Entrapdak Positivity Month Day 27: Flowers

There's a star burning / somewhere in the sky above the earth / where flowers do not grow

Happy (belated) Birthday to my special boy <333 ----------------------------------------------------- (Each type of flowers represents both the giver and Hordak himself)

Forget-me-nots (Entrapta) - Flower of remembrance and devotion. Flower of undying love, precious memories and eternal bond, strong and unbreakable even during lingering separation

Aster flowers (the alliance, but it was Adora's idea) - The star flower. Flower of faith. Protection from any troubles and misfortunes. Sometimes the message behind such gift means: "I wish it was different, I'm sorry it went like this" or "Take care of yourself for me"

Cornflowers (Imp) - Loyalty and trust. Also being a symbol of impermanence (since cornflowers come in variety of colors) this flower shows the fun and joyful aspect of change

Dandelions (Kadroh) - Happiness and joy. Hope, growth, healing. Transience of time. The message behing the gift can mean: "I'm happy we can share these moments together" or "I'm happy that we get to heal together"

Red poppy flowers - just a reference to one lil comic. Just a gift from big brother. Just because they reminded him of Hordak's eyes ;)))

White daffodils (clone brothers) - rebirth, new beginnings. They represent the process of self-discovery through inner reflection and self-observation. Being the first flowers to bloom in spring daffodils triumph over gloom, numbness and detachment of winter sleep and death

Entrapdak Zine 6 - Festive. Submissions OPEN!

Apologies for the delay in getting this open Please feel free to check out the Entrapdak Secret Santa event I’m also running at the moment (links are in my pinned post)

Anyway this is the post for Entrapdak Zine 6 - Festive!

The deadline for this will be Friday DEC 1st 2021 at 9AM GMT. What’s that in your timezone? Click here for a Handy Dandy Countdown:

I am flexible on this Deadline so anything that arrives on this date or by my 9am the next day is allowed (I’m in the GMT timezone BTW)

I am LESS flexible on the Extension Deadline

The Zine will be out before Christmas. The actual date is flexible and dependant on when all the Submissions come in and my own personal work schedule.

So most of this is the same as the last few - really if it ain’t broke don’t fit it! Also a polite reminder I am only one person running this and I am a part time Barista. It may take me a little time to reply to emails/comments especially after the deadline time (when I have the most amount of work to do on this project) so please be patient with me.

Our basic guidelines are the same as before, with just a few minor updates:

This will be:

A Digital Zine containing content created by the fans for the fans

A 100% Free Zine

Preferred Language is English

SFW content suitable for a Y7-PG13 age range (same as the show’s age rating)

You may notice I run this different to other zines as there is no sign up period, just submit work before the deadline - I’d rather people have more time to work on their pieces

Anyone can submit regardless of age or skill level - this is not a job application - just follow the guidelines and email in your work

Submission can be Fan Writing (poems, fan fiction, character analysis, eassys etc), Fan Art, or even photos of your Entrapdak IRL content (cosplays, fancrafts etc)! You can submit an older work that you have published online previously if you wish - or even update a work you submitted to the last Zine! Just have fun!

Guidelines applicable to all work:

Like the show this Zine will contain content rated Y7 and PG13 rated - so please no swearing

There WILL BE NO NSFW or 18+ content - where possible let’s keep this suitable for all ages please

Sub note on character minimum clothing requirements:

for male presenting characters to be speedos/underpants

for female presenting characters to be a bikini/bra and underpants

if not sure please use the female presenting criteria

This issue’s theme if you wish to use it is:

“Festive”

This theme is a suggestion and if you’d rather make an Entrapdak piece without this theme please feel free to do so. I want you to have fun!

Allowed Characters:

As long as both Entrapta and Hordak are the main focus and the piece follows Age Rating it will be allowed.

Other allowed characters in the Entrapdak family include Emily, Imp and the Clones (also known as Spacebats)…yes weirdly this also includes Horde Prime.

Other She-Ra characters will be allowed but Entrapdak is to be the core element.

Phew that’s a lotta text sorry about that - now on to the fun stuff! What sort of stuff is allowed?

