Inadvisable RPG worldbuilding premise #137: Dungeons & Dragons style outer-planar cosmology, except instead of a Great Wheel based on the Good/Evil–Law/Chaos alignment grid, the planes form a Great Hypercube based on Myers-Briggs type indicators.

INSP this. ENFP that. Enough about the MBTI personality test. It’s pseudoscientific garbage. I’m only interested in the MBTA personality test.

I thought I was an INTJ my whole life: I got that on 16personalities (though people have told me that it's not very accurate), and other online ones (that probably weren't very accurate either...)
But I took the Michael Caloz test the other day, because many said that they liked that one, and I got ENTP??
I honestly don't know how much I agree with it - I'm not very spontaneous and I like lists and rules and stuff
Is there another test anyone recommends? I'm going to settle this once and for all (and by that I mean I'll continue thinking about which result I agree with the most until the end of time)

Morfydd Clark, definitely an “ISFJ” ✨
My favorite MBTI source that types people on Youtube has finally got Morfydd Clark added on their channel. I just want to share the video as it is quite interesting. ISFJs are dubbed as Protectors and Nurturers. That's definitely, Morfydd Clark! She's actually a bit trickier to type compared to other ISFJs. Some people have even considered her to be an INFP or an ENTJ, and I totally see where they're coming from. What stands out to me the most about Morfydd is her 'FE' (Extraverted Feeling). It's evident in how she consistently acknowledges and includes others in whatever she's doing or saying. She sees people, and I love that. If you're a fan, you probably already picked up on that. Her 'Introverted Sensing' (SI) is at the top of the stack of her MBTI functions. She genuinely enjoys soaking up on her sensory experiences, and then meticulously processing them with her 'Introverted Thinking.' She'd be the type to experience something in real time, then will quickly compare it to her stored memories. Morfydd likes drawing from her past experiences as she observes her surroundings and the people in them, and then try to make sense of everything. That's how I see her. I am just hyped about this because of the fact, that the channel confirmed my observations. 😊
youtube
Comment on Youtube Oh my god, you really finally typed her. I am just over the moon! This is amazing. She really is an ISFJ! It feels good to know that, because I was actually trying to understand if she's either ISFJ or ESFJ. I was juggling if her 'FE' (Extraverted Feeling) was higher or not. Rose mentioned (1:53) how Morfydd does the 'SFJ' thing (FE), where she just compliments people. You are absolutely right! She does this a lot, just naturally including people whom she's worked with in the conversations, not just those on camera but others on set. She's always looking at others, complimenting and appreciating them. You also noticed of her 'NE' (Extraverted Intuition) and how she like, intensely associates and understands her role and the subject matter (4:23). That's because she is a massive fan of the books and the films since she was a kid. She said she found those stories kind of, like her respite from the world that doesn't completely understand her. She has ADHD and I guess that also explains why she really fixates on things she truly loves and could immerse herself so deep into them (hyperfocusing). I bet you could talk to her for hours and hours about anything she truly enjoys. "She doesn't take herself seriously." I love that you noticed that (4:54), she is a funny one, and she's definitely quirky, although it's not that obvious. But ask those people she's worked with. Her director in 'Saint Maud' (Rose Glass) did say how funny she actually is. She finds comedy in seriousness. I can't explain it, but I know what she meant. You also said, "What you see isn't always what you get" (7:43). I fell into that trap when typing her at first, and thought they might be right with 'INFP', but I knew her 'FE' was strong, so she can't really be an INFP (Introverted Feeler). I got stuck on that for quite a while. Thanks for mentioning that too. I just want to say, that I started following your advise. That typing people with the MBTI isn't really just about studying each function and stacking them up as you see it, it's also about comparing individuals. I see that it really worked for me. You guys already have a good set of ISFJ females that I was able to look at and compare her with. She really does seem like most of those women you typed on the ISFJ list, and that helped me decide. So yes! Your project works, and I love that. I just want to thank you again for finally typing Morfydd Clark. And I'm sorry this comment is so long! That's how much I loved it. THANK YOU CHRIS & ROSE!!! 🥰🥰🥰

You guys can check out Typebook, especially if you're interested in studying the 16 psychological types, or you're just simply curious of what personality type your favorite people might have. I just find MBTI typing really fun and interesting! 😎
What is your type? Take the test.

