An artist and designer from Harlesden with a bachelor’s degree in Textiles in Practice from Manchester School of Art @msoa_tip @mcrschart @manmetuni @tip_top_mmu Warren’s work explores the world of applied art through fashion and textiles and uses these mediums to examine social design as a means of protest and exploring identity. Being a Lewisham girl since I was around 8, I just had to jump on the social media train and plug this. 📢 I’m backing the bid for #lewisham being named London Borough of Culture in 2021! ✨ As a Filipina, I’m classed as part of the ethnic minority. Growing up in Lewisham, me & my family were generally treated with respect and I didn’t grow up feeling like an alien. I’ve met many people from all corners of the world, from Lebanon to Lithuania, from China to Czech, from Italy to Iran. And although I didn’t meet them all in Lewisham alone, it‘s snugly placed between those areas, less than an hour from Shoreditch or Central London. So yeah, I honestly do feel like growing up here has had a profound effect on my adult eyes - I always try to see the person, regardless of culture, religion, class or race. Teaching Assistant at a local Brent primary school for over 18 years. Rosalyn has a history in fashion illustration due to her studies at Kilburn Polytechnic (now @cnwl1) in Fashion and Clothing.
