Classical Dancer Of India Lavya Khanna

The infant Lavya Khanna was born on April 21st of 2004 in Ambala city, Haryana, in the loving family of Naresh Kumar Khanna and Sneha Khanna. Her supportive father is a hardworking businessman, and the loving mother of the girl is an efficient homemaker. The talented child attended Army Public School, Ambala Cantt, where the multitasking pupil became the house captain of the institution. The brilliant student gained a great score of 95.4 percent in the 10th CBSE board examination held in the year 2019-2020 with perseverance. The smart girl from school likes dancing, drawing, painting, cooking and other creative hobbies. Mother and grandmother of classical dancer of India are passionate about dancing and encourage their kid to dance to take the first step towards the journey of the marvellous dream at the tender age of six.

Lavya Khanna first learned hip-hop and various other forms of western dance. The emerging dancer would enjoy every moment and step to which the girl shook her leg. As the best dancer in India, gradually she was attracted by classical and diverse dances. It was when the elegant kid began to love folk dance when she was attending DAD Academy. As a result, the aspiring artist soon began to enjoy the folk dance culture happily. Subsequently, the graceful child took admission at Satyug Darshan Sangeet Kala Kendra when she was 12 years old in 2015 to pursue a six years course of Kathak. In the institution, her mentor Anjou Miglan taught a budding dancer all the movements, expressions and sensing rhythms from basics to advanced level with all the gracefulness required. Even Lavya Khanna attentively listened and followed the instructions of the experienced teacher to become an exceptional Kathak dancer like her inspirational tutor. The enchanting trainee undoubtedly achieved the topmost rank in the yearly examination at the dance institution held in the fourth year by scoring 95 marks out of 100 in the practical test with quick grasping and dedication towards the art.
The classical dancer achieved second prize for the effortless Haryanvi Solo Dance and received the award from Siddhesh Pai in 2015. Then in 2016, the polished superstar obtained three national awards for outstanding performance. Two of the awards were received from Akhil Bharatiya Sanskrutik Sangh Pune Global Harmony organised in Pune in Maharashtra. Lavya Khanna was also honoured with the first prize in a solo dance competition by Manan Sachdeva. The intelligent star grabbed a gold medal in the 6th Cultural Olympiad of Performing Arts-2016, which was an International event organised at Bishop's College Auditorium, Colombo, Srilanka. Her dance performance was aired on D.D Punjabi in September 2016 through programmes like Paniri. The graceful dancer and her flawless team stood first in a semi-classical group dance with the mind-blowing act in a National Dance Competition arranged by the LAY School of Performing Art with the title of Saptarang Cultural Festival 2016 organised in Maharashtra.
The year 2017 was a golden period for Lavya Khanna as she achieved several successes. India's best female dancer was felicitated with a gold medal for Kathak and Haryanvi dance performance by the rotary club in Colombo, Sri Lanka. TThis talented star won third place in the state dance competition and won the Governor's Award in November for her fascinating performance. The Women and Child Welfare Minister, DC of Ambala and Haryana Minister Aseem Goel Ji awarded the elegant entertainer for the great work and dedication in dance. She has recorded her name in the International Book of Records for Twist Dance at Karnal, Haryana. The skilful artist took part in various National and International events and made the country and the hometown proud with her talent. The Dance India Dance (DID) show finalist Uday Sachdeva awarded first prize to Lavya Khanna in a solo dance competition.
The FYLFOT Forum at Solan organised Abhinay 2018 in the 32nd All India Drama and Dance Competition, where the graceful dancer gained three National Awards with her perfect show. The charming dancer recieved the Karamveer Chakra Award, which was organised in the partnership of ICONGO and the United Nations at IIT, Delhi, on October 12, 2019. Moreover, in the same year, Lavya Khana passed the NCC CADET examination with an A grade certificate in 2019. The capable dancer obtained the Saraswatibai Dadasaheb Phalke Award and Star Iconic Award for the delightful performances in 2021. The star performer won 1st prize in the National Level Dance competition held in Rajasthan.
Lavya Khanna has impressed people around the globe with her graceful dance from a young age making India proud. The talented girl had dreamed of being a dancer, and later, she achieved the goal with determination, perseverance, and the support of family and guru. The skilful performer has taught every one to accomplish every desire with strong willpower and hard work.

