After playing a fair amount of draft games with Ikoria I absolutely love it. It has a very interesting feel to it overall with you and the opponent doing your very best to make sure you keep your creatures alive for as long as possible. You let attacks through more often then you would even usually do during a regular game of limited just in case, creatures just have such an inherent value to them now... And that made me smile like crazy, because then I realised why.
The gameplay of the set in limited makes you feel like a bonder.
The mechanics be it companion or mutate actively force you to care about your creatures so much more than usual that you can't help being attached to some of them honestly. I enjoy spellslinging over everything, but even I let out audible gasps when my creature I've been building onto since turn 1 finally dies, it's just that involuntary.
Ikoria is a really dumb fun Timmy set that I feel really encapsulates the world through its design, the best personally for me in recent memory and I would highly recommend checking it out on Arena. (also PlayIkoria for 3 free packs gang gang y'all)

"Garruk was driven to kill by the curse of the chain veil, leading him to hunt planeswalkers as they were the "prey" he desired. However, after his curse was removed he was free of this mania. The curse had turned his blood black and oily, which Oko noted weakens magic that is exposed to it, however, he lost this quality after his curse was removed.[6]
Garruk's center is in green mana. He had access to black mana while under the chain veil's curse, but lost it after being cleansed of the curse by the Cauldron of Eternity."

Greetings, mortals.
I am Nicol-Bolas, former ruler of the multiverse. Welcome to my meditation realm. My detestful brother, Ugin, has suggested that I spend my eternity trapped here in more *productive* ways rather than ‘moping’ and ‘yelling about liliana.’ So, in all my graceful benevolence, I have decided to answer some questions of my former subjects.
