“i’m gonna try to carve your face,” mammon says, and you burst out laughing.
“good luck with that,” satan says drily, bent over his pumpkin, spoon in hand. somehow, unlike asmo beside him, he’s completely spotless, with not a hint of goop on him anywhere.
“yeah,” belphie adds, “because your art skills can actually make that happen.”
mammon pouts, waving a handful of pumpkin guts through the air threateningly. “you guys are so mean to me! i could do it.”
“yeah, right,” levi chimes in. he’s got his brow furrowed in concentration as he outlines the shape he wants to cut out in marker, checking his reference picture every so often to make sure he’s on track. it doesn’t escape your attention that his reference photo, is in fact, a ruri-chan chibi.
“hey, beel, put that down!” belphie slaps beel’s hand just before he puts a seed into his mouth. “mc said we’ve gotta cook them first.”
“we do,” you confirm. “beel, i promise the wait will be worth it.”
he sighs, but nods. “fine. but i’m so hungry.”
“you’ll survive,” lucifer tells him, showing no mercy. he’s got his sleeves rolled up and is elbow-deep in the pumpkin, apparently haven given up on using a scoop. it’s nice to see him let go a little bit, and you’re not going to lie, the faces he’s been making at the texture deserve to be memorialised.
“okay, i think i’m ready to carve,” you say to no one in particular, and in an instant, several different carving tools are being held out. you choose one of the kitchen knives, not trusting yourself to manage anything fancier. you’ve gone for a very classic jack-o-lantern and only hope you can do it justice. carving neatly has never been your strong suit.
but isn’t that part of the fun? getting messy and goopy and having everything look a little bit wonky? you certainly think so.
“be careful not to cut yourself,” mammon warns, and you flash him a grin.
“thanks, i will.”
carefully beginning with the eyes, you begin to cut out your face.
“i’m done,” beel announces, and you look over to see his pumpkin. it’s one of the largest ones you could find and what he’s done with it is comical. a small, friendly face sits directly in the middle, disproportionately sized to the rest.
“i like it,” you say, fighting a laugh. “if you want to begin sorting the seeds from the goop, then we can cook them faster.”
beel nods, seriously and begins to do what you say. you finish up your carving in the next few minutes, proudly setting it aside.
“whoa, mc, that looks really good,” asmo cheers, and you lean over to wipe a bit of pumpkin guts off of his cheek. how he’s gotten so messy within is completely beyond you, but hey, at least he looks like he’s having a good time. “do you think you can help me with mine?”
“no way,” levi says. “we all have to do our own!”
“ugh, fine.”
“lucifer, how is yours going?” you ask, peering at his pumpkin. he’s got a pen in his hands now and seems to be considering what kind of face.
“good, except i can’t think of what to draw,” he replies, and you spread your arms.
“but there are so many options!”
“and that’s the problem. i work better when there are fewer choices.”
“maybe look up some inspo pics?” you offer helpfully, and he nods, pulling out his d.d.d.
“mammon, let’s see yours,” satan says gleefully, and mammon jumps, covering it with his arms.
“no way! it’s not ready!”
“but you’ve been drawing forever!”
“mc’s face is kinda hard, okay?” he defends, still not letting anyone see.
“that means you screwed up,” belphie intones, and mammon flushes.
“nuh-uh!” he pauses. “but um, on a totally unrelated note, are there any extra pumpkins?”

The comprehensive guide for why absolutely everyone should read and watch this work of art.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
First of all, Iruma is best boy! He loves his friends and his family, his instinct is to help others, and like… just look at him. So good, so pure. But what truly makes Iruma a protagonist worthy of having a slide to himself is his character development. He actually starts off as a completely selfless person due to how his awful parents groomed him, and his whole character arc is learning how to be more selfish. Of course, Iruma’s selfishness manifests as eating all the food he wants, holding on to his family and friends, and finding ambition.
Tumblr media
Sullivan (the first guy) adopts Iruma as his grandson after his parents sold him. This dude radiates grandpa energy and his number one priority is to spoil his new grandson. He’s also the principal of the school he sends Iruma too. And one of the most powerful demons in the netherworld. Opera is Sullivan’s butler, and warms up to Iruma a bit slower than Sullivan (so like a few days). They’re not very expressive facially. Rather they mainly express emotions through their ears and tail. They’re a total Badass™ and surprisingly mischievous. Alice Asmodeus (on the left of the 3rd pic) swore his undying loyalty to Iruma after Iruma accidentally kicked his ass. This man is ride or die, and honestly my words can’t do him justice so it’s better if you just experience this gay disaster for yourself. Clara Valac (right of the same pic) is a gremlin and I love her. Her priority is to play with her friends All. The. Time. But she also has insecurities about her personality after it stopped her from making friends. I put Ameri Azazel (please step on me) in between them. She’s the student council president, a badass, and a huge romantic. Naberius Kalego is the homeroom teacher of the misfit class (the class Iruma ends up in.) He’s a Very strict teacher, but genuinely cares about his students and is good at his job. There are so many other characters, but I want to avoid spoilers and get sleep tonight.
Tumblr media
14 year old Suzuki Iruma was raised by his parents to do chores and make them money. Eventually they decided that he wasn’t bringing in enough, so they sold him to a demon who takes him to the netherworld. Instead of eating him though, Sullivan (the demon) asks him to become his grandson, and Iruma, who’s unable to say no under any circumstances, says yes. He starts school at the demon school Babyls (pictured above) where he attends as the only human. Of course if anyone finds out they’ll eat him. While at school, he realizes that he doesn’t have an ambition of his own, so Ameri suggests that he try climbing the ranks (all demons are ranked by their power you know the drill).
Tumblr media
This manga is hilarious! With such jokes as Iruma eating a ridiculous amount of food, every interaction between Asmodeus and Clara, and Ameri’s obsession with shojo manga. One of the funniest bits is that due to some unfortunate circumstances, Kalego becomes Iruma’s familiar, and you’ll learn all about this if you check it out, but for now all you need to know is that that fluffy chicken is Kalego. Crossdressing has been used for comedy like three times now, but not in a degrading way. It’s not the butt of the joke or anything. That’s Iruma, and he looks fucking amazing as many other characters have said many times 100% seriously. Moving on, cause explaining humor is difficult!
