IT was a though day for both of you. WhiteBeard purposely giving tasks to clean the ship, since the whole crew was at the bar all day.

FINALLY it was night. you were laying on your hammock, reading a book. Ace walks in all tired and grumpy from the tasks, which brings a chuckle out of you. Ace tried his best to hide his smile when he heard your sweet little laugh.

“Cmere lay down.”- you said patting your stomach. nothing eased Ace more, than sweet cuddles and you using your sweet voice to talk about everything. isnt he just a pup?

he immediately laid down, burying his head in your stomach, wrapping his strong hands around your chest.

you snickered at him as you ran your fingers in his hair. Ace smiles even more as you run your fingers through his hair. The feeling made him feel like a very content puppy, and you could see his eyes flutter with every stroke of your hand through his hair. His body relaxed as he enjoyed this feeling quite a lot, and you could see one of his hands wrapping around your chest tighter. He lets out a content sigh and leans more into your body, his body warming up slightly from the heat of your hand running through his hair.

“and you deny that you are like a puppy.”- you teased him. he wasnt the type to admit his clingy and follows you around so he can ‘protect’ his woman, but in reality, he just wants to spend time with you.

Ace just rolls his eyes and chuckles again as he responds in a teasing tone.

"I'm not like a puppy at all. Psh. I'm way bigger and more handsome than any puppy could ever be. And I definitely do not enjoy being treated like a cute and adorable little pet, nor do I also enjoy being spoiled by you."

“then get off of me if you dont like it.”- you sounded like a mom, too tired to argue with her teenage daughter. your other hand was turning to another page of your book.

"Hmm... no."- Ace answers you, but he doesn't move to do what you say. His playful and flirty tone makes it seem like he doesn't mind being on you at all, and you can tell he even enjoys playing this game with you. His body stays in its relaxed position as he doesn't see any reason why he would move to get off of you.

“aw, my pretty bipolar princess.”- you replayed to him, a cocky smirk already printing on your face, as you stroked the back of his neck.

Ace sighs softly and relaxes even more when you caress his neck. His body is completely relaxed at this point, and you can tell this is something he is enjoying because of the way his eyes are already starting to shutter a bit more as he gets more and more comfortable with you holding and caressing him.

“you know you are like the stars.”- you broke the silence, trying to be sweet for once. not that you arent already sweet like a lollipop to him, but still.

This sudden confession and compliment makes Ace chuckle and he rolls his eyes before giving you a smug grin.

"Me? Like the stars? You could come up with any cute analogy, and you go with that? You've got to be kidding me."- He chuckles again, but you can see even now he is still relaxed as you caress the back of his neck. He seems as if he isn't going to bother moving from this position, as his tone still remains playful and flirty.

“oh my gosh, im trying to be sweet for once! hear me outttt!!”- you pouted, already annoyed. your reaction just making him laugh more and more.

“okay okay, fine. hehe”- he continued chuckling, but after around a minute calmed down. “you can continue now, sweetheart”

you sighed, continuing your statement. “wanna know why?”

"Sure, I wouldn't mind hearing why you think that. But, don't expect a sweet response from me if you do tell me."

“you are just unbelievable.”

“okay, fine, fine! im stopping. sorry, beauty. continue, please? i wanna hear it, i actually got interested, hehe.”

“because in the day you hide your emotions, all serious and stuff..like the stars. but at night you are relaxed more expressive and more loving..you shine at night..like the stars.”

when he hears your confession (or a little poem idk), he is speechless for a moment when you give him this analogy. In a way, you kind of had the right idea about what his personality was really like. During the day, he was stoic and cold, but when the night came, he was more relaxed and in a way even cuter than he usually is. He eventually smiles softly and chuckles a little.

"I didn't know you were as perceptive as this. Well, let me tell you this. You aren't wrong about me being more relaxed and affectionate at night. But, you aren't allowed to tell anyone else this."

“oh yeah? what if i tell someone?”- you spoke a little bit louder, a cocky smirk appearing on your pretty face.

“im gonna wipe this smirk out of your face!”- he barked back teasingly, his cheeks getting redder and redder.

“how?”

“by..”- he forgot his comeback, which made him only even more embarrassed.- “touché.”- he continued, his lips forming a pouty expression.

you pecked his cheek.- “you can never outsmart a woman, love.”

as much as he hated being defeated, he enjoyed seeing you all cocky and smirk-ish, cuz of your win. when you pecked his cheek, he closed his eyes and smiled goofy.