NCCS PhD Admission August 2021 Programme
NCCS, Pune, invites applications from eligible candidates for admissions to the Ph.D. programme of the August-2021 session. The candidates should be bonafide Indian citizens, having a consistently good academic record with strong motivation to pursue research in modern biology leading to a Ph.D. degree and with eligibility mentioned below should apply for the same.
Students with a post-graduate degree and having valid fellowship from CSIR/ UGC/ DBT (Category I)/ICMR/ BINC, all are eligible to apply.
DST-Inspire qualified students with NET-LS or GATE are also eligible to apply.
Students with post-graduate degrees, who do not have a fellowship but have qualified JGEEBILS examination conducted by NCBS/TIFR held on 08th December 2019 are eligible to apply. However, candidates who are shortlisted by NCCS criteria will only be called for an interview.
A limited number of fellowships will be provided by NCCS to the selected students, who do not have fellowship (from CSIR/DBT/ICMR/UGC/DST-Inspire/BINC) but have qualified JGEEBILS and are selected by NCCS. Submission of application to the NCCS-PhD programme does not automatically guarantee that a candidate will be shortlisted for an interview.
Shortlisted candidates fulfilling NCCS criteria will have to appear for an online interview to be held at NCCS on 22nd, 23rd and 24th June 2021. Detailed eligibility conditions are given hereunder.
Eligibility For NCCS August PhD Programme:
Should have Masters (postgraduate) degree in any branch of Sciences with interest in pursuing research in Modern Biology, having at least 55% or equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA) (A relaxation of 5% of marks, shall be allowed for SC/ST/OBC and Persons With Disabilities) and with a valid fellowship from CSIR/UGC/ DBT/ICMR/ BINC, etc. OR DST-Inspire with NET-LS or GATE.
Students with post-graduate degrees, who do not have individual fellowship but have qualified JGEEBILS exam conducted by NCBS/TIFR on 08th December 2019 will be eligible to apply. Students will be shortlisted based on JGEEBILS results by NCCS criteria for interview. NCCS’s decision in this regard will be final. Please write your JGEEBILS December 2019 Reference Code on the top of the application form at the designated place.
How to Apply
1) Candidates who have qualified only for Lectureship in CSIR-UGC (NET) and the “Project List of ICMR” are not eligible.
2) NCCS’s Ph.D. programme is a residential programme. The selected candidates may have to stay on campus.
3) All the eligible complete applications received within the last date will be screened and shortlisted candidates will be called for interview as per the schedule given.
4) Other terms and conditions of the fellowship will be directed by the funding agency awarding the fellowship. The upper age limit for JRF shall be 28 years which is relaxed up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/Women/PWD and 3 years in case of OBC candidates, or as applicable.
5) Fellowship will be activated as per the respective funding agencies’ guidelines on Direct Benefit Transfer basis. NCCS will not be responsible for providing.
6) Reservation will be as per Government of India guidelines.
7) SC/ST/OBC candidates should also attach a true copy of the Caste Certificate / Latest non-creamy layer certificate along with the application and originals that should be produced at the time of the interview.
8) Kindly mention “Application for Ph.D. — August 2021 Session” in the subject of the e-mail.
9) The complete application form (download from NCCS website) along with the copies of the M.Sc. marks statement and Fellowship certificate/admit card should be sent by e-mail to [email protected] (One PDF file containing application in the prescribed format along with certificates) on or before 21st May 2021.

Interviews:
Online interviews will be held at NCCS, Pune of all shortlisted candidates as per the selection criteria set by NCCS. Details of the interview process will be published on the NCCS website along with the list of shortlisted candidates on 07th June. 2021.

