He can see the changes in your body language, and he can hear the changes in your tone of voice. He knows you better than you know yourself, and he always knows how to make you feel better. He is always there for you, no matter what. He will listen to you when you need to talk, and he will offer you his advice. He will never judge you, and he will always be there to support you. You are so lucky to have him in your life. He is a true friend, a loving partner, and a wise advisor. You can always count on him, and he will always be there for you.

We're All Psycho
Monsta X Ot6 x OC
Chapter 5
Tumblr media
I yanked against the cuffs that had swapped out the zip ties I had been restrained by. The metal bit into my tender flesh as I struggled, but instead of loosening it was only getting tighter. My wrists were raw and red and even the mask was beginning to dig into my cheeks, but giving up was worse than a little pain right now. Jooheon had pulled me out of the trunk, dragging me through an alley into the back doors of what I could only assume was some type of club. The loud, pounding music was deafening only slightly less so when he brought me down the stairs to some type of underground bunker. We hadn’t made it but a few feet in when he shoved me into this room and chair, cuffing me, and leaving the mask and bindings around my legs.
I couldn’t keep track of time down here, but the music above me was finally starting to ebb at least a little, but the silence that ensued after that was gone was even more nerve-wracking. I needed to get out of here. There was no way I would be sitting here like a baby fawn waiting for them to decide what to do with me. My gut twisted knowing it wouldn’t be a pleasant decision. Looking around the room, it was scarcely furnished. Holding a desk and leather chair in front of the chair I currently occupied and a single couch and that was it.
Even the desk didn’t have much. A few binders and some scattered papers. Pulling against the cuffs again, my frustration hit a boiling point. I thrashed in the chair and screamed behind the mask cursing every single one of them, not that they could hear me. Once finished, I sat there huffing, hair falling in my face as I closed my eyes trying to get some composure back. There had to be a way out of this. I just needed to think. The loud creak of the door behind me startled me. I nearly jumped out of my seat and would have if it wasn’t for the cuffs.
I turned my head as much as I could, barely making out the silhouette as he stepped into the room. Kihyun approached me slowly, rounding the chair I was in to look at me.
“Doctor.” He crooned leaning against the edge of the desk.
I glared at him, wishing I didn’t have this mask so I could tell him all the lovely colorful things I was thinking. Rationality had almost completely left me at this point. My fear nearly absent in the face of a potential situation where my life was already at stake and my fate very well already possibly decided. I didn’t have anything else to lose. Kihyun looked amused.
“What a role reversal doctor.” He chuckled. “How does it feel to be on the receiving end?”
He leaned forward placing his lips right against my ear.
“Being tied up is a good look for you.” He whispered.
My body stiffened. He took a deep inhale, nuzzling his nose in the hair behind my ear before humming in satisfaction.
“You smell like coconuts.”
I jerked my head away from him. It hadn’t crossed my mind until this very moment that there were worse things they could do to me than kill me and if that was why I was here I would much rather be dead. Footsteps tapped against the concrete flooring as Kihyun leaned back to glance at the newcomer.
“You know Shownu will have a conniption if you get your hands on her before he does.” The voice chuckled.
Kihyun rolled his eyes. “First come first serve. Shownu can kiss my ass.”
“I’d rather not.” A deep voice rumbled. “Now get your ass off my desk.”
Kihyun stood slowly, almost like a child would trying to defy their parent’s order as much as they could. The man whose name I still didn’t know plopped down on the couch beside me, spreading his legs as far as they would go as he looked me over. Kihyun made his way to the corner of the room as the last guy finally came into view. He was tall, slender, but had definition in his upper body as the white button up fit snugly over his torso. He dropped a few papers down on the desk and pulled on his tie, loosening it from around his neck.
His hand came up to run through his shaggy dark chocolate hair that was littered with lighter brown highlights. He looked normal enough, but the aura he emitted was anything but. The danger rolled off him in waves. Enough to let anyone know that he was the last person in world you would want to mess with. He was a wild card. That much was obvious. Made even more apparent by the way Kihyun and the other man in the room respected him. They both watched him carefully as he took his time looking me over. His eyes were dark, staring right through me. His tongue pressed to the inside of his cheek as he contemplated something.
“Dr. Johns. My name is Son Hyunwoo. I apologize for the circumstances in which we’re meeting, but I assure you I am very pleased to meet you. We’ve been watching you for quite some time.”
My brows furrowed in confusion. Watching me? Why? I wasn’t someone that they should have been keeping tabs on. In fact, I tried really hard to stay out of trouble. He glanced at the dark-haired man.
“Hyungwon if you would.”
Hyungwon stood from the couch and reached behind my head to release the straps holding the mask in place. My face stung where the line of the mask had dug into the soft skin of my cheeks and neck. No doubt it had left red lines.
“What do you want from me?”
“Well simply speaking we have a mutual friend in common.” Hyunwoo leaned back in his seat, lacing his fingers together in front of him. “Unfortunately, they’ve been causing trouble for us lately. Too much trouble. It’s threatening my business which I can handle, but they’re also threatening my family and that I won’t tolerate.”