The night continued with both of you talking about the future, books, music, the ocean and etc. overall he is in cloud nine with you. after all every star needs their moon, innit? well you were his moon, and heck..he never was more happy. he wouldnt trade you for the world. he loved his moon way to much..his little precious moon..the best moon..the only moon for him was you..and no one else.

He’s always touching you, whether it’s a hand snaked around your waist of simply holding your hand. He begs you to leave your apartment to live with him and after some convincing (buying your old apartment for you to soothe your anxiety about things not working out) you move in together and quit your job. Making him and you all the more clingy. Most importantly he offers to fund whatever aspirations you have.

Older bf Todo who is so good at managing your outbursts and attitude if almost feels mocking. He stands over you while you cuss him out and dosen’t bother arguing, he’s ’too grown’ for that. He lets you blow off your steam, secretly finding it cute how you pace around and try your best not to be calm. He always lets you say your piece no matter how irrational, he says his piece too. More often than not leaving you feeling a little silly because of how worked up you got, but he always reassures you in the end.

“My sweet don’t yell, come, tell me what’s wrong. Let me fix it

“Baby it’s okay to be mad….(insert rationality or gift)”

And if someone hurt you, strangely they’re never seen again.

Older bf Todo who takes you to work dinners every now and again. You always pick up a shady vibe. It’s not really a dinner, it feels like a series of poorly hidden transactions and unspoken alliances. Nobody really eats, even though Todo makes sure you’re well fed as he sips whatever drink he’s feeling. You bring it up but he dismisses you which is unusual, regardless, the look on his face tells you not to pry too much. It’s quite literally the only thing you argue about it

In the ask you answered about songs that remind you of Tony you included Rooftop from The Beginner's Guide, I'm curious about your reasoning for that! (Now in an ask so you are free to wax poetic about it hehe)

I did include Rooftop! I also included Va, Machine, and D.S Al Coda. Each of these are from a video game called The Beginners Guide (as you, dear asker, know lol). I am absolutely obsessed with the game and its implications, so of course I had to connect it to Tony Stark (very easy to do actually, given what the game is about).

If you have not ever played The Beginners Guide or if you haven't seen a play through, please do watch a play through before reading the rest of my response. The songs and my explication are entirely tied to the plot surrounding them. I recommend Jacksepticeyes playthrough, linked below.

(I'm generally pro-spoilers, I dont tend to care about things being spoiled and such. But this is the game which is the exception. Don't spoil the game for yourself and read ahead, truly, the game dosnt have the same impact if you already know what happens. I would give so much to play this game for the first time again.)

Now for all of y'all that know about the game. I'll give a quick refresher on the level in which the song takes place for each explanation.

Rooftop - This is the song that plays at the end of the staircase level. Within that level, the player has to climb the stairs in an attempt to reach the room at the top. The player slows involuntarily while they climb, until they're barely moving at all. The player has the option to take Daveys shortcut and speed up the process to the top, or they can just keep inching forward. But either way, a player gets to the top eventually, and they see "A room that's warm, and nice, and filled with little ideas for games." As you know, Coda's a game developer. So a room full of ideas for games, a room thats welcoming and inspiring, would be worth the slow climb to the top. Once you're in the room of ideas, "Rooftop" starts playing.

Rooftop - What makes this level so Tony Stark is what Davey says: "Coda would often tell me that he didn't mind if people thought of him as cold or distant, he said that he knew he was actually a vibrant and compassionate person, but that it takes time to really see that. It can be a very slow climb to get there." Tell me thats not SO Tony. People see him as cold, and he dosnt care to dissuade someone of this unless they make the climb to see it. And... the room. The room of ideas. Thats Tonys workshop. Its somewhere you have to work to get allowed in, its filled with things that [Tony/Coda] is passionate about, it reveals that the owner isnt entirely cold and distant. You've got to work to get there.

Va - This is the song that plays during the housekeeping level. Complete transparency: this one is my favorite. Up to this point, Davey has observed that Coda seems to be talking to himself continuously. This level comes right after the prison games, when Coda spoke to his past self on the phone. The level opens with Davey pondering aloud: "So what would it look like if Coda wanted to make a game about talking to someone other than himself?" The game that follows includes the player repetitively cleaning a house, chatting with a profesional housekeeper who gives the player instructions. Its later revealed that the housekeeping game was intended to loop forever. with the player continuously cleaning the same things over and over, chatting with a friend who is equally passionate. Davey claims that "This [game was developed] during a period of a few months where he was grossly happy, all the time, just walked around with a constant smile on his face." "Va" plays throughout the level.