Sex Swap AU, Species Swap AU, Furry AU, Toony AU, Anime AU, Fankid AU, Coffee Shop AU, married AU, Spacebat AU, just besties AU just to name the few that pop into my head! Oh yeah Canon Lab Partners Entrapdak too…hehe nearly forgot about that one XD. Make something Entrapdak related that’s PG13 rated and have fun!!

Fan Writing guidelines:

This includes fan fiction, analysis eassys, poetry or whatever else you’d like to write about. I would ask this content to be between 1k-10k words in length, it’s not a big deal if the writing is over 10k or even if it’s 20k - write whatever your story needs. If you’d like to write Chapters then please do!

Written work can be emailed in the body of text, sent as pdf attachment or as a link to a Google Doc - I can work with any of those.

Please include you name/username somewhere as it helps. If there’s no name on the piece I’ll add one at the start with the title.

Fan Art guidelines:

Fan art can include rough sketches, screencap redraws, comics (appox 1-10 pages length), coloured sketches or full colour pieces.

Fan art can be in the digital or traditional medium.

Traditional fan art can either be submitted as a photo or scanned, which ever you prefer.

Preferred sizing for Digital art is as follows, my aim to to have everything on International (UK) A4 paper sizing where possible*

PNG is preferred but I will understand if you only wish to send a workable JPEG

The aspect ratio (width:height) of A4 paper is 1:1.4142 (1:√2)

Notes:

*Images outside these sizings are still okay but may end up with a white border on the edges due to the PDF publishing settings.

**Images in the landscape layout will get boarders when posted on a portrait page due to the PDF publishing settings, however if I receive landscape art I will make some extra pages at the end of the Zine and attempt to turn landscape art into a two page spread (which does look awesome!).

Please make sure to include your Social Media contacts and which name or username you wish to be identified by. If you forget to include social media details and have been a part of a previous Zine I’ll use the details I have on file

I will reply to confirm I have received the content and that’s it I take care of the rest!

Please note I DO NOT KEEP any records of anyone’s email addresses. When the Zine is out I batch delete all emails sent to the email address (this is usually done a week after the Zine is out) and I keep no further records of these address. I respect your email privacy at all times.

The only records I keep on Zine applications is a private Google Sheet that has the following details: Submitter’s name, rough description of the item submitted and their social media contacts. I’m the only person with access to this Google Sheet as I use this as a Master List reference when compiling the Zine

Why no Application form?

I don’t want anyone to feel like they are applying for a job here, this is supposed to be fun.

Will there be Guest Artists or Guest Writers?

If they apply sure, I’m not advertising who applies to be a part of this Zine until it’s ready to be published. I don’t want anyone to feel intimidated just because a certain person has chosen to participate.

Can I submit more than one piece?

If you’d like to certainly! If you’d like to submit up to three pieces of art and 3 fan writings, sure go for it! I’m certainly not going to stop anyone having a good time

May I post a preview of my work to my Followers?

Sure! Bonus points if you link them to this post so that they can take part if they wish

May I post my work online?

I would ask if you could please wait until the issue featuring your work is published. Of course this does not apply if you are chosen to submit and older work - in this case may I ask that you edit or add to said post to mention the work was also used in the Zine?

Is this only for people with a [insert certain social media account here]?

Nope, this is for anyone who wants to take part. I only ask for a social media contact so that others who like you work for the Zine may follow you on your preferred social media platform.

Can I send an update to a piece?

Of course! Just let me know which piece you want to use and I’ll update on my end

Can I send another piece on later?

Of course that’s not a problem!

Ah I can’t get this done before the deadline - it’s almost ready!!! I need another day!!!!

Contact me, either through the submitting email over via my Tumblr or Twitter DMs or just emailing the email address. There is extra time allowed for an extension for anyone who needs it with no questions asked to why it is needed. Just get in contact, I'll put you name on the Extension List and that extra time is yours. Once all names come in (or the deadline is reached) I will finish up my work and get the zine out. I will not be sending out a further reminder (because I’ll forget sorry 😅).

Why don’t you make the Extension time public?

