More of the crew!
Husk told Niffty there were bugs in there to get back at Alastor for probably something he said, did, I dunno 😂
But he's definitely enjoying the chaos 😂

Cats (the musical) but instead of real cats trying to go to the heavyside layer, they're stuffed animal cats in a claw machine trying to get the claw to pick them up so they can go home with someone

Pick a musical song for each of your characters?
I already have Leo’s and Donnie’s down — Leo gets “My Grand Plan” from The Lightning Thief Musical, Donnie gets “The Bad Guy” from Ultimate Storytime!
Mikey would probably be either “Hakuna Matata” from Lion King or “Tomorrow” from Annie lol (though I’d also give him “Anything Can Happen” from Mary Poppins)
Tell me why Raph would get “(Just a) Simple Sponge” from the Spongebob Squarepants musical…? Or maybe “Pathetic” or “This Little Girl” from Matilda?
I wanna give April “Strong” from TLT, but then again she might identify a lot with “Who I’d Be” from Shrek the Musical
(As a joke) Draxum gets “You’ll Be Back” from Hamilton (he actually gets “The Pitiful Children” from Be More Chill)
Big Mama gets “Stay With Me” from Into The Woods
Karai strikes me as a “No One is Alone” from Into the Woods type a gal — NO WAIT “PAPA CAN YOU HEAR ME?” FROM YENTYL OH MY GOD I’M GONNA CRY
Also since I gave basically everyone two songs I’ll add some extras to Leon and DvD—
Leo would probably get “Skid Row (Downtown)” from Little Shop of Horrors, though I do kinda like “Santa Fe” from Newsies too
Donnie might get “No More” from Into The Woods… it’s hard to find a song that really matches his character arc

The other night I had some free time and so I went on the IBDB (Internet Broadway Database) and calculated the following statistics:
There have been 41 productions of Stephen Sondheim musicals on Broadway, 25 productions of Rodgers & Hammerstein musicals, and 20 productions of Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals.
However, there have only been 13,860 performances of Sondheim shows compared to 15,656 performances for R&H and 30,328 performances of ALW shows, with 13,981 being from The Phantom of the Opera alone.
On average, Sondheim musicals have ran for 338 performances on Broadway, R&H musicals last 626 performances on average, and ALW musicals last 1516 performances on average, but if you remove Phantom then ALW's performance average lowers to 860.
ALW and R&H both have had 4 productions run 1,000+ performances, while Sondheim has had 0. By contrast, Sondheim has had 7 productions run less than 100 performances, while ALW has 3 and R&H 1.
ALW's longest running show is Phantom, Sondheim's is the OG production of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (964 performances), and R&H's is the OG Oklahoma! (2,212).
ALW's shortest running show is By Jeeves (73), Sondheim's is Anyone Can Whistle (9), and R&H's is the 1949 revival of Carousel (32).
The following disclaimers:
I did not count revues or the short New York City Center productions from the 60s that are listed on IBDB. I counted shows where Sondheim only wrote the lyrics (such as West Side Story), but I did not count shows where he only wrote additional music or lyrics (such as Candide). I only counted shows that Rodgers and Hammerstein did together, and not those that either of them worked on individually.

I think it's so cool rn that we're seeing the introduction of broadway-style musicals to film, and I'm not just talking about adaptations, I'm talking about originals like Wonka
I think, and correct me if I'm wrong, Wonka is one of if not the first original broadway-style musical on film
like maybe you could argue Greatest Showman but in that case Wonka did what they were trying to do but better
I genuinely think Wonka is a film that people will look back on in a few decades and be like, that movie was a turning point in cinema
like, it's a broadway-style musical, the songs and choreography and plot all work together beautifully in a way any broadway fan will appreciate and in a way distinct from other movie musicals where the songs tend to take more of a backseat to the plot, and also, it wouldn't be the same off of film. The medium actually adds something. it's not a musical that was jammed into the film medium, it fits the medium perfectly and uses the medium to its advantage.
y'all really should watch and appreciate this movie because I think/hope that we will get more like this where the crew really takes advantage of film and the transitions and flexibility of set to elevate the choreography and humor of musicals

no ride the cyclone is so fun because it’s just like
“i hate you sm” or “you’re so weird and freaky now let me sing and dance my heart out in the background of your song about how you’re a winner”
ah, musicals.

I rewatched falsettos today (for the millionth time… I swear I can recite this musical off by heart) and thought, hm I wonder if there are any other angles that were taking during “Thrill of First Love”… AND THERE IS
This gif is my new favourite thing about falsettos just because of the angle, the slow motion effect just UGH everything about it