Creed: Adonis Creed (ISFP)
Tumblr media
“ Adonis Creed values staying true to himself and his feelings. The first movie starts out with him walking away from a stable job, in spite of just receiving a promotion, so he can follow his dream to box. He doesn’t try to hold onto the job as a security blanket, but instead completely commits without getting any...”

you characterized ATG, both historical and in dwtl, as ENTP, and H as INTP. which MBTI types would you assign the other major historical players (based on what you can glean from them ofc) or the character versions in your novels? ex. krateros strikes me as ESTJ, but curious if you feel differently.
Honestly, I don't think we know enough. And while I was okay with assigning the real ATG an ENTJ, H as INTJ would be only the novel. (Definitely a J for both, not a P.) Similar problems for pretty much everyone else. Our evidence is just too spotty, I'm afraid.
Also, I'd have to go back through and do some re-reading of the Myers-Briggs types, which could take some hours. I need to spend that reading Aristotle's Politics (and other things) instead. *grin*

Hi! I'm curious to know if alters in a system have different Myers-Briggs or Enneagram types?
Personality tests are designed to gather information about an individual's "motivations, preferences, interests, emotional make-up, and style of interacting with people and situations," according to the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.
Developed by a mother-daughter team the Myers-Briggs test is supposed to indicate how people perceive and process the world around them. I encourage you to read the history of the Myers-Briggs as it wasn’t created by psychologists.
People who live with DID have taken the Myers-Briggs test and report different personality types for the part taking the MBTI. I couldn’t find an empirical article on this topic.
"We focus on examining the validity of the Jungian-based theory behind MBTI that specifies that people have a “true type” delineated across four dichotomies. We find that the MBTI theory falters on rigorous theoretical criteria in that it lacks agreement with known facts and data, lacks testability, and possesses internal contradictions." Source
The Enneagram personality system includes mystical elements and purportedly has ancient origins. It groups participants into 9 types based on the numbers 1-9, with a sub-type, or “wing,” of a different number.
"The Enneagram has issues with reliability and validity. Several studies found the Enneagram was helpful for personal/spiritual growth." Source

MBTI Types as Michael Scott Quotes
ENFJ: “Do I need to be liked? Absolutely not. I like to be liked. I enjoy being liked. I have to be liked, but it’s not like this compulsive need to be liked, like my need to be praised.
INFJ: “Society teaches us that having feelings and crying is bad and wrong. Well, that’s baloney, because grief isn’t wrong. There’s such a thing as good grief. Just ask Charlie Brown.”
ENFP: “Sometimes I’ll start a sentence, and I don’t even know where it’s going. I just hope I find it along the way.”
INFP: “Well, well, well, how the turntables...”
ENTJ: “The only time I set the bar low is for limbo.”
INTJ:  “Guess what, I have flaws. What are they? Oh, I don’t know. I sing in the shower. Sometimes I spend too much time volunteering. Occasionally I’ll hit somebody with my car. So sue me.”
ENTP: “I saved a life. My own. Am I a hero?… I really can’t say, but yes!”
INTP: “My philosophy is, basically this. And this is something that I live by. And I always have. And I always will. Don’t, ever, for any reason, do anything, to anyone, for any reason, ever, no matter what, no matter where, or who you are with, or, or where you are going, or, or where you’ve been. Ever. For any reason. Whatsoever.”
ESFJ: “Yes, it is true. I, Michael Scott, am signing up with an online dating service. Thousands of people have done it, and I am going to do it. I need a username. And I have a great one. Little Kid Lover. That way people will know exactly where my priorities are at.”
ISFJ: “I love inside jokes. I hope to be a part of one someday.”
ESFP:  “Sometimes you have to take a break from being the kind of boss that’s always trying to teach people things. Sometimes you just have to be the boss of dancing.”
ISFP: “I am Beyoncé, always.”
ESTJ:  “Toby is in HR, which technically means he works for corporate. So he’s not really a part of our family. Also, he’s divorced, so he’s not really a part of his family.”
ISTJ:  “You know what they say? Fool me once, strike one but fool me twice.... strike three.”
ESTP: “Two weeks ago, I was in the worst relationship of my life. She treated me poorly, we didn’t connect, I was miserable. Now, I am in the best relationship of my life, with the same woman. Love is a mystery.”
ISTP:  “Friends joke with one another. Hey, you’re poor. Hey, your momma’s dead. That’s what friends do.”

A Myers-Briggs Description
How would you describe yourself to someone? My Myers-Briggs personality assessment has me coming in as an INFP; for those who know what this means, you know I’m introverted and quiet in social settings. I’m not great at small talk that can seem to some to be off-putting, especially the more extroverted people. It also means I have a small circle of friends; I do not dislike friendships, but I’m…
