I love when a character is the in-control, put-together Adult(TM) in any given room, but when you step back & look at their own life it quickly becomes clear they are, in fact, a walking disaster about 2 mental breakdowns away from chucking a molotov cocktail into a dumpster, pointing at it, and saying “me,” before just laying down in the middle of the road.

Ya know, the more I think about it, the more Tony Stark annoys me and I’ve realized that the events of Infinity War (and ig Endgame too technically) are literally all his fault. Because it all started with him in AOU when he went behind his teams back to create Ultron without thinking through any of the consequences and being arrogant enough to think that everything would go right because he’s the one who’s building it. If Sokovia was never destroyed, then that woman wouldn’t have came to him in CW about her son’s death. Which then caused Tony to AGAIN go behind his team’s back, and get the Ross/the Government to practically punish and restrict everyone, which is already bad enough but then he gives a whole speech trying to guilt the rest of the Avengers for fighting and correcting the problem that he literally created in the first place. He’s quite literally the reason for the sokovia accords that brought so much tension among everyone and once again, if he’d never built Ultron, Sokovia would still be standing and Zemo would have never did those things. So really, Tony IS the whole fucking reason the avengers broke up and weren’t together to fight Thanos the first round. But even more than that, the avengers (besides Thor and Banner) could’ve been all together to fight Thanos, having a better chance, if only Tony woulda swallowed his damn pride and pettiness and called Steve when he needed back up, instead of just being like “mmmm no I don’t wanna talk to him so I’m gonna fight this universe level threat without that support”. Literally everything is Tony’s damn fault, all because he wanted to make Ultron.

I want a proper FFT remake a la Tactics Ogre reborn and I need it to have 50x as much Meliadoul because she's a fascinating character. Like everyone else in her scenario stayed on the wrong side and doubled down but she gave up everything, even turned her back on family (blood or otherwise) to side with people she didn't know. And she's just not explored much beyond her introductory remarks. She turns coat and then the story loses interest in her.
Her sword arts are OP and she's a tank so I always bring her to the final boss rush. The boss rush that is everyone Meliadoul knew and loved. Given her and Isilud's relative positions it's likely they always knew the Templars, it's likely they're basically like siblings/uncles depending on age. You can bring Meliadoul and she can kill every one of them.
Aaaaand she won't say a word. It feels really strange. Does this upset her? is she filled with righteous anger? Does she just want it over with? We don't know, she won't say anything. She has nothing to say about her family turning into demons, about them being behind the war, beyond some initial resistance to the notion before her recruitment.

Escargot (snippet)
“I’m never going to be able to eat escargot again,” Clint said. He was bent over, hands braced on his legs, as he tried to catch his breath.
“You never ate escargot to began with,” Coulson deadpanned as he came onto the scene and looked at the carnage around the heroes. Carefully, he stepped around a puddle of green, viscous slime.
“Why would I? It’s snails. Who actually wants to eat snails?”
“Escargot is just an excuse to eat a lot of garlic and butter,” Iron Man said. He hovered above the battlefield, staying well out of the mess that was the scattered remains of the inter dimensional, giant, snail like creatures. The shells alone were the size of small cars. It was sort of impressive. “These would need… so much butter.”
“Please stop talking about eating them,” Steve begged. He was still trying to shake the slime off of his gloves. Punching the things had come at a steep cost to the red white and blue.
Iron Man tilted his head and gave a shrug. The move was exaggerate enough to telegraph through the armor. “It’s better than talking about the tongues.”
“Yeah, nope, let’s not talk about those either!” Clint agreed, waving an arm in front of him. “I never needed to know that snails had tongues.”
“Actually, they’re called radulas. The Cone Snail’s radular harpoons are one of the fastest attacks of any animal,” Bruce said. His words were a little muffled as he finished pulling a S.H.E.I.L.D branded t-shirt over his head. He paused in his effort of trying to fix his hair, distracted by adding the horrifying fact. “Oh, and they deliver a neuroexcitatory peptide. It’s actually really fasci—”
“Bruce, I’m sure it really, really is, but if you don’t stop talking, I think Hawkeye might hurl,” Iron man said.
“I’m surprised that he hasn’t already,” Natasha commented. She was somehow almost impeccably clean. Probably because, unlike the rest of the ground team, she had stayed well away from the Hulk and his utter joy at battling the ‘squishy slime things’.