Because I can’t finish up the Zine if extra stuff comes in at the last second - I get jittery enough with final deadlines so this is how I manage my stress

Quickstart Guide to getting into the She-Ra and the Princesses of Power fandom on Tumblr

(Maybe someone has made one of these already but i am behind because of NaNoWriMo so I am making my own because I do what I want.)

Welcome to Tumblr, new or returning user! It's lovely here and the SPOP fandom is still quite active. Here's a quickie guide on how to become a part of it!

Finding content

Confusingly, this fandom uses three main tags: SPOP, She Ra, SheRa (Tumblr ignores case as well as the - in She-Ra so using She-Ra is effectively exactly the same as using just She Ra or she ra). Then there are tags for individual ships (some of the most popular ones are Catradora, Entrapdak, Glimbow, Seamista, Scorfuma etc).

To find content, search for either one of the main fandom tags (spop, shera, she ra) or the tag for your favorite character or ship. They'll be a big blue follow button under the tag you can press so that Tumblr will automatically pepper new posts from your followed tags into your dash.

Then, while you're looking at the search results, take note of who's posting stuff you like and start to follow the people whose posts you dig so they'll appear on your dash. (Understand that some blogs are side blogs so the blog that you followed and the one that follows you back or likes your stuff may have completely different names because one is the side blog and one is the main.)

Looking for something niche? Try a combo of terms! (Tumblr recently changed things so you can search within post content AND tags. So if you're getting, say, Hunger Games and My Little Pony results while trying to search for Glimmer, try searching for Glimmer SPOP instead to narrow the results down.)

Just remember that search results and tag results are different things! Search results show all posts with those terms anywhere in the post while tag results are literally only posts tagged with that exact phrase.

Sharing your content

When posting, make sure you tag your content in the tag field at the bottom of the posting form, each tag separately. As you start to type, the site will helpfully suggest popular tags to get your started. Unlike on other sites, you CAN have spaces in your tags (so it's Best Friend Squad not BestFriendSquad). No need to add the hashtag, Tumblr will do that for you after you hit submit.

At the least, you'll want to include the base fandom tags (spop, shera, she ra) and then any ships or characters in your post (Catra, Adora, Entrapta, etc). Other tags it might be helpful to add are any triggers, descriptors like fanart, fanfic, meta, incorrect quotes, etc or something for your own blog organization (like "my art" or "fics by me"). In yee olden days of Tumblr, you had to do things like make "Catradora fanart" or "shera catra" a tag (and some people still do this out of habit) but the way Tumblr has changed search, if you just make Catradora and fanart separate tags, it will show for anyone who searches for both.

Making Friends and Followers: Reblog and interact!

Tumblr lets you be as social (or not!) as you want. The reason the site is called Tumblr is posts get tossed around and around with other users adding tags and notes that (in theory anyway) make it better and get you more engagement: like a rock tumbler making dirty rocks all shiny. There are a million posts already on here that say this but I'm going to say it again: Likes do nothing. They are basically bookmarks. The way to connect with people on here and to keep the fandom alive is to reblog content and, if you want, add comments or tags.

See a cool headcanon? Reblog and add your thoughts! Someone posts a fanfic idea? Reblog and let them know how excited you'd be to read that! Every post on Tumblr is a collaboration and reblogs are how you pass posts around and support the content creators.

If people don't want you to interact with their posts, they will turn reblogging off so you never have to worry that your commentary isn't welcome. Reblogging your own stuff with commentary is a great way to get more engagement on it (say reblogging your fanart a few days after you posted it with some behind the scenes trivia about what gave you the idea for it or what brushes you used or reblogging to add some of your favorite reader comments from your fanfic).

Reblog the stuff you like and if you really like it? Reblog it now and queue it up to post again later. Reblog your own stuff multiple times. Don't worry about being annoying, that is 100% the culture on here so you'll fit right in. There's no algorithm so your blog is less like a book people will read in order and more like a TV channel: not everyone is watching at the same time so reruns let people catch the stuff they missed.

The more often you post about something, the more likely you are to find others who are into the same thing you are and that will help you find your happy little corner of Tumblr where you can thrive.

