I have this scenario where Jude and Cardan begrudingly played together as children. I picture it like this:

10 year old Jude has just had a fight with Taryn, Madoc has just married Oriana and taken in Oak. To blow off steam she walks through the forests of Faerie and happens upon a pond, tucked away behind trees and flowers. Jude sets up camp here until Cardan emerges from the shrubbery. (They have a vague idea of who the other is, idk if they were in school together yet but lets keep rolling with the thought...)

I imagine Cardan splashing Jude, and Jude splashing Cardan back until they end up chatting, they eventually gather flowers and make a 'garden soup' in an empty tree trunk. Jude tells him it's what she used to do with her friends back 'home'. They get along well enough until Jude decides she should head back home. Cardan stays longer because he has no where else to really go.

Maybe Jude forgets the memory as years pass and Cardan grows more cruel, but buried deep in the back of Cardan's mind he holds on to the memory of the first afternoon they were able to be friendly.

some kylar headcanons because i adore them and cant stop thinking about them

sometimes goes to fancy galas and benefits that their parents are invited to, mostly to keep up appearances and keep people from being too suspicious, any other teens there hate them but they have a couple of adults wrapped around their finger because they do the whole "my parents aren't really around anymore and im lonely but trying my best :(" (the other teens think this is an act but have no idea just how true it is)

they are (canonically actually) one of the smartest and most creative out of the love interests, despite this they cannot manage to beat robin at any video game even if they try to cheat and it pisses them off to no end

sometimes comes across some old experiments and work their parents were doing and tries to continue it for them, has actually made some pretty interesting advancements in some areas but always has to submit the work as being done by one of their parents and it annoys them a little bit that they cant come clean about it being their work, but theyll do anything for their parents so they continue on like this

speaking of their parents, sometimes people come to collect taxes and various payments regarding their manor and there are a few payments that some stubborn workers wont let kylar pay themselves, when this happens they go to tell their parents and they come out and start screeching at the worker until they run away and leave their baby alone, the workers who think kylar is a little lonely sweetheart never believe them when they start talking about 'monsters' at the manor

if the pc tells them about avery and that they scare the pc, kylar will become very jealous and very pissed about this and offer to become pc's sugar daddy/mommy themself so they dont have to see avery ever again

This might sound dumb, but what if there's actually something going on with William and the whole Summit situation is meant to be a distraction of sorts?

It's clear he planned all of this, but I feel like there's more to it than just testing if Vincent can be his sucessor.

Vincent and Lovely are going to be busy planning and managing the whole event.

Sam, Darlin' & the rest of the Shaw Pack are all going to be attending.

Alexis is absolutely going to attend just to see Vincent mess things up. (I personally feel like this is the reason why William invited her over and let her go so easily, by dropping the responsibility in Vincent's lap without any prior warning, and in front of her no less, it's almost guaranteed she'd get interested in seeing how the whole thing's going to go.)

Then there's the whole Porter situation. We don't know if he'll be attending or not, or if he's the reason why William decided not to go, but the main point is, nobody will be around Will during the Summit.

If anything were to happen to him there'd be nobody around to do anything about it, so maybe he's not testing Vincent but rather trying to protect him and the rest of the clan from something?

Ok I don’t know if Sam was the first one porter told he was in town or if he told will first BUTT what if he told will first and will didn’t tell Vincent bc he was going to try to deal with porter first. He probably didn’t acount for porter telling Sam because I’d dosnt seem like they were close. So he was going to try to keep porter away on short notice and had to mess with his plans.

Do we know if the summit is at the beginning or end of the month? Cause if it’s at the end of the month this might not work

pretty sure it was already implied but given that new lantern rite lore has been released i still think it's interesting about how the karmic debt amplifies their original like instabilities or conflicts; bonanus was complaining abt her skirt length and menogias was like No I Will Not Change It and then the one scene we got with them is them killing each other.... sighs and sobs. her + bosacius vs minu's design choices who would win

i think it would be neat if bonanus could talk to insects and calm plagues (does teyvat have locusts) but also be an incredible dps (if she was playable). also if bosacius was a catalyst (4 fists do a lot of damage but conjuring thunderbolts do more)

Do you ever think how Sebek is 16. And how Malleus and Lilia have said that 16 is the age of a newborn (fae). But Sebek looks like hes (more than, honestly) 16 in human years. So it's not hard to asume that he inherited the human lifespan, which makes his disdain of humans and his dad more explainable, and mostly about hating his own weaknesses. So Silver AND Sebek have to suffer :) Lilia and Malleus will outlive them. Sebek's mom and even grandpa will outlive them. And what impact they had on the lives of the people they love most, amounts timewise to the same as a dog to a human if not less.

