfortable and easy with someone who really understands them—someone who is genuinely supportive and who truly sees them for who they are: both the good and the bad and who chooses to loves them anyway. 🩷💚

And I don't think it is completely impossible for them for find it with each other (even if it's definitely unlikely, especially now that Finral's history with Finesse has been established). While I do believe they are genuinely best friends (and not in any sort of "mutual pining" situation or something like that), the idea of them as a ship does make sense to me because I can imagine their relationship taking a more romantic turn under certain, specific circumstances (that take place way, way in the future after Finral does some serious soul-searching: learns to love himself, kicks that incessant flirting habit, builds confidence, and sorts out what it is that he actually wants, just to name a few things), and I can imagine a world where they could end up romantically interested in each other and happy together in that way, in a relationship that develops healthily and naturally by just building on that strong friendship foundation they already have kind of like the ‘icing on the cake’ of their already amazing bond. It's not impossible, I think, and I'll admit it is something I really enjoy thinking about and sometimes exploring in my fics.

They are definitely in the "guilty pleasure ship" category, but I do think it makes sense (to an extent) and it's extremely compelling for me and one of my favorite canon character x canon character pairings in Black Clover.

7 ☘️ … that I liked but had to cut Hm, the only thing that comes close to that in my memories is the original ending to an oneshot I wrote back in 2022. But the actual ending fit better with what I intended to write with this story. I actually ended up preferring the final ending more than what I originally planned.

Without letting go of the blanket, Vanessa turned in Nozels arms and gave him a soft kiss on the lips.

“Ugh, gross.”

“Shut up, Solid!”

“Oh my, the prince and the witch are getting naughty.”

“What do you mean, Zora? They’re just loving with each other.”

Vanessa broke the slowly, so that Nozel could still savour the lingering of her lips on his.

“So, until now, do you like it, handsome?” she whispered, so that he was the only one to hear her.

“Yes.”

Vanessa smiled, before turning around and clap her hands to get everyone’s attention. “Okay, people, he opened all the presents and now it’s time for cake.”

Nozel smiled. He just felt so happy, like he never did for years on his birthday. Honestly, he would love to have something blissful like that again next year. All seven of them together, so casually and genuinely happy.

They started eating the cake and ended up spending the whole day in his room. From Bedroom Birthday, another oneshot I wrote for Nozels birthday, in 2022 this time. This is the ending I ended up preferring.

“I am very aware of the obvious family bonds I share with my sister, thank you very much,” Nozel just said, pinching the bridge of his nose in annoyance. He really would have preferred if another Black Bull would find out. That shy girl Grey, for example.

Vanessa laughed at his statement, while kissing his cheek.

“Gross,” Gauche muttered, for which Vanessa throw a pillow at his face. “Geez, Wino, what was that for?”

“I’m very open, but I don’t accept showing affection for my boyfriend being called gross.”

“I would gladly appreciate if you won’t call my girlfriend Wino, Adlai,” Nozel added, looking sternly at Gauche, who gulped. “Vanessa might not care about it, but I won’t tolerate kindly that you call her like that in front of me. I’m not sure that Grey would like your attitude either, even though she likes you a lot.”

“Wait… how do you… Vanessa!”

“What? Nozel knows how much I care about you all, so he asks me how you’re going and I tell him everything, of course. Nothing to worry about.”

“Everything?” Magna asked in fear. From Nothing To Worry About, just Magna and Gauche learning about Nozel and Vanessa by catching them making out.

Ideas for Combination Magickodahs

So, I was considering some ideas of combination magic, in part because it's a pity some of these combinations will likely never see the light of Black Clover's pages or the Black Clover Mobile game, or even the anime. To be honest, they aren't that well thought-out, but, eh. You can still use 'em if you want.

Trap Magic x Mist Magic -- Trapper's Confusion

A thick mist spreads across an area, underwhich are concealed traps which can't be sensed because their mana signature is concealed by the mist magic. Furthermore, illusions of Nebra and Zora clones pop up randomly to distract the opposition. Works better on strangers.

World Tree Magic x Fire Magic -- Inferno ex Elysium / Forest Phoenix

(Specifically for William and Mereoleona)

A giant form of a floral phoenix initially creates an animated barrier between the allies and the opposition. From the back of the phoenix, plantlife starts sprouting an a soothing aura spreads, healing/regenerating the allies. But then the front catches on fire, the giant bird claps its wings in the face of the opposition, and spreads fire on the oppositions half of the battlefield, causing burn damage, creating immense heat on one half of the battlefield and overall creating an inhospitable environment that acts to drain the opposition of mana. The bird may then attack for as long as it is boosted by both users magic -- which may require extra prep-time.