Va - This song is SO pre-endgame Tony. What would Tony like more than to engage in repetitive tasks with someone who cares equally about the task? If you dont think Tony would enjoy that repetitive passion, ask Pepper during IM3 how many Iron Man suits Tony made. If you dont think Tony would enjoy having someone equally passionate to chat with throughout, tell me why Tony coded Jarvis to respond to sarcasm with sarcasm. Tony describes himself as a mechanic, and i truly believe that he conciders his "mechanic" self to be the best version of him. So I think he would be his happiest as a mechanic, or as a "housecleaner", simply creating over and over with an audience to discuss WHY he loves it. Someone who believes him about how calming the process it.

Machine - This is from the Machine level. (Side note, but I find it interesting that this is one of the only songs that has the same title as the level its in. To me, thats a testimony to this level being about the destruction of creativity for the sake of creativity itself. but thats a side note). The machine level is the one in which the player observes Coda, the machine, fail to create, and so the player destroys everything the machine has ever created.

Machine - This song is in the playlist because of one of my WIPs. In the story, Tony never finds the cure to his blood poisoning in IM2, and he slowly convinces the people around him to stop associating him him. He destroys almost everything he's ever made in an attempt to avoid it being used for harm after his death. In the end, he dosn't die. someone else comes up with the cure, and Tony is left with nothing he once had, knowing he wasnt good enough to save himself.

D.S Al Coda - This is the song that plays after Coda is revealed to have stopped because of Davey. This song, to me, just summarizes the whole concept of declaring someone elses identity through supervising their creation.

D.S Al Coda - This is a Tony song simply because I believe he would find the game interesting lol. The song just represents the game to me, and I would liek Tonys throughts on the game.

While I'm on my Arkham bullshit, you know I haven't seen or made any thots about? Black Mask. Like when it comes to Arkham Origins daddies, Slade steals the show but Roman is legit hot in that game. It helps that he's a genuine mobster and threat (until the plot says it's actually Joker because God fucking forbid we have a Batman adaptation without him front and center), and that his mask is way less goofy looking than in Arkham City.

He'd def call his Darling affectionate names: Doll, Kitty, Sweets, etc. He's a bonafide member of the Pizza Pasta Force and he has so many Italian names and phrases: tesoro, cara, principessa, cucciola, puzolla, etc. That also applies to when he's upset and berating them, which unfortunately happens more often than he'd like. They just don't want to listen, or appreciate the things he's done for them. He uses his wealth and power to keep them spoiled and safe in a goddamn penthouse, and they act like he's keeping them prisoner!

The word "no" doesn't matter to him; if he wants something or someone, he gets them. So a Darling rejecting his advances just means they need persuading or..."persuading." Suddenly they're in trouble at work, their landlord is increasing rent by way too much, etc. And Roman's many gifts and notes come with the insistence of just one dinner with him. Just one evening and all their problems go away. And the problems just keep piling up until they give in.

True to his word though, he makes those problems disappear. But he does that by moving Darling into his place. Hey, no need to worry about rent or your asshole boss now right?

Big D stands for Big Demeanor AND Big Dom. Everything Darling does to him is because he tells them to, and he's the type to punish a Darling in bed: Spanking, grabbing their throat, forced cock warming, edging and denial, etc. But whenever he's rough and isnt punishing them, he always treats them with tons of aftercare and gifts afterward.

It isn't a matter of if he's fucked Darling at his desk, it's a matter of when and how often. ok so im terrible at explaining BUT i love rambling. so lets get into it!

rain world is a survival simulator. at its core, this is the game. you play as a slugcat (the stories of which vary based on the campaign). the goal of the game, really, is exploration. survival doesnt truly matter until either crossing through a gate into another region or in ascension endings.

generally, the story revolves around the iterators, though some downpour scugs have stories more focused on them. through taking pearls (which have information on them) to looks to the moon (an iterator), you learn more about the past of this dangerous world.

iterators were built by the ancients, a society now gone due to their attempt to escape the cycle. the iterators were created for this purpose; to find a solution that would allow the ancients to ascend without going into the void sea (the classic route). after the mass ascension of the ancients, an iterator named sliver of straw gave the triple affirmative, declaring that the solution had been found. heres the issue, though: she died right after. so? the iterators are left to speculate. this is the catalyst for the story you slowly learn about, or even contribute to, throughout the game. throughout the game, you can visit the iterators five pebbles and looks to the moon and learn their stories. the rest of the local group of iterators includes no significant harassment, seven red suns, chasing/gray wind, and unparalleled innocence. only the first two are ever depicted in game, though they cant be visited. they get splash screens!

