Catching Feelings First (Haruka Nanase x female! Reader)
AN: I apologize if Haru seems a little ooc. He’s somewhat difficult to write for being he’s very blatant and straight to the point. He really only shows emotion when he’s arguing with Rin💀So it was kind of hard to make it seem believable. I know this one seems a little cringe but I’m not the greatest at confessions and do better at scenarios. Granted, this was really fun to write and I hope you enjoy! <3
~Haru and Y/n had been friends for as long as each of them could remember. Y/n was practically part of the gang in middle school! She got in through Makoto, an attractive young boy whom she had moved in next door to one winters day when Y/n was about 10. Y/n remembered it like it was yesterday..
“I heard there’s a young boy about your age that lives down the street Y/n. Why don’t you go make friends with him?”
Y/n’s mother said, shuffling through the moving boxes. Y/n just sighed, having no intention of becoming friends with someone her mother had picked out. Her mom gave her one of those looks that said “Just do this one thing”. So Y/n reluctantly pulled on her parka and boots and headed out the door. “Ah ah ah, where do you think you’re going young lady?” Y/n turned around confused, just to  see her mom put a orange knit cap on her head. “There. Now you won’t catch a cold in this weather.” Y/n’s mother said, giving Y/n a quick pat on the head. “Now go play, and have fun!” Her mom said, gently guiding her out the door. Y/n dragged her feet a little and began her journey down the street. It was cold, and the frosty chill bit at her rosy cheeks. After about 5 minutes of stumbling through the cold, Y/n realized she had no clue which house it was or where exactly to go. Frustrated,
Y/n squatted down on the empty sidewalk to collect her thoughts. Should she go back? Just as Y/n was about to call it quits and waddle back home, she heard a voice. “Hey, are you okay?” Y/n looked up to see a boy about her age. He had fuzzy brown hair and emerald green eyes. He too was bundled up for the winter season, his button nose red. “This must be the boy mom told me about!” Y/n thought, a rush of success and accomplishment surging through her. “Umm yeah, I’m okay!” Y/n laughed nervously. “You must be the daughter from the new family that just moved in!” The boy said, extending a hand out to Y/n. “Yeah. My mom actually sent me out to find you.” Y/n said, taking his hand and brushing herself off. “Well then this must be luck! I’m Makoto Tachibana.” The boy said with a smile, holding his hand out for Y/n to shake. “I’m Y/n L/n, nice to meet you!” The girl said, her face lighting up..
Throughout the next few weeks Makoto and Y/n grew to be friends. They would play outside in the snow, stay inside and watch movies, build pillow forts, and play all kinds of games. That was until school started back up after winter break..
Y/n would have to go to a new school with Makoto being the only person she knew, and she knew she wasn’t Makoto’s only friend because he had mentioned others before. That’s how she met Haru on her very first day of school at Iwatobi.
“Y/n! You ready for school? Makoto will be here soon to walk with you!” Y/n’s mom yelled up the stairs to her daughter. “Coming!” Y/n shouted back, grabbing her backpack and running down the stairs. “Be careful!” Her mother scolded. “Mhm, yep!“ Y/n said, in such a rush to get her shoes on that she paid no mind to her mothers words. Y/n’s mom rolled her eyes and cracked a smile at how excited her daughter was for school. Just then a knock was heard on the door. Y/n’s mother opened the door to see a smiling Makoto. “Oh hi Makoto, Y/n is-“ Y/n’s mother was cut off by Y/n saying “Okay I’m ready, let’s go Mako!” She said, grabbing her friend by the hand and pulling him out the door. “Bye Mrs L/n!” Makoto shouted over his shoulder as you dragged him along.
“Y/n you realize you don’t even know the path to school right? You don’t even know where to go!” Makoto laughed, stopping Y/n in her little parade down the sidewalk. “Oh right.. Oops” Y/n said, shrugging her shoulders and moving on. “C’mon I wanna meet all your friends!” Y/n prodded, moving Makoto along. “Y/n!” Makoto laughed, “Just follow me.”
After a few more minutes of walking and Y/n practically bubbling over with energy, the two had finally reached the school. “Look there’s Haru!” Makoto exclaimed, running over to a small boy standing by himself. Y/n eagerly trailed along, excited to meet a new friend. “This is Haru. Haru this is Y/n, my new neighbor I told you about.” Makoto introduced. Y/n didn’t know why but she felt her cheeks grow warm at this. She extended her hand out to the small boy across from her, a smile on her face. The boy just looked at her through his pitch black bangs and piercing blue eyes, his face not showing any emotion. He stiffly stuck out his hand and gently shook hers with a slight nod of the head. “Well he’s gonna be fun..” Y/n thought, rolling her eyes a little in her head. “C’mon guys let’s get going so we’re not late!” Makoto said, leading the way to class.
