What an honor. I have been participating in the Naviar Records Haiku Music Challenge for some time now. A few weeks ago, I attended a haiku workshop with the community’s founder on Discord. I decided to take up a regular writing practice and then submitted a few of my poems for feedback. I am so delighted that one has been designated as the prompt for this week’s music challenge and beyond excited to listen to the submissions. My takeaways here: Try new things. Support one another. I promise I'm not dead it's just because of school

I also rebooted many of my old OCs and created a new one based off a song I've been listening to on repeat for several hours in end for many days

He is the captain of a flying ghost ship and brings back good memories that have flown away from the people they belong to back to them. His main job, though, is to bring back the memories of a dead soul to them.

His own memories are already with him, in a bottle that is tied around his hair with some string. It's unable to be opened until the time comes, when he's supposed to move on, like all other ghosts that have their memories in a bottle.

A somewhat sickly sort at seventeen

Who's using ink and a pen for a masterpiece

Stitch and sew it like a mother goose

And no matter how much I cry I'll see you again

Just an android wielding spinning strings

Who's got a head and a voice that're hollow both

Looks like I am just in the worst of moods

All for a wish you could grant by loving me again

Call out sick again at seventeen

I put today's cloudy day in a metal can

Detonator's in a paper bag

And like a fool in and out I sealed my breath away

And as always, to the android,

Who's using lies just to hide in a seed of truth

You can bet your ass that I'm a ghost

So suppose that that's true, I can't be seen by you

He is a trans boy and died at age seventeen, for more background information. I built upon a bit of his personality from this song, and he and I are both seventeen so he should be an easier muse, should I ever create a blog for him. If anyone shows interest, I might make it a thing, actually.