Tumblr media
I adore how Clara is allowed to be a hyperactive gremlin, and I’m not talking “oh she’s quirky” I’m talking playing involves battle axes and acting like a demon bowling ball. You know the trope where the powerful girl isn’t actually that serious and instead is a huge romantic? Well Ameri may be a romantic, but her seriousness isn’t an act. She is 100% dedicated to her ambitions. And look at the designs for some of the recurring background characters! Too often in fantasy settings the female monsters, demons, etc are reduced to almost entirely human, with the exact same body type, and maybe horns or something. Not Here! There’s also the girls in the misfit class who all have their own motivations and interests. I’m also now realizing how many tall girls are in this series… awesome.
Tumblr media
Ok so the fact that there’s even more than one queer character already make this amazing. But in addition to that, it’s never treated like a big deal. I mean look at the second picture “gender doesn’t matter to demons” love wins! So Eiko is a recurring character who has a huge crush on both Iruma and Ameri, and later becomes comrades with Asmodeus specifically when it comes to Iruma (they share photos of him it’s hilarious). Asmodeus having a crush on Iruma isn’t explicitly stating, but like I’d like to see someone argue that he doesn’t. Besides, his feelings are always treated the same as Clara’s and Eiko’s when it comes to Iruma. The holy grail of representation though is Opera who’s never referred to by gendered terms. The english dub of the anime actually specifically uses they/them pronouns. When I tell you I screamed! I could go on, but I’m I’m trying to avoid introducing too many characters.
Tumblr media
In Mairimashita! Iruma-kun a good family supports and loves each other completely, regardless of blood relations. But it’s not either or. Sullivan, Opera, and Iruma are my golden standard for found family. I mean their love of Iruma is over the top and unconditional, which is what Iruma needs after a life without any such love from his parents. Biological relations are shown as something that isn’t always great, yet it’s not something to be expected either. Clara’s family is a gift, and Asmodeus’ family is one of the funniest dynamics I’ve seen.
Tumblr media
These are typically considered negative traits, but here they are portrayed as desirable and useful. And it’s a convincing argument. Through Iruma we see that having your own ambitions and getting pissed is necessary for living a fulfilling life, and we see this because he starts out without having that. Every single time Iruma declares his own ambitions or says something selfish it’s just… chills. It’s always a powerful scene. Whenever Iruma gets truly pissed over something (which has legitimately only happened twice) we all cheer cause we’re so proud of him. I could write a whole essay about this one aspect of the story, but just know that I consider this to be an incredibly compelling narrative, and my favorite part of Mairimashita! Iruma-kun.
Tumblr media
In conclusion, I’m posting this on my birthday, so as a present I would like more people to get into this fandom because it deserves a larger fanbase.

Diary of a Junebug
Tumblr media
Kicking back at a seaside resort
Feel the wind in your hair and bask in the warm sunlight. Dive into the crystal clear water and immerse yourself in the world below. Float as far as the waves will take you.
I think Aqua Shores is becoming one of my favorite vacation spots. I’ve heard good things about the island for years but never got around to looking into it until a few months ago. It’s a bit hard to get there so that’s why it’s not overrun with tourists. Thanks to Isabelle and Tom Nook, we got a great vacation package deal that has made all the travel worth it!
While relaxing by the pool, I ran into two familiar faces - Dae and Marisol. They reside in Tokyo but visit Peace Coast Island once a year to host a big art exhibition at Seashore Path College. Dae Jeong is a big name in animation as she’s a producer, animator, writer, and founder of Sound Stories - an independent animation studio known for making strides in queer media.
Her wife, Marisol Alon, is a storyboarder and producer who’s the showrunner of the award winning show Flames of Amber, a must watch if you’re interested in fantasy, drama, and comedy. It’s kinda like a mix between a magical girl kind of show but aimed towards an older audience and a sitcom that tends to lean on the serious side. It’s one of those shows where it’s a mix of self-contained episodes and season long overarching plots. Season three, which is airing now, has been knocking it out of the park so far and we’re only like eight episodes in so far. It’s got dark humor, touching moments, wholesome slice of life stuff, stunning animation, and well developed characters - I can’t recommend it enough!
Dae’s the kind of person who built her life from the ground up. Having grown up in a family that disapproved of her lifestyle - specifically her interest in art - Dae is also an advocate in making the arts more accessible as well as helping those who are discouraged from expressing themselves. She’s one of those big figures - celebrity doesn’t fit her, though she might be considered one - who’s not performative when it comes to social justice. Despite what her detractors say, her activism hasn’t ruined her career, it made her stronger and more vocal. She’s the reason why animation is able to make big strides in queer and Asian representation.
It’s no question that I’m a big fan of Dae and Marisol. They’re also very much down to earth, the kind of people who like to keep it real. They mean what they say and say what they mean - even if it means putting their careers on the line. Basically if they were straight white men they wouldn’t be getting as much unwarranted criticism or be picked apart by haters.
Dae’s not one to back down from her opponents. She grew up in a super conservative, predominantly white suburban town, which explains a lot. She was born in Seoul and adopted at the age of two by a white American couple, to which she became known as Dani. Her parents adopted her because they were unable to have another child so they opted for “a poor exotic orphan” to make themselves look good. As a result, Dae never felt like she fit in with her family because they forced her to be someone she’s not.
From mocking her interests to clearly favoring her brother, it’s no wonder Dae resents her foster parents. It’s a sore subject for her but one she feels like it’s important to talk about as there’s a lot of people who grew up in a similar upbringing. It wasn’t until she left for college when Dae finally began to embrace her Asian side after years of being ashamed of her heritage.
Dae’s relationship with her foster brother is an interesting one. Jace was the golden child, the good looking athletic star who was popular and charismatic. Dae describes her relationship with him as complicated. While they weren’t exactly close, Jace was the only one who usually treated Dae like an actual person instead of a trophy or an emotional punching bag.
While things between Dae and her family were always strained, it reached a breaking point when Jace was diagnosed with cancer and lost his leg, ending a promising future as a basketball player. Her parents took their anger out on Dae while expecting her to act like a therapist as they cope badly with the circumstances. Jace also pushed Dae around but he would come to her defense at times if their parents go too far. While the parents were falling apart, the siblings came to a middle ground.
