I feel Apollon in my veins. I feel his hands guide mine as I pour my soul into the piano. I hear his voice, gentle as the summer sun urging me to keep going. letting me know that I am not too ambitious for choosing to seek knowledge. I feel his rage in my blood when men speak to me as if I know nothing. As I walk to perform or present a project, I know he is there. Watching over me and when I am done, his cheers are always the loudest.

steady and firm, a strict teacher and a gentle healer. Letting me know that I will be okay. Someday, I will wake up, greet the sun and the joy I shall feel will not be a lie.

Halsin very gently cupping Wyll's cheek and running his thumb along the pitted scarring around his right eye. Perhaps Wyll winces, just a touch spooked by how...reverent the touch is, stomach sinking at the possibility of any following words being those of pity, asking questions to which answers are painful and ache inside him. Holding hesitantingly still under the exploratory touch, feeling ash melt on his tongue.

But then he looks up and all he can see in his narrowed line of sight is the brutal scarring over Halsin's reflecting eye, the way it wrinkles and creases and puckers around the pull of his muscles as he smiles, how the lid sags just slightly lower than the other, gazing down at Wyll like it means something. Like it means everything.

And when Halsin murmurs that he is beautiful, Wyll just about believes him.

Some altar updates! I added some extra prayer cards I have to Apollo and Artemis’s altars as small art prints. I buy these prayer cards from an Etsy seller who is very generous and includes extras! I also added Clio to my altar space, she shares one of Apollo’s altars, which is fitting considering his relationship to the Muses. I purchased a print of her and moved the scroll to be near the print.
