Some Puerto Ricans are of African descent (thanks to interracial relationships with the slaves were left stranded ) but most of y’all are Indigenous natives or descendants of the Spanish colonizers.
So with that being said… everybody that live on the island is not part black, there’s a difference between Ethnicity & Nationality.
And let’s be real there’s A LOT of colorism and causal racism in the Hispanic community towards Black people. A lot of “I no black papi”. A lot of romanizing of the word Moreno/Morena (which literally means brown/dark skinned but not of the negro race).
If you don’t Proudly claim to be an
Afro Latino
Ladino
Bozales
Criollos
Negrito
(Whatever term you wanna use to describe a black hispanic person) all the time then No you don’t needa be sayin the N word.

TW: antiblackness, N-Word Pass:
“I have black friends/relatives/I have a black partner, so I can say the N Word”
“*insert white celebrity* is married to a black person, so they get the N-word pass.”
I despise these fucking takes and excuses. I despise this idea that it’s okay to disrespect a black person just because you have a relationship with them. One would think that, if you have a relationship with someone, if you care about them, you’d never want to disrespect them. You wouldn’t want to traumatize them, make them uncomfortable, etc because their happiness and comfort and contentment matters to you so much, and you’d do anything to make sure they always feel that way. That they matter to you.
If my non-black friends or my partner ever say the N word (note: they fucking won’t because they fucking know better, I trust them, and they’re actually compassionate and care about me, and I am very, very picky with who I choose to be my friends and partners) I’d drop them like a fucking hat because I am not a fucking N-Word Pass Card to be held, I am not the golden ticket to saying a word that is used to traumatize people, I am a being who deserves love and respect, and deserves to be listened to and paid attention to.
And if you can’t do that, if you want to use my blackness as an excuse to be disrespectful and disgusting, you never gave a shit about me in the first place and you just wanted an excuse to be racist.
I will never excuse anyone wanting a Pass to be disrespectful. Ever. You shouldn’t even want to do that. At all.
And if you as a black person let your non-black friends have a Pass, and excuse that bullshit, you do not value yourself at all. You do not see yourself as being worthy of being treated with respect. Point blank period.
The fact that this is even a thing shows just how little people respect black people. It is disturbing. Never have I ever heard of wanting to use a slur so badly being a thing in any other community. Only with black people. To even respect black people on a decent level is seen as laughable to people. It’s disgusting and sad.

writing [love]; dream, a writer.
Dream: I like writing. I like writing poems; I like writing songs; I like writing everything. I like storytelling—I just like storytelling. Storytelling in general is fun. I do a lot of storytelling through, like, my videos, through my video editing ... that's my favourite part of writing.
Dream: So, it's [love is] special, you know? You can't really explain it. Um, you know, with your mum, your dad, your—your sisters, your brothers, your cousins, your—your friends that you've known since you were a kid. Your friends that you just met a year ago that you are absolutely in love with as a person.
Dream: 'Have you written stories as well as songs lately?' Yeah—I mean, well ... I feel like songwriting is very—it's like, you just take stories—like 'Roadtrip' was, like, essentially a poem, and a story, that was turned into a song. And I feel like that's with a lot of stuff. 'Mask' is the same; 'Mask' was a poem turned into a song.

mike wheeler and body worship i need your thoughts
okay okay okay i had like, something like this in my drafts but i’m using this instead to share it.
writing this in a sort of blurb format bc that’s easiest for me, some nsfw ahead but nothing explicit, still mike is of age!!, i imagined that reader is plus-sized so there are a few plus size descriptors
mike wheeler has an obsession with your body.
how could he not? the warmth that radiates from your skin is just so inviting, he can’t help but drag his hands all over and feel it underneath his cold fingertips.
he loves to plaster tender kisses starting from your plump lips, to your neck, to your supple tummy, and down your legs. the prettiest chuckles tumble from his mouth as he watches you squirm, quickly becoming embarrassed by his affections.
despite your pleas, mike takes his time to show his adoration. he’s painstakingly slow because each caress is intricate, perfectly thought out so no inch of skin goes neglected. you’re a goddess in his hands.
his fingers follow every curve and groove, every freckle and scar that’s speckled the expanse of your body like a roadmap or constellation he’s seen before but can never get enough of. he’ll trace every stretch mark that litters the fat of your hips, thighs, and stomach.
“so so pretty,” mike murmurs into your skin, dragging his lips over your thighs. “can’t get enough.”

i dont know how profound their romance is in the musical or whatever but in the book pierre meets natasha when she’s like 13 or something and then for the rest of the book it’s just like bruhhhh h h h . Russian novel moment ! this always happens. so i cant take them seriously really but maybe in the musical it’s normal . maybe
iim gonna be honest with you dude i didnt even know they were romantic when i first listened to it:( i thought it was like a found family moment. and yea he says "i have known her since she was a child and long carried affection for her" pierre FAIL moment but 'affection' isnt inherently romantic ! and. mannn i misread some moments so bad. after anatole fails to steal natasha away and her reputation is ruined, pierre goes to her and sees how messed up her situation is. how sad she is. and he goes "if i were not ugly and stupid and dumb but someone cool and awesome. id get down on my knees this minute and ask you for your hand and for your love" but i thought that was just like fuckinggg. "its not over for you. youre still young. if i could id restore your honour, but i cannot, but there will be someone out there that can, youre not over, you still have so much life left to live. id help you if i could but i rlly cant. youre going to be okay." and not. as genuine as it turned out to be. hes a poet and shit right hes a philosopher. i thought he was just being all cool and stuff with his words for no reason . pierre fail moment. poor natasha... auughhh