The morning passed by in a flurry of excitement. Y/n enjoyed her classes and made a few friends along the way. Soon lunch rolled around and Y/n and Haru ended up beating Makoto to the table so it was just the two of them. “Sooo what’s in your lunch?” Y/n asked, sliding up beside Haru. “Mackerel. You?” The boy replied, unloading his bento. “Oh um..” Y/n dug around in her book bag, scrounging around for her lunch sack. “What is it?” Haru asked, peering down at the girl. “I uhh can’t find my lunch.” ” Y/n giggled nervously, scratching the back of her head in embarrassment. “Oh.” Haru said, nodding his head a little. After a moment upon sitting there in silence he says “You can have a piece of my mackerel.” Y/n could feel her stomach growling but didn’t want to deprive Haru of his lunch. “Oh thanks but I’m good.” She said. Haru just stared at her for a moment, clearly catching on to her bullshit. “Fine.” Y/n gave in. Haru took his napkin and placed a bit of Mackerel on it and slid it over to the girl. “Thanks Haru.” Y/n said, giving him a small smile. Haru nodded in response. Just then Makoto came over carrying his lunch tray. “Hey guys! Sorry I’m late the lunch line was-“ He broke off. “Wow Haru sharing his mackerel! That’s a first. You must really be special!” Makoto teased, taking a seat across from you and Haru. “Shut up..” Haru mumbled, rolling his eyes at his friend.
The 3 friend’s relationship only grew stronger from that day on. Haru was now included in Makoto and Y/n’s antics. The 3 were inseparable and always did things together.. That was until sophomore year of high school..
Oh don’t get me wrong, the gang was still all friends. But things were different now. There group was expanded to include Nagisa, and Rei, along as drama with their old friend Rin Matsuoka. On top of that each person was being faced with the inevitable doom of deciding what path they wanted to take in life for their careers. A lot of unmentioned stress was brewing in the group. But that wasn’t the only thing brewing.. Over the past few years Y/n had become best friends with Haru and Makoto, but something seemed different when she was around Haru. She felt something. Something she didn’t feel with Makoto… But Y/n wasn’t sure what it was she truly felt and how it would effect their friendship.
“And that’s how I met Haru! I still can’t believe you still eat mackerel to this day, not gonna lie to you Haru it’s pretty gross.”
Y/n teased, giggling at Haru’s annoyed expression. The gang was at lunch one day and Nagisa had asked how exactly
Y/n had met Haru. “Wow! So Haru can actually share his mackerel!” Nagisa laughed, causing Haru to look even more irritated. “Well it was that or she starved!” Haru said, frustratedly. Breaking his silence from the past conversation. “And I’m still thankful for it.” Y/n reassured, giving Haru a quick pat on the shoulder. Haru just rolled his eyes, used to your antics by now. Rei cleared his throat awkwardly “Well-“ He began before quickly being cut off by the lunch bell. “Of course..” He muttered beneath his breath, not to pleased to be cut off. Everyone started to pack their lunches back up and head on their different ways to their next class. “Y/n, wait up!” Makoto called, jogging over to Y/n. “You still coming over tonight? Sorry Ren and Ran keep wanting me to make sure you’re coming over” Makoto laughed, sheepishly. “You bet I am! Your mom makes the best home cooked meals around.” You said, a smile across your face. “Great. See you at 5”Makoto said, giving you a smile and a small wave before heading off to his own classes. Y/n had gotten to know Ren and Ran throughout the years. She could still remember when they were brought home from the hospital. Her and Makoto just wouldn’t put them down. Always wanting to coddle them, play with them, feed them, and read them stories. The twins had grown up viewing Y/n as a sibling of their own.
LATER THAT NIGHT AT MAKOTO’S HOUSE-
“Ha! Beat you again! Read the score and weep, Mako!” Y/n boasted, tossing your controller in victory. “It’s not my fault you’re this good at Mario Kart.” Makoto pouted. She always found a way to beat Makoto in whatever game they played, it had been like that since they were kids. “Mhm, bitches gonna bitch..” Y/n shrugged, still reveling in her victory. “I hate you sometimes..” Makoto chuckled, leaning back on the couch. Just then Ren and Ran walked into the living room. “Hey! Don’t say those things about
Y/n!” Ran yelled, running up to Y/n’s lap on the couch. “Yeah! Makoto don’t be mean!” Ren pouted, going up to Makoto. Makoto couldn’t help but chuckle. “Makoto didn’t mean it guys. He was just messing around.” Y/n explained, giving each twin a smile and a headpat. Then upon remembering that they were both still impressionable young kids she added “But it still isn’t a nice thing to say, regardless.” Y/n said, giving Makoto a playful glare. “Sorry Y/n.” Makoto apologized, trying to hide his grin. “Now why don’t you guys go help mom with dinner.” Makoto said, gently moving the twins out of the room despite their protests. “They’re so cute!” Y/n laughed, shaking her head at the twins antics. “They’re a handful.” Makoto replied, sitting back down on the couch. “Wanna go another round?” Y/n asked, giving Makoto a sly look that said “I’m totally gonna beat your ass again”. Makoto laughed “Nah I’m done getting beat today. I think you could even give Haru a run for his money on Mario Kart.” Y/n wasn’t shocked in the slightest that Haru was pretty good at the game. “Im not surprised. Just the way he gets into everything he does. The way his ocean eyes focus and show such passion and how its always all or nothing with him. Like c’mon, you’ve seen the way he swims and how passionate he is.” Y/n rambled. That feeling of desire and excitement that she felt when talking about Haru came back, and she was helpless to stop it. There was just something about him..
“Heh. You sure do talk about him a lot.” Makoto grinned, giving Y/n the look. “What? No, not like that!” Y/n scrambled for words. “I mean I don’t know..” She slowed. “Every time I think about him I get these feelings. But me and Haru have been friends for so long.. I don’t want it to be weird.. And yeah I like him, but it’s Haru. He dosent do romance..” Y/n trailed off, a look of defeat in her eyes.