the general gameplay loop involves exploring, perhaps collecting pearls or other items to take to looks to the moon if you reach her, eating to sate hunger, and returning to a shelter in time for the end of the cycle. at the end of each cycle comes the rain, caused by the still-standing five pebbles, a grouchy iterator who gives you the mark of communication, allowing you to talk to him and looks to the moon, his big sister. this rain is deadly; it will kill you after a little while. there are many regions to explore, all of which are accessed by finding and entering through karma gates. karma increases with each successful cycle, and decreases when you die. there is no penalty for losing karma; you will simply be unable to move on until you replenish it through a few cycles. karma flowers prevent this from dropping for a single cycle. the goal, once karma 10 is reached, is to either ascend in the void sea, or reach the campaign‘s specific ending (which typically doesnt actually require karma 10! only ascension does).

in the base game, there are three slugcats to choose from. monk (yellow, "easy" mode), survivor (regular mode), and hunter (hard mode). now, these scugs do have their own stories, though monk and survivors are somewhat similar (they are siblings, by the way)! when i say monk is easy mode, take that with a grain of salt. rain world is a very cool game, but it isnt easy. especially on console.

there is also a dlc, rain world downpour. it adds the slugcats artificer, gourmand, rivulet, spearmaster, saint, and inv (who is actually a bonus campaign meant as a developer easter egg. also they have a dating sim). these slugcats each have their own tales to tell, all at different points in the timeline. they are unlocked progressively as you complete campaigns! i wont be spoiling them, though!

Chapter 1

Treech tbosas X fem mentor!Reader

A/N: i never wrote fanfic before so…plus english isnt my first language so sorry if this sucks.

(Y/N) walked into the academy with a frown on her face. She never liked this place. Filled with ignorant, self absorbed, spoiled brats that have no idea how the real world works. Or rather how the district works. To her the idea of sending kids into a game to fight to the death was absurd and cruel, why should they pay for crimes they never committed? Most of these kids where 2-8 years old when the war ended why should they possibly pay for the crimes of their parent or grandparents? Either way she had to play a part to survive. It wouldn’t help anyone if she boiced her opinions and get herself killed.

She walked over to her group of friend.

Festus, Clemensia, Arachne and finally Coriolanus

She always had a bad feeling about Coriolanus. She always thought him a liar, she could always tell when someone is lying and he often does. She doesn’t know why he lies but she never says anything either. A part of her fears him, he gives her an odd feeling whenever he’s around but nevertheless she knew him since childhood and he did have a place in her heart, but that doesn’t mean they’re particularly close. They speak to eachother and hang out alone from time to time but theirs always been something blocking then from getting closer. Maybe its how uncomfortable she can get around him.

As she reached her friends she heard Arachne say something to Coriolanus about Sejanus Plinth.

“Oh c’mon Coryo we all know you like him so dont act as if he bothers you.” Arachne said.

“I don’t like him, I tolerate him. He’s district.” Coriolanus replied in a firm tone as you stood behind him.

“ I don’t think he’s so bad guys I actually like him. He’s so sweet once you get to know him and he has a higher status than most of us so i don’t think we should be making fun of him.”

Coriolanus jumped as you voiced your opinion behind him. He grabbed your arm and pulled you besides him.

“How many times i gotta tell you to stop sneaking up on people.” Coriolanus said.

You could tell by the way he gritted his teeth while speaking to you that he was annoyed at you. You had a bad habit of sneaking up on people. Its not like you do it on purpose you’re always just kind of their.

“I’m sorry coryo..i thought maybe you heard my footsteps”

“Nobody ever hears or sees you coming sweetheart you need to learn to announce yourself before talking it can really scare people sometimes. Bad manners.” Festus said with his everyday smirk.

“We should start heading to the reaping ceremony to see who our tributes are.” Clemensia said changing the topic.

Everyone agreed and walked into the room where the reaping for the tributes will be shown. You sat inbetween Coriolanus and Sejanus as the head gamemaker gave a speech about the games and then the Dean Highbottom explained the rest.

As the reaping started you had a pit in your stomach.

What if you cant help your tribute survive?

What if you grow attached to them?

What if they hate you for participating in making them a spectacle?

All that thinking stopped once you heard your name get called.

“(Y/N) (L/N)…District 7, boy.”

You look up at the screen and see a boy with the name “Treech” look into the camera with glossy eyes. He had brown hair, brown eyes and tanned skin. You couldn’t help but think him handsome.