The years from Jace’s diagnosis to his death were the best in terms of their relationship, Dae once said. Maybe having cancer changed him as it knocked him off the impossibly high pedestal his parents put him on. With no one to turn to as their parents were too busy being shitty people, they reached an understanding over who their enemies were. They weren’t friends, but at least Jace admitted that the only reason why he stuck his neck out for Dae was because he found her “useful” in the war between their parents.
Jace was the reason why Dae was able to leave for good. Her parents were always against Dae pursuing art so they did everything they could to discourage her. Dae taught herself digital art so she won’t have to deal with her parents finding her art and destroying it. She worked hard to get scholarships since she’ll be paying every cent herself so she secretly joined competitions with Jace’s help. Eventually her effort paid off and she received an offer to study animation in Leeds. Knowing that it was her ticket out, Jace offered to help pay for her tuition as well as an apartment. He also made sure that their parents wouldn’t get in her way and for that, Dae is forever grateful.
In Leeds, it was like Dae was given a second lease on life. Free to be herself and pursue her dreams, she stopped being Dani and went back to her birth name. There, she met Marisol and they began dating a few years later. Jace checked in on her a few times over the next year before he died.
After graduating college, Dae and Marisol worked at a studio in London for a couple years before moving to Tokyo. Dae’s got an impressive array of works like Firefly Garden, Unknown Mysteries of the Seas, The Garden Palace, Neighbors, Northern Winters, and Carousel Dreams. Her whole career’s pretty much a middle finger to everyone who told her that she was destined to fail.
She's said that a part of her wants to go up to her foster parents and tell them to fuck off. But if they knew how successful she was - as in how much money she makes - they’d exploit her, bleed her dry, and destroy everything she worked hard for. Dae meant it when she said that she’s never going back.
It’s good to see Dae and Marisol kicking back at the pool. They’re here for their tenth wedding anniversary, taking a much needed vacation from their busy lives. It’s their first time at Aqua Shores too, having arrived a couple days before us. Both are trying not to do anything work related during their vacation, which is a bit of a challenge, especially for Marisol. The relaxing atmosphere does help a lot though.
After spending a good part of the day chilling by the pool, I invited Dae and Marisol to have dinner with us at the May Harbor Diner. So we enjoyed a beachside dinner while watching the waves and exchanging stories. I think Daisy Jane was a bit starstruck at first but by dinner she was comfortable enough to talk about art with Dae and Marisol. They both gave her a lot of helpful advice on getting her art out there, which was super nice. Dae later told me that she sees a lot of herself in Daisy Jane and I can see that too.
We stayed out until around eight and our group split up. Daisy Jane, Dae, Marisol, and I went on a ferry for an island tour that was about an hour long. At night it’s almost like Aqua Shores transforms into a different place. It’s a different kind of peaceful, like wandering the streets when most of the world is asleep so time moves differently in a way that makes you super aware of it. Too bad it’s hard to take decent pictures of the scenery - I tried and while the pics aren’t terrible, they really don’t do the island justice.
The lights are so gorgeous to look at, like who would’ve thought that street lights can be so pretty?
Then we hung out at the pool until 1, where we talked about Flames of Amber and binged on a few episodes. It’s fascinating hearing behind the scenes stuff from Marisol, especially in a casual setting instead of like a convention or something. Dae talked about what it’s like running an animation studio, which was fun to learn about. She and Marisol are so passionate and honest about their work, it makes me appreciate and respect them even more.
Before heading out, we got the next two days planned out - scuba diving and riding a hot air balloon! Plus there’s a new episode of Flames of Amber tomorrow so that’s another thing to look forward to.

Note
so i'm trying to draw a picture of a dude in a bathing suit... i was wondering if you could give me some pointers? especially in the anatomy lol
Sure! Excuse me if I go into too much detail. Or not enough! Feel free to message me again if you still have questions after this.
Short version:
1. Find a reference picture or two
2. Copy or analyze/reconstruct the image(s) to the best of your ability. (If you’re going to share your art publicly, you should use a license-free image, or credit/ask the owner – assuming that your art and the reference are clearly similar.)
3. ???
4. Profit
Long version:
1. Gather good reference
Tumblr, Pinterest, Instagram, Youtube, Google… the internet is full of attractive people. Find some pictures that look close to the result you want. I like workout videos or TV/movie scenes because it’s always useful to see your subject from multiple angles, and I can select the exact frames that look best to me.
Sometimes I use little action figures, or 3D models in apps like Skelly or Handy, when I’m trying to figure out a pose. You can also use pics of yourself or friends. A big mirror or a smartphone is all you need to be your own model.
Don’t hesitate to take inspiration from art you really like. Instead of copying it, analyze why it appeals to you, and see how you can apply that in your own work.
2. Draw the pose first!
One of my favorite general principles in art is to work from big to small, or general to specific.
Try to capture the basic shape and position of the pose before you consider individual muscles. Place the head, torso, and limbs as flat boxy shapes using straight lines or simple curves.
At this stage it’s still easy to make changes and correct things. Don’t rush ahead to the muscles before you’re satisfied with the pose.
This is more or less how I start a figure:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Both of these dudes are missing a cranium, and there are other proportion issues, so don’t mistake this as reference for anything but the overall drawing approach.)
3. Think of muscles as flat shapes
Muscles are complex interlocking 3D forms, but you don’t have to think of them that way in the beginning, especially if you’re sticking close to your reference. It’s easier to map the positions of the muscles onto your blocked-in pose with straight lines and basic curves, just like you did for the head, torso, and limbs. (See the chest of the second figure I posted above.)
This step is all about creating a clear guide for your final lines.
4. Final lines (or) additional steps
At this point you can make the contour more realistic, get the muscles just right, and add in more details from your reference, because you’ve got the pose established and you’ve figured out where all the major shapes are placed. If you tried to do this all at once, without blocking in the pose, you’d probably end up with a figure that’s way out of proportion.
For the final lines, work on top of your sketch. If it’s a traditional drawing, erase the sketch with a kneaded eraser until you can barely see it. If it’s a digital drawing, just lower the opacity of your sketch layer and make a new layer for your final lines on top.
If you’re familiar with constructive drawing (using perspective knowledge to translate your 2D drawing into basic 3D shapes, like wireframes), now is a good time to take your sketch further, using cross-contour lines and more accurate forms to define the figure in 3D space. Then you can do the final line work, or move on to the lighting or coloring phase.
Art is hard, so try to keep things simple and focus on one thing at a time. I try to think in a step-by-step way even when I ignore my own advice and rush to finish a drawing.
