Wow look I finally drew him properly! This was like the 2nd or so AU I've ever made, but honestly I feel so strongly about it that it's really intimidating to try and make a satisfying explanation post for it. I want it to be perfect ah. In this painting I drew the uniform Napoleon wore during the Italian campaign in the 1790s, bcs I think it's so pretty, and not just the typical Napoleon outfit everyone knows(tho dw I'm in love with that one too.)

Though I will say, it was a bit weird drawing Fernando in navy blue(is this a sign for 2025?), so I had to draw him in the bright red First Consul uniform, to return some order to the world y'know

I ended up picking "victory belongs to the most persevering" as the Napoleon quote to use, but that was really hard to pick tbh. I literally have a whole folder of Napoleon quotes that remind me of Fernando LOL. Some others, to give you an idea:

I don't think this drawing was nearly as complicated as the Seb one, but for some reason it made me suffer more. I think you just get into this really intense mindset after drawing smth super detailed, and it's very frustrating. But I like it! His face was very confusing to me(the angle of the eyes), and then it randomly hit me how to draw it so that was cool. Look at him face :) handsome boy

RESIDENT EVIL → THE WESKER FAMILY

To the public, little is known of the families behind some of the world’s most renowned bioterrorists, but the question remains: did they play a role in causing their children to walk down the path that they did? Or are these individuals simply ambitious criminals with delusions of grandeur?

For Diana Wesker (née Afanasyeva), her introduction into the bioweapons black market trade was upon discovering her employers were using her research into limb regeneration with salamanders to further their experiments in creating enhanced soldiers, instead of developing human therapies with which she was recruited for. Although the prospect of using biological weapons in the military did not appeal to her, the concept remained fascinating for her own selfish endeavours. Born on the 27th of October, 1963 in Sydney, Australia to Russian immigrant parents, Diana had harsh expectations placed upon her at a young age, ones that no matter how hard she tried she could never live up to. Her mother, Tatyana, was an unfeeling woman, absent for long stretches of time with little regard to how it affected her daughters, much more concerned with her craft as an accomplished opera singer. Viktor was no better. A strict man whose role as father and ballet master blurred, he pushed his girls to one day follow in his footsteps. Whilst Sofia enjoyed ballet, and went on to become a professional ballet dancer, Diana’s heart was set on going into the field of biology. She wished to make a name for herself, separate from her family – to which she succeeded.

Diana was married to former U.S. Marine, Dave Monroe, for only a year until he was declared dead in 1992 after succumbing to injuries sustained in a horrific car accident. Foul play was ruled out while Diana played the role of the grief-stricken widow, but in reality, she had snapped after years of mistreatment at her husband’s hands, and opted for something she could pass off as an accident to be free of him. For years she believed he was dead – and he was, legally – but that proved to not be the case when he found his way back into her life again in 1999. Unbeknownst to her, she had been lied to by the police and coroner, who were paid off by her employers when they took Dave’s body for themselves and used him as one of their first test subjects in developing supersoldiers. Before he could ever hurt her again, Diana’s second husband, Albert Wesker, tracked the man down, captured him and tortured him, before allowing Diana to get her violent and bloody revenge.

The origins of Albert Wesker’s involvement in bioterrorism, alongside his twin sister, Alex, are much different than that of Diana’s. The two hail from London, Canada, but unfortunately, they hold no memories of their lives there, nor what happened to their biological parents when they were eight years old. Agents of Oswell E. Spencer, an aristocratic billionaire and eugenicist, took the twins from their home and executed their parents as per Spencer’s orders. Albert and Alex were then placed in a home funded by the Spencer Foundation where they were given new names and a privileged upbringing. They had access to the best education possible, free to pursue whichever field they decided, but it was by no accident they both went into virology and bioengineering; at home, their adoptive parents – agents whom they believed to be their real parents – instilled them with the beliefs of Oswell E. Spencer, harbouring disdain for war and pestilence, and believing humans to be an evolutionary dead-end in need of a rebirth. They were only two of the hundreds of children “adopted” as part of what is known as Project W, a plan intended to develop an advanced race of human beings. The most promising candidates were headhunted by Umbrella Pharmaceuticals, the twins amongst them, where they went on to create bioweapons for the company founded by none other than the man who had handpicked them for his plan. The final stage of this was to infect the thirteen Spencer saw fit, however, only two survived; Albert received the intended effects, now possessing superhuman abilities, however, Alex was only offered more time to live due to her terminal degenerative illness.