You quickly averted your gaze somewhere else after they moved on to the district 8 tributes. How could this be happening? How where you suppose to help Treech win against 23 other tributes? How are you suppose to keep him alive when you wont be with him? How are you even gonna help him when you have no combat experience or enough social experience to atleast turn him into a spectacle viewers would like?

All this thinking came to and end as you averted your eyes back to the screens and saw the district 12 female tribute named Lucy Grey sing a song infront of the cameras.

How odd..to sing after getting called to your prominent death. You looked over at Coriolanus and saw a slight smirk on his face.

After the reaping ceremony you sat on the stairs of the academy waiting for your driver to arrive. Treech hadn’t left your mind and your going crazy thinking about how you could possibly help him survive. You looked around to see if their where anyone else still here and saw Coriolanus walked down the stairs.

“Coryo!”

He turned and looked at you with a blank stare.

“(Y/N), need something?”

The stare gave you a slight shiver but you trusted him anyways.

“I can’t stop thinking about my tribute…i feel..i feel this sort of anxiety that if he dies it’ll be my fault for not helping him, preparing him better.” You said looking at him with tired eyes.

His face softened as he sat next to you.

“I’m going to sneak to the trains when the tributes arrive to meet my tribute…come with me..”

You looked at him face in awe. This is unlike him breaking the ruled nevertheless you agreed.

“I’d love to…thank you for inviting me Coryo..”

He nodded as your driver arrived and parked infront of the school.

“Well…thats my ride..how about you? How are you getting home?” You ask him curiously, you never once say Coriolanus driver come to school. Not to drop him off or pick him up.

“Uh..my driver said he’d be late..” he said but you could tell he’s lying. You never ask him why he lies because he probably wont admit it.

“I can ask my driver to drop you off.” You offered

“Uh no..no its fine i wouldn’t want to cause you or your driver trouble.”

“Coryo I insist! Or how about you stay over? Like a sleepover? You could borrow some of my brothers clothing he left behind..i mean we’re going to the train station tomorrow anyways.”

He looked hesitant to accept.

“We could cook dinner together…watch movies..?”

As soon you spoke about cooking dinner his face lit up and he accepted.

“Yes yes that sounds great. Uh…if we cook can i bring some of the food for my grandma’am and cousin? They both just love it when i cook..”

Lie, obvious lie. Why would he cook if he supposedly has a chef?

“Sure..”

“And also i’ll have to call my cousin to bring me some clothes for tomorrow..”

“Yeah thats fine Coryo..c’mon we should go wouldnt want to keep my driver waiting.”

By the time you two reached your mansion you both changed into comfortable clothing and went to your room.

“You can sleep in my bed and i sleep on the couch or we could both sleep on the bed..”

“Uh..I wouldn’t want to kick you out of your own bed so second option..”

The air was a bit tense but as the hours went by you both where talking and laughing.

It was getting late and you both needed to be up early to sneak to the train station.

You need to be up earlier tho because you wanted to cook Treech a nice little meal as a way to welcome him and maybe even get him to like you. All you can think about was the responsibility of his life on your shoulders. You laid in bed with a distance between you and Coriolanus slowly drifting off to sleep.

Thats all i got gang. If this doesn’t flop i’ll think about maybe making a chapter 2. Anyways happy holidays🎄

Late night rambling about g-corp Gregor hurt/comfort don’t mind me- (prolly don’t need to spoil for canto 1 (and very mild 2&3???) spoilers, but I sure as heck ain’t taking chances. Also yeah body horror, bug, and war talk ahead)

Look at that man and tell me he ISNT touch starved af. I can feel it in my bones.

Between Hermann not exactly being ma of the year, war being an absolute bitch, as well as the buggy features tend to be off putting to people, I’m willing to bet that he hasn’t received a good hug in a long while. I like to think that it sorta stretches between all 3 ids, but g corp’s case is PARTICULARLY bad because he has the displeasure of still being in the smoke wars. This version will tell you he’s fine and doesn’t necessarily need special treatment or attention like a good soldier, but so much as a gentle pat on the back or head and you will clearly see him blue screen for a second. Lord knows how much he would love to experience it again, but he also knows how much he ain’t exactly ready to express that.

With all that said, I think that would be extra particularly sweet if Rodya were to actually prompt him to give him a hug. Like, not even as a shipping sorta sense. Out of all the company, she’s arguably the most personable next to Gregor and is actually willing to give comfort and support if needed if her treatment of Sinclair in Canto 2 & 3 are to be trusted. Like sure, in game dialogue says that Rodya said some unsavory things about this version of bug man, but the idea that in a quiet enough moment where they’re just together with not much, Rodya being the one to bring up the fact that he’s always keeping up this tense Grade-A soldier act. The idea of her saying how he can let himself rest for a second, and just let himself go. It doesn’t get through to him at first, but in an act to show him, despite all her previous comments

Wordlessly opens her arms towards him.

