Hello! In honor of my birthday I was going to post a fic everyday of November, but I decided a good old "why not make it an event". The primary aspect of this event is to do/create what makes you happy and to have fun!. (Reblogs welcomed!!!)

About:
This is a open multi-fandom event that is open towards all participants of fandom weather you make art, gifs, rant post, fan fic, fanvids, crochet, or simply love to support your fellow creators. Each day has a theme and three prompts to accompany the theme. The prompts are their just to help In case the theme alone doesn't spark the creative juices, but the prompts don't have to be used.

Rules:
Multi-fandom event, any and all fandoms are welcomed!
All forms of media are accepted (fic, art, gifs, moodboards, comics, edits, videos etc.) If making media is not your thing then there are also alternatives. 1) make a rant post about the theme for the day.. 2) Arts and crafts projects are welcomed as well! Crochet, knitting, felt work, cross stitch, you name it, it's welcomed!...3) support your fandom creators and reblog your favorite media surrounding the theme of the day!
You do NOT have to create a new entry for each theme. If you already have a existing project/work in progress from past events or that you never got around towards finishing, that fits one of the themes, finish/polish it up and use it!
You can use no prompts or all three prompts, doesn't matter as long as it matches the theme!
Nsfw content is allowed! Ship and let ship! (Please tag everything appropriately!) Everything (and I mean everything) is allowed!!
The "Free Day" can be used three different ways. 1) use it as a free day, take a break and don't post anything... 2) Create whatever makes you happiest!... 3) Create something along the theme of current events going on in the world right now.
There are NO Maximum or minimum requirements for any type of media. It can be a single sentence fic or just a pencil outline of art, everything and anything counts!
Crossovers with other events are welcomed as long as the other events are okay with it too!
This event STARTS November 1st and will technically END December 1st. But you can post any entries/fills as early or as late, the event takes place during November but early or late participation will all be accepted!

I want to make this all as accessible as possible so please provide an ID on all imaged/gifs and if possible video transcripts. As well as to make sure to tag stuff correctly (flashing/strobes, body horror, phobias, eye strain etc) I understand some of the media may be difficult to put an ID of but something is better than nothing 😊.

TROPED Choice: Horror
We’re back, witches! It’s time for the third annual Halloween Fanfic Challenge! For this Round of our TROPED: The Fanfic Writing Challenge, you will select the tropes you want to write and create the horror fic of your dreams! This challenge is open to All Fandoms!
How It Works:
This Challenge will be structured in a similar manner as previous Choice Events but with a little extra support: tropes and theme list will be released, three weeks to write, three (3) days to vote; one quick round, done and done!
It’s a Multifandom Event! Write from any fandom you’d like! All Fandoms are welcome and there is no minimum participation required for this event! And no sign-ups necessary!
Choose a Theme for your fic from our list of Horror-centric themes! Ghost stories, urban legends, slasher fics, or mystery thrillers, you name it, we wanna see it! But, if Horror isn’t your thing, these fics do not have to be scary (“horror” just sounds better than “halloween”)! Any and all Halloween-themed fics are also welcome here! While we are definitely encouraging scary, spooky, horror style fics, any fic with a general Halloween theme that follows our guidelines and tropes would work great, from a slasher flick inspired horror fic to a soft and fluffy trick-o’-treating kid fic!
Choose four (4) Tropes for your fic from our list of tropes! (You can, of course, choose more than four, but only the first four tropes you list will be included for voting). For this challenge, at least one of your four tropes must be a ‘Horror’ trope, which are in a separate list from the other tropes.
Write your fic in 10,000 words or less! You will upload your fic anonymously to the AO3 Collection linked below. Make sure you put what your theme is and what tropes you used in your fic summary, or in the notes at the TOP of your fic, so we can keep our eyes peeled for them as we read them! (If you are worried the tropes/themes will spoil your fic, you may put them in the notes at the bottom, but please let us know at the top if you choose to do so, and be sure that all of your tropes and themes are in the same place!)
This event will be Optionally Anonymous! Because we want this event to be much more chill, and the writing period will be open for the month, we will not require this event to be anonymous! However, if you would like to have your fic be anonymous, we will be sharing a small tutorial on how to make your fics anonymous and how to remove them from being anonymous sometime soon, so keep your eyes peeled!
Read and Review! Once you’ve submitted your own fic, take a look at the others in the competition! Please try to read as many as you can! Take some notes, leave some kudos/comments for the authors, and help us vote on the winners! This is not a requirement for participation, but it is highly encouraged and helps make TROPED build a strong community!
Community Voting! The voting for this event will be pretty simple! We will keep a list of all fics submitted for each event, and then at the end there will be a voting poll! Voting will be based on the use of your chosen theme, your combined use of all four chosen tropes, the combined use of your theme + your tropes, and bonus polls, most unique pairing (which will count for both platonic and romantic pairings), best scary story, and best use of Halloween! The voting will be based on the fics as a whole, and will include all fandoms together! If you do not want your fic included in the voting, you can let us know, or you can simply upload your fic to our non-anon collection instead! We will still share it along with the other fics and it will be included in all masterlists! We will provide a link when voting begins.