I shook my head wondering what the fuck any of this had to do with me. “I don’t understand. I don’t know who you’re talking about. I don’t know anyone associated with you all.”
“You do Dr. Johns, you just aren’t aware of who they really are.”
“Okay, but if you’re wanting this person then why am I here? Where do I fit into this equation?”
“Bait.” Hyungwon chuckled darkly.
My eyes left Hyunwoo’s intense stare to look at Hyungwon who had taken his place on the couch again. One leg draped over the other as he leaned against the back of it, one hand laying languidly over the arm and the other dragging his fingers slowly across his bottom lip as he watched me.
“Bait?” The word made my heart sink. “What makes you so sure they’ll come after me?”
Hyunwoo’s gaze hardened. “They’ll come. Have no doubt.”
I didn’t know if that knowledge made me feel better or worse. On one hand, this person could potentially save me, but if they were mixed up with MX of all people then they either had to be just as bad or possibly even worse. Hyunwoo released a heavy sigh, finally breaking his stare.
“In the meantime, you’ll stay here. I had half a mind to find out what you knew, but it seems they’ve kept you in the dark. Therefore, you’re useless to me as anything other than bait. So be a good girl and stay out of trouble while you’re here. I would hate to have to resort to drastic measures.”
Drastic measures. His expression read that he meant killing me. They wouldn’t hesitate to kill me.
“The others are out. I don’t expect them to be back for a few more hours. Kihyun you have first shift.” Hyunwoo tossed over his shoulder as he walked out.
Shift? I found Kihyun still in his spot in the corner of the room. He leaned back against the wall just watching me even as Hyungwon stood with a huge sigh and walked out. Once he was gone, Kihyun finally pushed himself off the wall. He stopped in front of me and knelt down undoing the bindings around my legs before working on the cuffs on my wrists.
“Let’s go then. It’s been a long night.”
His grip around my upper arm was strong. Stronger than I anticipated for him. We walked out of the room into a long and spacious hallway. There was nothing in it, the only thing along the walls were several doors down the length of it. It was cold. Goosebumps rose on my arms and the chilly air brushed against my face sending shivers through me. Kihyun stopped the two of us in front of a door, pushing it open and sending me through it afterwards. I stumbled inside feeling him enter behind me and shut the door. It was a decent sized room, but much like everything else I had seen so far, very bare. Two doors loomed in the same half of the room, a small desk in the other half next to a bed and a nightstand. A bedroom then.
Kihyun walked around me mumbling incoherently as he reached behind his head to yank his shirt up and over himself. A surprised squeak left me as I averted my eyes and snapped at him.
“What are you doing?”
His reply sounded exasperated. “Getting ready for bed. I don’t know about you, but I’m exhausted. Prison isn’t exactly comfortable.”
“Privacy is a thing. Did you have to start undressing in front of me?”
“Are you embarrassed?” he chuckled. “You can look. I don’t mind doctor.”
I shook my head keeping my eyes trained on the wall away from him. I felt, more than heard his approach. His presence was suffocating as he backed me towards the door we had just come through. He took my chin between his thumb and forefinger turning me to face him. I kept my eyes on his face, forbidding them to wander even though they desperately wanted to.
“What is it doctor? Are you afraid you’ll want to see more? Afraid you’ll feel something? There’s no shame in that. You’re a woman. A woman has needs just like a man does.”
“You’re wrong. I don’t feel anything for you.”
The smirk didn’t leave his lips, only widened as he smiled. “Why is that? Because I was your patient or because I’m a serial killer?”
“Both.”
He hummed leaning down to my ear. “I think you’re lying Verity. I’ve seen the way you react to me sometimes. You can’t help yourself. The physical attraction rolling off you is almost palpable.”
The way my name sounded coming out of his mouth was dangerous. The honey coating his tone was layered thick and I could feel it begin to drip through my body, settling between my thighs. He ran a finger down my temple and across my cheek.
“I’ll make it easier for you doctor. I want you too. So, you just let me know when you’re done trying to fight against your morals and I’ll gladly take you.”
“That’ll never happen.”
He hummed pulling away from me to finish undressing. He made his way to one of the closed doors at the opposite side of the room. Opening one to reveal a walk-in closet stuffed full of clothes. As much as I wanted to bolt in this moment I wouldn’t get very far. I’m sure they expected that from me. If I wanted a head start, a decent head start, I needed to wait for everyone to fall asleep. Luckily, I hadn’t been blindfolded when they carted me from the trunk of the car to their underground bunker, so I was confident I’d be able to retrace my steps. This place wasn’t that big. A single hallway littered with doors to rooms that led who knows where. On the opposite end of the hallway was the door to my freedom and I planned on using it.
Tonight.

Kissing the Cook
Tumblr media
Request: If I may make a request . . . 17, your bias is Yoo Kihyun (Monsta X)
Prompt:
17) Your friend (who is already dating one of the members) sets you up with your bias.
Pairing: Monsta X Kihyun x Reader
Genre: Fluff
.
"I'm not doing it," Kihyun said finitely, crossing his arms.
"You're definitely doing it," Minhyuk hummed, adjusting his collar in the mirror. He glanced over his shoulder at the ever so slightly younger member and smirked. "Get dressed."