Discourse and drama

There is, blissfully, far less discourse and drama on here than other platforms but blocking on Tumblr is secret so feel free to block with wild abandon and no one will ever know. Want to be a little hater yourself? Know that it's a major faux pas to put ship or character hate in the tags. So if you really hate Melog, and you tag your anti-space kitty screed "anti Melog"... just know that everyone who searches for Melog will see that post unless they have specifically blocked the tag "anti melog" because Tumblr search includes tags. If you want to drink your haterade in peace, don't use the main fandom tags on anti posts and tag it as "discourse" or "drama," two commonly blocked tags. If you are a messy bitch who loves drama and WANT the people who love the character or ship to see your Big Angry Fandom Feels... just don't be surprised when the people who do love the characters or ship you are hating on interact with your posts or block you. And, on the other side, blocking the haters is as easy as blocking the users themselves or the hater tags (examples: "anti spinnerella" or "anti swift wind").

Which is all to say, be a little hater if you want but Tumblr is very much an f around and find out kind of platform so choose your experience wisely. And don't be surprised if people choose to block.

Which brings up a very important thing we're already seeing play out with new users: if you are used to a site with an algorithm such as TikTok or Twitter, you probably didn't realize how much it was coddling your fandom experience by specifically showing you posts it knows you'll agree with. Now that you're on a site with no algorithm, you're free from the insular feedback loop that you were in before and many of you are realizing that what you took to be popular takes are actually fringe opinions. It's jarring to realize you've been duped but you should be directing your anger at the platform that manipulated you, not your fellow fans who haven't been brainwashed into believing whatever you swallowed.

Other cool stuff

Download the xkit desktop browser extension for some extra features that make Tumblr even easier to use

Your blog has a queue which lets you stock up posts that Tumblr will release for you on a schedule of your choosing. VERY useful for when you go on a spree and want to reblog a billion things in a row but don't want to completely take over your followers dash. Throw all those posts in your queue and your blog will look active for days to months without you having to do anything. (This is actually the only way I blog, almost everything you see on my blog was queue up in advance)

Open up asks for art or fic prompts, questions or other conversation starters (You can block any annoying askers, even if they are anonymous!)

Schedule posts in advance such as for your favorite character's birthday or holiday / date specific stuff

tags are for visibility... but they are also for chatting and commentary? it's weird but you'll get used to it

there's no visible follower count so we're all pretty much on equal footing no matter how many followers you have

dates are hard to find on posts by design! posts never expire and old post make the rounds again all the time. It's NEVER "creepy" to go through someone's blog and like or reblog a billion old posts but every much encouraged. In fact, going through old posts to fill your queue is a great way to not only give yourself content but also give a blog you love new life!

I HAVE A BUSINESS PROPOSAL! AKA a fanfic idea.

Please think about this.

An AU where Prime doesn't exist.

Therefore, the clone's original culture and species are still preserved, and Etheria is also a part of the wider galaxy. Also, Hordak is alive, because I can. PLEASE READ THE STUFF BELOW THE POLL BEFORE DECIDING!

The general plot would be this:

After spending years trying to peacefully convince the Eternians Etheria should be its own planet separate from the greater Eternian empire, the Alliance finally decides that fighting them is the only way out of their oppression. However, their armies are a speck of dust in comparison to Eternia's forces. Out of options, they ask the help of the *insert name here* empire's help in hopes they aid them in their freedom. Teaming up with the crown prince's army, the Alliance must face down against the Eternian army and their greatest warrior: She-Ra.

More stuff about the fic:

The culture is rich in magic (a juxtaposition to Horde Prime's views). Magic is very sacred, connected to nature, and is an integral part of their lives. Everyone possesses different skills in magic. Some can terraform the earth, and others can manipulate the wind. The rarest of all is the ability to directly manipulate the magic itself without having to channel it through anything. These wielders often become priests or advisors. Another form of magic is when you take the magic out of something to use for your own benefit. It's not forbidden, just not recommended, because taking the magic/ life from something takes life away from the wielder. AKA shortening their lifespan. This form is only really used in an emergency or when you REALLY want to curse someone.

Also, since the horde was never an issue, Etheia was just a colony. Therefore, Adora was raised knowing she is an Ethernian and She-Ra. She also has a pixie cut because I said so.

