Plot twists, all these shows have been in Amsterdam 💀 idk i always have a great time but then id look across the venue and id be able to count heads because they're so still.

But on a positive note, i went to see Harry Styles with my mom and grandma at the beginning of this month and it was probably the best day of my life. We made our outfits and i made bracelets to exchange and everyone was so nice and obviously harry was just the greatest. His energy is honestly something else (i'm still dealing woth the post-concert depression)

noooo cmon there's no way, Amsterdam wouldn't do that to me 😅 if you can, you gotta see any band that plays the Melkweg. there's no way that venue ever has bad shows, that just doesn't happen (watch you telling me it was all at melkweg 😅) i actually had tickets to see The Distillers there this month, but they canceled which was saaad. considered going to see the interrupters there to, but was unable to due to vacation days.

between you and me, i CAN NOT DIE without seeing the interrupters live. it's not my usual style, but that woman sounds so. much. goddamn fun. i have to see her live at least once

i suppose Harry has a completely different kind of crowd. he attracts a lot of people who engage with him and with each other (let's forget the haters for a sec), so i can imagine how fun that sense of community can get. sorry about the post concert blues <3<3 hopefully you get to see someone else soon and go through a wonderful experience all over again.

and if not--- well. Portugal is known for having great audiences for all sorts of shows, so feel free to visit any time 😁

Näin myös unta metsiköstä.

Nousin aamulla, otin aamulääkkeeni, nautin aamiaista ja kahvia.

Harjasin kieleni ja hampaani, hoidin joka- aamuisen kauneudenhoitorutiinin, ja rasvasin ihoni. Pukeuduin.

Otin lakanat pois sängystäni ja laitoin ne pyykkikoriin.

Lähdin viemään roskia kierrätykseen.

Menin juna- asemalle jossa tapasin Antonin.

Matkustimme junalla kaupunkiin ja tapasimme Mireten ja Marjutin. Matkustimme ratikalla satamaan ja menimme ravintolaan nimeltä Forza jossa muut odottivat meitä.

Tilasin pizzan jossa oli ihanaa sitruunan makuista juustoa. Jälkiruuaksi oli panna cottaa.

Muut lähtivät Peräkammariin jatkoille, minä ja Anton ja Mirette ja Marjut ja Karri menimme Espresso House- kahvilaan.

Muut menivät minne menivät. Minä ja Anton menimme junalla minun kotikaupunkiini, jonne Anton oli parkinnut autonsa. Minä menin kotiini.

Otin iltalääkkeeni, harjasin hammasvälini ja hampaani, hoidin jokailtaisen kauneudenhoitorutiinin, ja rasvasin ihoni.

Nyt olen nukkumassa.

Huomenna menen käymään Janilla ja Elisalla.

and honestly, i would maybe blame it on the generation thing and the whole covid shit and like, oh people now don't know how to do concerts anymore (which, i mean, is kinda true) but the last few concerts I've been to were bands like Depeche Mode and Blur, so i was probably one of the youngest people there lol and like... these people might as well have been playing dead. i was just looking around, and no one was moving. it was scary and i felt so bad because??? huh? imagine performing for that and sure, they might not have that many songs people know well but you can still have fun 😭 especially if pay to see them live. or try to find the setlist and prep a bit. and even that is not an excuse because last year i went to see queen and the crowd was so fucking dead. QUEEN!?!? (not to mention they didn't know how to clap during we will rock you, but that's a whole different issue)

what??? that sounds so awful 🙈 Blur really??? that's literally one of the top concerts i've been to and i was waaaaay in the back. and queen? QUEEN?? nah that's just not possible, it's gotta be a blasphemy of some sort. i remember seeing them here in Portugal a few years ago, and it was INSANITY. is Adam Lambert still touring with them? because he's GOOD good fronting those guys.

