“pim? hey. pim, buddy, wake up, you’re standing.” a very gentle shake to pim’s shoulder is all charlie gives, not wanting to startle his friend with anything more sudden. “you okay, dude? you look like a dead man walking, d’you have trouble sleeping last night?” there’s a genuine concern in charlie’s voice as he looked down at the sleepy critter.

Angsty Reunion

Marceline Abadeer scowled, as she rummaged through her fridge for something red. She DID have apples, did she eat them all? AUGH! She couldn't even mind an apple, which meant she would have to go to the Candy Kingdom to find some.

She had just finished a concert and she wanted to eat and relax, but that didn't seem to be happening. This wasn't the main source of her stress, though, and normally she would have closed her eyes and calmed herself, but something wasn't right. She had heard some whispers underground that her father was going to pop in and attempt to surprise her, and while she hadn't seen him yet, she didn't want to. The thought of seeing him made her angry and sad at the same time, and right now, the angry was coming out.

Yelling at the sky for the second time, she floated to her couch for now, and just sat there, being upset, and thinking about what would happen when he got there.

     A noise outside the room had occurred, nothing to fret about, but as Ice King laid upon the bed with his comics. The woman facing away from him, as it had turned out to merely be Gunter, a moment, “Come back to bed, dear.” A moment like this was rare, only happening every so often, but as quickly as it came, it’d fade as he continued, raising a comic book.

     “You’re missing out on these cool comics! This one has a funny man prancing around as a leprechaun with a bow!” he explained. As Simon was different, changed, perhaps forever, but deep down, he was the same and through little actions and wordings overtime... perhaps Betty saw it too.
