Shylight

New AU OC! This is Shylight, a fusion between Fluttershy and Twilight!

A powerful bonding spell that Twilight was working on went horrible wrong. The alchemy focus started to explode, and Twilight leapt in the way of her lab assistant, Fluttershy.

The pair were fused, creating a new entity named Shylight.

As the notes for the spell were destroyed during the mishap, there is no known way to defuse them. But would defusing them kill this new creature? Her wings are small and can't carry much weight, and her horn is shattered, causing what magic she can use to be wild and unpredictable.

Small Au things/headcanons that can't really fit into one prompt by themselves-

Earth ponies come in four main sub types. Ones better at plant, fungus, and animal life magics. Ones better at rock, crystal/gem, and mineral magics. Night dwelling and Day dwelling ones.

Earth ponies can eat rocks, this is canon I think

Earth ponies are omnivores, although not to the extent that Pegasus and unicorns are. They farm animals for leather, eggs, wool, and honey. They can eat bones and it's marrow, but aren't able to eat meat safely. They sell or trade what they can't eat to others who can.

There are multiple sub types of Pegasus. Day dwelling and nocturnal. Those best at dangerous weather, wind and thunder/lightning magics, and speed. Those best at gliding, cloud and rainbow creation, and calmer weather. Those best at swimming, water animal life, and water and ice based magics.

Pegasus are omnivores, they can eat fish, bugs, and other animals that they are strong enough to take down in battle. They enjoy fishing and other types of hunting.

There is many different types of unicorn. Day dwelling and nocturnal. And any elements that magic can form into basically. Although some are rarer than others. And some are usually ever seen in deities, Chaos, sun, lunar, love, and harmony being examples. Although Sunset Shimmer is an exception to the rule, being solar aligned, the only known mortal to be so. Twilight was a rare case of a pure magic alignment when she was mortal.

Unicorns are omnivores. Due to the more active instead of passive way they use their magic, they burn it at a much faster pace. They need to eat a lot more than you would expect. High calorie foods are preferred and common. You will often see traveling Unicorn with a pack full of energy bars and in Twilight's case homemade potions that might as well be extremely potent energy drinks. (Twilight would use five hour energy, i am certain)

Many unicorns love fast food because of it being high calorie and also tasting good. Many unicorns don't like admitting this. The Sparkle family is a rare case of a noble family not caring about eating fast food publicly

There is a reason why you see deities eat mostly high calorie foods like sweets and fast food. It is a similar reason why unicorns need higher calorie foods but amplified by like 100.

Beetle Brazencrest - Somnian Cannibal and Professional Marestale

Beetle is a cannibal. Nopony really knows how or why he chose the path he did for his life, but it is absolutely safe to say he is a popular spooky Mare’s Tale told to Unicorn foals and fillies in attempt to keep them from wondering too far outside of the Capitol City walls. Beetle is known to both resurrect and commune with the dead, alongside eating them. He is advanced in the art of Necromancy, but as you may have already guessed, nothing of the dark arcane arts comes without a physical toll. Beetle discovered his cannibalistic tendencies when he carved off his own cutiemark in a fit of both disgust and hunger when left in the wilderness by his parents as a result of his dabbling in Major Necromancy and later Somnia transformation. By eating his own flesh he unlocked a strange craving that he, and some other ponyfolk share. Beetle now owns his own restaurant in the heart of the Somnia Republic for those of you brave enough to visit and grab a bite before the bite gets you. Beetle can be found stalking the perimeter of the Capitol City, slinking through dark alleyways in the shadows, looking for “ingredients.” Watch your back, you might just be what he serves up next.

🌥️ Rainbow Factory Infection AU🌥️

Hello everypony!! Ive been loving the infection stuff and wanted to jump onto the trend myself with an AU that came to me very suddenly. I'm gonna try and get all my thoughts out here:

☁️ Scootaloo fails her flying assessment by getting disqualified for checking on her injured friend who had crashed during their turn. The two of them get taken to the Rainbow Factory as a punishment for their failure, and quickly realize the deadly situation they're in.

🌈 There are few dozen pegasi there already. All of their wings have been torn off of them, their cutiemarks are branded over, and chains are fastened around either their legs or neck. They all seem so... dull. As if the color has been stolen from them.

☁️ Rainbow Dash enters to examine the new sacrifices, and is mortified when she sees Scootaloo. She had trained her every day to prevent this from happening; she never wanted the pony she thought of as a little sister to end up here. Dash had to quickly decide if she was more loyal to her career, or to her friends.

🌈 She chooses Scootaloo. This does not go over well. Whether you enter the Rainbow Factory as a prisoner or an employee, you were not allowed to leave until you died. Rainbow Dash grabs Scootaloo and attempts to flee with her.

☁️ A chase ensues. She realizes that even if they do escape, they wouldn't be free. They would be hunted for as long as the factory existed. The answer suddenly seems obvious. Dash veers away from the exit and heads deeper into the building, straight for the core.

🌈 Because of her high status in the company (and a lot of kicking), Rainbow Dash gets into the restricted access room and corrupts the core, sparking a reactor meltdown. Her and Scootaloo manage to escape seconds before the core collapses, and the Rainbow Factory is lost to the rainbows it created.

☁️ Not long after, ponies begin to emerge from the ruins. Well, they seem to still be ponies. Mostly ponies. The Inital Victims. The pegasi who had been deemed useless and dispensable in one way or another, and had been put through torture for weeks or months in order to drain them of their very magic and soul.

🌈 The Victims seem to have a symbiotic relationship with the Rainbow Infection in their body. They live just out of reach of death; gaunt and hollow, yet somehow surviving. Blind, weak, and terrified, they seem to believe they're still trapped in the factory, and will viciously maul any living being they sense with a newfound strength. So far, they don't seem to be curable, or killable.

☁️ The Infected pegasi have a much more unpleasant experience. Every waking moment is nothing but agony as the infection consumes their magic and feast on their vessel, reducing them to nothing more than another fluffy white cloud looming in the sky.

🌈 The Infected aren't hostile, and seem to still be lucid up until their death. However, they are incredibly contagious, and the final stage of the infection seems to be designed specifically to further the disease.

☁️ Unicorns and Earth ponies are completely immune to the Rainbow Infection. Alicorns are not. The princess's have been barricaded in Celestia's castle to protect them all.

🌈 Without any pegasi to moderate the weather, it has become increasingly unpredictable and harsh, making typical farm work almost impossible. The Survivors are getting low on rations, and they're getting desperate and hungry.

I think thats about it. Idk at the time of writing this its 3am lol.

Nixe Nahla!

I based her off of the Kelpies, sea ponies and the sirens. She’s kinda an amalgamation of all pretty much. I do imagine her as Minti’s girlfriend, but idk, we’ll see.

I think it’ll be interesting to kinda bring the ocean/sea into the story!

Whimsy's Fate is an MLP au with little to no connection to the actual show! We have new species UNIQUE to the au and an in-depth amount of worldbuilding and lore. We have a wiki and a server! We plan to write out the main plot following the story of the Mane 9, but we also have so much room for creativity outside that main plot where you can really run wild!