The Tata Institute of Fundamental Research is India’s premier institution for advanced research in fundamental sciences. The Graduate Programme at TIFR is classified into the following Subjects – Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer & Systems Sciences (including Communications and Machine Learning) and Science Education. It is conducted at the Mumbai campus and various National Centres of TIFR.

Eligibility
Candidates in the final year of a qualifying degree can also apply.
Biology: Candidates will be shortlisted for interview based on written test marks, CV, letters of recommendation and Scientific write-up. For Ph.D.: Masters in Basic Science (M.Sc. Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics/ any branch of Biology) or any professional Master’s Degree (M.Pharma./M.Tech.), or a > 4 year degree program (e.g. MBBS, BDS). Students holding an M.Sc. degree in a non-Biology-allied discipline such as Chemistry / Physics / Mathematics / Computer Science, and who wish to obtain an M.Sc. in Biology, will be offered the option of enrolling in the I-Ph.D. programme at the time of joining. For I-Ph.D./M.Sc.: Bachelors in any Basic Science (Physics/ Chemistry/Mathematics/any branch of Biology) OR any 4-year degree programme that awards a “Bachelor’s degree” including B.Tech., B.E., B.V.Sc., B.Pharma. (4-year course).
Admission Procedure
The admissions procedure (in all subjects, except Science Education) consists of an online test at one of the several nationwide centres, followed by interviews/ written test II of shortlisted candidates.
Shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews to be held during April-May 2021.  The exact dates would be announced later.
Results of the entrance examination will be announced on end-February of, 2021 and students shortlisted for interview will be intimated by email.
Biology:
The TIFR Nationwide Entrance Examination (GS2021) for Biology is also called the Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JGEEBILS). See http://www.ncbs.res.in/JGEEBILS.

Fellowship
For Ph.D. and I-Ph.D. programmes, the academic year starts from August 1, every year.  The academic year for M.Sc. programme begins from July 1, every year.
Ph.D. Students receive a monthly fellowship of Rs 31,000/- enhanced to Rs 35,000/- after registration.
I-Ph.D.  Students receive a monthly fellowship of Rs 21,000/- for the first year. At the end of the first year, upon satisfactory performance, the fellowship is enhanced to Rs 31,000/- per month (further raised to Rs 35,000/- after registration for Ph.D.). 
M.Sc. (Biology) Students receive a monthly fellowship of Rs 16,000/- (+HRA as applicable).
Accommodation is provided to Ph.D. and I-Ph.D. students only, at a nominal cost.  
Application Procedure
Students can apply online for TIFR GS2021 Exam Notification.  Please follow the appropriate link on this website for filling up the application form.  Read the instructions carefully before you start filling up the online application form.  DO NOT MAKE MULTIPLE REGISTRATIONS FOR THE SAME SUBJECT.
Students may take the online test in multiple subjects provided the timings do not clash. Please submit separate application/fees for each subject.
Application Fee can be paid only through online mode.

Please note: Instructions for downloading/ printing of Hall tickets will be intimated by email, only after receipt of application fee/approval of fee waiver.
Application Fee Waiver
A waiver of the application fee on grounds of financial distress may be requested by a letter from the Principal or the Head of the Department justifying the request.  The letter/recommendation from the Principal/HOD should be on the official letterhead duly signed and stamped.
Students applying online may click the fee waiver option in the payment section of the application form and upload the scanned copy of the recommendation letter to their registration profile.
Please note that fee waiver requests would be considered depending on the availability of seats in each Centre and cannot be guaranteed.