Generally speaking, the pose and overall proportions are much more important than detailed anatomy. Anatomy is the icing on the cake.
Resources for learning!
I should say that the main thing I covered in this post is an approach to blocking in a figure from reference. I left out a lot of the form building stuff that I rely on for most of my work, because it’s a huge subject, and you can get great results without all the complications if you use good reference.
To get the most out of your reference, it helps to learn observational drawing. Dorian Iten’s accuracy guide has some very useful tips.
In addition to observational drawing from reference, I use a constructive drawing approach, which I learned from resources like this:
Draw a Box - A great intro to constructive drawing. Highly recommended.
Figure Drawing: Design and Invention by Michael Hampton - Great to study after you know basic form construction, and before you dig too deep into anatomy.
My all time favorite figure drawing teacher is Steve Huston. Brilliant teacher and equally good artist. His book, Figure Drawing for Artists: Making Every Mark Count, is the single best guide to figure drawing that I’ve found. Also check out his lessons on New Masters if you want to get really serious.
Bryan Lee has posted a lot of great figure drawing tutorials and notes on his DeviantArt page. You can dig up most of the good stuff in his Tutorials section, and by searching his gallery for notes.
My ego is forcing me to add a disclaimer: More experienced artists will see that the work I post here doesn’t really do justice to the principles I mentioned. Trust me, I know my doodles are a horror show of errors. This is my fanart blog for chillaxing and trying very hard not to be the perfectionist who hates everything that’s not fit for a professional portfolio.

50 States of McMansion Hell Special: Top 20 New Jersey McMansions (Part 1)
Hello friends, from my new laptop! Thanks to everyone who donated - you are all my heroes!!!
Tumblr media
New Jersey is a special state - so special, I could spend an entire year roasting McMansions in New Jersey alone. One house really doesn’t do it justice. Fortunately for y’all, I’ve selected 10 McMansions out of a million, to prove just how absurd the Garden (more like enormous sea of turf grass) State is.
Because it is so difficult for me to rank these by...rankness, I’ve decided to sort them by the 10 richest counties (in reverse order):
Cape May County
Tumblr media
This post may kill me.
Tumblr media
Rent and utilities would probs be in the thousands for this house, but I wanted to keep the meme format intact so...
Union County
Tumblr media
how i feel looking at that entryway:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“I love being an idiot. In fact, I am proud of my idiocy.” - extremely america person
Burlington County
Tumblr media
there are no pics of the other side of the house. perhaps...there IS no other side...!
Tumblr media
human beings were a mistake.
Sussex County
Tumblr media
why do all of these houses look like they were run through some kind of horribly programmed procedural generator?
Tumblr media
“Romeo! Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo?”
“...”
*crickets*
Mercer County
Tumblr media
a e s t h e t i c ( ? )
Tumblr media
This is one of the sloppiest houses I’ve ever seen. It looks like it’ll crumble and melt at any second!
Speaking of crumbling and melting, that’s what I feel like doing after sifting through five counties worth of sludge. Stay tuned for Sunday’s Looking Around, where we tackle more terms, and PART TWO of the ol’ New Jersey Special. By the way, I’ll be in Chicago for the rest of the week enjoying the ol’ Chicago Architecture Biennial. Come say hi if you’re around!
If you like this post, and want to see more like it, consider supporting me on Patreon!  Also JUST A HEADS UP - I’ve started posting a GOOD HOUSE built since 1980 from the area where I picked this week’s McMansion as bonus content on Patreon!
Not into small donations and sick bonus content? Check out the McMansion Hell Store ! 100% of the proceeds from the McMansion Hell store will go to help victims of Hurricanes Harvey & Irma

Fanbruary day 2 out of ??? (gonna keep this numbering still no commitment)
Today I drew @felidadae OC Diego, I hope I made him justice.
I have followed them from fandom to fandom since the jeanmarco golden years, wow it’s been a few years... And while their art was already awesome back then the way they have improved since has been amazing!
Ok funny story time!
I actually “met” them once! And the quotes on that met are deserved. In the last year (years?) of high school me and a friend we’re obsessed with their art, but for uni i went abroad to study animation. So one random day i’m on the bus and see this person and turn to my friend (different friend totally clueless to all of this) that person there looks a lot like a super cool artist i follow on tumblr, she was like you should totally say something and i was immediately no way, they are probably from the US and I would simply die of embarrassment when it turns out that it wasn’t them. So i didn't do anything... STUPID ME! Fast forward like 2 months and one of my friends from japanese lessons posts a pic of her and her housemates, and as a joke i show this pic to my friend who knew about hachi/felidade “look at this person they look so much like hachi!” and my friend was like “you idiot! that doesn't look like hachi.. That IS hachi!”
So that was a hilarious coincidence, turns out they were going to the arts uni next to mine. Too bad i was too much of a coward to say anything even though i new 3 of their friends/housemates. xD
OK story time over! And if you skipped story time that’s fine but please check out their art! It’s really pretty and you won’t regret it!

Follow Forever time! I actually hit the 100 follower mark about a week ago, but I was very backlogged on checking out new followers due to having a very busy week prior to that, and I didn’t want to unfairly leave anyone out who should have been there. Please enjoy the following love letters to a few of the people who have made my first month here the most special. ❤︎
Tumblr media
Endlessly “Inspiring” ( that’s a pun ) —
@tragicxscarlet – So once upon a time tragicxscarlet was like “do you ship it?” and I was like “I guess?” and then cut to me a week later sobbing over a notepad file titled “An Itemized List of All My ScaReeve Feels.” ( No, I won’t share it. ) Every post from you is a pleasure and you have a unique style of writing that is conversational and forceful and urgent in a way that suits Scarlet so very well. Normally this might earn the dreaded label of “intimidating,” except somehow I feel like writing with you also elevates the quality of my writing in a wonderfully symbiotic way. I know RL claims your time a lot ( and should definitely be the top priority ) so I’m going to pretend I don’t check my notifications half as often as I do in hopes of getting more of this very new fix. Reeve is so very confused right now, and I am looking forward to getting to know Scarlet and all the ways in which we have yet to break each other. ❤︎
@directorlazard – The length of time that it takes me to reply to you really doesn’t do justice to how happy I am to be able to write with you ( which will probably go for most of the people on this list tbh, so everyone else should just pretend I have said this to them as well ). It’s not just your muse that feels “in character” but your whole blog does; I am certain that you are, in fact, Lazard behind the screen, and I can’t tell you how much I admire the role you play not just IC but OOC as well. Writing with you has been a pleasure so far and I am really excited to see how the Wutai War will shape a relationship between these two fledgling directors. No one else has prompted me to put half as much thought into my backstory and headcanons as you have, that’s for sure!