"You can't tell me what to do."
"Can and will," Minhyuk chimed.
Kihyun heaved a deep sigh before pulling himself up from the couch. Nodding to himself in reassurance, he looked to Minhyuk again. "Where are we going?"
"A place," Minhyuk said simply, spinning around. "How do I look?"
"Like a menace to society," Kihyun muttered. "But that's no different from any other day."
"Rude," Minhyuk clucked. Fishing his phone from his slacks, he began to type quickly. "No rush, but we have to leave in like ten minutes."
"Ten minutes?!" Kihyun whined. He looked down to his pajama bottoms and bleach stained shirt. "I need to shower."
"Sounds a lot like a you problem."
"A me problem that is rapidly becoming a you problem!" Kihyun pointed out. Stomping down the hall he cursed quietly to himself while he heard Minhyuk chuckling behind him.
"Nine minutes!"
.
You held fast to your best friend's hand as she navigated you toward an ominous building. "Why have you been so secretive about this whole thing?"
"Me?" Mina squeaked, looking at you with innocent eyes. "Secretive? I don't know the meaning of the word!"
"You are chaos incarnate and your boyfriend is even worse," you grumbled. Choosing to snatch your hand from hers, your eyes began to roam the small information plate noting what businesses operated in the building.
"I take offense to that," she laughed. "Mostly for myself. Minhyuk is admittedly a goblin."
"Yah!" a voice gasped from behind the two of you. "I heard that!"
Spinning around, you were face to face with Mina's partner in crime AND life, Lee Minhyuk. They weren't the sickeningly sweet couple everyone expected them to be, but troublemakers in every sense of the word. They fueled each other's nonsense like no other and frankly it was exhausting even being in both of their presence at once.
"Baby!" Mina grinned, throwing her arms around Minhyuk's neck. She gave him a quick kiss before springing back again.
"Hey," he smiled, eying his girlfriend with every ounce of love in his body. Shaking himself from her spell, he looked toward you and grinned. "Hey, Y/N!"
"Hi, Minnie," you grumbled, rubbing your hand over your opposite arm. Third wheeling again, what a treat.
The sound of someone clearing their throat just behind Minhyuk signaled that you needed to reevaluate your previous thought.
"Sorry!" Minhyuk huffed as he sidestepped. With a smile, he motioned to the person who was standing at least ten feet away from him. "Kihyun is...here!"
Your eyes widened as you assessed the man that had been labelled as part of your group for the evening. The two of you had met informally many times before, but for some reason, the familiarity couldn't halt the butterflies springing to life in your stomach.
While you knew who Kihyun was and even a bit of his personality, you had never hung out with intention. Making eyes at each other across the table at game nights or eagerly eating whatever food he chose to prepare were the height of your interactions.
"Ahhh," you finally managed. "Hi?"
"Hi," Kihyun nodded politely. He glanced from you to Minhyuk and then back again. His eyes set on yours for only a moment, the contact making you instantly shy. Kihyun smirked before looking away, his ears turning a bright red in the process.
"Isn't this great?" Minhyuk nodded. "You're single. Kihyun's desperate. It's perfect."
"Hey!" Kihyun snipped, glaring at his friend. "I'm not desperate."
"He's not very self aware," Minhyuk continued in a hushed voice. "But he is very cute, isn't he?"
This caused Kihyun to roll his eyes. You tried to stifle your giggle as he motioned to the staircase leading inside the building. "Can we please do whatever it is we are here to do?"
"Yes, of course," Minhyuk nodded, pleased with himself. Launching forward, he grabbed Mina's hand in his and started charging up the stairs. Left alone with Kihyun, you gave him an exasperated grin.
Smiling in return, he stepped forward. "Sorry about him."
"Unnecessary," you laughed. "Let's catch up before we're left behind."
"Honestly," Kihyun muttered, looking over his shoulder in both directions. "That might not be the worst idea."
"I'm sorry, what?" you croaked. Sure, you hadn't expected to be dragged on a double date tonight, but you were kind of offended that he wanted to bail.
Laughing, he shook his head. "Who the hell knows what these two signed us up for. I think I have something better in mind."
..
"Can you tie this for me?" Kihyun asked, spinning around so his back faced you.
"Of course," you hummed, taking the strings from his hands. You had never realized how wide his shoulders were until you were up close. Chewing on your lip, you absently tied the apron as you eyed him from behind.
After consulting Google for the better part of your two block jog away from your friends, Kihyun had finally settled on bringing you back to the Monsta X dorm. He could cook you dinner with whatever they had laying around and you would be delivered to Mina as soon as the happy couple arrived back home. It had made all of the sense in the world.
The adrenaline pumping through your veins quickly subdued by the time you were perched on the bar stool in front of him. Now the nerves danced around in your body, trying to keep cool as you watched him cut vegetables.
"Are you sure you don't need help?" you asked, itching for something to do instead of sitting in silence.
"Uuuuh," Kihyun hummed, looking around the kitchen. His gaze finally settled on the task before him and he gave a short nod. "You know what, why don't you cut these?"
"Sure," you squeaked, instantly regretting your request. It wasn't like you were a bad cook, Kihyun was just much more proficient.