I want to see more Trafalgar Law with religious trauma in fan fics, those Flevance's scenes of the nun telling him about hope and helping hands, only to be killed in the next scene along with all the children in his classroom in front of the cathedral is strong, carries a lot of meaning and a cruel feeling of being abandoned, if God is there watching everything that happens to me why would he let such a kind soul die in a brutal way like this?

The atrocities that took place in that city would make a skeptic of a saint and Law has always been a science person, can you imagine the guilt that can carry? Had he believed more would they have been saved? But the sister believed and look what happened. If he prayed more would his little sister have escaped too? These doubts coupled with resentment would make a good combination for a fic about religious trauma.

Regressor Yuna headcanons

~You can’t tell me that Yuna wouldn’t have severe trauma considering she’s been on her own for so many years and her parents genuinely just didn’t care where she was or what was happening to her.

~Yuna probably would have regressed a couple times before she got summoned to the other world but never actually knew what it meant. Probably vent regressing when she got too lonely. Maybe she researched a couple things online and found the term age regression and just brushed it off because, “well that couldn’t be me, I don’t have childhood trauma I must just be over tired.”

~Then when she meets Fina and her family and everyone else it just suddenly hits her like “oh. I had a really bad childhood huh? This is what a loving family’s supposed to be like.”

~After that she has a harder time not regressing whenever she gets back from a mission just from the overwhelming feeling of love and safety

~So Yuna gains the ability to turn Kumayuru and Kumakyuu into cubs. I forgot what she does to earn this power so I’ll instead share the idea that has been rotating around my head. She gains the power due to accepting her own regression.

~Yuna carrying around her bear cubs everywhere with her when she's small like they’re stuffed animals.

~Making childhood snacks like pudding and needing someone to tell her when regressed to stop eating desserts or she’s going to make herself sick

~The shyest little cub whenever she’s regressed. I feel like she’d trust Fina if she tried to coax Yuna out of her room but otherwise she just hides away.

~Fina doing her best to watch over Yuna when she’s small. She'd would definitely know how to look after her considering she took care of Shiri for years. And if Yuna gets really embarrassed she just tells her that it’s her way of making it up to her for all of the things she’s done. (Also Fina would probably be a regressor too but that’s for another post entirely)

~Probably made a bunch of little gear for herself but is 90% of the time too embarrassed to use it and even less so around anyone.

~Fina and Noa being very proud at being the “older siblings” whenever Yuna is small.

~Cliff is 100% father figure material for Yuna while she's small. Noa probably mentioning something about Yuna regressing and Cliff just going into protective father mode.

Grumpus Headcanons (1/3)

I finished my big list of headcanons about the Bugsnax characters and their pre-game relationships, and it turned out super long! So instead of using a readmore like normal people, I'm going to post it in three parts over three days.

These aren't, like, analytical headcanons; they're mostly just me making stuff up that I think is plausible. I meant to do this a year ago, and even already expanded a little in a fanfic on the headcanon about Chandlo being a small kid (here). But I got it done eventually! The idea is one headcanon for one character or relationship.

Character Headcanons (Eggabell Batternugget - Gramble Gigglefunny)

Eggabell Batternugget I think she actively studied Bugsnax with Floofty, as well as volunteering as a test subject, but I also think that has some backing in the game, so it's not the headcanon I'm talking about here. The headcanon is what she was studying: the nutritional value of Bugsnax. This is how she's able to be so confident that they're a perfectly balanced source of nutrition in her DLC interview. She also tried to figure out what exactly made them feel so good to eat. Being an endocrinologist, she guessed that it was some hormone, and made some progress in figuring out whether that was true, but then the earthquake happened.

Clumby Clumbernut She wasn't interested in joining the Snackolytes, and said no once Jamfoot was done talking about recruitment bonuses, though she knew he was telling her, not asking. But she was the last survivor of her expedition, and Jamfoot told her that she probably wouldn't last long all alone. Based on what she'd seen so far, Clumby agreed, so she joined up with the intention of going back on it once they were back on the mainland. But the Snakolytes were a lot bigger and more influential than she'd thought. They're also the reason she's continuing to do a job she hates.