@dcntgiveup – Older Marlene. I could scream forever about this very muse concept tbh but I have already done that a few times before. So I will just say I love that someone else is equally as interested in what was going on with Reeve, Marlene, and Elmyra while the rest of AVALANCHE was off doing their thing, which I guess I have also said before, so instead I will just say this: You’re rly cool and I like your muse a lot. ❤︎
@argent-noir – Tumblr ( or some mod I’ve forgotten I’ve installed ) says you are getting 9% of my love, which apparently puts you in the lead, but that sounds pretty low to me. Tseng is enigmatic and frightening and he makes us a little nervous, so pardon us if we seem to stalk from afar at times. Reeve just wants to get to know him better but isn’t sure if that’s allowed.
@hydraulics-are-sexy – I haven’t yet laughed harder while playing Reeve than I did while writing the two threads with you. I love the idea of Reeve having a friend who he’s comfortable with even while holding this lofty position and I feel like that’s what we’ve established here right off the bat even if it’s never been formally discussed. Normally he’s very polite and political but with Shalua I find him discussing more personal topics and with more sincerity. It’s nice. :] I guess accidental dick pics will do that.
@exsiliumductoris – There are some muses who are so intimidating ( and rightfully so ) that it’s all you can do to remind yourself that the mun has been nothing but friendly and approachable and Veld is definitely one of the two who immediately come to mind as I write this. You play your muse with such an authentic presence though that it’s like “Oh shit, Veld.” Despite all our joking about it, I can definitely say that if Reeve was kissing Scarlet in the same verse that Veld was ever involved with her, he’d be scared out of his mind and possibly seeking some kind of witness protection program. ( But we’re still keeping her. )
@a-chaotic-affair – Lucrecia really deserved so much better and I hope you continue trying to bring her that, because you have so much passion for her and things to say that can only be said by you. And thank you again for the graphic help! Be kind to yourself. ❤︎ I look forward to seeing where we can go but take your time.
@kunselxknows – SON. The way to this man’s heart is through his cat, okay? Is Kunsel a free agent after Meteorfall? Because we might poach him and put him in intelligence gathering or something. He already has a recommendation from Cait Sith.
@jjillekkot – Is anyone sweeter than Nina? Thoughtful with her headcanons and always goes out of her way to include other muses in things. It’s little touches like that that really create a sense of community, and I appreciate that so much. ❤︎
@eteriskromling – The amount of atmosphere and backstory you create for your muse is truly impressive. I’m also still interested in that other idea you expressed a while back. ;] We could have a full boardroom, just saying.
@ablackwing – I may have snuck you in at the last minute here precisely because Sephiroth just poked fun at Reeve’s hair turning gray but tbh that is A++ and worth the inclusion and even if we’ve literally swapped two posts back and forth it definitely made my night the evening that I wrote this, so kudos to you.
@evil-robot-cat – I know you’re not an RP blog so including you here is probably an unconventional move, but how can I not give a shoutout to someone who draws so much Reeve art? Your comics are hilarious and adorable, and every time you like one of my posts I feel like I have a cheerleader rooting for me, so thanks for the support. xD

Trip Report – Santa Fe
The decision was made immediately after Kari-Lise and I got our first dose of the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine back in May. TRAVEL. Travel was calling. Call it a spontaneous trip or revenge travel, we were hungry for the world. Like everyone else, we’d spent last year social distancing and sticking close to home, doing our part to stop the spread. Now, on our way to being fully inoculated and assured we wouldn’t unknowingly spread the virus to others, we craved a change of scenery—something opposite from the verdant mountains of Western Washington. We plotted our vaccine schedule, figured out the timeline, and booked a trip.
It’s been a decade since we visited Santa Fe, and it’s no surprise the city called to us once again. It’s an easy trip in non-pandemic times and was a place we both wanted to revisit. In May we weren’t sure how everything would play out, but we decided to roll the dice and plan for a trip of a few days exploring the town and the surrounding landscape. It was well worth it. Like any instance of travel, I came away feeling invigorated and creatively inspired. After a year at home, it was good to get away, breathe the thin desert air, and visit a place so unlike my daily experience. As the pandemic recedes in here America, everyone is still feeling out public behavior. But even with the mild awkwardness, the results were a trip comprised of fantastic food, incredible art, and surprising exploration.
The Food
It’s not going to be possible to share this trip without hitting on the copious amounts of delicious food we devoured. New Mexico is the land of the chile, and red and green varieties show up in every menu across the state, no matter what cuisine. When ordering, one is often asked if you want red or green chile—you can also opt for both by ordering your meal “Christmas.” (Yeah, it sounded corny the first time I said it as well. But the place is called Santa Fe. *rimshot*) Neither are particularly spicy despite the many warnings for tourists, but both are complex and flavorful. Trying different combos is worth the effort there’s no wrong choice here. Choose what works for you and enjoy.
Standout meals include the tacos from El Chile Toreado (arguably some of the best tacos I’ve ever had). The Short Rib Birria from Paloma, probably the fanciest dining we experienced on the trip. Solid enchiladas from The Shed (a return visit). And a strange little chile dog from the Taos Ale House; a mess to eat but incredibly delicious.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Art
The third-largest art market in the United States is an artery running through the heart of Santa Fe along a street known as Canyon Road. (At this point it has spread well beyond Canyon Road, but posterity likes a metaphor.) The narrow lane is lined with over a hundred art galleries and studio spaces full of a variety of art. Everything from contemporary to traditional art, sculpture to jewelry, couture clothing to leather goods is offered somewhere along the route, and it’s easy to lose yourself for half a day or more.
These wind sculptures were quite relaxing.
Much had changed in the decade since our last visit, as one would suspect. Couple that with a receding pandemic and Canyon Road felt like a place awakening from a long slumber. In some spots, masks were optional for the fully vaccinated. Others were still being cautious and requiring masks and social distancing for all guests. We were happy to oblige and spent many hours wandering through the galleries discussing art and finding new favorites.