Hopping off of the chair and making your way to where he was standing, you were surprised as he took up a spot directly behind you. Lifting a spare apron over your front and dropping it at your neck, you felt his nimble fingers find the ties at your side. Remaining painfully still, you waited as he tied the fabric. Taking a short step back, he pointed around you at the knife you would need.
"Alright, take that one," he said, his voice a breath in your ear. "And we're going to want to cut this as thin as possible."
"Okay," you whispered, picking up the utensil with one hand and a clove of garlic in the other.
"We want it so thin that it'll essentially melt in the pan," he continued.
You nodded. Of course this made all of the sense in the world when it was coming out of Kihyun's lips.
Kihyun lips.
You grimaced as you cut the first slice of garlic much too thick. You needed to stop focusing on the cute boy leaning into you and the task at hand.
Proving to be the most difficult task in the world, your body nearly collapsed as Kihyun stepped closer. His firm chest settled against your back as he reached around you and took the knife from your hand.
"Watch," he said quietly, slicing it perfectly because of course he did. "Just like that."
Good God.
"Just like that," you croaked. You thought about swiveling around to address him, but instantly thought better of it. "Maybe I was more helpful watching you than actually helping."
You could feel his huffed laugh against your neck as he continued to chop. "You're giving up this easily?"
"Well, no," you said, now a bit embarrassed. "I think I may just be getting in the way though."
"Who said that's a bad thing?" he teased, closing what limited distance was between you. You tried not to choke on your own saliva.
"It's crazy, isn't it?" he asked, picking up another clove and beginning his ministrations.
"Wh-What?"
"That we were set up," he chuckled. "By two of the most dysfunctional people I think either of us have ever met."
You giggled as you attempted to remain calm. Where was he going with this?
"What do they know about other's compatibility?" he continued. His chin was basically set on your shoulder. You took a deep breath, lavishing in whatever spicy ginger cologne he was wearing.
"Well," you managed. "They certainly knew that they were-"
"The end of times?" Kihyun finished. "I'm convinced their love is going to bring forth the apocalypse."
"So..." you chuckled, trying to put on a brave face. "What do you think they were expecting to bring forth with our match?"
Kihyun paused. You could almost hear his gears turning as he set down the items in his hands. Leaning slowly back, you instantly regretted that whatever you had said caused him to retreat.
"Something...easy," he said, his voice suddenly gravelly. "Something they knew would work if they nudged us hard enough."
Hardly believing what you were hearing, you carefully spun to look at him. His handsome face was hard to read, but you definitely saw something there. The way his lips parted ever so slightly, the way his eyes searched yours...it was want. Kihyun wanted whatever this was.
"You...you'd think we'd make a good match then?" you squeaked, needing the confirmation.
Kihyun sniffed a short chuckle before reaching up. Grabbing you lightly by the back of the neck, his eyes delved into yours one last time before closing the distance. He kissed you fiercely, knocking you off balance. You were immediately caught and then boxed in against the counter behind you. Reaching to set a palm on the surface around either side of your hips, he licked at your bottom lip before sucking it into his mouth. Biting it softly, you didn't miss how tense he became when you offered up a whimper.
Tangling your hands around his neck and playing with the short hair at the back of his scalp, you were all fire inside. Before his body had even really touched yours, you were a match waiting to be lit. He knew exactly how to fan the flame.
"Idiot, you left your location on," you heard a familiar voice barge through the door.
Kihyun stopped kissing you and cringed. His body remained locked around yours, no intention of letting you go this soon.
"I can't believe you guys left! We were going to do a rage room and-"
Both Minhyuk and Mina stopped short as they walked into the kitchen. With matching expressions of shock, an awkward silence settled over the room.
Kihyun grimaced before burying his face into your neck and letting out a loud groan.
"We...uh," Mina began, her eyes darting back and forth. "We're just going to go anywhere but here."
"Yep," Minhyuk nodded, his eyes wide. "We'll let you kids get back to uh...whatever that was."
Turning on his heel, Minhyuk tugged Mina with him. "Don't do anything we wouldn't do!"
"The bar is set extremely low then," Kihyun muttered before lifting his face up again. "You laughed as you reached up and rubbed your thumb over his jaw. "Now, where were we?"

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
♡ Pairing: husband!kihyun x fem!chubby!reader
♡ Summary: A romantic afternoon spent at a botanical garden with the love of your life
♡ Genre: the fluffiest of fluff
♡ Word Count: 990
♡ Warnings: kissing and unbearable cuteness
♡ A/N: I wrote this request for my Kihyun loving anon. As a Hyungwon biased babe, I know how hard it is out here for us Monbebes. I stand in solidarity with you my sweet darling 💚
Tumblr media
Kihyun guides you across the stone path with hands softened by honey and shea butter. You cling to them for dear life, the straps of your high heels looped around your wrist. A dozen koi fish dance in circles beneath you, occasionally splashing cool water onto your toes. Kihyun fights to hide his laughter but his quivering bottom lip and perky cheeks are a dead giveaway.