Now what about Hordak? In this fic, he is the prince who is destined to take the throne once his father dies. In the meantime, he resides in the army as their general. He still has an overall grumpy personality and a lack of social skills after spending ten years in the military. His abilities are in weather manipulation, along with the ability to wield all the components (lightning, wind, mist, clouds, etc.); furthermore, he has the ability to turn into lighting, which he uses for fast travel or a speedy getaway. He is also an uncle to his twin sister's kids (who he has a soft spot for). Also, he still has his eyeliner (it's a canon event). Also, there is Entrapdak (how could I not include my otp?).

My only problem is I have no inspiration for names. I have no idea what to name the empire or what to name most of the characters. If you have name suggestions, please drop them in a comment or a tag.

27: Besides science, what are Entrapta and Hordak’s other hobbies?

Ooh, this is a fun one. For Entrapta, I think collecting/making things that are tiny and cute would be one of her non-science interests. Tiny erasers that look like sweets, little mini dioramas to decorate the bookshelves, stuff like that. I’d really like her to get into mini train sets or those elaborate tiny holiday villages. Every mini figurine has its own name and backstory that exists purely to delight Entrapta.

For Hordak, I think activities that are physical but not strenuous would be good for him. Stuff like swimming or yoga or light workouts, with or without his armor. It’d be fun if there was a sports league developed for the clones to have a healthy, controlled outlet for their teamwork skills and competitive spirit.

One of my Entrapdak kids is a mage who tries to grow her own plant-based spell components, Hordak doesn’t know much about magic but takes up extreme gardening to help her and actually enjoys it.

That depends!

I admittedly haven't read a whole lot of bg3 fic, but like I mentioned in the last ask, I religiously read cheerysmores's stuff. I particularly like their Gale/Tav stuff--and it might be my Leo tendencies, but I can't help but LOVE this fic based on this piece I did 🤭 but seriously, any of their writing is tops. Their characterization of Gale is so. Good. And a lot of people seem to misunderstand him so it goes a long way for me (a trend you'll probably see in most of the following recs tbqh)

If you're into like the Hunger Games which I've been reading, I love Roses and Pearls which is an everlark au. Really really good!

Ik I have some entrapdak fans that follow me, and there are SO MANY good entrapdak fics on ao3 that I'm having a hard time narrowing it down, but if I HAD to give specifics, Sweet Raptured Light by Mazen SO GOOD. If one-shots are more your style (when I'm in a fic mood, I typically binge, so that's why a few of these are multichapter) Infinite by midwesterosi. I love "Against the Current" which I cannot find for the life of me right now, so if anyone has the link, lemme know I'll see if I can add it to this post.

My favorite SanSan fic (which I realize is gonna be a rarer pair) is like an epic it's so long and it's so delicious because the agency the author gives Sansa is so refreshing. She's really QITN material, but I'm not sure if/when it will be updated--it's 58 chapters rn with over 500k words tho so if you like the long haul you'll be pretty satisfied. I've probably read it twice now tbqh. Northern Lights and Midnight Sun by Ownsariver

That's kind of my main ones, I'm super open to fic recs but I kind of have to be in a mood sometimes to really sit and read (usually horizontal days for me where my body can't physically sit up which happens more often than I'd like!) but a lot of the ones I've mentioned, if the author posts something new I'll flock to it IMMEDIATELY because I love their stuff so much.

I feel the need to remind ppl to leave kudos and comments but that might be preaching to the choir in this case!