The standout for me was discovering the work of Grant Hayunga at his own recently opened gallery. His work varies but what stood out were his mixed media pieces that sat somewhere between paintings and relief sculpture. Made of various materials, calcium carbonate, crushed marble, beeswax, Hayunga creates fascinating pieces that explore humanity and our relationship with nature. My favorite from this series is fur trapper a recent piece from this year. He also creates these stunning neo-traditional landscapes, one of which—2016’s Asleep—enthralled both Kari-Lise and me. It’s all beautiful work, easily my favorite of the whole Canyon Road experience. You all need to buy more books from me so I can get one of his pieces.

Meow Wolf
Canyon Road wasn’t the only artistic experience of the trip. When we last visited Santa Fe, the art collective known as Meow Wolf was still in its infancy. In the decade since our visit, they have experienced significant growth. Their permanent home in Santa Fe is a former-bowling alley funded by some local guy named George R. R. Martin. It sits near the southwestern edge of the city as is home to their first large-scale interactive art experience House of Eternal Return. It’s amazing. The whole thing plays out like an interactive X-Files episode.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I can write a thousand words on what is inside, but it’ll never do it justice. Even photos don’t really capture the magic. You begin outside a modest home oddly enclosed in a warehouse (the reason why is eventually explained). After you pass through the front door (it’s open), you’ll soon discover a rich story told through journals, newspaper articles, videos, and photo albums, pictures on the wall, toys in the bedroom, and much much more. It all ties the family that resided there and their experiences to the surreal worlds you’ll interact with as you move beyond the House itself. I don’t want to go into too much detail on the experience since the House gives back what you bring, and spoilers remove that sense of wonder. (I even consider not sharing pics.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I came away feeling inspired by the whole thing and thought it’d be great to someday recreate a corner of Lovat for readers to explore in person. Will it ever happen? I don’t know. My “Old Haunts” project is a small attempt at capturing some of that, and while I love them, being able to do it in person would be so rich and satisfying. Imagine standing outside Russel & Sons with rain dropping down around you, muffled jazz blaring from somewhere above, and the smell of spicy noodles cooking from a push cart down the street. Rad idea, right?
House of Eternal Return isn’t Meow Wolf’s only project. They have another installation that went live this year, and more experiences are planned for the future (Denver and eventually Washington D.C.). We’re already looking at a trip to Las Vegas for one reason: visit Omega Mart. Think cosmic horror as a grocery store chain, and you’d be on track. (Check out some of their ads.) It all sounds as creepy and weird and wonderful as I’d hope. I am excited to explore its aisles in the future.
New Mexico Highlands
On a whim, we decided to leave Santa Fe behind and head out into the country. We did this a decade ago, heading northwest toward Abiquiú and the Ghost Ranch. This time we headed northeast toward Taos. Early-summer storms were sweeping across the land, and you could watch enormous dark clouds trailing tails of rain and shadow for miles. For some reason, I expected more of the high desert environment like what I saw ten years previous. But the land toward the northeast was very different to that of the west, it rose suddenly. As we left the desert behind, we found ourselves in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Range of the Southern Rocky Mountains. I’ve grown up among the Rocky’s most of my life. But driving north along highway 68 and looking across the vast Taos plateau and seeing the gorge carved by the Rio Grande was utterly breathtaking. I’ve seen deep valleys before, but never one carved in such flat and open land and from such a height. I still find myself reflecting on that view. Seeing the ground opened up that way was like staring into the vastness of time.
Tumblr media
The Río Grande Gorge from the Taos Overlook, off State Road 68 near the “horseshoe.” Photo from the Taos News.
Instead of continuing East across the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge, we decided to loop up into the mountains. We found ourselves in Carson National Forest, taking the High Road to Taos scenic byway back to Santa Fe. This is proper mountain country, think tall trees, deep valleys, tiny communities tucked away into hollows, and vast untouched stretches of forest for miles and miles. It all felt closer to home. Beautiful, but not at all what I anticipated.
So Much More
Santa Fe and the surrounding land can be a bit surreal at times. Modern art and interactive art experiences exist alongside deep history. The Palace of the Governors, erected in 1610, is the oldest public building in continuous use in America. Just down the street is the San Miguel Mission, the oldest church in the United States. Outside of Taos is the Taos Pueblo, the oldest continuously inhabited community in the United States, originating sometime between 1000–1450 A.D. and not discovered by Europeans until the sixteenth century. And that only scratches the surface of what you can find in this small section of the state. This doesn’t even begin to cover other places in New Mexico we were unable to visit, locations like White Sands, Roswell, Carlsbad Caverns, Shiprock, Trinity, the burning of Zozobra, Los Alamos, and so much more. There is a density of wonder here and New Mexico doesn’t hold back and is very much worth your attention.
Advice & Tips
You’re going to want to rent a car, this is big country. That said when in town, be willing to walk. There’s so much to see in Santa Fe, and unexpected places are often found on foot.
Eat everything. Try new dishes. Explore New Mexican cuisine. Fear no chile. Don’t be put off by location. Sometimes the smallest trucks tucked into the quietest corners can have the best tacos.
Scenic byways are your friend in Western States and New Mexico is full of them (High Road to Taos, Turquoise Trail, Santa Fe Trail, among many many others). While slower than major freeways, these routes will give travelers glimpses into a New Mexico easily missed by tourists. The extra time is worth it.
This was my fourth trip into New Mexico, my second to Santa Fe, and easily my favorite of the bunch. Each time I visit, the trips get a little longer, and each time I return I wish I had stayed a few more days. The name “Land of Enchantment” is a fitting one. The terrain there is haunting, rich in history and legend, and it calls to the traveler to take time and explore its wonders.
I’m not going to lie, it’s weird to travel right now, even fully vaccinated. People are rightly nervous, business hours are funky, and what we thought of as “normal” has changed significantly. Traveling at the end of a pandemic requires a lot of patience and copious amounts of kindness and empathy. We’re in a transitional period, and those can be both interesting and weird to navigate. However, it’s still worth it to get away for a time, and allow oneself to experience the world again. It was good to return to New Mexico, and a shame to have waited so long to return. Here’s hoping our next visit comes sooner rather than later.

People who engaged with the arts frequently had a 31 percent lower risk of dying, according to a new study from the British Medical Journal. This was independent of demographic, socioeconomic, health related, behavioral, and social factors. Even those who were infrequent consumers of culture had 14 percent lower risk of dying than shoe who never engaged.