He scans her up and down, still not sure what it means yet, and she just says simply “Well?” No teasing, no snark, just plain and simple. Finally taking the hint, he comes up to her awkwardly and wraps his elongated arms around her. She won’t lie and say that it doesn’t make her at least a little bit freaked out by it all, but she can tell that he probably needs this more than whatever feelings she may have bubbling in her mind, and pats little circles between his twitchy wings. She feels that he isn’t exactly moving much, but after a few moments

She can feel him clinging onto her more than ever, burying himself into the hug.

the fishermen and the worm :( i first heard it got gone when i randomly got a dm on reddit of all places bc once upon a time i commented on a post recommending it as a creepy game that doesnt look like horror at first, n the person basically went 'yeah hey do u still have the files for this bc turns out its gone from the net' n im like AGH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bc i lost those in between moving computers many times

AND THEN. THE REAL GAME BEGINS. you see bc every place in this world is called an 'age', n the more you traverse it, the weirder n often times creepier it gets n the more u get the feeling this is kind of telling the story of someones life? but you cant figure out who. not yet at least. without spoiling too much though, i rly like all the diff visual n style changes for every age, the next age you encoutner right after you move away from the worms spot is genuinely really fucking creepy n with this genuinely NASTY looking grit to it n it only gets more fucked up the more u play through it. thats around the point where i realized OH. oh ive been tricked. this ISNT a silly goofy haha rpgmaker game thats short n sweet! THIS IS A SCARY GAME!

but as ive said every age has a diff look to it, one other is psychedelic, another almost looks like a dr seuss book... so on. eventually, everything starts coming together, n what i rly like about this game is that it doesnt just give u dead ends, it expects you to be smart to figure it out, yes, but it also gives you PLENTY of evidence to figure it out n flat out tells you some stuff n by the end youre probably gonna just naturally know what happened.

i will also say looking back on it i rly appreciate the underlying theme of being gay n growing up gay n how the world aorund you affects you, theres like, SOME REALLY DARK fucking themes when you really get down to it and actually study the full on implications of what its trying to tell you. it rly gets dark with like, how bad homophobia can get n how heartbreaking n desolate sometimes the experience of being a gay kid can be when u have no one who you think you can trust n then growing up into a gay adult whos just getting more confused n worried about the future n sometimes even getting taken advantage of.

but despite all the horror n darkness... its a game that knows when to give you plenty of breathers, the three main characters are so charming they just shine naturally, they combat all the darkness by just being themselves. theyre not the ones who lived through all this horrible crap, theyre just bright little cartoon guys who want to go fish! n by god(s, in this games case) theyre gonna do it!!! n in the end... they may just decide to make things better for everyone else. the game has a good ending. its good guys. the game is good.

I say this because everytime that I'm reminded of the fact that eddie not only refused to change the date like he has some sort of complex because of some petty high school drama that he's definitely way too old to care about (and expressly distastes), but he also aggressively refused and manhandled dustin and mike around (it looked like he hurt their arms like???) into finding a sub

I get so irritated, not even just because it's a "he wouldn't say that" moment

but because actual dms that aren't fucking asshole pricks (like they portrayed eddie in this scene, I'm sorry but we have to admit that eddie is an asshole dm), especially one who allegedly doesn't give a fuck about the high school hierarchy or cliques, would be understanding of a scheduling conflict

I appreciate fics so much that fix this btw

because dnd doesn't have to be at school, they can reschedule so easily to literally the next day

I get that its a club and likely the only day they plan to have dnd, but i doubt that they have very much else to do as high schoolers unless they have jobs (though there's no evidence to suggest anyone does)

they could reschedule band practice and host dnd then, if its that much of a scheduling issue

if they truly don't want to go to the balls in laundry baskets game, they could even SWAP band practice day with dnd day and not go, the only ones who want to go are lucas, dustin, and mike who aren't in the band

and thats another thing, that game has probably been brought up WAY before the day of, lucas definitely wouldn't have waited until the LAST MOMENT to talk about the scheduling, even if it's frame that way

and even then, this likely isn't the first friday game lucas has been apart of, and it most certainly isn't likely that eddie was unaware that lucas played basketball or knew what days it'd be on

at the very least, eddie would know how important basketball is to lucas, he shouldn't give a shit if he's trying to be both a jock and a nerd

