Be A Humanitarian: The Story Behind My Song

Hello, everyone. I'm Ricardo Dérose, also known as Ricky Dérose. I'm the idealist of Philoetry and own several businesses that aim to make a positive difference in the world. Today, I want to share the story behind my song, "Be A Humanitarian."

This song is very special and personal because a tragic event inspired it in my homeland, Haiti. On January 12, 2010, a devastating earthquake struck near the capital city, Port-au-Prince, killing over 200,000 people and displacing millions more. It was one of the worst natural disasters in history, and it affected me and my Haitian family deeply.