Even without his Vision, Kaeya is not wholly helpless.
If there was one thing he could appreciate about his father, it’s that the man raised him with full knowledge of self-defense as a child. He needed to be able to handle himself should they ever be separated, after all. Especially when it came to any Abyssal creatures they might face, or otherwise any hostile people they may encounter.
He knew all the best places to drive in a knife, what tendons to cut, how to best blind an opponent, and creatively so at that. He knew how to set traps and buy himself a precious few seconds more, how to use those said seconds in a fraction of that time. He knew how to use an opponent’s physical strength against them, how to counter someone with a Vision/elemental energy usage as best he could. To not let himself get caught so off guard no matter what, bc the moment that control was wrenched away from him, his disadvantages would be nigh insurmountable.
The man taught him to harness Abyssal energy, using a small fraction of it—no more than that, his father made him promise; never more than the necessary—to make swift little jumps through space, even to facilitate escape or victory, whichever he’d choose. In time, he would have taught him to use the elements through it too, as many Abyssal beings had done, as a particular last resort, but having been left to the Ragnvindrs’ care, he never got the chance.
Though it didn’t stop Kaeya from trying. Not wanting to be left behind after Diluc had gotten his Vision and wanting to be useful to him as his right hand, he tried his best at figuring it all out. Felt it tug at something deep inside him like a tether each time he tried, failing just as many, only managing the all too familiar wisps of Abyssal energy he was more familiar with. It was through encountering an Abyss Mage and coming in contact with the ice it conjured that he finally got a better grasp at what to do.
Only for him to realize each conjure of Abyssal energy-infused ice was nothing short of painful each time, the energy within him thrumming so much amid the curse he already bore as a Khaenri’ahn, so much so, it would frighten and dissuade him from using those abilities anyway. For a short time, at least, until he realized how well it helped in a pinch. Still, he became far more wary. Even with his desperation to try and catch up to Diluc, his father’s warning against abusing the Abyssal energy coursing within him burning brighter in mind with every use. Especially when a Pyro Abyss mage lingering about a domain tried to call his attention after he’d been pushed to use that power.
Nothing good would come out of using such an ability, he’d decided then—keeping to the bare minimum, like his father wanted would be best. He wouldn’t want to be so marked by the Abyss otherwise. Wouldn’t want to increase the risk of his attempts and powers being found out, certainly not by the family that had taken him in.
Is it any wonder he was so horrified to find it was a Cryo Vision that had come to him that fateful night?

I'm rereading an old fic I started shortly after the Loki series came out because I kinda wanna go back to writing it but honestly I'm not sure I can top this line:
"Wow," Sylvie says. "We've gone through three different conversation starters and all I've learned is that people think you're annoying, as if I hadn't figured that out myself."

I totally get all those who are wanting Robin or Steve and Nancy together (because Robin is suddenly her gal pal SUPER fast and the show seems set on having EVERYONE try to force Steve back to her, which wth?! but yeah it's there, even if I hate it) but I just can't, like, I NEED Joncy. I waited until the S4 binge to watch S3 and coming off of my first time of S3 which really deepened their relationship so soon like... nah, y'all can't take them away from me.
Shared trauma. Matching scars on their palms and matching scars in their hearts because they both had to kill their former bosses to survive, yes they were possessed by a monster and it was self defense but they still murdered people. They didn't know if it was possible to save them. And then after, when the blob went towards Nancy, Jonathan screaming desperately to get its attention to him instead. That S3 episode gave me chills, more trauma that only they can understand with each other.
Jonathan always wanting the best for her even if it kills him. Telling her that Steve asked him to take her home after the party in S2, trying to cheer her up even if it meant making Steve look better when others might have seized that opportunity to gain her favor. Him making an honest attempt to connect with Samantha at the party like Nancy suggested and maybe there could have been something there but then Nancy needed him. Not wanting to tell her he was going to a different school because he didn't want to pressure her to give up on her dreams for him. Jonathan has had to grow up long before he should have and has spent years putting his loved ones first over himself working and taking care of Will. He doesn't want even a fraction of that disappointment and deep-seated resentment for her. But his and Nancy's interests still align even if their paths are not the same so that they could still have a life together.
Nancy says in S2 she waited for him after S1, and he scoffs it was only "like a month". A month he was trying to put his family back together after they had a FUNERAL for Will. He wasn't ready for the relationship even though he had feelings for her. She learns that over time. They fight about Jonathan's needing a job and her not understanding her privilege, and they come together again stronger, the end of S3 with that hug and that talk before he left. They are two people who have been through so much together and continue to learn to understand each other and come together again better after every hurdle.
So let's do it again this time too. I need Joncy, please I like Steve no hate to him but let's leave that where it is please, I want Byler and Steddie and Robin with a girlfriend too but not Nancy, I need Joncy to survive 🥺
