But I gotta ask: who’s the one who brings up the fact that some people cook for fun?

the way I see it is Steban is a 20-something year old collage student so I feel like he doesn't cook at all so he prefers to buy food instead and going to cafés for the aesthetic lol he would try to justify that by saying restaurants are more revolutionary, also he mentions his mom who is a cleaning lady, maybe he wouldn't want her mom to cook for him or at least feels guilty about it lol. and Harry has the feminist agenda going on and maybe high volition/physical instrument so he's like I don't want women doing things for me cause i'm a feminist!! I'll cook for myself!! (which probably means doing some easy recipe very badly and then eating it anyway) but it would work the other way too

I think Cindy probably cause uh it can be a creative process? or maybe just cause she has some common sense lol

Dear Mr. 7oby Radguy,

Today I finally got that order sol gk in the mail after ordering it 5 months ago.

Good lord I am glad that fig is based on an illustration because the "sample photo" provided for that kit may as well have just said "ok now assemble the rest of the badguy". He is now soaking in a bath of degreaser. I have an idea of what kind of color scheme I want to go with based on a different HOS illustration. Now to assemble the rest of the Badguy....

The sample photo SUCKS LMAO IT'S SO BAD. I managed to dig up a couple other photos from like 1999 of this model though. They aren't too much better, but they were enough:

The little belts that go under the arm holding the head were a pain in the ass to glue on. Good luck with those... I had some trouble getting his ponytail to attach too, and it sort of looks like the person that assembled the model here also did because the hair tie is a lot thicker than it is in the actual cast. I ended up just gluing it directly on without a pin but if he ever falls over at the wrong angle it's going to go flying lmao

I couldn't find a decent picture of his face not hidden by shadows so I just tried to make him look like how he does in official art and left his eyes solid white like when he installs.

TheCringeMaster over on MyFigureCollection did a really cool version of this kit where they sawed off the Gear head, popped the collar, and made him sleeveless. I like how it looks so much that I almost did the same thing but I decided to stick with the "official" look in the end.

Good luck!! This was the first gk I ever did and it was really fun.

bethesda game studios dont intend to be clever in their writing vs obsidian thinking they're sending a message but its Not As Revolutionary As They Think It Is

I mean, this is a bit reductive since neither studio does solely one or the other. FNV has dumb, silly moments (even when they should've been less flippant, like in OWB), and Bethesda has its share of trying to send a message that is Not Revolutionary: or worse, the opposite of what they intended.

The most obvious example of this on Bethesda's part is them trying to make a Bold Point on race and slavery in Fallout 4, and being appallingly racist in their attempt. Equating fantasy machine racism to the historical struggle of enslaved black people in America; even appropriating the [Underground] 'Railroad' towards this end. I’d call it disingenuous to write this off as Bethesda simply ‘not trying’ to be clever, since they clearly thought otherwise.

This isn't to say Obsidian is flawless. FNV (+classic Fallout) have plenty of bad and racist writing. But this isn't from them trying to be clever, either. It’s just hands-down ignorant worldbuilding.

Best I remember is it was an all green werewolf/wolf deck themed around these guys. The gist was jsut generating as many monsters as possible, and all other cards roid-raged them, made them hexproof and could grab shit out of the sky and kept my werewolves transformed for as long as they could be. Some tasty terror for someone who really loved Van Helsing

I feel like a weirdo explaining to people in a server (who have never played dishonored) that the writing is bad but also good and the characters are cool but also suck and there are characters that people either hate or love and i feel silly for liking the ousdier because he's milqtoast and sucks but also just a little bastard and billie lurk was done dirty and emily should have been written better in the second game i am losing my shit, i get like this every so often, rise and repeat

You said it! It’s an infuriating franchise for sure, like they do a lot of things questionably, the first game has a lot of misogyny and no characters of color in main roles (unless some people count Corvo), second game improved on this but still treats a lot of their characters of color and women badly and the plot has some questionable choices which makes me super mad at times but--

I also love it! Because the world building, atmosphere, storytelling, little things, characters, interactions, gameplay, level design and artistic style are all amazing. There is so much potential, so many stories to tell, so many good things. Its good to be critical of the things you love, but I still do love Dishonored with all it’s flaws because it just makes me feel good, makes me happy to play it, so I think that’s how a lot of people feel. I am glad the fandom is small and nice and people aim to fix the things that Dishonored did wrong but still appreciate it for all the parts it did great!

-How I feel about them:

GOOD GOOD STILL GOOD. She can be anything she wants to be go nonbinary girlboss. Automatically the smartest character in SO because she’s not infected by human society brain fungus.

-Romantic relationships:

Foolymes like I said in Jolyne’s ask. Though ships with Foo would be a lot more explorative and nontraditional than any other ships with non-stand characters.

-Platonic relationships:

Weather, she definitely got along with rain man. She hung out with AnaPISS more but if she was written by a smart person she would have let him die.

-Unpopular opinion:

I’ve talked about this on someone else’s post before but I do not like that nonbinary/neurodivergent Foo is the norm in the fandom bc most binary/neurotypical people don’t know WHY people interpret her like that and resort to attaching harmful stereotypes to her.

-One thing I wish happened:

Again I wish she had let Anasui fucking die. Her one life’s goal was wanting to live, wanting to become human, wanting to protect Jolyne, and for some fucking reason Araki wrote her to sacrifice herself to save the life of a man who she VERY much disliked for being predatory towards Jolyne. Piss off Araki.