Light Magic x Sealing Magic - Light Purgatory / Sealed Sanctuary

One is a form of restraining magic which can restrain multiple enemies in an area of brilliant, blinding light where they may even die if trapped too long. The other is a protective, barrier spell which also doubles as a healing spell.

Mirror Magic x Transformation Magic - Mirror Metamorphosis

A combination of Gauche's and Grey's magic, which gives each user a mirror. Whatever reflection they see in it is the form they can take -- it can also function as a means of creating clones of someone you have seen but isn't present in the battlefield, but Grey/Gauche needs to have seen them before.

Mirror Magic x Mist Magic - Hall of Mirrors

Creates a confusing mase of mirrors which seeks to disorient the opposition through presenting illusions of mages that look like they are standing there as the mirror aspect of it can't really be seen -- it can also create physical duplicates/clones of the allies.

Mercury Magic x Dream Magic - Toxic Dreamscape

Basically, it traps the opposition into a sort of nightmare scape that is the result fo combining mercury magic and dream magic. It can disorient, de-buff, restrain and even kill the opposition, especially the longer they last there. Also, you have a greater chance of being poisoned by breathing in mercury gas which is in the surrounding air. But allies are provided with gas masks.

Water Spirit Magic x Song Magic - (1) Oceans Lullaby, (2) Twin Sirens

(1) Creates a song/water barrier with healing properties spreading through the inside of the barrier. Radius depends on how much mana is available among other factors.

(2) Utilising Undine, and ultimate magic, it allows both Noelle and Kahono to tranform provided they both have sufficient mana. Kahono's side of the spell gives the transformation de-buff/incapacitate abilities (through allowing both users to "sing" people either to sleep/insanity/etc) and offensive powers come from Noelle's side of the spell. On the other hand, if one of the transformation fails, the other does too.

Antimagic x Fire Magic - Antifire/Inflammable Hellscape

Turns out inflammable just means it catches fire easily. So yeah, it's very firey, and prevents the establishment of the opposition's magical spells through being overpowering both in terms of anti magic and firemagic.

Plant Magic / Steel Magic - Steel Garden

Mimosa and Klaus' magic combined to create a garden of steel flowers which defend and heal the allies, while showing their steel thorns to the enemy. The steel flowers can also spread and become a menace by hijacking the enemies spells through their steel seeds which then blossom into flowers and control the spell to Mimosa & Klaus' liking instead.

Fire Magic x Snow Magic - (1) Volatile Weather (2) Cosy Winter Wonderland

(1) Creates extreme and fluctuating weather events that require the opposition to use mana for mana skins thus draining them of their mana. It can also inflict burn/freeze damage on the enemy - might even set them on fire/cause frostbite. The allies are protected by a combination of fire and snow mana skin that works in tandem with the changing climate.

(2) Creates a beautiful but lethal winter wonderland using Fragil's side of the spell which can incapacitate or weaken the enemy, and allows for heated defensive armour (with lions on it) from Fuego's side of the spell to be used for the allies.

Lightning x Scissor Magic - Scissor Blitz

Scissors made of lightning come blitzing down on the opposition, attacking them from various sides. It's a fast and therefore hard to dodge attack. (Also Helene Barbary has scissor magic. Pity she isn't a magic knight. Maybe with some training her magic could be pretty overpowered, considering what Jack's magic could do.)

Paint Magic x Food Magic - Divine Desserts

Through food art, fields of icing and seas of sticky toffee, and cream incapacitate or slow down the enemy, while being a source of mana regeneration and a certain degree of immortality for the allies (allies might report feeling more youthful/rejuvenated, too). This can also allow for the spell to potentially be endless, unless Charmy is taken out.

Paint Magic x Cotton Magic - (1) Sheep Gods / (2) Painting Sheep

(1) Creates Gods shaped like sheep which pummel the enemy using a mixture of paint and cotton magic.

(2) Charmy's cotton sheep function as sort of assistant painters who borrow from Rill's specific attribute in order to be able to use the spells he can use. Depending on how much of Rill's mana they have soaked up in their wool - which can be seen by how paint covered their wool is - they can continue casting Rill's spells even after Rill's lost the ability to, and can since there's more of them, it means they can attack from more sides. They may further be boosted by good magic.

Zora x Nebra -> doesn’t make sense, compels me so much

So for the making sense part I’ve read a post made by @the-black-bulls and I agree that this would kind of go against Zora’s conviction. Nebra’s about peasants as well.

However and hear me out they do compel me a lot!