In the summer of 1995, Diana was working undercover within Umbrella to gather development data on their projects for her company. Here, she had a chance encounter with Albert, an intelligence officer at the time, which permanently altered the course of her life. The two were never seen far from one another’s side, marrying in 1998, and they went on to become notorious in the bioweapons industry. The development of the Uroboros virus was where things took a turn for the worst. Although Diana’s infection was successful and she bore abilities that rivalled her husband’s, the plan itself did not succeed as they had hoped, and almost cost Albert his life at the hands of his former subordinates.

Now, they work within the shadows, with Diana declared missing and Albert believed to be dead. Their legacy, however, lives on with the mark they left on the world. As visionaries in their field, they influenced bioterror attacks carried out by countless individuals and organisations. In turn, they also inspired others to fight against such atrocities. One such person happens to be Albert’s son from a former relationship, Jake Müller, whose existence he was unaware of.

5/15/2023 Update: I have made a backstory and bio for the Scottish twins. They were first since they're my favorites. Trigger warning still. You can image the artwork in your head because I don't have the motivation to draw doodles of their past.

I'm just too excited to draw them. Have a blue version because I care about Reverend W. Awdry :'D I prefer black and will use black for my future art but still I made the blue version for Rev's legacy. 😤 ✊

NWR 1- 12 Height Comparison

Bio

The Scottish twins have the same uniform with the same hairstyle because they enjoy impersonating each other since they were children and intend to make jokes. Despite that, they give a dirty look if anyone tries to piss them off. Both have personalities different from one another as Donald is the calmest twin but is more tempered than Douglas. He has a duck name Dilly and is super gentle towards her since they have first met. Like Henry, Donald was inspired to become gentle towards animals. Douglas is more cheerful than Donald but sometimes he gets jealous over his brother's duck. He never leaves Donald behind and shows his bravery without hesitation despite their bickering, arguing and falling out. Donald and Douglas worked together almost all the time which made both of them practical, peppery and proud of their performance to serve on the North Western Railway.

Backstory (TW // Contains torture mentions death WILL CHANGE THEIR STORY)

Raised by a loving mother and a loving father, Donald and Douglas were taught how to become great brothers to each other, be there for one another and generally be two amazing sons. When they were kids, they loved to play with each other. They loved impersonating each other and having fun wherever they went with their parents. They sometimes argue but no matter how many times, they'll always get back together. They lived a happy and normal life until their lives changed forever.

When the twins were eight at the time they went back home from school, their parents weren't there. They looked around all over the house including the backyard. Their parents weren't present which made them worry because they were always home when the brothers came back from school. Hours have passed by and there is no sign of their parents coming home. The next morning, instead of being taken to school, the police showed up at their home and took them to the police station for an interview. Donald and Douglas told them their story after being informed that their parents had gone missing. Unfortunately there are no witnesses of anything that has happened to their mother and father so they couldn't live on their own, they had to move to an orphanage. However, a private investigator was involved and was interested in adapting them. The twins were sad that they would not see their loving parents again, but they were reassured that he and the police would find them so the twins trusted the investigator and got to know him. So with that, they can still attend school and live on with their normal lives but they are still upset over their missing parents. Years have passed by and they are still not found which made Donald and Douglas lose hope.