Writing Period Ends: Sunday, October 23rd at 3:00am PST / 6:00am EST
Voting Period: Friday, October 28th at 12:00am — Sunday, October 30th at 11:59pm
Winners Announced: Monday, October 31st!

i really do believe that using character.ai isn't really any different from getting chatgpt to write fanfic for you or using midjourney to make fanart for you its all the same sort of thing, and not just because they're all working off of stolen internet content. its because theyre definitely contributing to a greater shift in fandom being more about "consuming content" rather than about engaging with other people and making art
when you can get an algorithm to generate new stuff for you its really demotivating as a creator since so many people would rather just do that and use the stolen shit than like. find a community and make friends and make their own works. and i can imagine it is also discouraging new artists and writers from even trying to start making fanworks, since its easier to get a computer to do it for you and it might even make you feel like shit because the program can draw and write better than you, much faster.
calling fanworks "content" and calling engaging with art "consuming media" is so unbelievably reductive of what fandom is and the communities that people create and i hate that that's become the pervasive language used to describe it recently. fandom is so, so much more than that.
i know that a lot of people who want to engage with fanbases are young and socially anxious and i know its hard but fandom is COMMUNITY and talking to other people is like. the biggest part of the experience. and i promise you its really cool when you actually try. i promise you other people who like the same stuff as you have more interesting things to say than an algorithm does.

Hello, welcome to the Bingo of Our Own Halloween Event! This is going to be a limited time bingo event, separate from the main one. So, yes, you can still participate even if you have already received a card.
RULES
1. You can find the card on our Tumblr page.
2. Everyone can participate! It doesn't matter if you previously asked for a card or not.
3. The deadline is 13th of November.
4. You can post NSFW fics, but you must tag it accordingly. Anything explicit should be kept under ‘keep reading’.
5. For potentially triggering content, you have to add TWs above.
6. To make a bingo, you must complete all of the squares in a single row (vertical, horizontal, or diagonal). To make a blackout, you must complete all the squares.
7. Getting a bingo or a blackout gives you special titles in the Bingo of Our Own Discord server (you need a link to join the server, and to get it, you can message us). The titles are purely decorational and will not give you special perks, but they serve as a fun little badge that shows you've completed the card.
The titles are:
Pumpkin Carver: Participated in the Bingo of Our Own Halloween Event by submitting at least one prompt fill.
Halloween Enthusiast: Got at least one bingo vertically, horizontally, or vertically.
Spook Master: Completed the Bingo of Our Own Halloween Event by filling all the prompts.
Only those who post their works on the Ao3 collection/tag us on Tumblr will get the titles, but you can also just write for yourself.
8. You can use multiple prompts in a single work, but it will only count as one square.
9. Multi-chaptered works are accepted as multiple square fills, given that every chapter is a self-contained story for a single prompt.
10. There is no minimum or maximum word count.
11. You are allowed to crosspost your works. If you want, you can submit them to our official Archive of Our Own Collection.
12. If you want your work to be reblogged, you have to tag @thebo3bingo along with #bingoofourownhalloween and/or #bo3halloween
13. No harassment towards any of the creators is allowed. Don’t like something? Don’t read it.
14. All fandoms and pairings need to be appropriately tagged.15. There is just a single card for all the participants, and the prompts cannot be changed.

When can I start posting?
As soon as you’re done writing There is no starting date.
Does the event have a deadline?
Yes. The last day to post is 13th of November, if you want to get the special Discord titles, want your works to be reblogged and/or added to the Halloween Event Ao3 Collection. But you can still post later than that, without getting the perks.
What fandoms are included?
Any fandom you want!
Can I submit any other types of artwork?
This is mainly a fanfiction event, but you can make fanart or edits for your prompts if you want to. Just don’t forget that they need to be SFW if you’re going to post them on Tumblr.

'Tis the Season: Holiday Special
Day Four - Loki - what the holidays might looks like with Loki in your life. Things are a little different as Loki introduces some Yule traditions to you. Things that Frigga taught him growing up on Asgard. Lighting the Yule log, going out and picking a good, strong Yule tree and decorating it with ornaments and dried fruit.