now--you NEED a great show after such lame experiences. you should come with me one day, i never go to a bad show 😋

i don't think it can't be blamed on the how many months people spent without live shows because wouldn't that make them more eager?? therefore more active during the show?? or is everybody still in 'omg i'm out of the house this is how i'm gonna die' panic mode? sounds a bit much to me. where tf are you going to shows?? because wherever that is clearly needs a crowd fun booster or something

i know not everyone can afford to travel, but from my experience Manchester, London, and Amsterdam always have AMAZING crowds. you can't go wrong in those cities. you just can't. since brexit i've been going to Paris or Amsterdam, and i have yet to regret an experience there. though perhaps it's the age of crowds like you said, i prefer to see new bands live (tickets are cheaper and less of a headache to get lmao), so there's a lot of young people

a few weeks back i went to see the Offspring. I'm not a huge fan, but my mom is so I mostly went for her. was a bit unsure how it would go bc i know like 3 songs lol, but honestly it was such a vibe, the support acts were cool and then they had like a whole other mini party to get everyone hyped up (including a mini blimp that dropped picks, guy in a gorilla costume going around the place and dancing with people, and a bunch of those kiss cams etc to get people involved) and then once the band actually started that energy just stayed up there and it was so fun and while this was extreme, i feel like artists could use something like that to get their audience excited because I've also been to shows where 97% of the people are just 🧍🧍🧍 and it's embarrassing.

the offspring!!! a classic. never saw them live because i only know 3 songs too lmao but that sounds totally fun! getting the crowd going with randomness craziness to pass the time while the stage is being prepped??? always a good idea. glad you had a great time despite not knowing them that well!!!

ugh you know when you're at a fest, and you can clearly tell that most people are there for a certain band, so while the others are on stage nobody does anything interesting??? that annoys me so much 😒 it's still music, you can have a lil fun even if you don't know the songs, cmonnnn

one of the best concerts i went to was to see a friend's new favorite band that i'd never even heard of at the time-- beartooth. do you know them? they give a great concert omfg. like damn. they quickly became one of my faves too. they're INSANITY live, can't wait to get myself in the middle of their crowds again

first concert ever and latest concert a.k.a. the ONLY ever concert i've been to (hopefully more could go to more soon) was shawn mendes but the craziest thing about it was i went alone sksksks. BUT i had theeee best time just dancing and singing and screaming and the girl beside me and she was so nice and she took a picture of me and i took a picture of her bc her friend was on another seat. during the whole this she was also screaming her heart out and barely got her phone out so it was a vibe. (apart from a few who was just like...sitting and nodding behind us like.. ok u do u i guess) like honestly, i know ppl think it's sad going to a concert by yourself but it's literally not at all. especially with if you're a fan of who's playing, you're going to meet ppl and you get to bond over the music and artist and it's great sksksks

first concert ever??? that deserves a bit of a CELEBRATION 🔥🎉 i can imagine location doesn't help if you're into western musicians, so it's wonderful that you had this opportunity <3<3 so, so happy that you had such a wonderful time!!! and you see, making friends at a show is so easy, you just vibe together. it's 100% amazing

fun fact: every time i go see any band my frank plays in (more recently it's been ls dunes if anyone's interested lmao), i always always see these old friends i made way back in 2014-2015 because we went to several frank's solo shows back then, and we created such a powerful bond that even if you don't talk to these people on the regular, you'll see them on a show and it's like seeing your bestest friend after 3 weeks away. i definitely recommend going to live shows and making new friends there, and sometimes going with your irl friend can undermine that experience a little

basically you came to the right place. most of the time i go to shows by myself. i looove going to shows with friends of course, but it's so rare that i like a band that anybody else i know irl likes too, not to mention that the bands i like rarely play here, so i have to travel and people around me can't really afford to go on a whim like that (sidenote: this is a perk of not owning a car, you can spend that money on concerts instead 🙃) so anyway. going to a show by yourself --and doing anything you like by yourself-- does not mean loneliness! it means fun and liberty and honestly? lack of fear going staying true to the things you like

The best concert is the concert with a mosh pit. Even though I’m old as hell now lol.

lmao i don't do pits per se, but those 3 or 4 rows of people between front row and the moshpit? definitely my favorite place in the world. i like my 3rd or 4th row 😁 you get crushed, yes absolutely, but it's all squishy meat, no barriers and hardly any elbows in your face, it's. so. good. so yes you're absolutely right.

I'm working on my Uni Roommates Tom and Harrison fic, and I had a dream the other night about the fic, and I liked it so I'm reworking part of the fic around it. I appreciate my sleeping brain sometimes! (Better than the dream I had last night that I met Harrison at a family reunion in the state half my family comes from that people make incest jokes about, and I found out he was my cousin. 💀)