Honestly, sometimes when I am updating my new Trigun stuff on Ao3, or contemplating more Zelda stuff, I see the SHEER VOLUME of my Spop fics and I get a temptation just to personal-archive them all and take them all offline. Most of my experience in this fandom has been pain and I feel kind of ashamed of my Spop fics because "why was I writing for a children's cartoon that people take way too seriously, anyway?" Even though I was a prolific Trigun-ficcer back in the day, and after that, a prolific Zelda-ficcer, I never wanted to take all of my fanfiction dot net stuff over to Ao3. It's kind of surreal for me to see myself as an author of around 100 fics on Ao3 and instead of them being "mostly Zelda" or "half Zelda, half Trigun" like on the old site, on Ao3, there are just sooooo many individual Spop fics, most of them Entrapdak or veering into my original characters, and that's listed-fics, some of what I have are small-fic COLLECTIONS. And, it's like... I've returned to what has become a far better (and less traumatising) fandom now? I have a lot of stuff I've done over on fanfiction dot net from like 20 years ago, but it's not good, I just want to keep on doing new stuff, with the occasional bring-over of an old "I've re-read and I don't hate this" fic. So, I just leer at my Spop stuff and wonder... "What if I blew you all up?" I don't know if anyone is reading that stuff anymore. I get a few kudos now and again, but it's old stuff. I don't think I'm particularly missed in the fandom. And it's like...comparing my lower-effort fan-writing for a not-too well-written show with my explorations of something that is inspirational, amazing and burrows into the soul. I...just don't want people going to Ao3 to think of me as "an Spop writer anymore, when I'm becoming a Trigun writer again. But... I am not a coward. I've left up my old, dubious-quality bullshit-fic for many fandoms that I did over 20 years ago up on fanfiction dot net TO THIS DAY - seriously, things that make me facepalm still exist on the Internet, easily accessed. I also wonder, if anyone does still like my Ao3 Spop work, feeling nostalgic or whatever, they should be able to find it.

What recent shows you have been watching lately? (are we going to get some artwork of that if so?)

I’ve just been rewatching a lot of shows lately. But the two shows I’ve been watching the most at the moment are She-Ra and Ninjago. I’ll definitely draw more Ninjago related stuff because rewatching the first couple of seasons always make me feel emotional.

For She-Ra, I’m not 100% sure. (If I do it’ll definitely be Entrapdak and Scorpia related art because I love her so much.)

I do have a lot of WIP pieces from a lot of different shows and films I’ll post randomly. It really just depends on my ADHD mood.

One thing about the Entrapdak relationship people don't appreciate

Hordak, Horde Lord of Etheria who nearly conquered the planet is probably the voice of reason out of the two of them.

I legit believe that he will at least mention the moral implications of what they are about to do.

Then totally go along with whatever his beloved wife wants consequences and morals be danged but still, he would think about it at least.

But I completely agree that that's part of the core Entrapdak characterisation. Entrapta lack impulse control, common sense, uncommon sense, self-preservation instincts and even the slightest recognition of natural laws… But somehow she manages to replace them with empathy, enthusiasm, love and caffeine, and manages pretty well.

Hordak has smarts, self control, poise, a modicum of dignity, drive, sense of strategy… and it led him to a horrible war in pursuit of the fleeting approval of an unworthy God and to almost loose the best thing that ever happened to him.

My favourite dynamic is when he recognize every single stupid part of Entrapta's 'plans' (for lack of a better word), and might grump or course-correct about details, but still relies heavy on her for the bigger-picture stuff, because he doesn't trust himself any longer.

Hordak: What are the plans for today, my love (and why is the toaster on fire?) Entrapta: We're building a bridge to Salineas!!!! (and it's for science, don't worry about it) Hordak: That's… a bit far for a bridge, don't you think? casually grabs one of the the many fire extinguishers he has made a point of installing and sprays the toaster Entrapta: We'll make it a portable bridge! Moahahahaha! Hordak: That…. would be the same thing as a boat, yes? Entrapta: Oooooh! a boat bridge! We totally have to build that. Hordak: My plan for the day was to sit in darkness in utter self loathing… Entrapta: NO! Boat Bridge! Hordak: …of course, my love.

Entrapdak Zine 5 - “Nostalgia” is now open for submissions!!

Did you know this issue will mark two years of this Entrapdak Zine? I’m just as surprised as you!

Right let’s down to business!

The deadline for this issue will be Saturday JULY 1st 2021 at 9AM GMT.

I am flexible on this Deadline so anything that arrives on this date or by my 9am the next day July 2nd is allowed (I’m in the GMT timezone BTW)

I am LESS flexible on the Extension Deadline (see FAQs Section for more information on that)

The Zine will be out mid July the actual date is flexible and dependant on when all the Submissions come in and my own personal work schedule.

