I believe Riko plays cards while Kevin plays chess. The King is worth more than the Queen but Riko forgets the Ace (Neil) holds even more power

Details I did:

- Riko’s hand under the table, holding Nathan to symbolize him cheating/waiting to use the Butcher

- First drawing: Riko holding his perfect court (A for Nathaniel, Q for Kevin, J for Jean) while grinning at the bloody 10 (Neil) because even if he’s about to win with a royal flush (Ace, King, Queen, Joker, 10) he’s willing to cheat (Nathan under the table) but Riko is unaware that a royal flush needs to be of the same suits so his is just a straight (which isn’t enough for Riko)

- Second: Riko holding his incomplete perfect court (Nathaniel, Riko, Jean) he stares at the two remaining members he needs for his wrongly assumed royal flush (Andrew and Kevin) Riko intends to cheat to have his way so Nathan is hidden under the table

- Riko’s assumption for a royal flush is because it’s the highest value in poker. But since all of the cards are different suits (representing their individuality from the Nest) he’s only got a straight

- Neil would also be a wild card because royal flushes only have as much value without wild cards in a game (something Riko does not prepare for)

by the time his mom ran off with him, he was probably already feeling uncomfortable as a "girl". he told his mother it would be easier to hide if she started dressing him and treating him like a boy, and she agreed. if Riko was able to find him from his fingerprints, then maybe there's a reason that nobody else thought to fingerprint him. they couldn't fingerprint the Butcher's son, because they were looking for the Butcher's daughter. this also explains how Kevin and Riko and Nathan and everyone was fooled by some box dye and colored contacts. that's not all that changed since that night. Neil obviously knows that he is truly a man, that it's not just another way to hide, that this is really who he is. and Andrew and Kevin know, too. this is who Neil is, runaway or not.

Imagine the streaming series true crime doc about the "Butcher of Baltimore". The Moriyamas are fine with it cause it mostly leaves them out of the story, the doc makes it sound like Nathan and his evil henchmen were independent criminals and not acting for the Moriyamas, and pins the majority of the crimes done by them on Nathan leaving out that he was often acting on their behalf. And paints the narrative they want. The only mention of the Moriyamas is that Tetsuji wanted Neil to join the Ravens when he was a kid because he saw potential in this talented child and if he had been able to he could have "protected this poor child from his monsterous father" (queue the Moriyamas positioning themselves as brave, kind and generous) but Neils mother ran off with him before the "kind and generous" offer could be finalized cause Neil and Mary had had enough of Nathans abuse (and not cause the Moriyamas were gonna buy Neil as property as well). The FBI are happy with the doc cause it's copaganda that makes them look great and competent, the good guys beating an uncomplicated villain (to be clear Nathan is an uncomplicated villain but the FBI are NOT the good guys), the Hardfords are totally absent from the series.

Neil Josten starts trending cause even non exy fans are FACINATED and the press is lapping it up.

It becomes one of the top streamed docs cause the details are so lurid and horrific and the fact that the son of the Butcher is on his way to being a sport celeb.

Neil was contacted by the true crimes doc but he refused to participate.

He hates the inaccurate way they portray his mom as someone who had no idea of the kind of monster she married until it was too late who was fleeing from her horrible husband who she had "loved" for her and her sons safety (ignoring that it was an arranged marriage between crime families and her hands are as bloody as any other gangster. It also ignores that she was abusive and imperfect too and makes her the perfect victim. The only accuracy was that she wanted Neil alive.

Coach Hernandez was contacted too but he refused to participate, though a bunch of other Millport teachers and former students/ teammates happily jump on board. Sadly some Palmetto staff and students do as well and other teams who've faced the Foxes do as well (not the Ravens [too risky] or the Trojans[to honorable])

The Foxes REFUSED to participate and they also REFUSED to watch this tripe and shut down anyone who tries to talk to them about it.

Also the only real accurate bit of the documentary is Neil's ordeal in Baltimore and its cause it's taken from his confession. Queue people gaping at Neil for the next few weeks knowing what the poor guy had to endure

Not everyone has a soulmate

To have one you need to fall into a very specific category of people

To put it simply “in order to have a soulmate you and your partner have to choose each other in every universe in existence”

This is a very rare occurrence

Like one in of every million people have a soulmate

You know you have one when you are born with a picture of something that holds meaning to you and you soulmate in every universe

There is only one way to make the marks disappear (when they do you are no longer soulmates in any universe)

“If romantic feelings are expressed and unreciprocated”

As long as there is a possibility for a relationship there is a bond

So all it takes is a no that is genuine for the bond to break

(So if affection is felt by one but never expressed then your still soulmates until the other party rejects you)

(If both parties hold romantic feelings for the other but are unable to be in a relationship then the bond is still there)

It’s basically a “yes, until it’s a no”

Nathaniel Wasinski was born with a soulmate to the delight of absolutely nobody. His father hated it for the soul reason of it being a potential joy for his son. He will go on to attempt to rid his son of the mark via a hot iron.

His mother hated it for being a distraction. Years after she would hate it for the fact that frankly, it’s too recognizable. Too distinct.

Abram likes it. In his eyes it’s something to latch onto. “In another universe maybe I’m not constantly in fear of the mob coming to kill me.” It’s hope but hope is not something he has room for so he doesn’t dwell on it.

