The Crested Pigeon! A commonly spotted native of Australia beloved for their silly dances and calming coos.
As with most common Australian Birds, there's a weird amount of people who mistake them for an invasive species.

they were so cute!
last night, i saw two grown possums and a baby one!
at least two potoroos!
perhaps a wallaby!
i've been thinking of naming the baby something, so if you have ideas, please comment or reblog! chances are that yours won't get used, but there is still a chance, and that baby is a wonder. :)

start things off over here with my most recent endeavours: getting back into acrylic painting for the first time in a decade
i'm considering trying to sell some paintings and these have been super handy practice with that in mind

Non-Australians are so easy to confuse all I have to do is show them a picture or video of my pet and they get so dumbfounded for some reason

Final trip Bird! Jessie the Wedge Tailed Eagle. After the free flight show I zoomed my way to the photograph area and the ladies doing it were extremely nice enough to let me in early to take some photos of Jesse. Jesse was brought into the Korrumbin wildlife hospital at a young age, and was deemed unreleasable due to his inability to fly. He is now an ambassador animal who poses very well! Even if he got a little distracted by a stinkbug on his post.

The real proof my anti-anxiety meds are working is that I have gone from “I could never go to Australia ever in my life” to “maybe one day I’ll visit”