“Stop laughing!” you pout, “I just don’t wanna fall in and hurt them.” “I’m sorry. I can’t help it. You’re so cute when you’re worried.” Blushing, you feel your nerves settle, and allow him to help you the rest of the way. Even relaxing enough to allow your mind to drift around the rest of the pond, admiring the emerald green pads with ivory lilies sprouting between them.
It tickles when your feet finally touch the grass, moistened blades sneaking between your toes. “Stay right here” he instructs, taking a few steps back and pulling out his phone. Every new place you visit he needs a picture of you. The emotions of these moments will linger eternally, that he’s sure of, but he wants something to look back on. Something to remind you, when you’re old and gray, of the life you lived so beautifully together.
“How do you want me to pose, Mr. Photographer?” you ask, striking the silliest pose that comes to mind. Kihyun snaps the shot, winking at you, “Perfect.” “What? No! Take it again!” you demand but his phone’s already back in his pocket. “Why? I loved it. I think I’ll frame it. Put it in the living room. What do you think?” he teases, making his way toward a short set of stone stairs leading deeper into the garden.
He makes a sudden turn onto another pathway cloaked in lush trees, disappearing altogether before you can catch up to him. “Kihyun!” you call out, skipping up the stairs. Nothing. Only the sound of water rushing from a nearby fountain. Heading in the direction you saw him turn in, you walk a few feet without seeing him. You’re ready to call his name again when you notice a paper lotus on the ground with something written on it in his handwriting.
And it’s not the only one. There's more dropped every few feet leading towards the sound of the fountain. They’re placed near spots where bees land on marigolds and birds hum around zinnias. You collect them one by one, reading them individually, and then altogether.
To my love. My wife. My moon and my stars, In our vows, I said that marrying you was the best day of my life. I meant it more than I ever meant anything before. But I was wrong. If tomorrow I couldn’t hear, I’d remember the sound of your voice until my dying day. If tomorrow I couldn’t see, I’d be able to describe every detail of your face down to the way your nose crinkles when you smile. I’ve committed so much of you to memory, your scent, your breathing, the way your heart beats against mine, that I could find you in the dark. The best day of my life can’t be narrowed down to one because every day that you’re mine is the best day of my life.
In your mind, you curse him for making you feel all mushy inside. You feel so loved, so cherished, that you can barely keep it together. It’s why you fell in love with him though. Your sweet, sentimental KiKi. No matter how much of a brat he can be at times, let’s be real you both can be a pain in the ass, you never question how much you mean to him. And if you ever did, even for a second, he’d stop the earth on its axis to make sure you know how special you are.
Holding the stack of papers close to your chest, you finally reach the fountain where your husband watches water trickle down the statue of a Greek goddess carved in marble. A blanket’s spread out in the grass, lined with 24 individually wrapped slices of cake, labeled with their own unique flavors. Raspberry Chocolate Truffle. Caramel Apple. Pink Champagne.
“What is all of this?” you gasp, settling down at the edge of the blanket to read the other flavors. Kihyun cuddles up beside you, picking a tulip along the way to tuck behind your ear. “I know that we didn’t get to try all of the flavors you wanted to before our wedding day so I figured why not do it now?” “Oh my god, you’re too perfect. What are you? A serial killer or something?” you tease.
Kihyun grabs a fork from the basket at the center of the blanket and hands it to you, “Would you divorce me if I were?” “No” you answer without hesitation, “Don’t get caught though. I’d make a terrible prison wife.” “Noted” he laughs, beginning to unwrap the slice marked Chocolate Orange Blossom.
“Kihyun,” you whisper.
“Yeah?”
“Thank you.”
You lunge at him, knocking him back into the grass. With your legs on either side of him, fingers tangled in his hair, you kiss him for every word written on those paper orchids. Kihyun’s hands are at your waist, caressing your plush hips through your sundress, clinging to you as if you’ll fly away if he lets go. This feels like a fairytale. The type you read as a little girl that you’d come to think of in womanhood as nothing more than daydreams.
You aren’t sure if it’s the fresh scent of the water or the fragrant flowers. It could be the singing of the birds or the warm sun against your skin. But most likely it’s the man beneath you, your sun and your clouds, the best part of every day, staring up at you whispering gently, “Baby, when did you get so strong? I definitely broke something.”

Monsta X’s Reaction to...
Yᴏᴜ sʟᴇᴇᴘɪɴɢ ᴏɴ ᴛʜᴇ ᴄᴏᴜᴄʜ ᴀғᴛᴇʀ ᴀ ғɪɢʜᴛ

Shownu
Hyunwoo knew that the two of you would have to talk tonight before bed. He never liked going to bed angry and after the argument from earlier, he was still feeling some type of way. He showered and got himself ready for bed, poking his head out into the living room to see that you were still up, watching tv. He shrugged his shoulders and went back into the bedroom to laydown. He would talk to you after whatever you were watching was over. He didn’t remember falling asleep and when he woke up, he was so confused since you were cuddled into his side.
Hyunwoo got out of bed, dragging the blanket behind him and went into the living room, only to find you passed out on the couch. When you came to grab your pillow, he has no idea...but he didn’t like it. Yawning, Hyunwoo settles himself on the floor in front of you and stares at your face. He can see the dried tears from the glow of the tv and he frowns. Reaching for the remote, Hyunwoo turns the tv off and he presses and kiss to your temple. Slumping over your chest, Hyunwoo gets as comfortable as he can and drifts off to sleep.
