It's so cool having everyone in the AVA/AVM fandom have a different voice for characters because they're all voiceless (if they have dialogue at all). But they all fit the character! I've never been like "He would NOT fucking say that" in this fandom honestly.

I am incredibly attached to fantasy/magic/supernatural AU’s tbh. It’s been so long since I’ve read a good supernatural-y fic and I miss it.

Vampire England is a classic choice and I love it tbh, it fits him so wellll. Though I also love him having magic (and unless it’s a world where magic is apart of a vampire powers, then I don’t really think they should have it… lol I think about this too much- I like the idea of him being a mage or something before he got turned and he’s still upset about it.)

Prussia’s such a mixed bag though. I’ve read fics were he’s a vampire, werewolf, zombie ect, and honestly they all work for him lowkey. (I kinda fuck with him being some kind of monster hunter though, or he was one before he was turned into something else. And I like the idea of him being a very bloodthirsty hunter but finding baby werewolf Germany and doing a 180. I also thjnk that he’d especially hate being a vampire though, I don’t think he’d fuck with being unable to go outside because the sun is out- the sun can’t tell him what to do.)

And America is a werewolf. I don’t make the rules, it’s great for him. Though I genuinely would not turn down any portrayal tbh. (I remember reading one multichapter fic where he was a vampire which I think was interesting? Though I also remember the more I read it, the more insane the plot got lmao. I can’t remember how much I enjoyed it by the end, but I remember it so 🤷‍♀️ I’ve read a fair chunk of vampire America usuk fics to be honest. Idk if I can remember any specific werewolf ones, I remember a one shot but I think that’s it… werewolf fics tend to just be smut if I’m remembering right- but it’s been a while man idk. I also like him having magic lowkey, but less in the controlled, knows magic theories type way and more in the he’s got a natural talent for it. Man that fic where Alfred became Arthur’s apprentice was on to something- I feel like there was more than one but I might be lying.)

-as soon as someone is asked to help out with the Bastard München team, you're the first one to accept that. Every single time

-you don't realize it at first, but you like helping out there so much because of Ness. You always hope for him to ask you for help or just talk to you in general

-outside of working hours, you always try to spend your evening with the Bastard München team. You usually drag either Claire or Mao along

-it doesn't take long until you get jealous of Kaiser. And it shows. Your voice always has some passive-aggressive undertones when you talk to him

-Claire and Mao pick up on that, so they ask you why that is. They actually just want to shittalk about Kaiser for a bit, but the more you tell them the more you realize you dislike Kaiser because you're jealous of how much Ness admires him. And then you realize you have a crush on Ness

-you kind of feel like a hopeless romantic. From the way Ness always talks about Kaiser, you believe there must be some stronger feelings going on

-but!! Claire and Mao are your besties. They're hyping you up (especially Mao) and they're helping you to find ways to spend even more time with Ness

-Mao has made it their second job to get Ness to fall back for you

-at this point, you almost exclusively help out at the Bastard München team. You're barely seen around the other teams

-Ness enjoys your company a lot. He notices you see him as an equal to yourself, which is something he's really not used to from Kaiser

-Ness feels so safe around you, he starts calling you his best friend very quickly

-you try to not make your crush on him so obvious, but whenever he hugs you, your blush a lot because feeling his soft hands on you just makes your heart melt

-you find him with his bloody lip after he gets so frustrated because of Kaiser. You take him to your room (Claire and Mao are currently spending time with the Ubers team) and you comfort Ness

-you let him vent as much as he needs to, and somehow it ends with the both of you cuddling on your bed. And that's when you confess your feelings to him

-you really made his evening go from horrible to amazing. He almost can't process your love confession, but he's very happy to become your boyfriend!

-Ness is the sweetest boyfriend ever. He loves you so so so much and he tells you how much he loves you over and over. Expect lots of compliments from him!!

-although, that starts making Kaiser jealous. All the attention Ness put on him before is now going towards you. But you don't care if it makes Kaiser feel bad, all you care about is making your boyfriend happy

He is 10 years older than her but nothing starts with them until after the Linzin breakup so Lin’s like 33 ish he’s 43, long after she’s established in the RCPD and Toph and Su are gone.

Bumi wasn’t a violent man towards family and friends but the next time Bumi was in port after he heard what Tenzin did to Lin. Dropping her for Pema. (And expecting a kid within a year of breaking up with Lin) he decked Tenzin in front of Pema and the other air acolytes on ATI. Dropping Tenzin like a sack of bricks to the stone. “That’s for Linny.” He all but spat at the dazed Tenzin.

They write a lot. A LOT a lot. Lin receives several letters at the same time because Bumi has to mail them all at the same port after a while at sea. She saves every one of them but she would never admit it and Bumi assumes she tosses them but they’re hidden under a stone in her house. Lin doesn’t write as often to him as it usually ends up at the wrong port for him to be able to collect it.

They’re actually married but NO ONE KNOWS because Lin won’t wear a ring when she’s at work and no one can catch her when she’s not at work and Bumi doesn’t feel the need to tell anyone if they haven’t figured it out yet (*cough* Tenzin being oblivious)

One time Korra catches Bumi kissing Lin while they think no one was around at ATI and she was shoook

Bumi didn’t get any updates on what happened after Amon until it was weeks after everyone was at Katara’s house and as soon as he heard about it he couldn’t get there fast enough and no one dared tell Commander Bumi II that he couldn’t leave his assignment to get to his wife after what they heard happened.

Lin was in such bad state omg all the other hc injuries and nightmares but she was so pale and sickly thin when he got to her. He pulled her close to him and Lin just breaks down crying and apologizing over and over. (The night terror / comfort ficsssss please I beg)

When Bumi gets his airbending Lin grows distant a bit not really a huge fan of the new development but not discouraging him from his excitement. They do eventually talk it out but that’s kinda post series.

Bumi frantically digging through the wreckage of Kuvira’s mech to find Lin. (A Fog Au where Lin and Su are thrown into the spirit world by the explosion and Lin gets lost in the fog of lost souls- I think I have a few of those posts somewhere still)

Bumi joking that Mako/Rina(oc) or Bolin/Opal need to give him and Lin grankids soon because he’s retired and his niblings are growing up and finding other things to spend their time on than joking around with uncle Bumi.

Bumi loves making Lin smile and always manages to get a smirk at least as he’s goofing off in company. Sometimes he gets a chuckle and his week is made. Nothing can beat his Linny smiling and laughing.
