god is the sun and the cradle and the hipbones and the yolk of an egg. most prominently, though, god is the sea, the tumultuous mother-symbol of ineffable depth. what’s that line about the sea being a sailor’s first love, his marriage bed and his grave? is that not how one should approach god? well, i hope this helps