“I miss you babygirl...I’m sorry.”
Tumblr media
Kihyun
Kihyun sat outside of your bedroom with his heart in his hands. The sounds of your cries pierced his ears as you cried alone in the bedroom. He had tried to get to you, but you locked the door. So, he sat down and waited for you. He hated that the two of you fought, it was stupid and if he could take back the words, he would in a heartbeat. You sobs quieted down and Kihyun could hear you moving around, he jumped to his feet and licked his lips when the lock clicked. You opened the bedroom door and all the hope that Kihyun had to make it up to you died when he saw the pillow and blankets in your arms.
He shook his head and refused to let you pass him. He dropped to his knees and wrapped his arms around your thighs, burying his face into your legs. He held you tightly and his tears burned your skin. His shoulder shook as he cried and he tried to speak, he tried so damn hard to apologize, but his words were broken. You started to cry again as you lowered yourself to your knees in front of him and Kihyun hugged you tightly. When his lips touched yours, the kiss was salty and fully of silent promises to do better.
“I love you; you hear me. I fucking love you. I’m sorry, my heart.”
Tumblr media
Minhyuk
Minhyuk knew he needed to apologize but he wasn’t sure how. You refused to talk to him, and you wanted nothing to do with him. He was surprised when you turned down going out to your favorite noodle shop with him. ‘Damn, she’s really mad at me.’ Minhyuk thought to himself, so he did the only thing he could think of. He ordered from the shop on his phone while you were in shower and got himself all settled into his pjs. The food arrived pretty fast, so he quickly set everything up on the coffee table before he set up a movie on the tv. He would be damned if you went to bed angry with him.
The moment you walked into the living room with a pillow and blanket in your arms, Minhyuk’s heart stopped beating. He couldn’t believe what he was seeing and it hurt...a lot. He watched as you silently took in the sight of food in front of you and he could see a smile pulling at your lips. He smiled softly and patted the spot on the floor beside.
“You can’t be angry with all this yummy food. Come and sit before I eat it all in front of you.”

I.M
The moment Changkyun saw you storm off to the bedroom, he knew what you were about to do. He rubbed the back of his neck and sighed when you walked into the living room with a pillow and a blanket. He frowned and shook his head. He called you dramatic and easily dodged the pillow that you threw at him with a small chuckle. He stopped you from making up the couch and sat down, pulling you into his lap. Changkyun slipped his hands under your shirt and traced small circles onto your stomach, staying silent as he eased your anger. He rested his forehead on the back of your shoulder and started to hum softly.
Changkyun knew that you hated to sleep alone and he kept his comments to himself. He knew better than to call your bluff, it would only end with you even more pissed at him. He offered to watch a movie, that one that you kept talking about all week and that seemed to make you forgot all about the fight. As the two of you settled onto the couch, Changkyun kissed your temple and held you close.
“Do you wanna cuddle in bed after this? We’ll have more room.”
Tumblr media
Hyungwon
The anger that Hyungwon felt, he knew that tonight was going to be one for the books. It was rare that the two of you got into major arguments that ended in the silent treatment that lasted so long. You had actively avoided him for the rest of the night and when bedtime came around, he watched as you gathered your things and left the bedroom. He sighed and stared at the empty space beside him. He knew that you needed space, but he couldn’t let you go to bed mad at him, yet alone sleep on the couch. Getting out of bed, Hyungwon walked out to the living room, and he wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you into a back hug.
The sheet in your hands dropped and Hyungwon tightened his hold on you. He apologized softly and trailed a path of light kisses along the length of your neck. He pushed you away from the couch lightly and sat down with a sigh. He understood needing space and he would give that to you...even if it hurt to know that he couldn’t sleep with you in his arms. Hyungwon cleared his throat and pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose before he patted your butt to send you on the way to the bedroom.
“You take the bed, baby. I’ll see you in the morning...I love you.”
Tumblr media
Joohoney
Jooheon’s angry words echoed in his head and he winced. He hated when the two of you fought, it left a bitter taste in his mouth and his heart always felt it weighed a ton. Jooheon had spent a few hours out of the house, he went to Hyunwoo to ask the older man for advice. When he came back home, Jooheon had his whole speech planed out. He wanted to apologize and hold you in his arms while you played with his hair to put him to sleep. He really didn’t want to go to bed angry.
The tv was on in the living room and he sighed, did you stay up this late to talk to him? Jooheon sighed and stepped into the living room, ready to give you his speech but once he saw you sleeping on the couch all his words were forgotten. His eyes widened and his jaw fell open, no...no, no, no! Oh, God...d-did you want to leave him? Trying to fight back his tears, Jooheon walked over and pulled you into his arms. You woke up to him crying and begging you not to leave him while he apologized over and over again. The two of you laid on the couch as you wiped away his tears and kissed his damp skin.
“I’m sorry, shit baby. I am so sorry. Please, don’t leave me.”