it just irritates me so much

like, given his character and what we learn about him later and even what we knew about him up to that point, it is so fucking out of character for him how he treated that situation

in fact, given how sports games are mostly held on the same couple of days, with the most important ones landing on fridays, I wouldn't be surprised if eddie originally chose fridays as hellfire days as a fuck you to the jocks

that much is in character, but blatantly icing out one of his "sheep" because of having another hobby, even if it is being a jock, is not

especially given his interaction with chrissy literally moments later, fuck, chrissy's death (in the munson trailer, anyway) could've been avoided entirely if they'd just rescheduled dnd until after the game later on the same day

maybe I'm just spoiled because I've been in the same campaign for a year now and scheduling conflicts have never been an issue, like if we can't have a session, "its fine, there's always next week"

but every campaign except for one has been like this, most of my dms have been very forgiving, so the fact that eddie is not, when he's later portrayed differently, is upsetting

but that brings me to another thing, dustin, mike, and eddie act like summer break means they can't finish the campaign, when it really just means no hellfire club as a set time and place for sessions, they could literally finish up with the first few weeks of summer??? jeff probably isnt moving away as soon as he graduates high school???

and they LITERALLY played dnd in the wheeler basement for YEARS before this, scheduling and location, and even SCHOOL, are NOT AN ISSUE so why is it treated as one? because that's the only logical reason (that isn't super fucking petty) that I can think of for why eddie would say no to rescheduling

I get that it was to progress the plot with a dramatic paralleled scene and even for character development and to create conflict, but they obviously could've easily done that differently without making eddie an ass

it basically feels like eddie doesn't exist out of a school setting, which is stupid because you'd think he'd at least know dnd can happen when school isn't in session

its probably the one thing I would change about s4 if given the option to change anything

fucking hell, mike's taking a flight to california the next day, they could've even rescheduled hellfire for earlier in the week

Rdr2, i wont say anything because i somehow managed to not have it spoiled at all for me before i played it and i never wanna spoil that game for anyone else but i will say that is the only time ive ever cried over a video game, that ending moved me i still think about it all the time

Ill give two answers because i love the witcher (books, show and games) but I’ve only played the third game, id definitely recommend it as a starting point, ik its the only game a lot of witcher fans have played (and you dont really even need to be a fan of the witcher to play it) and no offence to the other games, i cant wait to play the new version of the first one when it comes out but i play all my games with a controller and neither of the first two games work with a controller so

And second answer is call of duty, first game i played was modern warfare remastered and that’s definitely the best game to start with campaign wise (usually when i talk about cod im talking about the campaign)

For twd games you dont need to be a fan of the series at all it just takes place in the same universe as the show, there are a few characters from the show that make an appearance but you dont need to know that they introduce themselves and make an impression in the game anyway. I dont wanna say a lot about the story because knowing me ill get way too into it and spoil it but also know you dont need to be a fan of horror games to play it!! Im not a fan of horror games but i love twd, its more story than scary zombie stuff but thats not saying there isnt any. If you do play these games and have a bad feeling about something just look up what happens and how to get through it quickly, or take a break <3

LoZ BotW Wrap Up

Sadly this marks the last post of the original play-through, and I'm unlikely to pick it up from this point 4 years later [at least not until I'm actually able to let's play games like I'd prefer]. Which is kind of a shame tho bc like a fool, this means me saving the best for last never actually happened. Because the Gerudo man!!!

I remember I had a lot of thoughts on the Gerudo, because I always do LOL I am always intrigued by their role in the story just for the fact alone that Ganon is from this race and they often are in vastly different situations in each game because of it. Like in OoT they're at war with Hyrule bc of Ganon, but there are some who arent cool with that. In TP it's strongly implied Selma is descended from the Gerudo, but otherwise they seem to have been wiped out. Same for WW, where theres really no hint of them at all.

In BotW though they are flourishing really, and well aware of Ganons origins from them. Urbosa makes a point that he's their responsibility, and that she takes pleasure in helping to rid the world of him. So I have to think since they have good relations with others, that the Gerudo of this game hold no love for Ganon and had to work past that stigma. Its also interesting that [to my memory] they dont seem to have had a male Gerudo of significance since. Perhaps because of Ganon they haven't been observing the whole "that one male every 100 years gets to be king" thing? But the possibility of it certainly is still a thing, since you can buy male clothes for gerudo, albeit in secret

No I'm not going to talk about the gender and the cross dressing thing bc uuuuhhhh you know why =_=;;; I'm sure theres essays about it, I remember a lot of discussion about it at the time.