Now finished with her spiel Y/n took a deep breath and grabbed her gaming controller, ready to move past the subject. “He likes you, y’know.” Makoto said, breaking the silence softly.
3 DAYS EARLIER AT MAKOTO’S HOUSE-
“Ugh!” Haru exclaimed, throwing his control down in frustration. “Woah, what’s up?” Makoto asked, raising his eyebrows at Haru’s outburst. “It’s nothing.” Haru said rather coldly. “It’s obviously not nothing. Tell me.” Makoto said, pausing the boy’s game. Haru sighed, slightly annoyed yet relieved at the same time. “I just don’t understand it.” Haru said. “Understand what..?” Makoto asked, even more confused. “It’s Y/n. Whenever I’m around her I just.. feel different.. It’s like she’s fucking with my head. I get this weird feeling in my chest and it distracts me from swimming.” Haru ranted, the frustration in his voice growing. “Well you know what I think?” Makoto said after a moment. “What?” Haru said, rather flatly. “I think you have a crush on Y/n-“ Makoto said, gently elbowing Haru with a grin on his face. “What?! That’s preposterous! We’re just friends and I have more important things to focus on then silly crushes.” Haru fumed, however the tips of his ears turning red with blush. “C’mon let’s go another round.” Haru muttered, resuming the game and ending the conversation.Makoto knew that Haru was denying his feelings because that’s just how Haru works, but he knew his friend, and he knew when he was smitten. It was the way he always would stare at Y/n when she spoke, the look of passion and sparkle in his eyes. Or the way he seemed to have a soft spot only for her, or how she could always push him to do a fun activity that the gang couldn’t. Makoyo knew better to pry however, so he dropped the subject and continued on with the video game.
“He what..? You’re just saying that to make me feel better.” She scoffed nervously, wondering what gamer her friend could be playing at. “No I’m not. He came over a few days ago and stuff happened. Look it’s not my place to say, he’ll tell you when he’s ready. But trust me, I know Haru, and I know he likes you. Even Nagisa keeps asking me if you and him are secretly an item.” Makoto chuckled, giving Y/n a pat on the back. “Thanks Mako. Um I’m not sure what else to say?” Y/n giggled, giddy with this newfound discovery. “How about I beat your ass again at Mario Kart?” She suggested, wiggling her eyebrows at Makoto. “Fineeee.. You’re on!” He laughed, loading up a new round.
The next few days at school were rather awkward for Y/n and Haru. Each lost in their own thoughts, yet internally focused on one another. Haru was having trouble coming to terms with his newfound feelings, whereas Y/n wasn’t sure how to act around Haru from learning new information from Makoto. At lunch the two would just engage in conversations with their other friends, yet ignore one another even though they were seated elbow to elbow. And every time they did make eye contact, one would always look away before the other. Each teen sporting matching flushed cheeks.
Makoto caught on to the tension between the two and came up with a plan. Now Makoto wasn’t a master in the art of deceiving, so he came up with a simple plan that would result in minimal damage. He planned on inviting Haru and Y/n to the pool Tuesday night, but having something “come up” so he couldn’t attend, thus leaving the two alone together. It was you’re basic and cliche matchmaker plot but hey, work smarter not harder. Makoto shared his plan with both Rei and Nagisa who eagerly agreed to help in anyway they could.
The next day Makoto set his plan in motion. He texted the group chat that consisted of himself, Y/n, and Haru and made plans for them all to meet up at the pool later that afternoon. Thankfully, both Haru and Y/n were free and could attend.
LATER THAT AFTERNOON-
Y/n sat on the bench outside the swimming area, her phone in hand, wondering when on Earth Makoto would show up. She wasn’t surprised Haru was late though, but Makoto? Never. Just then Y/n looked up at the echo of footsteps. Somehow even Haru had beat Makoto! “Hey Haru, do you know if Mako is coming?” Y/n asked, walking over to greet Haru. “No. I expected him to be here already.” Haru stated simply, placing his swim bag on the floor. Y/n couldn’t help but sneak a glance at Haru’s broad chest and abs from all his hard work at swimming. “Y/n?” Haru asked, Y/n snapped out of her trance and looked up at Haru, she clearly missed what he was saying. “Um sorry, what?” Y/n blurted, scrambling to advert her gaze. “Your phone went off.” Haru said, completely missing what just happened. “Oh!” Y/n said, she peered at her phone. It was a message from Makoto saying how he couldn’t make it because his mom was going to be home late from work and he had to watch Ran And Rem. Y/n was no Sherlock Holmes,  but she knew Makoto was up to something. “It’s uh Makoto. He said he can’t make it tonight, he’s gotta watch the twins.” Y/n said, relating the message to Haru. Haru nodded and turned back to the pool. With a spring of the diving board he dove into the pool. When Haru emerged from the water he noticed Y/n wasn’t swimming but was instead sitting on the edge of the pool with her toes in the water. “Aren’t you coming in?” Haru asked, his voice carrying through the pool room. “I’m tired so I think I’m just gonna sit here for a bit.” Y/n said, giving Haru a smile. Haru nodded and dove back under the waters surface.