Wonho
He felt bad the moment you stormed off, done with this augment. He really didn’t mean to make you cry...he was stressed and even worse he was hungry. After the fight, Wonho left the apartment and decided that he would surprise you with your favorite late night snack, plus the fresh air would help him relax a little. When he walked into the apartment with bags in his hands, he was shocked to see the couch made up like a bed. Wonho felt his jaw tick and he bite the inside of his cheek. If you thought he would let you go to sleep mad or sleep on that couch, you had another thing coming.
Wonho quickly got to work setting the food on the table while he sat on the couch. He got some ice cream on his finger and as he was licking it off you walked into the living room. He mad eye contact and proceeded to wraps his lips around his thumb making sure to watch your every move. He pats the spot beside him and slowly pulls his thumb from his mouth while he smirks at you.
“Good thing you put a sheet down.”

I walked down the quiet corridor, heels clacking against the concrete, echoing off the walls as one of the nurses trailed slightly behind me. It wasn’t often I was called to the prison for a psychiatric evaluation, in fact, my
specialty was in psychology rather than psychiatry, but the prison was in need of a new psychiatrist and until one was hired, it was my job to work with potential patients.
My job today was simple, determine whether or not the man that sat in the lonely cell at the very end of this cell block should be transferred and institutionalized at the local psychiatric hospital or remain here to serve his sentence. I was well aware of who he was. I’m sure everyone in the city knew his name as well as the name of the group he ran with. Just the thought of being face to face with him was enough to send chills down my back and raise goosebumps on my arms. I entered the office, nurse hot on my heels, hoping to get an idea of what I was about to walk into.
“Dr. Johns.” The guard on duty nodded at me as we entered.
“San, it’s good to see you again. How’s my favorite guard?”
“I’d be better if they didn’t have me burning the midnight oil.” He yawned stretching before standing, handing me a file and hooking his taser and baton on his belt.
“He’s in cell 32A. You won’t be able to go in the room with him, so you don’t have to worry about him trying anything, but I’ll be there with you just in case. I’ll have a radio on me Felix, so if anything happens we’ll need back up.”
Felix nodded acknowledging San before going back to his monitors. I opened the file to scan it as the three of us walked out of the office. We stood outside of the cell block waiting to be buzzed in. It beeped and San opened the door for the two of us to enter first. I attempted to seem unperturbed by who I was about to encounter, strolling through the threshold with more confidence than I thought I was capable of. In reality, my knees felt like jello and the fear permeating my body was spiking my blood pressure.
“Does anyone actually believe he’s sane?” I tried to keep my voice quiet, but the hallway was uncharacteristically quiet, and it bounced off the walls anyway.
“Probably not. At this point, I think it’s just a formality. Having you come in and say he’s nuts gives the warden probable cause to ship him off onto someone else. I can’t imagine anyone wanting to stay under the same roof as him. He’s one sadistic son of a bitch.”
“Even though I’m not a psychiatrist?”
San grinned at me. “Close enough right? He’s a high profile enough inmate for us to warrant an immediate psych eval. Enough so that we can’t wait until the new doctor shows up.”
I nodded. I understood their concerns, but I didn’t like it. My job entailed the therapy aspect of psychological problems, not the medical aspect. It was beyond my capabilities to tell anyone what was wrong with this man and how to treat him. The most I could do while I was here was give my expert opinion about whether he should be sent to a facility or not, but I guess that was all they were really looking for anyway.
As we approached the cell, my heart felt like it was ready to jump inside my throat. San was in front, giving me enough time to school my emotions as the cell and its occupant came into view. He sat on the bare bed, head leaned back against the wall with his eyes closed. His light brown hair was long, brushing the tips of his lashes and disheveled as if he hadn’t bothered to fix it for days. As we approached, his head rolled toward us lazily, eyes opening to reveal a dark chocolate stare.
They say eyes are the windows to the soul, but with him they were bottomless pits. They gave nothing away. Something I’m sure he had perfected over the years. He looked me up and down before one corner of his mouth picked up in a hint of a smirk.
“Doctor.” His voice came out in a sultry tone. Seduction dripping from his tongue, gaze burning through me.
Pretending as if he didn’t have an effect on me I cleared my throat.
“Mr. Yoo.”
“Kihyun will do.”
He stood up from the bed, the handcuffs around his wrists and ankles clinking together lightly as he mosied his way to the front of the cell.
“Kihyun then. I’m Dr. Johns. I’m here to-“
“I know why you’re here doctor.” The way he grinned was unsettling as he paused directly in front of me. “You’re here to prove me as a basketcase. A lunatic. Psycho. Freak. Insane.”
“Yes. I was sent to assess your mental state.”
He looked me over one more time before turning his attention to San.
“I’d like to speak with the doctor alone if you wouldn’t mind.”
San scoffed. “Actually, I do mind. That’s not happening.”
“Perhaps another time then doctor.” Kihyun drawled turning back to his bed.
I sighed knowing that one way or another he would get his way. Yoo Kihyun had been playing these kinds of games all his life and if he was one thing, it was a master manipulator. I turned to San with pleading eyes.
“San I’ll be fine. Just give us a few moments.”