I’ve made an art for them, I have a story planned for them in Paper Hearts and I’m currently reading an amazing fic the Agreement by @f-oighear. I love their cracks ship dynamic so much. They are a mess, they are a disaster, but how great they are together. They’re also very funny <3

I do think that there needs to be some outside input for them to actually start interacting. However once they will and if Nebra goes through character development (she does in Paper Hearts), I think that the attraction will win.

Also there are so many gorgeous arts for them and that’s how I actually got to love this ship. Casually stumbling upon them and then thinking “yeah they would fit my fic”, so another one of my pre-tumblr ships. And i did grow to like them more as I came up with a plot for them. (this is going to be so funny, but in the right time)

Aww Zorbra, the fandom favourite crack ship ^^ I tried to make it funny, but it ended up being mostly Zora teasing Nebra, hope it's funny enough ^^'

A cafè... Nebra thought to herself with a slight frown. When she had agreed on a date at a location picked by Zora, she had expected him to pick something like a ... park of a field for a picnic. Places that would be... well, they weren't exactly fit for royalty, but even royals did enjoy picnics. Granted that said picnics were different from those of commoners.

There was bitterness in her thoughts, but if she was completely honest with herself, she did go to cafés herself too. Only that those cafès were different from the one she was now going to. This was more... casual. And it was very public, in the sense that anyone close enough to eavesdrop on their conversation and start spreading the wildest of rumours.

Though... it's not like nobles wouldn't do that too, she had to admit while arriving in.

The places was decorated with pastels, soft and delicate items; it didn't look like a place that Zora would pick.

Speaking of him, where is he? He didn't pick me up from the headquarters like a proper gentleman. Though I don't want the Eagles sticking their noses in my business. Aren't any of the servants going to usher me in?

"Hiya doll."

Nebra turned around to see Zora strolling in with his hands in his pockets.

"Hey. Why aren't they showing me in? Why weren't you waiting for me? And didn't you-"

"Hey, hey, tone down on the third degree," he said while rubbing the back of his head. "First, they're not showing you in 'cause you can pick your table by yourself. Second, I thought you said that you didn't want me picking you up from the Silver Eagles' headquarters?"

Nebra looked away since he caught her on her own words. And she didn't think about just... taking a seat. She wasn't used to that kind of.. lack of service.

"Let's pick a table, shall we?" Zora said before looking over to the cafè. "Maybe from next to the window?" He suggested while pointing to a booth in the corner.

Nebra agreed to the suggestion with a nod, and something that Zora could swear as a faint blush. But he swallowed the faint chuckle that he nearly let out.

"I hear this place is famous for smoothies," Zora said out loud as they strolled towards the table.

"Well... I guess we should try it, if it's the best this place has..." she said, trying to sound confident through the blush.

"Mhm," Zora hummed as they sat down. He could see through the act she was putting up in an effort to hide the fact that she was nervous. Not that she'd ever admit it.

She was scratching the back of her neck while sitting at the booth, looking outside as the blush still lingered.

"Dry skin?" He suggested, making Nebra lower her hand down.

"No," she only muttered with a faint pout.

"Or then could it be..." he started while reaching closer to her, over the table.

"What are you-?"

"This must be it," he pulled his hand back with a coin in his hand. "You had a coin tucked behind your ear," he smirked, as if he really had pulled a coin from behind her ear.

"Hey!" She said. "I don't-, I... how did you do that? I didn't feel any surge of mana," she admitted.

"And I'm pretty sure that you would have," he smirked again. "I just got nimble hands."

"Pretty sure," she commented.

"Pretty sure," he grinned.

"Getting quite bold, aren't you," she grinned, as if to mirror his.

"I've got to be, don't I?" He shrugged as the smirk still lingered.

She let out an amused huff with a feigned roll of her eyes. Feigned because he did have a point. He wouldn't be dating her if he wasn't bold.

"Hello," greeted a waiter who just approached the table with a smoothie with two straws. "A couple smoothie for the happy couple, on the house!" She said while putting it down onto the table.

"Thanks," Zora thanked while Nebra just looked at the smoothie.

"Probably are after recommendations from royalty."

"Oh come on, take a good thing when offered," he said while twirling one of the straws between his fingers. The straw that was on her side of the glass. "Come now doll face," he smirked again with a glimmer in the corner of his eye.

Her eyes flickered around for a moment, she tensed a took a deep breath as the blush intensified.

"O..kay," she uttered while leaning forward and taking a sip through the straw, as Zora leaned in too and took a sip from his own straw.

His face was so close to hers that she could feel his warmth through the air.

But the thing was.... that she smiled. She didn't want to pull away.

He might have been... irritating, at times, but he tried to make her smile. And... he did.