Cromdo Face Hiding his singing is a habit left over from childhood, when he'd get in trouble if he did something fun when there was still work to be done. He also didn't have a lot of privacy, making it hard to find a time and place to sing that didn't annoy anyone. When he got married later, his singing also annoyed his husband. The idea that crime was the best shortcut to living comfortably was his own, though.

Filbo Fiddlepie I've made up my mind. He grew up with Lizbert; he's Grumpus American-Australian. His family moved to… I'm going to say Grumpus Sydney when his dad was a preteen, and his dad returned to New Grump City after finishing year twelve, then moved back to a smaller town when Filbo was a toddler. Filbo speaks American English to please his family, particularly his dad. Also he definitely did not get his pen licence in primary school. I've seen his handwriting in-game. I came up with a lot of extra stuff about Filbo's dad, for a story that's still in editing, but I'd sum up his attitude as "I love my cringe fail son".

Floofty Fizzlebean They've always been interested in biology and experimentation, but their parents impressed the importance of consent on them early. As a result, they've been experimenting on themself since before they were in their teens. They accidentally poisoned themself when they were sixteen. Snorpy found them, and they spent a week in the hospital. Also, their hair used to be a more vivid purple, for reasons unrelated to ageing.

Snorpy Fizzlebean First, psychotic Snorpy. That's an obvious one. But not all the stuff he believes is a delusion. I don't know enough about psychosis to go into detail, but he is aware of it, and so is Chandlo, and they have strategies. Less so for the conspiracy stuff, since Snorpy is unwilling to talk to Chandlo about that. And being on Snaktooth definitely made things worse. But, he really is being monitored by the "Grumpinati" (actually the Snakolytes), even if he's wrong about some of the details. They were involved in the artificial limbs project, as well as some other things that Snorpy noticed but blamed on the Grumpinati. They could disappear him, but he's off the mark about so much, and they think nobody would believe him anyway, so they don't bother.

Chandlo Funkbun If he didn't work out all the time, he'd be skinny as well as short. His body doesn't build muscle mass easily. He got beaten up a lot as a kid, because his school had a bullying problem, and he kept trying to intervene, while also being tiny. He started strength training as soon as he could, and got stronger pretty fast, but he stayed skinny until after puberty.

Gramble Gigglefunny He grew up in a very rural area, and concluded that if he wanted to find a family, he needed to be around more people. So he moved to New Grump City, and waited for a family to come to him. Instead, he learned the ways you can also be lonely in a big city. His preference for animals over people didn't help. Lizbert's expedition was his third attempt at finding a new family, as he thought he might get along better with the kind of people who'd go on this kind of expedition than with the people in his home town.

while byan's dyslexia and ptsd is a little up in the air in terms of diagnosis, they have been given a diagnosis of conduct disorder and oppositional defiant disorder through the mandatory counselling and the various psychiatric evaluations they've had throughout their life. ptsd, adhd, dyslexia, and depression are all assumed to be present as well, based on observation and information provided by teachers, caretakers, and foster parents, but remain unconfirmed due to byan's tendency to be extremely difficult with psychiatrists and psychologists and the inconsistency of the amount of time spent with those who have provided outside observation.

byan has, of course, never been cooperative in any treatment.

instead of picking which one to make reality, i have simply meshed the two together. my headcanon today is nemesis breaker falls to his beastly tendencies often, both as a result of having beast planet coding / letting that Lion:tm: take over, and Unicron's energy having an affect on his mind. however, quietly, he is studying the hell out of you all while chomping at your ass. while he launches himself at you in swipes and bites he's seeing how you're responding and what affects you most. he'll use this to change his attack to better wound his enemy.

the beastly side and the smart side balance each other like a seesaw, but you wouldn't initially think that with how he acts. im not going to say he's not always acting like a big cat, given his track record... but he can be smart.

The Future Force & The Millenium Items: How Would They Clash?

Note: In canon, Gao can harness the Future Force as well, but he cannot do it on command like Tasuku can and has only used it for the most part during Buddyfights (because plot). Though, I am unsure if I will have him get this power in his Yu-Gi-Oh! DM verse or not, since I am still deciding what 'canon' Buddyfight events can reasonably happen for this verse. So, we'll just focus on it in the context of Tasuku for now.