Time had passed by and Y/n still sat there, pondering what to do next. It was obvious Makoto had arranged this whole ordeal to get her and Haru to confess to one another, but the question was: Could she really go through with it? After all, what if it ruined their friendship? Y/n jumped slightly as Haru popped up in the water beside her. She watched as he hauled himself onto the floor beside her. “Enjoy your swim, fishtail?” She teased, flicking a stray strand of hair out of his eyes. Haru gently batted her hand away, adverting his gaze so the small blush on his face wouldn’t be noticed. Y/n realized that it was now or never. She couldn’t just deny her feelings for Haru anymore. She thought for a moment before speaking. “Hey Haru..?” Y/n asked softly. “Yeah?” Haru asked, tuning to look at Y/n. “Um I’ve been thinking lately about something Makoto said to me..” Y/n said, starting to lose her confidence. “Makoto?” Haru questioned, a note of hostility in his voice. He was then reminded with the memory of a few days ago when Makoto mentioned something about his newfound feelings for Y/n. He was pulled out of his thoughts just as Y/n said “..I like you Haru. And I know it sounds cliche but-“ Y/n was cut off as Haru stood up and started to leave. “Haru what the fuck?!” Y/n shouted, confused why Haru would respond like this. “I know Makoto put you up to this!” Haru yelled back. Y/n ran up to catch up with Haru before he reached the buildings doors. “Wait, what about Makoto?” She said, trying to reach Haru. Haru suddenly turned on his heel and faced Y/n. “I don’t need you following me right now, so just leave me alone!” He shouted, a flare in his aqua eyes. Y/n froze. She never had Haru speak to her like that. I mean sure, she knew Haru was prone to outbursts of emotion but she never had him approach her in that way. She did nothing but watched as Haru stormed out, leaving her and her confession behind..
AT MAKOTO’S HOUSE LATER THAT SAME NIGHT-
Makoto jolted as the door to his room slammed open. “Why would you tell her!?” Haru shouted, taking this fight over to Makoto. “What..?” Makoto said, slightly confused on why his best friend just busted into his room yelling accusations. Then he realized, clearly his plan didn’t go well.. according to plan. “I dont need you butting into my buisness!” Haru said, frustrated. “Haru, stop yelling and let me explain.” Makoto said, shutting his bedroom door so that way his siblings wouldn’t wake up. Haru huffed, but knew he was being a little irrational. Makoto sat back down on the bed and began to explain. “I only said that you liked Y/n because Y/n likes you! That’s why I said anything! Because I know that neither of you would ever confess your feeling without a little push, because that’s just how you two are. I was honestly just trying to help Haru.” Makoto said, looking over at Haru to see his reaction. “How would you know she likes me?” Haru asked, the icy demeanor in his eyes not matching his bored tone. “She talks about you.” Makoto chuckled upon recalling Y/n’s love struck puppy dog ramble. Haru just kind of froze for a moment. The reality of the situation crashing down on him. The girl he liked finally confessed to him, and what does he do? Get mad and goes around blaming everyone! He let out a frustrated groan. “I take it things didn’t go to hot..?” Makoto asked, scratching his head. “I totally fucked things up and got upset with her.” Haru grumbled, upset by his previous actions. “I’m sorry Haru..” Makoto said, hanging his head bashfully. “Don’t. It’s my mess, I have to fix it.” Haru said, grabbing his bag and leaving. “See you tomorrow at practice?” Haru asked, still facing the door and away from Makoto. “You bet.” Makoto said, a grin on his face.
Y/n sat in her room on her bed, in a pair of pajama shorts and a tank top, reveling in her sadness. She had just confessed to her crush and it had definitely taken the worst turn possible. If that’s not depressing I don’t know what is. But it wasn’t the fact that Haru reacted poorly that distracted her, it was how things would be after this. Clearly this would just cause an even bigger riff between her and Haru. She was jostled out of her thoughts when she heard the doorbell downstairs ring. Her mother was out of town for a few days, leaving Y/n the only one home to answer the door. She sighed and threw off her blanket, making her way down the stairs to the front door. It was oddly late for a visitor. To Y/n’s surprise on the other side of the door was Haru. “Haru what are you doing it’s late?” Y/n asked, letting him in. “I need to talk to you about earlier.” Haru said, getting straight to the point like always. “Look it’s fine if you don’t feel the same-“ Y/n began, nervously laughing. Haru cut her off swiftly “Y/n I like you. I have liked you. I just didn’t know how to deal with these feelings. And to be honest, it didn’t even cross my mind until Makoto told me.. I’m not good at talking and I don’t know if I’ll be any good at a relationship but-“ Now it was Haru’s turn to be cut off as Y/n crashed her lips onto his. As if realizing maybe she moved to soon she broke away blushing. Only for Haru to pull her back in without hesitation. She felt him slowly pull her closer to him by her waist, her hands intertwined in his raven locks. They slowly made their way to the couch, their lips still dancing. Haru gently sat Y/n back on the couch, hovering above her. “Will you be my girlfriend?” He asked breathlessly. Y/b giggled and nodded her head, pulling Haru onto the couch beside her and wrapping her arms around him in an embrace. “You know Nagisa is never going to let us hear the end of it.” Y/n said, breaking the peaceful silence. Haru just gave a small chuckle and planted a soft kiss on her cheek.

the rankings and what it means for the next match simply because pxg is set up as the most blue lock of all blue lock games and many charas who are at the bottom of the 23 list (or nanase at 24) will be playing in pxg including many isagi gang members— ‘individual survival’ the original driving force of blue lock may be brought back for the final game after almost two matches of utter irrelevancy
in any case at least 3(~4?) people playing in pxg-basmün match will get cut, while hiori-raichi (the two who performed for isagi in ubers, having picked him as king?) are in the most danger
the only player towards the bottom who won’t get a chance to increase their chances is fukaku, and it feels like a quiet taunt that he’s within the bid range of isagi’s biggest supporters— it quietly draws attention to fukaku without drawing attention to him. blue lock hasn’t forgotten about fukaku, and we shouldn’t either (fukakuwatch continues)

The 2 in 1 Eagle Pair
Trigger: Computer systems across Sorafune are infected by viruses, courtesy of Powered Dada. Like wow, that's a deep cut. Haruki and Kengo talk more as Akito uses the rescued Medals to create Z Hyper Keys of his other forms. With the virus cutting off computer systems at other TPU branches, GUTS-Select goes on high alert. An attempt to use old equipment allows them to pick up automated HQ broadcasts authorising autonomous operations. The Nursedessei has it's systems compromised. It's all hands on deck switching to manual, but Dada is managing to auto fire the Nurse Cannon and Nanase has to run a counter virus program, even Ignis is helping, as Kengo and Haruki manage to disconnect the Nurse Cannon's power right before a second shot fires. Dada instead takes control of King Joe to target Nursedessei, forcing Trigger Multi-type and Z Alpha Edge to fight it, after it uses all its forms they switch to using Power-type and Beta Smash. As Nanase gets control of the system back Dada avatars start appearing to attack the crew, when one attacks Akito, Yuzare takes over and destroys it, but then Yuna collapses. Dada appears to fight with King Joe, and Multi-type and Gamma Future hold it off until it tries fusing with King Joe, getting destroyed last second by Nurse Cannon. They switch to Sky-type and Delta Rise Claw, destroying King Joe but Haruki promising they'll repair him. Later Kengo thanks Haruki for his help, again stating how he's come to recognise Akito's help even if the man himself denies it. Akito gives permission to keep the Sparklencs, and so with Beliarok opening a dimensional tunnel, Z places King Joe's parts in a Travel Sphere and flies off, Akito agrees to grab ramen with Kengo. Akito returns to the lab to find Yuna, who can just remember Yuzare's action this time, and begs Akito to explain.
Galaxy Rescue Force: Sora is surprised by the appearance of Justice, bringing a message from Delacion to Queen Izana, who is unfortunately back on Kanon at the moment. Justice opts to wait, leaving Sora feeling awkward until Ribut arrives, impressed to hear Justice is associated with the Universal Justice. When Ribut thanks Justice for their help with Leugocyte Justice explains that Delacions wants to cooperate with the Land of Light and Galaxy Rescue Force in opposing Tartarus. They continue waiting, Ribut also feeling awkward, eventually running away to patrol, Justice eventually deciding to return the next day.
Revice: Wakabayashi demotes Kadota after both failing to defend the ViStamp lab and his failure with the Revice system, and requests Daiji persuade Ikki to fight for them. A caddie, Ibata, is fired by his boss, Araki, who has become irritated after his recent performance, Olteca appears to offer Ibata a ViStamp. Ibata summons tge Kamakiri Deadman. Ikkirefuses the contract, but when news of the Deadman attack appears still takes the belt, accidentally discovering Vice can possess his bike if it's stamped. They arrive and fight, until Vice tries to go eating again, Daiji passes Ikki the Eagle ViStamp, which turns them into the W themed Eagle Genome. Revi starts attacking Vice, who accidentally triggers their combined Eagle form to finish the Deadman, Vice then targets Araki until the transformation is cancelled. Ikki's family encourage him to help Fenix. Araki approaches the Deadmans, and the next day, when Ibara approaches to apologise, summons the Megalodon Deadman. When Vice mentions he told Araki unleashing your Akuma feels good Ikki transforms again to fight him until Daiji arrives to inform him of the Deadman, at which point he gives up the gear. Ikki and Daiji arrive at the golf course, where Fenix are already battling Giff Junior's, Ikki rushing in. He refuses tonuse the belt, since Vice will attack people again, but keeps fighting, until Vice swears to not attack humans anymore, making a contract to do as Ikki says, and Ikki now transforms again. Vice becomes envious of Ikki's Sealing Buster and borrows Daiji's Gunderphone. Ibata grabs Araki when he tries to power up his Deadman, wanting to put things right, and they combine into Rex form to finish the Deadman. Araki and Ibata make up,
Zenkaiger: No one has had any luck finding Mitsuko. Gaon offhandedly suggests she's escaped to some other world, and when Zox comes wanting an explanation for what happened in the last fight, Kaito asks for his help. Ijirude has no idea how Mitsuko escaped, Stacey confirming he'd put her in storage, and the Parallel World Gate was disrupted as she escaped thanks to Kudakk attack, so they don't know where she went, Stacey isn't sure this should have taken him away from the battle. Kaito, Zyuran and Magine join tge World Purates in travelling, with 20 or so worlds they can try, while Magine tries to divine where she is, Flint takes them to Kashiwa Mochitopia, where they meet the local version of Su-san, not having Kashiwa Mochi on your head there is comparable to public indecency. They try Retrotopia, where Su-san can't comprehend the Kikainoids. Kouritopia's Su-san has far less trouble with them, but hasn't seen Mitsuko, but Kaito is happy to see the freed worlds are at peace. Stacey and the Kudakks arrive, revealing Kudaiters gave been sent to other worlds for Mitsuko, as Gaon and Vroon, looking on earth, find. Kaito wants to split up to protect worlds, but Zox says they have to prioritise Mitsuko since the Tojitendo will just rampage until they find her. Su-san on Kinokotopia tries to have them stop attacking the mushrooms, as the Zenkaigers fight Flint declares she found Mitsuko, and Ijirude calls all forces there. When there the team shows they have Mitsuko, and fight. As things progress Stacey captures Mitsuko, but Kaito gets her back. Super Zenkaiser and Super Twokaiser destroy tge enemy forces, then they escape on CrocoDaiOh, Stacey essentially let's them go for Yatsude's sake, but is ordered by Ijirude to summon Black ZyuraGaon, which drags them back to Kouritopia, Zenkaijuoh facing the mecha and defeating it. They return home, and only now have Magine remove her disguise as Magine, since the Tojirendo won't go through other worlds if they think Mitsuko is home, just continue focusing on earth.
Yodonna 2: We start right where we left off, Mizuki distraught over the detective's betrayal, which Yodonna is able to understand due to her own betrayal by Yodon. The realisation that she has experienced sadness causes Yodonna to freeze. In Yodon hell, Hörn and Mose are in a meltdown over Yodonna's escape, Mose impulsively sends himself to earth after her. Yanako visits the Kuchinawa leader, whose eating whil watching his men give Shousuke a beating, Yanako wants to kill Mizuki. Mizuki retrieves the phone while bemoaning Yodonna's current state, but resolves not to burden Juru with her problems. She also finds herself feeling sluggish, unknown to her being due to the soul transfer. Mizuki arrives at the warehouse, where Enoshima is waiting with gang members, claiming his becoming corrupt was only natural. The regular lead goon grabs the phone, while Mizuki talks about how much Shousuke believed in him. The phone wiped, Enoshima reveals Shousuke isn't there, and they can't have her going around with what she knows. Yodonna takes control right as the fight begins, she's now experiencing anger on Mizuki's behalf. She starts fighting the goons, the boss watching via camera surprised by her skill and saying as much to Yanako. When shooting starts she uses a guy as a shield, and uses his gun to kill the goons. After admonishing Mizuki to exercise properly, she beats down the lead goon again. Enoshima puts a gun to her head, she steals it and shoots him in the knee. Mizuki changes back, happy thanks to Yodonna's help, she's really struggling to stay standing now, and Yodonna realises why. Mose approaches her, kills Enoshima for interrupting, then isn't sure what to do with Yodonna given the soul transfer. He intends to cut the hose, but then Yodonna will, disappear and there'll still be trouble for him with Hörn, better to let her steal Mizuki's life and then take her back. The revelation of what Yodonna was doing leads Mizuki to hate her too. At this point Yanako arrives and knocks Mizuki out. Mizuki wakes in the Kuchinawa offices, where Mose is waiting alongside Yanako and the leader, Kujirasaki. Mose has told them everything, and they seem content to wait out her death and let him have Yodonna after. Kujirasaki finds the whole situation amusing, and has Shousuke brought out so he can watch his sister die. As the process nears completion, Yodonna becomes visible and Mizuki starts fading. Yodonna explains the emotions she has learnt from Mizuki, and that she's realised she's just done to Mizuki what Yodon did to her. And so she pulls the tube out and destroys it. She's going to use the physical form she has until she fades to save Mizuki and Shousuke. She beats Yanako quickly. Goons drag Shousuke away, Mose in a panic uses Yodonna's whip to power up Kujirasaki. And then just goes back to Yodon Hell. Yodonna fights Kujirasaki, telling Mizuki to get Shousuke. As Yodonna and Kujirasaki are fairly evenly matched, Mizuki manages to disrupt the goons enough to free Shousuke. As Kujirasaki prepares an energy blast, Yodonna, knowing she's dead either way, swears to keep Misaki alive, and turns her whip into a scythe to block the blast. A final struggle fells Kujirasaki, and Shousuke declares him under arrest. Yodonna is glad to have won in time and collapses. Seeing Mizuki is alive she finds she's crying, Mizuki explaining she's feeling joy, right before Yodonna starts vanishing. Mizuki forgives her, and Yodonna fades gladly. Juru and Tametomo are still waiting for Mizuki, who finally gets back after Juru reminds Tame of his brief crush on Yodonna. Yodonna awakens back in Yodon hell, Hörn telling her that is she'd let him finish he was going to explain that if she could understand the 4 basic emotions he'd let her revive. He's already punishing Mose for running off after her. After reminiscing she asks if she can revive, but after her running off he's not going to allow it anymore. Unless she learns one more emotion, Love. She wonders who might teach her that...Tametomo perhaps?

Momo Holiday Collection Rabbit TV Part 3: A Lively Christmas Party
Part 1 | Part 2
Rinto Okazaki: Good work, you two. G-RiT sent us a thank you message because your project has been so popular!
Yuki: The Christmas coffret? I see the posters for it everywhere I go.
Momo: In fact, we saw them on our way here!
Yuki: Did we? I guess we did.
Rinto Okazaki: I've run into them enough times to be unsure of where I saw them, myself.
Rinto Okazaki: But thanks to Momo-kun's request during your interview, many people have been posting pictures of them online! It's introducing more people to the coffrets!