The Journal’s editors observe:”The data show that the very people who have the most to gain from participating in cultural activities are least likely to do so. More than 40% of patients with lung disease, depression, or loneliness reported never engaging with the arts despite robust evidence of the potential benefits. Over 40% of participants in the least wealthy group also reported that they never accessed cultural activities. Work must now be done to ensure that the health benefits of these activities are accessible to those who would benefit most.”
The Week in NY Theater Previews and Reviews
The Sorceress The Sorceress (Di Kishefmakherin), the first work of Yiddish theatre ever presented in America, is back on stage in New York 136 years after its U.S. premiere. In my article for TDF Stages, Yiddish Culture Is Alive and Well and Playing in New York, I talk to Motl and Mikhl, the director of the play and the star, who portrays the wicked witch, Bobe Yakhne, in drag. Though Babe is the villain, she is the title character.
The Sorceress, by the same company that put together the acclaimed “Fiddler on the Roof” in Yiddish, is just one of three events this month that demonstrate a resurgence in interest in Yiddish language and culture.
Luke Kirby as stationmaster Thomas Hudetz in “Judgment Day” at the Park Avenue Armory
Judgment Day with Luke Kirby Luke Kirby, who portrayed a movie star hired to play “Hamlet” in the cult TV comedy “Slings & Arrows” 16 years ago, is now on stage for real, as Thomas Hudetz, a murderer in Ödön von Horváth’s 1937 drama “Judgement Day” at the Park Avenue Armory.
Kirby has lived in New York for some two decades now, but has only appeared in a handful of plays, spending most of his time in television — currently as the real-life comic Lenny Bruce in Amazon’s “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” for which he won an Emmy earlier this year, and as closeted civil servant Gene Goldman on HBO’s “The Deuce.” Why so few stage roles…and why this one now?
Those are the questions I put to him in an interview for TDF Stages.
Ian McKellen as Gus the Theatre Cat in “Cats,” co-written and directed by Tom Hooper.
Cats the movie – pics and reviews Cats” isn’t for everyone – much of it is a cheesy, B-grade affair seemingly crafted solely to take over midnight-movie slots from “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,’ Those with an open mind, though, as well as little kids and the T-Swift posse, might find it somewhat pawesome.” Brian Truitt writes in USA Today, in the most positive review I could find. He’s enchanted by Taylor Swift, but turned off by the “nightmare fuel…when human faces are put on tiny mice and Rockette-esque cockroaches.”
More typical is Manohla Dargis in the New York Times: “It is tough to pinpoint when the kitschapalooza called “Cats” reaches its zenith or its nadir, which are one and the same. The choices are legion…
Sing Street
“Sing Street” is a stage musical based on the sweet, funny “happy-sad” 2016 Irish movie by writer/director John Carney about a teenager named Conor growing up in Dublin during the economically depressed but musically vibrant 1980s, who forms a band to impress a girl name Raphina. The musical has its pleasures, especially for those nostalgic for the era of made-for-MTV, New Wave synthesized tunes. A talented group of young adult actor-musicians, ages 16 to 25, perform mostly original pastiche songs by Carney and Scottish singer-songwriter Gary Clark, who was part of the 80s scene and continues his hit-making now. But “Sing Street” the stage musical is likely to disappoint anybody who has seen “Sing Street” the movie (which is currently available for viewing online, through IMDB TV, for free.)

The problem with teen musicals on Broadway by critic Christian Lewis in American Theatre Magazine.
When it comes to teenagers and Broadway, 2016’s Dear Evan Hansen changed the game. The Tony-winning Pasek and Paul musical was certainly not the first Broadway show about—or beloved by—teens. That credit might go to Spring Awakening (2006) or 13 (2008) or Runaways (1978), or much further back to Babes in Arms (1937), considered the first musical with an entire cast of teenage characters. In the wake of Dear Evan Hansen’s success, Broadway quickly saw a sweep of major productions with teenage protagonists: Mean Girls (2018), Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (2018), The Prom (2018), Choir Boy (2019), Be More Chill (2019), and the latest installation, The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical (2019).
….The genre deserves a larger critique, but not the one critics are making. Yes, Young Adult Theatre can seem angsty, the pop score/lyrics can feel basic and the plots contrived. But the central problem with Dear Evan Hansen, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Be More Chill, and The Lightning Thief is that they’re all about straight, white, cisgender teenage boys. The supporting casts are often diverse, but the main characters don’t deviate from this norm. Not only are these protagonists about as privileged as they come; worse, each of these pieces is about its hero’s search for his identity. Compared to a person of color, a queer person, a transgender person (let alone any intersection of these), how much do Evan, Harry, Jeremy, or Percy have to figure out about themselves?….We need more shows like The Prom or Choir Boy:
The movie is a wreck, the musical is a joke. Why, then, will we always have ‘Cats’?
By Charles McNulty (who doesn’t really answer the question posed in the headline)
“Cats,” Andrew Lloyd Webber’s blockbuster spun from the light verse of T.S. Eliot’s “Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats,” is a paradox and a puzzle illustrating the disconnect between theatrical success and respect. The fourth-longest-running show in Broadway history, it is the consummate tourist musical. (“Broadway’s first show for the tired Japanese businessman,” according to Ken Bloom and Frank Vlastnik’s indispensable “Broadway Musicals: The 101 Greatest Shows of All Time.”)
Theater people resent “Cats” not just because it made Broadway uncool until “Hamilton” finally rescued it from the pop cultural stocks. What really infuriates buffs is that “Cats” ushered in an era of grandiose spectacle, the vacuous parade of shows from the 1980s and early ’90s that made it seem as if a musical had to have a helicopter or a crashing chandelier to be worth the rapidly rising ticket price.
Ed Harris and Kyle Scatliffe, center, in “To Kill A Mockingbird”
Q and A about To Kill A Mockingbird with Aaron Sorkin and Ed Harris, its new Atticus
Aaron Sorkin: How did Harper Lee get away with having a protagonist who doesn’t change? Because Atticus isn’t the protagonist in the book or the movie; Scout is—her flaw is that she’s young, and the change is that she loses some of her innocence. While I wanted to explore Scout, I absolutely wanted Atticus to be a traditional protagonist, so he needed to change and have a flaw … It turned out that Harper Lee had [already] given him one; it’s just that when we all learned the book, it was taught as a virtue. It’s that Atticus believes that goodness can be found in everyone….