When they turned 16, it was their time to work on the Caledonian railway. They were given a class 812 uniform and the number tags of 57646 for Donald and 57647 for Douglas. Unfortunately, they are unable to see their investigator again but he promised to end the investigation once their parents were found. Their boss or controller was ruthless, selfish, and very mean when they first met him. He ran the Caledonian railway full of guards who kept their eye on workers who dared to make a wrong move. They expected a good controller who treats their workers fairly like in other railways but what they have heard was that working class men got punished by torture methods or worst of all execution. The controller held a big grudge against them because they're identical so he ordered them to have their number tattoos on their arms just in case the twins try to play a trick on anyone or remove the number tags off their uniform. Not only they receive tattoos, they were given a torture punishment by the spinning wheel (which contained a list of torture methods: skin burning, whipping, waterboarding, denailing, dry-boarding, walling, stoning, combing, electrocution, rats, and boiling water) as Donald got the ‘waterboarding’ method and Douglas got the ‘whipping’ method. Despite their torture punishments, they were given the same room they have in the Caledonian mansion because the controller had a history of being organized on almost everything he owned. But it didn’t change the fact that they weren’t safe on the railway. The first time they got their punishment under 18 was when Douglas tripped himself and knocked the goods crates by accident, making a mess on the station. The guards forcefully took to a nearby torture cellar. Donald sprung into action to attempt to take out the guards and save his twin but he was immediately pinned down and restrained. Both tried to break free but the guards were stronger than they thought they would be. As they were both dragged into the torture cellar, both were helpless as Douglas got whipped on his back while shirtless and Donald got waterboarded. It was one of the most excruciating pain that they have ever endured in their lives. The reason why they didn’t get executed is because their boss told the twins that it was just the beginning for them. The next time one of them tries to get involved in either of them being restrained will be sentenced to death. Because they didn’t want to lose each other, they became wise enough to follow the rules and not do anything stupid that could lead them to death or suffering the same punishment. Even though they got tortured over small mistakes, they still managed to stay alive and not lose each other. But whenever their controller was having a bad day, he would take out his anger on Donald but mostly on Douglas because of his little lack of being careful and beat both of them with a cane. They couldn’t fight back because they would be sentenced to death. When one of the men told them about their boss, they found out that the controller ordered another set of twins because he couldn’t stand them making mistakes like other Caledonians did in the past and how much they looked alike. There wasn't anything they could to stop the madness. The only choice Donald and Douglass wanted to make was to make their boss pleased but they knew he didn’t care all along. Neither did the controller or boss cared about any of the working class men but treated them like garbage.

Five years later after their living nightmare on the railway, the time has come when the controller informed Donald that he’ll be heading to Sodor for the help of goods work. Douglas on the other hand was going to be executed on the same day his twin would arrive in Sodor. Douglas felt helpless at the time they heard the news. As their controller left, Donald thought of a plan to escape the railway while comforting his brother. Douglas mentioned that they’re identical and wished to get rid of their numbers which gave Donald an idea for their plan to escape. As night fell, it was time for their plan. They went to the bathroom and washed off their tattoos but because it was permanent ink, they went on washing off their last number of “6” and “7.” The numbers aren't completely washed off but it was the best they could do. Donald then told his brother to wait and went to steal a rope from the basement. They used the rope to sneak out of the window without the guards gaining any suspicion towards them. As Donald and Douglas successfully made it out of the mansion and threw away their number tags, they headed on to the nearby station and waited for the train that takes them to Sodor. It was their lucky day that the train that heads south west has arrived at the station. The twins went aboard the train and chose the option to head to Sodor as Donald entered his verification requirements. They were relieved that they escaped this nightmare for now but they still miss their parents who are still reported missing. They miss their investigator who helped them get through the education. Their goal they were focusing on was to arrive at their new destination and have Sir Topham Hatt to keep both twins but they will be traumatized by the pain they have suffered from the actions of their former ruthless controller possibly forever but they'll maybe get through it by therapy and help by new friends.

#digital art #artists on tumblr #illustrators on tumblr #original character #original illustration #sasha's art #this one took much longer than i expected it to because well. thats how things go sometimes #there was a time in my life when i was going through years of abuse and felt like i had no way out of that #this led me to become uncaring and reckless and i was very impulsive at the time #there was this big old abandoned hospital in my home town that was not that far from my parents house #by this point in life i felt like i had lost all relationships with people previously close to me and i was not making any new ones out of- #-fear but also because i was isolationg myself (unknowingly) #because i was a child i percieved exploring this building as doing something Unsafe and Dangerous (and i guess it was in the sense that- #-things could fall on me if i wasn't careful) #but anyway i decided going there was going to be my Safe Place #as abandon buildings seem to be so seductive to teenagers it turned out this place was already a popular hang out spot for many teens #so i decided my best course of action would be to sneak out of my room at night/ dawn and go do art at this place when it was safe from- #-other teens lmao #it made me feel Edgy and Cool and Dangerous (even though looking back this was one of the safest activities i was engaging in lmao) #anyways #i replaced all my close human relationships with an abandoned house at the time (maybe theres a metaphor in there somewhere but. i do not- #(-want to see it) #at the time the thing i wanted the most in the world was to die and this was the place it was supposed to happen #luckily i made a deal with myself for ten more years and this ended up saving my life #so i have many mixed emotions about this place. it was there for me when i was at my lowest and loneliest. it was supposed to be my last #a few years ago i took my two best friends there (hadn't told them this story then yet) and i had a wonderful day and felt Loved #it was a weird feeling to feel there #i decided not to take them into the house and i don't think i will ever go in again #but i am glad i had it back when i needed it i guess #i wonder if theres still any of my old art supplies hidden about somewhere