Momo: Well, well... Let me check!
Momo: Oh, this person's holding my card while taking a picture with Yuki's poster!
Yuki: And this person posted a picture of themselves using Re:vale's manicure set.
Momo: There's also a bunch of people   talking about how happy they were to receive them as presents!
Rinto Okazaki: Social media is great for witnessing live reactions.
Rinto Okazaki: You should start getting ready to leave. We're almost running late to the party at Takanashi Productions.
Momo: Oops! We gotta get going!
Yuki: I'll have to get the appetizers I made...
Momo: You were preparing those all morning. I can't wait to try them.
Yuki: Yeah. It wasn't easy to make them for so many people.
Rinto Okazaki: We'll stop by at Yuki-kun's to get the food. I have plenty of big cooler boxes ready, so worry not!
Momo: Okarin, you're such a hunk..! No wonder you're our manager!
Rinto Okazaki: ...I had a hunch that you hadn't thought much about how to transport them. Well then, let's go!
- - - -
Momo: Maneko-chan! Thanks for letting us borrow your agency's training room! It wasn't too hard to adjust all those schedules, was it!?
Tsumugi Takanashi: Not at all! Thank you for taking the time to organize this party amidst all your work!
Yuki: We were excited to see all your faces again.
Riku Nanase: We worked hard on these decorations! Even the tree looks great!
Mitsuki Izumi: I put all my effort into the food, too! Eat as much as you'd like!
Sogo Osaka: I helped, as well. Let's place the things Tsunashi-san and Yuki-san made over here.
Tamaki Yotsuba: So-chan... The stuff in that pot looks really red...
Nagi Rokuya: OH! Look, Iori. There is a drawing of Kinako on that cake. It appears to be a character cake!
Iori Izumi: How cu... Ahem. How well-crafted. As expected of Nii-san.
Tenn Kujo: The cake looks delicious. It almost feels like a pity to have to eat something that looks so good.
Yamato Nikaido: Cleaning the training room was harder than I thought... I need a drink...
Ryunosuke Tsunashi: Thank you, Yamato-kun! You did a great job here. Let's all drink together!
Yamato Nikaido: Yeah! Oh, is this the champagne Yaotome picked out? Let's have a round of this.
Gaku Yaotome: We've got the alcohol free version for minors. Over here, Tenn.
Momo: Does everyone have their drinks? Let's make a Christmas toast!
Momo: The one making it... Will be IDOLiSH7's center and a representative of this venue, Riku Nanase!
Riku Nanase: Me!? Um... Great work preparing this party, everyone!
Riku Nanase: Let's reward all our hard work this year by having lots of fun tonight!
Riku Nanase: Cheers! Merry Christmas!
Everyone: Merry Christmas!
- - - -
Riku Nanase: What's up with Momo-san? He's making me wait out here when the party's still going on...
Mitsuki Izumi: Hey, Riku. Momo-san told me to come to you for some reason...
Riku Nanase: He made you come out here, too? He just told me to stand here!
Tenn Kujo: Me, too. What is this group supposed to be?
Gaku Yaotome: Me too. ...I have no idea what's going on.
Momo: Oh! You're all here!
Momo: Santa Momo's gonna give you all presents for being so good!
Riku Nanase: Presents? Oh, I see, the thing we all have in common is that we're good!
Tenn Kujo: You really think so?
Gaku Yaotome: What are you looking at me for? I'm good.
Riku Nanase: Tenn-nii, I was good for the whole year!
Mitsuki Izumi: Momo-san, what're we here for?
Momo: Ta-dah! This!
Riku Nanase: These are... Santa costumes?
Momo: Yep! I thought our Christmas party could use a Santa~!
Gaku Yaotome: So you gathered people who would dress up as Santa.
Momo: I've got enough for all of you, but I thought I'd start with a little surprise featuring you guys!
Riku Nanase: Wow..! I never really got to do this kind of stuff, so I've always wanted to try it!
Mitsuki Izumi: I'm pretty used to this stuff, myself.
Tenn Kujo: What a coincidence. So am I.
Momo: You guys really are older brothers, huh!? I've done stuff like this for school and clubs. What about you, Gaku?
Gaku Yaotome: I haven't really done it with the hat, the beard, and everything...
Riku Nanase: I think they look good on you!
Riku Nanase: You look just like the soba deliveryman who came dressed up as Santa Claus the other day!
Momo: Wow! If he looks like Gaku, then he must be real handsome! I'd like to meet him, too~.
Mitsuki Izumi: Should we order soba right now? If we're lucky, we might see him.
Gaku Yaotome: I don't think we need to order food after all the work the guys put into their cooking.
Tenn Kujo: Right, and you'll get to eat soba on New Year's Day.
Riku Nanase: Feel free to come over for New Year's soba, too!
Momo: I'd love to, but isn't it kind of a bother that we're constantly barging in here?
Momo: Even this party was originally my idea, and we still ended up borrowing one of your rooms for it...
Mitsuki Izumi: It's cool! ...I don't exactly have the authority to say that, but our president's a pretty lenient guy, so I don't think you have to worry about it!
Momo: That's nice to hear~! I'll have to go thank your president later!
Gaku Yaotome: We should probably go see him later, too.
Momo: Let's all go, dressed up as Santa Claus!
Tenn Kujo: In these costumes?
Mitsuki Izumi: A gang of Santa Clauses surrounding our president is probably gonna look really weird.