The Future Force, as I've described before such as on this post, is a power Tasuku possesses that allows him to manifest the power of Buddyfight cards into physical reality. The cards can be any cards he has access to, not just the ones in his own deck. It can be accessed through any 'Core Gadget', aka a Buddyfight Deck case / Duel Disk Equivalent that he is holding, but of course, he channels it the majority of the time through his own, the Star Pulsar. It manifests in his hair growing out long, a visual presentation of the power coming from another time flowing through him. He does not physically age using this power, however.

This power comes from his Future Self in the most literal sense. While we do not know the specifics of the power's origins or how Tasuku acquired it, we do know that according to Buddyfight Lore, if there is not a Tasuku alive in the future of the time period he is present in, he cannot use the power whatsoever (Buddyfight 100 shows this plainly when they travel to the future.). I like to think it comes from the power /potential his own future itself has/ a strong belief for the future, and the fact he is the 'Boy of Destiny' fated to save and protect the world and its future.

(Side Note Before We Continue: We know the power isn't exclusive, as I said at the top with Gao. That means there could be other potential candidates out there who could harness the power from their future selves. This could lead to interesting interactions perhaps. Like TBH, I feel like Kaiba might be an actual candidate for Future Force specifically because of his own potential future strength, belief in the future, and his own fate as a reincarnation of Priest Seto. But that's food for thought for another day. I just thought I'd mention it before moving on)

Now, with this power being at play, it brings into question how this power would interact with the main supernatural power in Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Millenium Items.

The 7 Millenium Items are ancient Egyptian artifacts harassing dark and shadow magic to do all sorts of powerful things dependent on the item. While they have a dark origin, these items as seen in the series, can be used for good or for evil. This is already a sharp contrast to the Future Force, which is specifically portrayed as a 'good' or 'heroic' power that is contrasted by its dark counterpart, the Disaster Force.

So, how would these powers interact? I do think it depends on the item. For items like the Necklace, Puzzle, Scale, that do not directly do anything to another individual for the most part, the powers would not interact. For every other item, I do think they'd clash in the sense they'd either cancel each other out or their ability has no effect on the other. Let me illustrate with some examples.

Rod: We know from the manga, if I recall, the Rod needs to physically touch someone in order to have it's mind control power used on them. Since one can manifest barrier-related cards into reality (Example: Green Dragon Shield or Earth Barrier), I think those would protect Tasuku from being affected/controlled. Though, his powers would not be able to break the Rod or its mind control on someone else, just like the Rod wouldn't be able to seal any cards he's brought to life back in their original form (like how it could with monsters in Ancient Egypt). Key/Ring: Tasuku could protect himself from his mind being entered or his soul being manipulated or sealed. However, he could not stop the item's user from going into someone's mind or manipulating their soul. He could still be tracked by the Ring as well, but I imagine if he is using his power, the tracking stops. Eye: Tasuku would be protected from having his mind or soul read in addition to his soul sealed in a Soul Prison, but he cannot prevent someone else's mind from being read or sealed away, or using his power to free someone from a Soul Prison. Shadow Game: If he was brought into a Shadow Game space, I imagine the powers of that space would not affect him as much (similar to how Atem could handle it during the game with Pegasus while Yugi could not). However, he also wouldn't be able to fully dispel it either if he was not involved. Object or Power Clash: I do not think any cards manifested by the Future Force (Example: Dragonblade, Dragobrave) or Millennium Items could break each other in a physical clash. I think they'd just have a collision and be sent flying back.

In short, the powers basically either cancel each other out or just do not effect the other directly when clashing. The biggest exception to this rule, and Tasuku's advantage if facing a Millenium Item User, is that Tasuku could bring physical harm if he uses his powers to manifest cards and have them physically attack the user (like swinging his Dragonblade, Dragobrave for example, or having one of his monsters or spells restrain the other).

Keep in mind though, Tasuku doesn't use his powers unless he HAS to and wouldn't go fighting someone using it willy-nilly. Usually, they are either used to save another or to defend themselves or innocents or friends against someone who also has a similar power (Like the Disaster Force). His view is that this power is meant to help people first and foremost. He also would not use it to kill because despite wanting to bring justice to people who deserve it like criminals, he is not a killer.

Any instances in which Tasuku would use the Future Force in general for an offensive or defensive purpose against any non-NPC, for this verse or otherwise, are typically ones that I discuss with a mun prior due to its overpowered nature and the fact it's used in extreme circumstances.