No matter how much he wished he could work the situation in his favor, San knew Kihyun had the upper hand here. The whole reason I was even here was to see him and if he wouldn’t talk, then my trip will have been a waste of time. San cast a glare at the man who stood next to his bed, staring at the wall with a shit eating grin on his face. He knew he had us.
“Ten minutes tops. I’ll be right down the hall.”
I nodded watching as he reluctantly walked away. Turning back to Kihyun I looked at him expectantly. Rather than meet my eyes, he shot a sharp glare at the nurse jerking his chin in the direction San went as an indication for her to follow. She shot me a terrified look before unsteadily walking backwards and turning to speed walk her way to catch up with San.
Once the two of them were gone, Kihyun strolled his way to the front of the cell again.
“Well doctor...ask away. I’ll try to answer as honest as I possibly can.”
The liquid honey was back in his voice. Not having San beside me ramped my anxiety, but I tamped it down to meet Kihyun’s eyes.
“You’re a hard man to pin down Mr. Yoo.”
“So I’ve been told.”
“You’re usually so careful. Why don’t you tell me how they caught you this time?”
He shrugged. “I guess I got careless.”
Somehow I doubted that.
“If I remember correctly, your last victim was a stock broker?”
“Dale Avery. Real nasty one there.” He grinned grabbing the bars to his cell and leaning against them.
“How so?”
“History of embezzlement, money laundering, domestic abuse.” He tsked. “Gambling addiction too. His poor wife. If you ask me, she’s much better off without him. But then again, you already knew all this. Didn’t you doctor.”
“So that’s what it was? You felt the need to get rid of him simply because of his rap sheet and because you felt sorry for his wife?”
Kihyun grinned leaning his head on one of the bars.
“Heavens no doctor. I killed him because someone was willing to pay a hefty sum for his body to be six feet under and he unfortunately wasn’t able to offer me a better alternative.”
“A better alternative?”
“More money…..information……whatever piques my interest really.” He smiled lazily, but the sadistic glint in his eye wasn’t lost on me.
“Do you offer an alternative for all of your victims?”
“Sure. Everyone deserves a second chance.”
The intensity in his gaze was making me uncomfortable. I looked down to his file. Usually, it would contain all the information known publicly including criminal records, background checks, demographics, but Kihyun’s was unusually empty. It had his most recent arrest, a short demographics section with an included picture, and a small paragraph pertaining to his role in the group he’s known to run with. MX was one of the nation’s most wanted group of individuals. Even more so when it was discovered that all the members worked in close connection with one another.
“What about your colleagues? Do they offer the same……mercy you do?”
He tilted his head, hair falling into his eyes. As crazy as the man was, he was undeniably attractive. Then again, historically there were always a few serial killers who used their looks and charisma to get their way. Easier to lure in a victim and fool them.
“I can’t speak for them. I have my way of doing things and they have theirs. I won’t answer any questions about them doctor.”
Licking my lips, I nodded. As much as I wanted to know about them, I knew it wasn’t the time nor place. I was here for a job and satisfying my own curiosity wasn’t part of it.
“Do you ever feel bad?”
“About what?”
“What you do. Do you ever feel remorse during your ‘jobs’?”
“Remorse.” He pondered that word for a second. Eyebrows pinched together as if it left a bitter taste in his mouth. “Why should I? Anyone who’s ended up on my hit list deserved to be there for one reason or another.”
“No one deserves to die Kihyun.”
“Oh really? You know, there are men out there much worse than I doctor. Traffickers, rapists, child abusers….the list goes on.”
“Maybe so, but some people would disagree.”
“Perhaps those people should be thanking me.”
“So you think of yourself as a vigilante then?”
He chuckled as if my questions amused him.
“No. I’m just a greedy bastard that has an itch to kill people. I’m no hero doctor.”
“But you’re aware of what you’re doing. You know it’s wrong.”
“Wrong is a variable term. My activities are simply outside the realm of what society deems as normal and acceptable behavior. What’s considered bad here is acceptable behavior in another part of the world.”
“Murder isn’t acceptable anywhere.”
“Because the thought of someone harming another person has been drilled into your pretty little head as unacceptable. However, doctor, tell me this. Is it wrong if it’s in self-defense? What about for the sake of the lives of other people? People kill each other every day. Some situations deemed extenuating circumstances and others not. Who’s to be the one to determine that?”
“Then you believe yourself to be innocent? That what you’ve done is forgivable?”
His eyes burned into mine. Excitement swimming in the melted chocolate depths. He was having fun. Toying with me even. He seemed to purposefully ignore my question as his head lazily rolled to the right again just in time for San to be visible from his place against the cell bars.
“Time’s up.” San grumbled swatting the doors with his baton. “Hands off the bars.”
Kihyun let go and backed up slowly. His eyes sought mine again and let a slow smile split his lips.
“Until we meet again doctor. I look forward to a favorable decision.”
San laid a hand at the base of my spine, lightly moving me away from the cell. I finally snapped out of my stare off with Kihyun, letting San lead me down the hallway. Neither of us said anything as we made our way back out of the cell block. It was quiet again, but Kihyun’s words rang in my mind.
I look forward to a favorable decision.
