Well my PC is busted so here is a dump of a bunch of old art, enjoy! The batman thing is an assignment from last semester where we had to design a character to add to the roster of a classic cartoon (I chose Super Friends) 2nd is some gay ass She-Ra art, naturtally. 3rd is a D&D OC, Black Dragonborn Oath of Glory Paladin. 4/5/6 are concept art for a graphic novel series I'm working on. 7/8/9 - Skulls for the Skull Thrones, Blood for the Blood God, and so on and so forth. Overheard in The Sunflower Room

“An almost 4-year old approaches a 5-year old who is trying to fix a break in the taped down line ...the older child is trying to get just the right length of tape off the roll when the 4 year old says, “I can help...shall I scissor that for you?”

2 children are at the microwave - 5 year olds who have just begun reading. One has his plate in the microwave and is casually trying to read the various settings as he waits. He sounds out, “P-I-Z-Z-A...pizza”. The other says, “NO...then it would be P-E-E-T-Z-U...this must be something else.” 

A visiting adult is greeted by a very articulate and confident just turned 5 year old who has a great sense of self esteem. “Hello,” she says, and  puts out her hand to shake hands with the adult. The adult bends forward and shakes her hand, “Hello. It’s very nice to meet you.” The child smiles widely back and says, “I know. I’m very nice.” 

A group of children are playing outside...3-4 girls are running with their arms outstretched and occasionally tightening their boot straps. When one of them flies close to me, I ask, “What game are you playing?” She says, “We are super girls and everytime we pull our boot straps we get sonic power.” "Wow,” I marvel. “What is sonic power?” Without missing a beat she replies, “It’s screaming power.”

A 6 year old listening to this exchange confides in me, “I have a real special power. Actually I have a real special skill and power.” “And what is that?” I ask him wide-eyed. “I have the skill to move like a blob because I have Jello Power.” I must have looked confused, because he clarified, “ That means I can move like a blob of jello that is not solid yet. That’s a special power.”

A just 3 year old was sharing his excitement about the start of December. He said to me,”That day, last day, it was going to snow but it did  not. But in December  my dad says it will snow.” His 6 year old brother was standing next to him and said, “That’s because last week there were only 30 chances for it to snow, but in December, there will be 70 or 80 or even 100 chances for it to snow.”

A 4-year old is grinding cloves and cinnamon using a mortar and pestle and every once in a while he would pause and smell the spices. Finally 5-6 minutes of this and he comes to me, “Ms Deepa, do you want to smell this?” I take a deep appreciative sniff at it and he then asks, “ How do they make it white?” “Make what white?” I ask. He points to the pretty finely ground brown spices. “Because this smells just  like my toothpaste but my toothpaste is white.”