Before you choose Ph.D. or Integrated Ph.D. program in the basic registration form, please go through the eligibility criteria carefully.  Click here to go to page. Ensure that you have typed your email ID correctly in the basic registration form.  A sms is sent on the mobile number and an email is sent after completion of the basic registration wherein login credentials are given to complete the form.
After login, please click “Go to Application” link on the right-top corner of the page and complete the full application. This link may not be visible on mobile browsers. In that case please try and use laptop/desktop.
Before you start filling up the complete application form make sure you have the following ready with you : 1. Scanned image/electronic copy of your Passport size photograph (preferably a jpg file below 80 kb in size).  Applications with personal photos (selfies) or edited photos uploaded will be rejected. 2. Scanned copy of signature (preferably a jpg file below 80 kb in size). 3. If you are applying under the Fee Waiver category, the scanned copy of the recommendation letter from the Principal/HOD of your college. 4. If you are applying under the disability category, you will need to upload a scanned copy of the disability certificate.
If you intend to apply for multiple subjects, you will have to provide a different email id for each application.
Check all the details before clicking the submit button.  
You may take a print of your application after successful registration or save the same as a pdf file.
Applicants paying the application fee online will be directed to the payment gateway.  Follow the instructions carefully and complete the payment transaction.  If the transaction is not completed due to technical reasons, you may log in to your account and check the application/payment status.  After successful completion of the transaction, please log in to your account and check the payment status.  If the payment is not complete, you may attempt paying online again.

Students with post-graduate degrees, who do not have a fellowship but have qualified JGEEBILS examination conducted by NCBS/TIFR held on 08th December 2019 are eligible to apply. However, candidates those are shortlisted by NCCS criteria will only be called for interview.
A limited number of fellowships will be provided by NCCS to the selected students, who do not have fellowship (from CSIR/DBT/ICMR/UGC/DST-Inspire/BINC) but have qualified JGEEBILS and are selected by NCCS. Submission of application to the NCCS-PhD programme does not automatically guarantee that a candidate will be shortlisted for an interview.
Shortlisted candidates fulfilling NCCS criteria will have to appear for an online interview to be held at NCCS on 27th, 28th & 29th January 2021. Detailed eligibility conditions are given hereunder.
ELIGIBILITY FOR NCCS Ph.D. PROGRAMME:
Should have Masters (postgraduate) degree in any branch of Sciences with interest in pursuing research in Modern Biology, having at least 55% or equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA) (A relaxation of 5% of marks, shall be allowed for SC/ST/OBC and Persons With Disabilities) and with a valid fellowship from CSIR/UGC/ DBT/ICMR/ BINC, etc. OR DST-Inspire with NET-LS or GATE.
Students with post-graduate degrees, who do not have individual fellowship but have qualified JGEEBILS exam conducted by NCBS/TIFR on 08th December 2019 will be eligible to apply. Students will be shortlisted based on JGEEBILS results by NCCS criteria for interview. NCCS decision in this regard will be final. Please write your JGEEBILS December 2019 Reference Code on the top of the application form at the designated place.
How to Apply
1) Candidates who have qualified only for Lectureship in CSIR-UGC (NET) and the “Project List of ICMR” are not eligible.
2) NCCS’s Ph.D. program is a residential program. The selected candidates may have to stay on campus.
3) All the eligible complete applications received within the last date will be screened and shortlisted candidates will be called for interview as per the schedule given.
4) Other terms and conditions of the fellowship will be directed by the funding agency awarding the fellowship. The upper age limit for JRF shall be 28 years which is relaxed up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/Women/PWD and 3 years in case of OBC candidates, or as applicable.
5) Fellowship will be activated as per the respective funding agencies guidelines on Direct Benefit Transfer basis. NCCS will not be responsible for providing.
6) Reservation will be as per Government of India guidelines.
7) SC/ST/OBC candidates should also attach a true copy of the Caste Certificate / Latest non-creamy layer certificate along with the application and originals that should be produced at the time of the interview.
8) Kindly mention “Application for Ph.D. — March 2021 Session” in the subject of the e-mail.
9) The complete application form (download from NCCS website) along with the copies of the M.Sc. marks statement and Fellowship certificate/admit card should be sent by e-mail to [email protected] (One PDF file containing application in the prescribed format along with certificates) on or before 24.12.2020.

INTERVIEWS:
Online interviews will be held at NCCS, Pune of all shortlisted candidates as per the selection criteria set by NCCS. Details of the interview process will be published on the NCCS website along with the list of shortlisted candidates on 11th January. 2021.