So most of this is the same as the last few - really if it ain’t broke don’t fit it! Also a polite reminder I am only one person running this and I am a part time Barista. It may take me a little time to reply to emails/comments especially after the Deadline time (when I have the most amount of work to do on this project) so please be patient with me.

Our basic guidelines are the same as last issue. This is:

A Digital pdf Zine containing content created by the fans for the fans

A 100% Free Zine

Preferred Language is English

SFW content suitable for a Y7-PG13 age range (same as the show’s age rating)

You may notice I run this different to other zines as there is no sign up period, just submit work before the deadline - I’d rather people have more time to work on their pieces

Anyone can submit regardless of age or skill level - this is not a job application - just follow the guidelines and email in your work

Guidelines applicable to all work:

Content Age Rating:

Like the show this Zine will contain content rated Y7 and PG13 rated - so please no swearing

There WILL BE NO NSFW or 18+ content - where possible let’s keep this suitable for all ages please

Sub note on character minimum clothing requirements:

for male presenting characters to be speedos/underpants

for female presenting characters to be a bikini/bra and underpants

if not sure please use the female presenting criteria

Theme:

This issue’s theme if you wish to use it is:

“Nostalgia”

This theme is a suggestion and if you’d rather make an Entrapdak piece without this theme please feel free to do so. I want you to have fun!

Allowed Characters:

As long as both Entrapta and Hordak are the main focus and the piece follows Age Rating it will be allowed.

Other allowed characters in the Entrapdak family include Emily, Imp and the Clones (also known as Spacebats)…yes weirdly this also includes Horde Prime.

Other She-Ra characters will be allowed but Entrapdak is to be the core element.

Phew that’s a lotta text sorry about that - now on to the fun stuff! What sort of stuff is allowed?

Fan Writing guidelines:

Written work can be emailed in the body of text, sent as pdf attachment or as a link to a Google Doc - I can work with any of those.

Please include you name/username somewhere as it helps. If there’s no name on the piece I’ll add one at the start with the title.

Fan Art guidelines:

Fan art can include rough sketches, screencap redraws, comics (appox 1-10 pages length), coloured sketches or full colour pieces.

Fan art can be in the digital or traditional medium.

Traditional fan art can either be submitted as a photo or scanned, which ever you prefer.

Preferred sizing for Digital art is as follows, my aim to to have everything on International (UK) A4 paper sizing where possible*

2480px x 3508pm DPI 132

Portrait layout is preferred**

PNG is preferred but I will understand if you only wish to send a workable JPEG

The aspect ratio (width:height) of A4 paper is 1:1.4142 (1:√2)

Notes:

*Images outside these sizings are still okay but may end up with a white border on the edges due to the PDF publishing settings.

Why no Application form?

I don’t want anyone to feel like they are applying for a job here, this is supposed to be fun.

Will there be Guest Artists or Guest Writers?

Can I submit more than one piece?

If you’d like to certainly! If you’d like to submit up to three pieces of art and 3 fan writings, sure go for it! I’m certainly not going to stop anyone having a good time

May I post a preview of my work to my Followers?

Sure! Bonus points if you link them to this post so that they can take part if they wish

May I post my work online?

Is this only for people with a [insert certain social media account here]?

Nope, this is for anyone who wants to take part. I only ask for a social media contact so that others who like you work for the Zine may follow you on your preferred social media platform.

Can I send an update to a piece?

Of course! Just let me know which piece you want to use and I’ll update on my end

Can I send another piece on later?

Of course that’s not a problem!

Ah I can’t get this done before the deadline - it’s almost ready!!! I need another day!!!!

Contact me, either through the submitting email over via my Tumblr or Twitter DMs or just emailing the email address. There is extra time scheduled as an extension for anyone who needs it with no questions asked to why it is needed. Just get in contact, I'll put you name on the Extension List and that extra time is yours. Once all names come in (or the deadline is reached) I will finish up my work and get the zine out. I will not be sending out a further reminder (because I’ll forget sorry 😅).

Why don’t you make the Extension List time public?

Because I can’t finish up the Zine if extra stuff keeps coming in at the last second - I get jittery enough with final deadlines so this is how I manage my stress
