Engulfed in Memories to Share with Mesa Verde National Park by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: A setting looking to the southeast while taking in views across cliff dwellings present at the Spruce Tree House in Mesa Verde National Park. This is from an overlook walk while I began hiking the Petroglyph Point Trail. My thought on composing this image was to capture of you of the cliff dwellings and have them run across the image center. I've pulled back a little more on the focal length so that I could include some of the trees and nearby surroundings as a foreground interest and have a layered look beyond. The cliff wall above was also important as it added to the setting and story for how the Ancestral Puebloan people would have to go up and down the walls to get to those dwellings.

Another beautiful day! A bit cooler than yesterday but yesterday was abnormal for this time of year.

I got stuck behind a slow moving vehicle on my way to work, good thing I usually leave early, I didn’t leave as early as yesterday though.

I got the other dress I ordered online, it’s also oversized, I think if I get more of this dresses I’ll get a size smaller cause they’re pretty big. Comfortable though. I got some tights to wear in the winter time. I don’t remember the last time I wore a pair. They’re okay.

I went yesterday to see if I could find some more fall decorations cause I have a lot of Halloween and especially Christmas but I don’t have as many fall ones. I found a really nice centerpiece that I can use on November and December.

Today is Election Day. David voted already on his way to work. I’ll vote this afternoon.

The Road Into Waterton Lakes National Park by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: While at a roadside pull off with a view looking to the southwest along the main park road in Waterton Lakes National Park. With this image, I wanted to capture a view using the sweeping road ahead as a leading line into the image with the ridges and peaks in the national park as a backdrop. While the weather was mostly cloudy to overcast, I was able to bring out many much of the details present in the mountainside, along with a realistic color. The mountains as a backdrop to the Prince of Wales Hotel based on the PeakVisor app on my iPhone are Bertha Peak and Mount Crandell.

Happy eclipse day!

I’m about 3 hours away from totality, but not driving out. I start the new job tomorrow and was afraid about hitting traffic on the way back, plus we’re supposed to have less cloud cover here. 92.3% coverage is gonna be pretty cool still!

Debating if I want to hike out to the big clearing in the woods out back to watch or if I just wanna chill in the front yard lol.

#I’m so excited #I got to see the one in 2017 but we were further away from totality #clouds are supposed to move in around the time of the eclipse #but it’s supposed to be partly cloudy here vs mostly cloudy at the closest point of totality #I think it’s supposed to be the higher altitude wispy stuff that we’ll hopefully be able to see through also #welp wish me luck! #and I wish for clear skies for all of you who are going out to watch it!