Ed Harris: I love the film. I think Peck’s portrayal in terms of that story and that script is just indelible. There are little things that happen on the stage even now, just a head move or something, that feels like Gregory Peck! But the inner life of this man I’m playing is so different [from Peck’s character]. He’s trying to hold on to a belief that’s being eroded slowly but surely. It’s really interesting to play.

Art Installations @ EDC Orlando 2017 (with ANGELZ)
Hey ya’ll, it’s Thursday again.  I’d been trying to figure out what to do with a wide stretch of time during Day 1 of EDC Orlando 2017, for it just all seemed to flow together.  I’ve decided that this bit can stand well on it’s own, even though it’s effectively a bunch of pictures I took of some art installations and live artist creations walking between kineticFIELD, the lockers, and neonGARDEN.  Plus, with only one embedded video, this should work easily in your browsers for once haha.  Enjoy!
Tumblr media
Find this photo on Instagram | Find this photo on Facebook There’s be a distinct lack of “ARTCAR” appearances at EDC Orlando since I’ve been attending (and in my on-going research for each of these posts, apparently missing from every EDC Orlando before this one!), so it was nice to see Insomniac trot out one of the most recognizable ARTCARs for their Orlando debut:  the boomboxARTCAR.  It seemed that this venue was being used as Insominac’s Orlando version of their Upsidedown House that we see at EDC Las Vegas.  What I mean by that is that the lineup didn’t have HUGE names, but still respectable (and with some form of favor with Insomniac, it seems) lineups are always present, and this year was no exception. After dropping off some stuff at the locker, I took this pic, but because there was a lighting effect on the stage, I switched to video:
youtube
YouTube | Facebook | Instagram Sure, I knew some of the names at the boomboxARTCAR this year, but as luck would have it, this clip was recorded during a set of the only person at this venue in 2017 that the guy behind The Big Gay Lion had seen before!  This is ANGELZ, who opened up for Tchami’s Prophecy Tour in 2017 here in Orlando, FL (which was the Prophecy Tour’s first date, actually!).  He probably won’t be found on any handbills or posters, however, for the guy behind The Big Gay Lion told me he was a last minute replacement for Mercer (who had to bow out of that night’s performance for a personal emergency of some sort).  Turns out ANGELZ actually did pretty good during that support performance, from what I’m told!  It was good to see him for a short while here, dropping one of his own tracks none the less.  The area was a good size, as you can see when I pan right.  Those purple lights on the row of tents?  That’s the new South Entrance for EDC Orlando 2017.  I hope they bring it back for EDC Orlando 2018, for it was super quick to get into the festival! ANGELZ - Countin’ 100s https://soundcloud.com/angelzofficial/imcountin100s
Tumblr media
Find this photo on Instagram | Find this photo on Facebook As you can see, I’m pretty much standing in the same spot as the video above, but whether I’m walking or standing still, it doesn’t seem to matter:  someone will want a picture with me!  Anyone wearing rainbow colors is automatically stunning in my book, and wearing next to nothing makes them a headliner after my own big gay heart!  No social media line on this lady, however!
Tumblr media
Find this photo on Instagram | Find this photo on Facebook This was special.  This was a very large, brightly-colored mural that I was feeling particularly spectacular in front of.  While taking this pic (a few blurry versions came about before this one), I was told to not back into the mural.  I thought that was a weird direction from the husband of the guy behind The Big Gay Lion and the other two gentleman in matching shirts, but as it turns out they had just painted this.  Not only that, they were STILL painting it.  This was a work-in-progress, being painted RIGHT NOW (er, “then”, since this is #ThrowbackThursday after all!), and they weren’t done with it yet.  Holy crap, how cool is that!  Super nice guys too, they chatted with the husband of the guy behind The Big Gay Lion for a while after photo time was done.  Seeing the creative process in work like this is just amazing to me.  It might be why I love EDC Orlando so much.  So many things coming together to create one presentation that’s executed beautifully so many times over, again and again.
Tumblr media
Find this photo on Instagram | Find this photo on Facebook Here are the two artists I got to talk to!  Pretty sure Golden (that’s the guy on the left, while Ubiera is on the right) took this pic or the husband of the guy behind The Big Gay Lion took it with Golden’s phone, but these two dudes (of the three dudes total, it seems!) were ACTIVELY painting that stunning mural behind us.  Absolutely magnificent.  You can see the finished version of the Day 1 mural (that’s right, they did a whole NEW one the for Day 2) posted on Instagram here.  Would you look at all the extra stuff they added (hint:  look below my outstretched arms to compare)?  Amazing!  If you like that, make sure you check out Golden on Instagram, as well as Ubiera on Instagram!
Tumblr media
Find this photo on Instagram | Find this photo on Facebook Oh, and here’s their butts!  These guys were absolutely ones I wanted to tag in the future, when I got around to posting their stuff on #ThrowbackThursday, so I took this pic of their custom shirts so I could absolutely remember their social media handles haha
Tumblr media
Find this photo on Instagram | Find this photo on Facebook This art installation always seems to show up in the same place, including 2017.  I really love it, even though it might not have a lot of excitement to it.  I believe EDC Las Vegas gets a few of these, and some might even have acrobats hanging underneath them.  But, this is what EDC Orlando gets, and it’s still pretty cool!
Tumblr media
Find this photo on Instagram | Find this photo on Facebook I realized I’m standing on Electric Avenue at this point, so I turned to the south (right), and decided I couldn’t get a shot of the LED trees and this art installation in the same frame.  So I walked a little bit closer to the pond next to McCracken Field (which is technically where the boomboxARTCAR is located.  I might have made this distinction before, but Tinker Field only covers the area around kineticFIELD.  Trivia!) and managed to get this shot.  It gives you the idea that when you go to EDC Orlando (and likely any Insomniac event), there’s something beautiful to look at almost everywhere you turn!
Tumblr media

And that’s where I’m cutting it!  I did a lot of walking around and visiting sets in 2017, so sometimes it’s difficult to know where I should draw lines to encompass moments in time into interesting (and cohesive) posts.  Hopefully I did this one justice.  Love ya’ll, see ya next time! 🏳️‍🌈🦁❤