However I am interested in talking about those 8 matron deities the Gerudo here have??!!?! I love this! I am so fascinated by this and want to know more! It appears to be the only mention of any other religion outside Hylia to my memory. And one of them is even forsaken?? In the mountains??? What happened with that??!! I dearly hope that it might be something expanded on in TotK, but I may be asking for a lot lol

Side note also, I adore Riju, she's so cute and is carrying so much on those shoulders and the hat doesn't even fit on her head yet lmaooo

Extra side note, I actually really loved in the final memory viewing, that tiny hint that Fi is still there in the sword.

I did also get the Champion DLC, and while that first trial bit sucked ass, I did like the little memory additions we got for the Champions and the options to learn more about them in their diaries!

Overall I loved BotW though, it was a fun game to play and a very interesting take on Zelda. Its honestly the one that feels closest to the OG, which I think was the idea lol I'm interested to see how the series will move forward

ive had this sitting in my downloads for a while now (no this isnt available on steam YET but it's free on itch.io so 👀👀) and i only got to it now. i initially got it bc of the whole tattoo artist x florist trope which is one of my fave tropes Ever and also bc i love tulips a normal amount (<- lying)

it's a kinetic visual novel, meaning theres actually no choices and it's basically just a bunch of clicking. and fangirling. the amount of times i thought Ya Allah during this was phenomenal. it was that cute

the mc, chrys (pronounced chris, it's supposed to be a reference to chrysanthemum) is this sarcastic white blonde twink who's so unlucky when it comes to romantic relationships and he just got out of a bad breakup and hes like I Am Never Dating Ever Again until one day the love interest, shay, who is this angelic tall hunk 6 pack-having guy walks into his flower shop then he thinks Nevermind I Am Going to Fuck the Living Daylights Out of This Guy

it's a bit of a slow burn i guess? they actually try to take it slow but like they end up getting together after a week so. and also another thing in the epilogue but i dont wanna spoil too much

the characters are all so goddamn loveable, from our beloved twink to even chrys' sister, daphne who only appeared for one scene. plenty relatable too. the amount of times i thought "they just like me fr" is insane. wish there were pets or animals or smth tho smh

the art is really nice, especially the character sprites and the flower shop itself but i find a few other locations a bit lacking, like the quality isnt that consistent. i mean i can kinda understand why? but it's just a bit of a nitpick. also i dont like granny's pose, it's weird, dont do her dirty like that

the voice acting is actually so good. sometimes it sounds a bit awkward but there are some moments that make up for the lesser moments. tho there were a few moments where i was like "why isnt this voiced??"

okay moving on to some of my actual complaints BUT i want to mention that i did download this a while ago like i said and i have no idea if my copy is the most updated one (it says 1.0 on the file so) so i wouldnt know if these issues have been fixed or not. but im gonna address them anyway

theres been a few times where the script/text looks... awkward? some dont align with the line delivery, some punctuations are just weird choices to make. and a lot of sentences end with a comma instead of a period

theres also this one scene where bea repeats a voiceline even tho the text is different. again, idk if they fixed it but it was glaringly obvious

but despite it all, it was a really really cute vn and i really do recommend it

okay so the full title is. ZERO ESCAPE: 9 HOURS, 9 PERSONS, 9 DOORS. aka usually abbreviated to 999. its a visual novel game that was released in 2009 for nintendo ds it is a masterpiece it is probably the best game to ever ever ever ever and my favorite zero escape game is zero escape: virtue's last reward. VLR. 999 AND VLR are both listed on steam as ZERO ESCAPE: THE NONARY GAMES. 999 is the very rirst game in th3 series!

The main character in 999 is a pathetic college guy name junpei. his last name is redacted and that is for a REASON. he is basically just a guy and he dressed like the kid from the back to the future. marty mcfly right.

anyways he gets kidnapped and wakes up in a room that quickly begins filling with water. congrats! you have nine hours! ofc it isnt measured by real time its got its own plot devices for moving the time along.

junpei along with seven other people (it was eight...) have to find the door with the number 9 on it and escape before the nine hours is up, or they will all die

i think 999 is the tamest when it comes to showing brutal gory deaths. ZTD (zero time dilemma) is the harshest imo. like youll see blood but i think its the most tasteful.

perfect for people who like multiple timeline games with lots of endings and game overs! and the benefit of the steam version besides the voice acting (sorry everyone i like the voices) is that u dont have to literally replay EVERYTHING. u can and i think u should but u can just go back to the last fork and choose the other option if u want. i think the ending is better executed in the ds version tho, just by visuals alone.