Riku Nanase: That sounds fun! He'll be surprised, but I'm sure he'll be just as happy!
Gaku Yaotome: In that case, we might need more people.
Momo: True! Maybe we could all show up in Santa costumes, and sing him a Christmas song to show our gratitude!
Riku Nanase: Great idea! I wonder if people would do that for me if I became the president of something?
Mitsuki Izumi: Not often do you get to see our president surrounded by idols from three different agencies.
Momo: Let's go dress up the others right away! I'm gonna tell Yuki about this..!
Gaku Yaotome: ...Momo-san's an entertainer through and through.
Mitsuki Izumi: Yep, this is a present that'll make even the people around us happy.
Tenn Kujo: I think he's probably happy about this, himself.
Riku Nanase: Momo-san really is just like Santa Claus!
Mitsuki, Gaku, & Tenn: Yeah...
End of Part 3.

Winter Weebwatch #7
This has been a hell of a bad week, so I’m writing these up directly into tumblr all at once instead of writing them into gdocs in bits and pieces over the week. Seat-of-my-pantsing this whole thing. This is also partly why this one is so late -- that and the fact that I didn’t feel like watching In/Spectre for a while.
Also, Infinite Dendrogram didn’t air this week, presumably due to being pre-empted by something, so I’m guessing it’ll be back next week.
Darwin’s Game.
Tumblr media
★★☆☆☆
This is another … we could charitably call it a bridging episode, but mostly it’s just sort of a nothing episode.
The main change to the status quo we get is that the last team member from the OP, Sui/Sota, officially joins Kaname’s makeshift clan. Sui’s thing is that she has a split personality, with her other personality being her deceased brother, Sota, and the two have different Sigil powers: Sui can control water, and Sota can instantly turn water into ice.
This ... weirdly actually ties into the idea that Sigils might be based off historical figures. If Sota’s dead, he does kind of count as a recent historical figure after all. He’s not around anymore, at the very least.
Apart from that, the biggest thing we get is the Florist, a man whose powers revolve around plants, facing off against a gang member with pyrokinesis. The battle has only just started by the time the episode ends, but we all know the Florist is going to die anyway.
Pet.
Tumblr media
★★★☆☆
Having offered us a lick of hope in the form of Tsubasa seemingly realising how important Hiroki is to him, Pet proceeds to snatch that hope away by immediately showing Tsubasa return to manipulating Hiroki, and even deciding that Satoru will have to die so that he can’t inadvertently interfere with Tsubasa’s ambitions.
We find out that Tsubasa’s goals have shifted now: Since he is too sick to actually use his psychic powers effectively, he wants to use Hiroki to gain greater status within the organisation, setting Hiroki up as the only person who can act as a crusher or make ‘Babies,’ the mindless psychic children that other Company members use, and Tsubasa as the only person who can control him, thus making himself indispensable.
The main bulk of this episode revolves around a scheme by the Company to take revenge on a rival corporation that wronged them in the past (specifically, by killing the CEO’s father). Among other things, this storyline also gives us a closer glimpse at exactly what Babies can do (seemingly they act as a ‘bridge’ for non-psychics to meddle in other people’s heads), and a short glimpse at how they’re made, although the show’s unwillingness to explain anything makes it all very unclear.
ID: Invaded.
Tumblr media
★★★★★
ID: Invaded continues to knock it out of the park with another great episode. Picking up cognition particles from Momoki’s house and assuming them to be for Momoki’s Well, the team sends Sakaido and Ankaido in together, the first instance of sending two people into the same Well at once. This isn’t just a fact-finding mission, however, but a rescue mission: Hondomachi hasn’t woken up, and appears to still be in the Well-within-a-Well that was found in Narihisago’s/Sakaido’s Well, and the team believes that that same Well-within-a-Well can be accessed from within Momoki’s Well.
From there, the episode focuses on Sakaido and Ankaido’s interactions, with Sakaido being a visibly far more adept detective, while Ankaido acts as his Watson, albeit a visibly unhinged and somewhat unnerving one. We also find out more about Kiku, the person the Well-within-a-Well reportedly belongs to and the last intended victim of the Challenger, rescued by Momoki years ago. Specifically, we find out that she was linked to a kidnapping, and vanished without a trace shortly thereafter.
Sakaido and Ankaido do find the equipment for diving into a Well within Momoki’s Well, all set up for Kiku’s Well, as Sakaido prepares to enter with Ankaido on standby to eject him -- but in the real world, as Sakaido enters, Momoki realises it’s a trap of some kind, pleading for the detectives to stop him. Aaand that’s the cliffhanger the episode ends on.
In/Spectre.
Tumblr media
★☆☆☆☆
This is an episode in which not a lot happens, being more for exposition than anything else, and what does happen (or the relevant things we do find out) just don’t really land.
For instance, intermingled with all the learning about Kotoko’s plan (it’s basically what you’d expect), we do get to find out the truth of Nanase’s death, namely that it was … exactly what the police thought it was, an accident that she did nothing to defend herself from because she was also suicidal.
That’s kind of a boring waste of time, as far as reveals go. The reveal ‘everything is exactly what you were already told it was’ isn’t so much a reveal as it is wasted airtime, and it doesn’t help much with an episode that somewhat feels entirely like wasted airtime, like it could have been over and done with in five minutes instead of twenty.
Just not especially compelling viewing.