Alex, Stephan, Chris nor any of his other identities have a soulmate. Abram’s soulmate is his and his alone. He only allows himself to acknowledge his mark in the dead of night locked in motel bathrooms. He traces the lines of the key, watching himself do so in the mirror. He doesn’t acknowledge the multitude of scars surrounding it. In those moments he lets his mind wander to all the possibilities. Who is his soulmate? Are they happy? Do they have a mom that rips their hair out too? Will they ever meet? If they do, could he even feel the types of feelings necessary for them to stay soulmates? Would his soulmate like him? He hopes so. It’s the only thing he lets himself hope for.

Andrew Doe was born with a soulmate, his twin brother was not. That distinction played a major part in Tildas decision. She knows the attention people like that bring. If she’s already going to have to deal with a snotty crying shit maker, she wants to do it in peace.

You’d think a child with a soulmate would be easily adopted. It is already rare for a child to be born with a soulmate let alone one that’s being put up for adoption. But Tilda’s track record for abandoning then subsequently coming back for said child put a bad taste in potential adopters mouths. So Andrew gets passed around from one hellhole to another, each with a new and exciting type of trauma for him to experience.

Andrew when he was young liked that he had a soulmate. He’d been abandoned so much but the idea of someone actually choosing him not just once but in every universe gave him hope.

All hope he had died when he was seven.

By the time Andrew Minyard is his legal name he no longer looks at his mark with any emotion at all. It was apart of him but he felt nothing for it. Or at least that’s what he tells himself.

He definitely doesn’t get an intense feeling of longing when he catches a glimpse of the key on his forearm. He definitely doesn’t ever think about his soulmate. who he is, what he’s doing, if they’ve met, how they could meet, what he look like. Is his life just as shitty as his own? No he definitely doesn’t think about that.

Except Andrew is only a liar when it matters and this doesn’t matter. So yes he thinks about his soulmate far more than he’d ever admit out loud ,But it’s not like it matters to him. His soulmate is a pipe dream, something to thinks about but never something he can have.

He’s too broken for his soulmate to choose him anyway.

This is a wip for the actor au but the version with Milo :)

In the Milo actor AU, Milo is Neil’s little brother. Milo is also seven (so three years older than his character) because his character has a higher intelligence, is supposed to be tall for his age, and it makes action scenes better

Nathan is not their dad! He is an actor who looks a bit like Neil and he’s just a silly guy who loves working with everyone (but scares the shits out of them when the cameras are rolling)

This ‘interview’ happens as they are filming the game before Baltimore so Neil is still half in costume and Nathan is supposed to get ready for his character

Also in this au, Milo has been in films since he was a baby and specifically loves doing them with Neil. He gets along with Andrew too and they are way more playful, Andrew is like a second brother to Milo

I wonder what happened to the Wesninski house in Baltimore. It was definitely roped off as a crime scene for a long time but eventually it had to go somewhere and Neil’s the only beneficiary it could really go to.

Do you think it enters his custody and there are plenty of people who want to buy it, either because it’s a nice house or because ‘it’s the BUTCHER’S house’ and they want to turn it into a tourist attraction. Neil’s getting bombarded with real estate, city planning, victims advocacy, etc.

Maybe it’s only Neil’s 3rd year that he gets possession of it and he’s already stressed because it’s his 1st year as a captain and he needs to show the Moriyamas and the professional teams that he is worth investing in.

Maybe Andrew sees all of this and reaches out. Maybe all of the OG Foxes brave Baltimore one more time and maybe they spend all of Spring Break destroying every single nice thing that house ever had. For the Foxes it’s just fun to break shit, for Neil it’s destroying and rejecting his father’s legacy, he’s desecrating his father’s grave, it’s the most cathartic thing he’s ever done in his entire life and that includes telling Riko off his freshman year. They shatter chandeliers, furniture, appliances (the gas is well and truly turned off), watches, jewelry, clothes, plates, glasses, and anything they can find and destroy.

Allison has a running tab on who has done the most in property damage. The one who wins is Matt because he brought his own sledgehammer to the party.

Maybe the Foxes help Neil destroy his father’s legacy but also...maybe Dan grabs pictures of Nathaniel smiling at the camera with a missing tooth.

Maybe Nicky finds a recipe book hand written from Nathaniel’s maternal grandmother hoping her grandson will like them and it is set aside to be saved.

Maybe Matt finds a hidden corner where Nathaniel had drawn on the wall in crayon and he cuts out that chunk of drywall.

Maybe Aaron finds some letters Mary wrote to Stuart about what a good boy Nathaniel is and he pockets them.

Maybe Renee finds a stuffed animal with a missing eye and carries it to safety.

Maybe Kevin finds a set of child Exy equipment that goes into the Maserati.

Maybe Allison finds children’s clothes that have been sewn back together because the person who wore them loved them so much so she puts them in her purse.

Maybe Andrew finds a tiny bloody hand print in the basement and Andrew’s hand eclipses the hand of the bleeding child who left it and Andrew doesn’t forget things but the thought is easier when Neil’s hands engulf his when they hold them later that night.

Maybe the Foxes go and save every piece of Nathaniel they can from that house. Nathan can rot there, Neil is having the house demolished in a week and then he’ll sell the land to the Baltimore parks department.

But maybe Nathaniel’s grave is somewhere else. Maybe they let him rest somewhere other than Baltimore. Maybe Neil can’t take anything they had saved from that house yet so Nathaniel’s memories rest with them until Neil can take it.
