10월 / October

Had a lovely 추석 and am enjoying this extra long holiday weekend~ Let's see what's happening this month!

1일 - 국군의날 / Armed Forces Day: This was actually celebrated on 9.26 this year (maybe because of Chuseok?) and they had a huge military parade in the middle of Seoul for the first time in years.

2일 - 임시공휴일 / Temporary Public Holiday: This Monday just happened to fall between the Chuseok holiday and National Foundation Day (both red days), so the president declared it a holiday as well this year! Supposedly it was part of a plan to "boost spending" but personally, I spend most holidays cozy at home, not out helping the economy...

3일 - 개천절 / National Foundation Day: This is a public holiday celebrating the founding of 고조선 (Gojoseon) & the Korean people. If you know the legend of 환웅 & 단군, this is the day that 환웅 came down from heaven~

8일 - 한로 / Hallo: One of the 24 seasonal divisions; the day when cold dew begins to fall

9일 - 한글날 / Hangul Day: Yes, a day to celebrate the Korean writing system! It's even a public holiday!

24일 - 상강 / Sanggang: One of the 24 seasonal divisions; this is said to be when the first frost falls

December 2023 Monthly Astrology Calendar Key Dates and Times

I create these Key Dates and Times listings as a quick and easy reference to help me stay organized with what’s happening with some of the main events in astrology each month.

In chronological order and by planets in the signs, I’ve organized the listings in a few different ways to make it easier for reference.

Most notably this month we have Mercury Retrograde starting in Capricorn December 13th, and ending in Sagittarius on January 2nd, taking us into the new year.

August monthly calendar in my new bullet journal. I managed to keep a theme for the whole month, which has never happened before.

Today I:

read first thing in the morning

practiced Irish on duolingo

packed because I'm going on holiday

praciced self care

Today was my last day home before a cuple of weeks of holiday, and believe me I really need some time off. My posts will probably not be as regular as they normally are, but I won't disappear. I've been reading It by Stephen King. I am a little over 100 pages in, so just the very beginning, and I am enjoying it overall. I am just having one problem, and it's not the first time it happens to me with a book by King. There's some passages in which it litteraly feels to be browsing the r/men writing woman subreddit, and may I say it's kind of annoying? Because in 130 pages it has already happened more than once, and I still have more or less 1100 pages to go, and honestly I do not really see the necessity of having random description of what the boobs of any female characters are doing, unless it turns out they are sencient being separated from the rest of the bodies, which I really doubt is the case here. They really feel like random sentences thrown in there for some reason I do not understad, because they do not serve the plot nor anything else, and if you can't tell I am pretty annoyed by it. I cannot remember if I have ever complained about it on here in the past (probably I did), but I'd really like to see if I'm the only one who noticed it? Or if other people are just less bothered by it. With this I am not saying that there should be no mention of the female body in these pages, there were in fact a couple of passages that were contestualized and made sense in the narration, those of which I am talking about are as I was saying very random to the point of making no sense (at least to me). I'll stop here cause I could go on forever, but I am really really interested to see if others had this feeling.

I’ve been in the US for the past couple of weeks, so I haven’t been posting. My Jan. monthly post is late but I’m flying back home tomorrow and will be doing some studying during the rest of my vacation time~

1일 - 새해 / New Year: The first day of the new year is a holiday, just like in lots of other countries!

Ciao tumbleri, siccome ieri avevo del tempo da buttare mi sono fatta il calendario mensile 2024 da stampare formato A4. Per capirci il formato dei mesi è questo:

Io mi ci segno compleanni/appuntamenti/ecc. e me lo appendo in posto visibile tipo frigo così ho speranza di non dimenticarmi le cose (no i memo sul cell non bastano perché mica passo le giornate a guardare la app calendario).
