I probably don't state it enough on this blog, but:

Romantic ships (including kisses) over here are slow-burns, full of yearning and awkwardness and a roller coaster of feels. Will-they-won't-they is the order of the day until the moment finally happens when it clicks that two muses really do care for each other.

Of course it's not smooth sailing from there, it never is (oh, I love putting Sonia's romances through hell and back!). But it's a journey just to fully understand that 1. Sonia is in love with someone. Not just admiration or infatuation, but love. 2. They love her back. 3. She understands they love her back (possibly the most challenging part of it all) and 4. They understand she loves them too.

It's about the yearning.

Princess Daisy's capabilities as a ruler being disregarded because she's loud, hotheaded and emotional, leading her to be perceived by many as immature and impulsive.

Luigi's capabilities as a hero being disregarded because he's awkward, nervous and emotional, leading him to be perceived by many as weak and pathetic.

Both of them recognizing the value inherent in each other's feelings while simultaneously seeing the strength and potential in one another that they are unable to see in themselves. Do you feel me?

But they wouldn't know what it's like to deal with a sibling who's literally lovesick. To enter a room and find their brother hunched over and grimacing in obvious distress, his eyes lost and imploring as he would turn and say: "I love her so much, Lou... I- it hurts," with pained and hopeless surrender. To listen to his enamored ramblings for hours on end, yet only have vague and constrained support to offer. To see him hurting so badly on some days, and somehow still having to refrain from grabbing him by the shoulders and yelling "She LOVES you, ebete!!" to his bewildered face. Oh, to just end that needless suffering... It would be so easy. But he can't. When all would be pleasant and bright, he wouldn't mind, and would even take some enjoyment from what he secretly knows... But there would also be times - disheartened and crestfallen - when that silent vow would be very hard for Luigi to keep. 🥺😣

…Headcanon that the next time Kaveh gets in trouble in desert (where he is on a research trip with Alhaitham) and is lost/separated from his companion, the three desert foxes come to his help out of nowhere and lead him back to Alhaitham.

When they are back and Alhaitham listens to Kaveh telling him about how the foxes helped him, one of the aforementioned foxes intensely stares Alhaitham dead in the eyes. Alhaitham stares back at it, and after a few moments barely noticeably nods.

For the sake of his (exhausted after a whole day in the desert) sanity Kaveh asks no questions. Alhaitham acts like nothing happened. The foxes return to the desert the next day when they depart.

A silent “We entrust the good human to you. Please, take care of him,” remains a small secret between the desert and the scribe (as well as a request he will gladly see to).

OK, now that I thought about it for a bit, here’s some pronouns headcanons for Stranger’s alters.

Stranger, as a collective exclusively uses They/Them

Neutral: any and all pronouns. as long as it’s referring to her, it fits

Harsh: She/They

Soft: She/It

Monster: It/Its

Emo: He/She/They

my reasoning for Soft and Harsh is the names they give LQ. Soft is more in touch with them as a concept, and so relates more to it/its. Harsh, meanwhile, is more in touch with the individual roles they play, and so relates to they/them more. Both are ‘she’ too simply because it feels right.

As for Emo using He/They/She…………… because Yes, and why the heck not?

you know i do wonder how many sonic characters actually have living parents. like knuckles is the last of his kind so obviously his parents arent around anymore. both guys who could be considered shadows dads are 100 percent confirmed dead. sonic is canonically an orphan im pretty sure. and on the other side of the coin cream is like the only character in the game cast who has a living parent we actually see onscreen. but what about everyone else i dont think theres a straight answer for any other character. other than rouge's mom being mentioned a couple times i Guess but we dont even know anything about her or if shes still alive just that she existed at some point. are these kids constantly putting themselves in danger because they dont have parents around to stop them or because their parents just dont care

Those are the ones that actively takes up more brain space, and ones which I most rotate around my head. Here’s some general dynamics I like exploring:

North Star (Cold/Oppy): their toxic yaoi wouldn’t last a year and be horrible for the both of them (mainly Oppy), and I’m all here for it.

Smitten and Skeptic, while not in OTBesties tier for me, is also a friendship I’m very fond of. I think they’d have coffee in the morning together.

Nightmare’s possible dynamic with anyone would be so interesting to explore, but especially with Tower– just. imagine the chaos

Speaking of– also Tower’s dynamic with Razor. Put her in the same room with some of the most relentless and violent vessels, I wanna see what happens

Wraith and Cheated would be an interesting dynamic when taken out from their chapter’s context tbh– Wraith is resentful because of how she’s been treated and only resorted to those drastic actions because that’s what you left her with. I think Cheated would sympathize with that and realize the hand he played (if you get him in her chapter) to get her like this.

Oppy and Hunted feel like they’d have a weirdly close and strong bond. Not OTBesties or explicitly romantic, but a secret fourth thing

Oppy and Contra have beef at first sight to me. They either completely ignore each other, or swear to make the other day’s worse, whatever they feel like atm

Also– since me and the folks in the discord started headcanon that while alive, Narrator could’ve been groomed by a cult and that’s why he has such a deep fear of death, and think eternal bliss is the best alternative for that– I’d like to see more of his dynamic with Broken. In a what-if scenario where they both got over enough of their bagage to have an actual conversation together, I think they’d have a lot to talk about.

Also, shout-out to my Happily Single Tokens, aka, characters I hc as non-partnering/not interested in romance/‘just not in the mood for it, dude’:
